My first impression of these apartments were at the top of the charts, that wasn't until I met the management. The first person I was introduced to was very unprofessional in her dress, I thought I was at a whore house. She was very rude and not very informative at all. The manager herself is clueless to why she is even working there. You would of thought she worked at 7-ll. On top of that, if you put in a work order, it never got done unless you pestered them to get it done. We put in an order to get pest control and they never sent them. Why I even chose to live there is beyond me. They have so many regulations that they themselves don't know what they're for, but they don't hesitate to enforce them. Safety is another issue. My wifes truck was broken into and the gate clicker was stolen and the manager tried to get us to pay for it. They acted like it was our fault even though we secured the vehicle. No compassion what so ever.
We hadn't even been there a day and weren't home and when we returned there was a notice for disturbing the peace with a STEREO,.....WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A STEREO! Our overall experience was undeniably horrible! I would live under a the bridge of the 95, with peak traffic before even thinking about living in that hole again. Management was probably trained from a monkey seminar feeding on bananas!! After 3 months we were out. My suggestion, if it says "shadows" in the name there is definately something lurking beneath it!

I lived in these apartments for 6 months. The apartments themselves are not bad. They are fairly new however I did have some minor problems with the heat and air conditioner (it took them a week to fix it). The are in a good location and I felt pretty safe there. The grounds are well kept (they should be, they ran their spinklers on days they weren't suppose to) and they have covered parking for each apartment. That being said, beware of the office staff. They are extremely rude and unaccommodating. They make their own rules depending on who you are. Never mind there are people living in garages, if you back your vehicle in, they will tow it. Their reasoning was they needed to see the registration. Duh,....the tag is on the front. They also sign for packages from UPS and Fedex without insuring they left a notice on the door. Their excuse was sometimes children playing remove the notice. I do realize that is not their responsibility, but I did NOT give them authorization to sign for my packages. They also only give you one gate remote. I attempted to get another with a deposit, I was told they didn't do that. When I ask about a pin number for the gate, they didn't have one of those either. Only if I had a LOCAL cell phone could I let myself in without the remote. Almost everytime I enetered the gate, there were people waiting for someone to come and let them in. Parking is another issue. You have one assigned spot for each apartment. Otherwise you have to fight for the few open unassigned spaces that are available. And again, if you park in an assigned space (because you can't find another open one)even if the apartment is empty, they will tow your car. Then you usually end up walking a good piece to your apartment. They seem to have a hard time keeping staff. I saw three different maintenance guys while I lived there and numerous different office staff. I even walked in one day when the office manager was repremanding the "girls" in the office for not getting along with each other. When you have a problem they advertise on call maintance, but that's only is they happen to be home. Otherwise you have to wait until they come back. Thank goodness the maintenance guy was coming home when my compressor blew-up on my AC. Although he couldn't fix it, he did ensure it wasn't going to catch in fire.
I had a horrible experience, my company signed my lease so the office staff would only deal with them. But, if they hadn't received the rent on the due date, (also payed by my company) they were putting notices on my door. Makes alot of sense, just like everything else there. I'm just glad I made it out with my sanity. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

I was very disappointed when I visited this apartment complex. The manager was very rude and unhelpful. I have never had such a horribe experience looking for an apartment. To anyone who is looking for an apartment; I would definetlly dicourage looking into Shadow Hills as a place to live.

I had a wonderful ecperience visiting Shawdowhills Apartments, in fact I am now a resident. The staff was very helpful in answering all my questions and concerns and even went beyond their normal job description to help me get the power turned on. I live by myself there and feel absolutely safe. I have lived in a couple different apartment complexes and have never had an experience as well as this one.
