Wow, from reading the other comments I'm only going to sound repetitive. I agree with just about everything. Ok i agree with everything. I beleive this is a criminal training ground, Las Vegas SWAT trains here too though. (maybe I could start my own reality TV show here) I have owned several cars because of this place. Extremely frustrating. I have owned a JEEP, it got stolen. My fault right, why would you ever own a soft top vehicle. I drove a new volkswagen, there must be some very very large pigeons, cause I keep finding extra large grade A eggs on my hood and windsheild. I also drove a junk minivan thinking that my be the solution to it. Just don't own anything nice and they will leave it alone right. Nope, somebody had a compulsive urge to keep slashing my tires. I have been running with the bulls in Spain and i felt safer with big A@* bull chasing me than everytime i try to pull out onto Charleston Blvd. i admit it, I got conned into this place by the free rent and no deposit. I needed a place to live close to work and ASAP when I moved here. I had a big STUPID stamp with permenant ink made and it sits by the door so i can hit myself on the forehead with it everytime I walk in the door. All the appliances are ancient but i'm sure thats not the way they would describe it, They might say vintage. The "SECURITY" gates and "SECURITY" guards, thats what they advertise anyways. Their employees, they leave faster than any of the tenants are capable of. Just to give you an idea of how much I want to move. I am in the military and I just so i could break my lease I put a request in to go to Baghdad. I'm not kidding, I really did. He said they needed me here for right now. I have no luck.
I have discussed all of the problems with the manegement and have been very freindy and patient with them........BUT when I spoke with them today to let them know I was leaving (because my lease is up),the problem with this is i cant give them the full 30 days notice. They told me I had to pay anyways. I said no, and said we need to find some middle ground. the room temp. dropped about 20 degrees, They said there is never an exception to any rule, I raised the B.S. flag, and got brushed out of the office. I know they are just trying to do their job, but cmon. So in retaliation for no compromise I am posting on every website I can find and if your military, im politely pushing the Base Commander to put this place on the off limits establishments.

I have lived here for two years, and I can assure any interested party that the previous negative comments do not remotely approach the squalor of this hell-hole. Yes, there are safety and parking issues that give cause for the destruction of the building and the homes of its owners, but the lack of competence on the part of the staff exceeds that of so many stones placed on desks and told to watch the property. I recently gave my notice that I am leaving (by the grace of God Almighty), and all seemed to go well. I wrote my check for the prorated rent, and went about the business of preparing to leave this wasteland. Just today, I was served with a notice that I owed MORE THAN A FULL MONTH'S RENT PLUS FEES! I assume this to be one last effort on the part of these animals at Antigua Bay (do not forget the name) to squeeze me for that last bit of cash.

In addition, the tenants here can be divided into two camps: those like myself begging to leave and those who shoot each other and steal cars, thus joining the staff as reasons for us to leave. If you meet the following qualifications, then rent at Antigua Bay:

1. You have committed a great sin in your life, and you wish to pay for it now before you die.

2. You know you will be condemned to hell upon your death, and you would like some practice.

3. You have absolutely no concern for your monetary or physical safety.

4. YOu possess no command of the English language.

5. You are a moron.

6. It was either this or a plot in a Venezuelan cemetery.

7. You cravenly seek the direct proof that there is no God.

If you match ALL of the above criteria, call Antigua Bay today! They're looking for someone just like you!

If you don't mind paying your rent to a Management Company that makes a mockery out of the English language and treats prospects like suckers, ANTIGUA BAY is for you. According to a "Mission Statement" which appears on their website, supposedly adheres to "a high standard of business ethics." Based on my experience, that declaration is essentially hot air. Recently, I drove by the complex. I noticed a huge banner proclaiming: "TWO-BEDROOM BLOWOUT! 431-7888." When I got home,I accessed their website on FORRENT.COM. The Price List indicated that the rent for two-bedroom units started at $750. I subsequently called their Leasing Office and inquired about the BLOWOUT SPECIAL. I was informed that rents start at $770 per month -- along with a $250 non-refundable deposit plus a $200 non-refundable "cleaning fee" and a $35 "Application Fee." They said $400 would be subtracted if I signed a one-year contract. To me, this sounded like their everyday script, not a "blowout." I pointed out that on their website, rents started at $750. They said the price had gone up. Quite frankly. I felt like a sucker. Advertising a "blowout" after raising the rent and offering a $400 discount which essentially equals the cost of moving-in, is pretty rotten, if you ask me. The last thing I expected after responding to their banner was to be offered higher prices than those advertised on the worldwide web! The phrase "Blowout" implies a SUBSTANTIAL DISCOUNT, not a price HIKE. Moneyglossary.com defines "BLOWOUT" thusly: Retail
merchandise quickly sold at low prices. A $400 "reduction" on a one-year lease for a unit whose rent was simultaneously jacked-up and that requires a $385 Move-in, AMOUNTS TO A 15 BUCK REDUCTION! That's hardly a "blowout." ANTIGUA BAY must think renters are stupid. The authorities ought to indict them for FALSE ADVERTISING and for treating the public like SUCKERS.

Beware of this complex. After moving in, you are supposed to have an assigned parking space. After several trips to the office, no assigned space is available. The management does not do anything to rectify any problems. I was forced to wait 3 hours before I could move in, and the apartment was still not ready. I have submitted several work orders, and as of 4 days, nothing has been done. Basically, they will be more than happy to take your money, but will do nothing to please any tenants.

I have lived in several apartment communities in several states, and I would say that this has been by far the worst experience I have ever faced. After only four days, I am researching the Landlord Tenant Act for Neveda to get out of the lease. That is pitiful.

DO NOT EVEN BOTHER TO VISIT THIS COMPLEX, MUCH LESS LEASE HERE.

We lived at this complex while our home was under construction. The Management staff was very unprofessional. Big lack of security. Three cars that we know of were stolen from the parking lot while we lived there. Other cars would park in our space often. Management did nothing to prevent or correct this. We had many maintainance problems that would linger on for weeks with out any resolve. Please avoid this property. It needs an ovehaul from the ground up!!!!
