- Good It was literally the best place I went in Las Vegas. It was 115 degrees in Vegas and only 75 degrees at the mountain. Take the beaten path and look for the coolest waterfall...Make sure you bring drinking water and hiking boots. The trails can be dangerous, but well worth the effort!

- Good Awesome! The strip was 105 degrees the day we went to Mt. Charleston. At the Mountain it was a cool 72 degrees. The trail we hiked was beautiful and practically empty. If you need to get away from the strip this is the place to go and clear your head.

- Good Mt. Charleston is located about 1 hour from Vegas and it feautes a great view. The only thing is this is just your typical mountain. The thing that makes this mountain unique is that it is locate in the Mojave desert with a elevation of about 10,000ft (that you can get by car). The mountain is a must see if you are a nature fan but I would not recomend if you have young kids because it can get boring up there due to the fact that there is nothing special to do up there.

- Good I have been going to Mt Charleston for over 40 years. It is beautiful up there and it smells so fresh, it is always invigorating. There is skiing at Lee Canyon which is, maybe, an additional 10 miles from Las Vegas. There are two lodges at Mt Charleston. The first one you come to is the newest and very nice with wonderful food and a restaurant with magnificent veiws. The one higher up is older, quaint and by a nice hiking trail to Mary Jane Falls. There is a lodge at Lee Canyon also, but I've only been there while ski season was on, so I'm not sure of their hours otherwise.

- Good Just returned from Las Vegas and drove to Mt. Charleston. Beautiful drive - worth the 45 - 60 minute trip to get a touch of the desert and mountains.
Had a nice lunch at the restaurant at the top.
