Open Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Free tours are held daily at 10:30am and by appointment at 3:30pm. Shelby American is located at the entrance to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

I wanted to visit the museum, but I was unable to get there. As a visitor from Canada, it was my first visit to Las Vegas. I saw the Carroll Shelby museum in an AAA Tour Book. After arriving in Vegas, no one was able to tell me how to get to the museum. No one had even heard of it! After studying a map, I figured it was near the speedway, so I took the MAX bus to the end of the line in North Las Vegas. I went to a nearby hotel and still the clerk knew nothing about the museum. I figured I would call a cab to get there. I was told it would be up to an hour to wait! I was running about of time, so headed back to my hotel on the strip. This was a great lost opportunity since I would have loved to have visited the museum. You need to promote the museum so the locals know about it. And you need some sort of transportation for visitors.

Carroll Shelby Museum       
Month Visited: 08/02 - Good
If you are a Shelby fan this is a must see. It is about 15 to 20 miles from the strip but is worth the trip, atleast it was for me. They have a showroom displaying past Shelby cars and they give you a small tour of the shop where they are building the Series 1 cars. and when you are done here you can get a tour of LVMS right next door.
