Better than the sirens at treasure island. The eruption was not to spectacular but if you are there with someone or even yourself it is a nice sight to see.

As a Las Vegas NATIVE this is my all-time favorite attraction on the strip!! It's so powerful, you can feel the fire on your face! And it's FREE!!

Great attraction! Never did smell the pina colada. The show is every 60 minutes now.

I've seen the volcano dozens of times, and I love it! The best place to view it is to the right-hand side of the volcano. The left-side is also a decent view, but you can see the lights at the top of it, which takes away from the overall affect. Plus there's more action (just a little bit) on the right-side where the "lawa" flows down into the water.
It's been around for about 15 years, but still gets quite a crowd around it. It's free, so that's also a plus.

This is really nice to see once or twice but not something that sticks to you like the fountains at Bellagio. Only because it's just a repeat of the same thing whereas Bellagio is different each time and accompanied by music. The fire is real and hot. The noise and shaking is real sounding. It's a good experience especially based on its location. Not hard to get to it.

This is a neat show. Its short, and not so exciting, but fun to rest your feet for a few minutes. Its kitchy without being tacky. Just what I expect for a Vegas attraction! The kids really liked it, and the rest of the landscaping is worth seeing in itself!

Another great way to bludgeon 15 minutes while walking The Strip is to view the Mirage Volcano @ night. Stand close to the hotel under the port cochere to get the full effect. The ground shakes, the fountain boils and German tourists ooh & ahh while getting seared by the heat of the flames. Don't forget to go inside to see the 20,000 gallon aquarium behind the front desk as well as the tropical rainforest, lion & dolphin habitats.

I thought this was pretty cool. Every night when I'd walk back to my hotel, I'd stop to watch it. As realistic as it can get. Sounds were great and the fire everywhere made it seem even more real.

Cool to watch once and it's free. Pretty short, but explodes every 15 mins.

There's not much to it, especially compared to the elaborate show of the Bellagio fountains, but it's hard not to grin as the volcano blows its top every 15 minutes. Bring your camera!

Definately adds atmosphere to the area ! Impressive !

We saw this show from the lobby side, SHORT people & kids have to get there first, as tall adults line up along the fence and act entitled... to a piece of ground in a PUBLIC PLACE! The sounds and effects are great! Good pic's with a 35mm camera, Travel Channel advised they use the scent of Pina Colada to cover up the gas smell, never smelled anything at all, gas or coconut. Great FREE show!

The Volcano at the Mirage is a must see. If you are anywhere near the Mirage at night you can't miss it. I think is is better viewed from the ground, however we had a room overlooking the Volano in June and we spent a lot of time looking out the window at it. People who say it is not realistic enough are way over critical. Let's hope they don't change this the way TI changed the Pirate Battle.

See it from several different positions. Only in Las vegas.

Cool show. We saw it at about 10 pm and it looked great. Took some great photos that amazed my boys. I am glad I did not miss it.

Free man-made volcano. This is a must especially if you have never seen it before. I think I've seen it 5 or 6 times. And like I said, it's free!

Was so cool!! Went back a second time. The effects were awesome, the flames on the water was a neat addition to the whole scene. Would recommend everyone take the time to stop and watch at least once.

We stayed at Harrahs accross the street from the Mirage and had a great view of the volcano from the 17th floor where we saw it from the top looking down as opposed to from the ground looking up at it. From where we saw it, it did not look realistic at all. We saw the fire clearly coming out of the tubes and could tell right away it was gas-powered. The sound was the closest thing to realism as there was. Maybe if we saw it from the Strip we would have had a totally different experience.

If you are around the vicinity, check it out but I wouldn't make a special trip just to go see it.

NOT AS GOOD AS EXPECTED BUT FREE. GOOD THING WAS IT WENT OFF EVERY 15 MINS. TAKE THE PIRATE SHOW IN FIRST THEN WALK BACK YOU WONT HAVE LONG TO WAIT.

Yes, it seems somewhat hokey but you're in Vegas, right? My wife had been here for work earlier & said the "lava" used to flow out from around the sides. It only flowed down the front when we were there the week of Labor Day last year. At night, it's still a pretty neat effect especially since the crowd can spread out and it's repeated so often. If you're on the north end of the Strip at night, you'll probably see it without making any particular effort to be there at the right time.

Short & sweet. Bet is was really considered something before the waters at Bellagio came to town.

It's short, sweet and free, if not entirely realistic. If you're in the Venetian around an eruption time, you can watch the proceedings from the 2nd-floor balcony. The further away you are, the better it looks.
