good show we won the tickets at the tropicana so we went to watch a free show.

Enjoyable afternoon, got 3 1/2 price tickets which never hurts. My father and bro in-law liked it as well. For the time and the price it's a good show and an excellent value. Wish the crowd were a bit larger, the theatre is nice, old style Vegas(which I love) but could use a bit of a facelift. Nice staff, nice show.

We saw the extreme magic with Dirk Arthur and I would pay to see this show again. We had free tickets. The magic and illusions were Excellent. Very good afternoon show and Highly Recommended if you like animals and magic.

We truly LOVED this afternoon show. The show was fast paced, the cats were beautiful, and the illusions and magic were awesome. Highly recommend for adults and kids alike. Especially, when you can get the tickets for the 2for1 price.

Besides the big cats, which are run off as soon as they appear, the magic part is pretty lame. Pretty good value if you have kids with you, but Rick Thomas is better.

Wanted to see the Rick Thomas Magic show at the Tropicana for the third time. Unfortunately he had moved the show. So we went to see Dirk Arthur's show. It was excellent! Even better than the Rick Thomas Show. Full of upbeat energy and flash. Would recommend the show as a "MUST SEE" while in Vegas. We will certainly see it again the next time we are in Vegas.

MY KIDS LOVED IT! This show was great! We loved all the animals especially the white tigers. My son
was even taken up on stage and used in one of Dirks acts!!!! he loved it... I was most impressed with
the tigers and with the appearance and disappearance of the train... Overall, the show was great for
the whole family! gotta see it!

Good show, amazing tricks, interesting perspective on his love for and care of his animals. He has quality assistants, a fast paced, lively show, and makes two of the biggest pieces of machinery appear that any illuionist has ever done. A very entertaining and worthwhile way to spend part of the afternoon.

I really enjoyed Dirk's show. I like how he interacts with the people and I liked what he did after the show when he signed posters took some pictures with people. You can tell that hes a nice person. The girls helped him alot so people wont get bored. I will come and see his show again and recommend it to my friends.

Good show for the money (buy one get one free tickets). Loved his trick with the duck in the barrel - haven't a clue how he did that one. Also the dancing white handkerchiefs was amazing. Wasn't impressed with the train or the helicopter though.

The show was good, I think my kids would have loved it.

he is really enthusiastic and his dancers help him bring in a lot of energy. the illusions were great and the music was good. the price is good and even if it was a bit more expensive, i feel that it would still be worth it. he is as good as any other magician, and he may be even better since he contributes to the community by protecting endangered species!! dirk himself is a very nice person, i had the opportunity to meet him, take pictures with him, and his cats!!

The show is less than an hour long, ten minutes of that is a video filler from "Animal Planet" of Dirk training the cats.
All magicians do the same tricks, what matters is the presentation. The dancers were very good, definitely the best part of the show.
The dancing handkerchiefs trick was quite well done.
Dirk introduced the locomotive as the largest illusion in town. They closed a curtain on stage, wheeled in a cardboard and fiberglass prop behind the curtain, and opened the curtain! No, that was it.
A large, curtained box, about eight feet on a side is rotated on the stage. The curtains are pulled away from the box and stretched across the stage. When the curtains are dropped, there is a prop helicopter extending out of the box. Well, the prop is either poorly built or in need of repair, because there are two obvious steps in the tail section where it telescopes in and out.
The "cutting the assistants in half and switching the bottom halves" was poorly done and went on far too long.
The "drill of death" trick was just pathetic.
The cats are on stage for only a few seconds at a time, just long enough to appear in a cage and then be run off to the wings.
This show is suitable only for young children, or older people who have never seen a magic show. They'd have a better show with just the dancers and no Dirk, the whole show felt like the did not have the content and were padding the time, short as it was. Music and lighting design were nicely done.

What a great show to see if you have kids! My girlfriend and I went to see this show and although it was pretty standard magic (although the helicopter and train tricks are pretty amazing), I got a great kick from listening to all the kids in the audiance EWWW and AHHH at every illusion.

FORGET THIS SHOW. It was dull and boring. Arthur came across like a smart alac teen ager who found an old magic book. Even at cheap afternoon show rates it was over priced for what you got. The animals were good, but you can see animals at the MGM Grand and Mirage.

The seating at tables is terrible. Difficult to see some of the show.

Waste of time - big time.

This was a "good" show, a very good value with the discount tickets readily available, and would be very suitable for children. He had a fantastic trick or two but most were pretty standard fare and not extremely well executed, None the less, this is probably one of the best you'll find, based on other ratings, for family entertainment. For a much more enjoyable adult oriented magic show, try the Showgirls of Magic playing at the San Remo.

Dirk's illusions are pretty impressive. The show is very fast paced and lasts just over an hour. His jokes are somewhat lacking, but the show is very entertaining. Cocktail service is very good. Drinks cost $5 for beer and $2.50 for soft drinks or water. There's also a commendable film about halfway through the show on the treatment of animals, habitat destruction, and endangered species.

We attended this show on a Sunday afternoon. The total cost was only $36 for three of us. Children under 12 are free. The crowd was very sparse but there was a lot of energy there. I've seen a lot of magicians and Dirk Arthur is as good as any. His work with the cats and birds is amazing. I actually was chosen to help with a magic trick involving a duck in a barrel and I swear I have no idea how he made the duck get into that barrel while Im holding it. This show is great for kids and adults. We had a blast.
