I have lived here for 2 years now, I moved in when the apartments were managed by Conam, and I have to be hoest, they were much better as far as keeping the "Rif Raf" out of our community. By that I am talking about the type of tenents that RMI is allowing to rent here, I don't want to put myself above anyone else, but I have noticed that there seems to be alot more crime in this complex and I see drug activity going on here, and I have heard others talking about knowing of a meth lab that was here not too long ago. I have seen 7 people living in one apartment here, which is not only illegal, but "TACKY"
I have also noticed that there seems to be alot of children playing in the common driving area in our complex, playing ball, riding bikes, etc.... were as Conam had a strict policy about that, it is not only dangerous, but it makes the quaility of living here go down because of the noise, don't get me wrong, I love kids, but not screaming and yelling and running around the streets were I live. I have also noticed that the dog owners here are ignorant as to not picking up their dog's waste! I have a dog, and every time I take him out, I have a bag in my hand, I have seen on several differnt occasions people walking their animals without a bag in hand, and in fact on one occasion a lady was right in front of my building with her dog, after her dog did it's thing, she simply walked away from the waste, she had no idea that I was standing on my staircase watching her, and waiting for her to leave so that I could proceed with my dog, I asked her if she had a bag, and if she planned on picking up her dog's waste, and she replied to me, "Oh, I alway's come back and pick it up"
Yeah right! When Conam was managing this complex, there was a very strict policy that your animals waste was to be picked up immedietly and if it was not, you were given a warning, and after that they would either have the right to fine you or evict you. RMI seems to have no set rules or policies in place, they may seem to state their rules and regulations, but they are by all means not followed thru with. I think our manager Debi is doing her job well as RMI deligates her to do so, she cannot go above the means of the corporation, she simply goes by RMI's rules, Debi has alway's treated me kind and has alway's done what she can to assist me with any problem I may have in a professional matter, so all you people out there, start writting your complaints to RMI Managment and about RMI Managment, it is not Debi's fault, she is only following the rules she is handed down.
As far as me signing another lease "NO WAY" not a chance, I am moving when this lease is up. I do not feel safe here, and RMI is lowering the standards and quality of living here. I don't think I have ever seen so many people move in within 1 months period in my life as I have seen here, I believe that RMI is renting to any one they can rent to, and not screening any of their tenents.
This apartment community has done nothing but go down hill, and I am not only speaking on my own behalf, I know of people that have either moved, or have said that they will not sign another lease as well. I not only think the community has gone down hill, but the cost of rent here, and what other apartments in this area has to offer is by all means in no comparison!
This complex has absoululty no ammedities to offer in comparison with other apartments in this area, Re; ceiling fans, updated appliances which includes: a microwave oven and a semi decent stove, old fixures that are falling apart, poorly patched and painted over walls, blinds that are old and falling apart, and counter tops that look like they have been chiped and stained for years.
I am sure at one time these apartments were very nice, but they have not been taken care of, and are falling apart . I have found after researching online that I can get a much nicer apartment with all the ammedities in this same area for the same amount of rent I am paying now, that is sad, and that is what I plan on doing, I deserve better for the amount of rent I am having to pay.
RMI, I think you should step back and take a long hard look at this complex, it is going down hill, and fast!
