It's like going to the county fair. They have people running around taking you picture and trying to sell them to you, yet when I took out my camera to take a shot they tried to take my $2k camera. I ended up leaving because they are fools if they think I will give my camer to them!!!!! It was 12 minutes into the show and they would not refund my money. $60 down the drain. SCREW TI!

Better live than on TV, still not quite what I expected. Some of the "story" was a bit strange and it seemed "disconnected" but the performers were totaly AWESOME!
There is something going on all the time and it's hard to take it all in.

Mystere was the expected Cirque du Soleil show. It was enjoyable, but not the best Cirque du Soleil we've seen. The tickets were not unreasonably priced and our seats were great. We are always amazed by the strength and grace of the performers. Very enjoyable.

This show is Gorgeous, Moving, and simply unbeleiveable. BY FAR the best show in Las Vegas, possibly the best in the world. You simply MUST go to this show, there is no las vegas without it. It will change your views on what the human body is capable of.

PS. For those of you who were wondering about the "random" plot of the show, it is about the journey of man. For example, the taiko drums stand for a new beginning, and the babies stand for the bare human spirit, selfish and hungry.

"Mystere" was the first Las Vegas show I saw AND my first viewing of a Cirque du Soleil live show. Subsequently, I have seen this show at least once on each of the visits I have made to Vegas. There are many other excellent Vegas shows - including Cirque's other productions - but "Mystere" is truly special. (10 out of 10)

"Mystere" is perhaps the most endearing Cirque show. Its acrobatics, dance, and visual/aural loveliness are all well-documented - it holds up well in repeat viewings. But it also creates, more than any other Cirque show I've seen, a genuine bond between the audience and performers. If you sit on the ground floor, there's a good deal of audience interaction, sometimes as simple as performers venturing through the aisles, sometimes as elaborate as real audience participation. Even those sitting in the upper section have a good view of the excitement.

Moreover, the comedy in "Mystere" is superb. Be sure to get there at least 20 minutes before showtime for a marvelously silly preshow that kicks off the audience/performer interaction. Within the show, interaction comes into play in its comedic interludes, with characters that might be annoying in lesser hands turned into endearing, even touching figures of fun by this cast. If you've never seen a Cirque show but would like to give it a try, already love Cirque, or just want to see something beautiful, this is an absolute must.

Spectacular, but not as moving as "La Reve."
There are big laughs during the show, and the athleticism on display is nothing short of world-class.
I would pay to see it again, but this isn't the best of Cirque Du Soleil's productions.

UNBELIEVABLE! WOW! SENSORY OVERLOAD!

To call this a circus show is under-describing what this show is about. There is so much going on that those sitting in the front missed out on other things going on above and behind them. We sat in section 203 right in the middle and I thought they were great seats for $75.
The costumes were "colorful and interesting" and THE MOST AMAZING display of human strength I've EVER seen! There are two men who show phenominal strength and balance that they received a standing ovation.
There didn't seem to be much of a plot, though. The "baby" was kind of a weird touch (not a 'real' baby) and at times took away from the show. So you have to just ignore him to enjoy what's actually happening on stage. The only thing I could get from the "baby" is that the whole show was something that was in this child's imagination. Other that that, the show didn't really flow. HOWEVER, this is NOT something that made me not want to go again. The music was fabulous, the costumes were creative, and what these humans did was unforgettable.
I highly recommend it to anyone old, young, female, or male. It was THAT amazing. And this is coming from someone who rather be in the casinos gambling than to go to ANY show.

Great show, I have seen 4 big production shows, KA, S&R, BMG, and now Mystere. I would put Mystere right at the top. The atmosphere is just a step below KA. With KA, even the ushers have a certain personality. There is no real story but then again only KA really does of the big shows. However, the acrobatics and stunts are just unbelievable.

I won't go into adding to the other comments regarding how great this show is - it is great. I just wanted to add my thoughts on the seating. We sat in Section 203, Row BB and think this area is the best seating. I would not want to sit off to the side as the act does play to the front of the stage. And I would not want to sit too close as there is a LOT going on overhead that will be missed if you are in Section 103. BTW, you can't reserve tickets in the 100 Sections in advance as I was told those seats are for the casino.

Mystere is the marquee show at TI. It was the show that started the cirque-revolution in Vegas. Mystere is my favorite Cirque show, too. I have seen them all and Mystere is a combination of all previous Cirque shows. O, Zumanity, and KA are great shows BUT it is hard to repeat the magic in Mystere. O is beautiful to watch and it is amazing. KA's stage steals the show and makes that show amazing as well. BUT the gymnastics tricks that done in Mystere are breath taking. You can not go wrong with a Cirque show, it is just that Mystere is a hair better than the rest

This was my first cirque show in Vegas and I couldn't have loved it more. The preshow fun set the mood for a good, entertaining evening. I have since been to more cirque shows, but I highly recommend this for first timers. The performers were unique and amazing (although one did fall of the ropes) and the music was so good that I bought the cd afterward! I'm not that type of person but couldn't resist. I really loved this show!

Don't get ripped off watching O when you can watch Mystere for much less. Even though O has water stage the stunts are pretty much the same. Don't get trapped by the artsy fartsey ness of O and it's $225 tix.

Wow, can’t describe it. Simply the best stage presentation I’ve ever seen. Will definitely see another Cirque du Soleil show the next time we visit.

All seats in this small theater are good, but we were glad we booked two months in advance and sprung for the most expensive seats. We were in the third row just left of center.

This was my first Cirque show ever. I found it very enjoyable and entertaining. It had several humorous
skits but the strength, and athleticism of the performers is truly amazing.

At times the show does verge on childish, foolishness though not one-tenth as much as Blue Man
group. The best way I can describe this show, contrary to an earlier review, is that it is a Circus for
adults. (Imagine that!)

Like many of the other shows in Vegas these days, at $60, $75 and $95 the show is a bit overpriced.
(Though not as bad as Blue Man Group.) $25, $35 and $50-55 would be more reasonable. We had
excellent seats dead center of the closest section but I'm sure that we would have enjoyed the show just
as much, and not missed out on anything, had we been sitting (almost) any where else in the theater.

I had reservations about this show as it is expensive and looked weird, but if I could give it more than a 10 I would. PLEASE BEWARE: This show is not for everyone especially those of you who want to analyze it, ie, decide what character the costumes portray etc. Just sit back, relax and enjoy what is going on, participate if you are asked or encouraged and have fun. We had front row end seats and they were spectacular. If you take your kids (anyone over 4 would enjoy this I think) beware there are off colored references and some skimpy clothing but all in all it is one terrific show!!!!!

All of our party agreed that this show was nearly the most amazing show we had ever seen (second only in my opionion to Seigfred & Roy). The live music was superb as was the stage and scenery and as for the talents of the performers well they were uterly fantastic. Now comes my only two critisisms, I JUST DIDN`T GET IT ! I mean it was brilliantly performed but was there meant to be somekind of story or even message ? The whole show seems to jump from act to act (although they are all brilliant) Maybe it`s me but I just kept waiting for an explanation of what was going on and why. My next point is probably due to my own personality type but once I sit down to a show and they start picking on people in the audience and basically humiliating them I then sit through the whole show dreading being singled out, someone told me that it`s all pre planned and the audience members selected are planted (is this true? if any one knows please tell me via my e.mail address) if so I would relax more. We really did enjoy this show even if some of the costumes were a little wierd at times. I do think a special mention should go to the two guys who performed acts of strenght together. I would see this and any other Cirque show again, but only if I knew I was safe from random humiliation

Magical! This is my second Cirque du soleil show (O being the first) and....wow...there's nothing else like it! The performances seem to defy every rule of physics there is- PEOPLE CLIMB DOWN THE WALLS! This is a wonderful show, i would love to see it over and over and over again!

I especially suggest for children-- when my family and I went there were two kids in front of us (guessing around 10 and 6) and the were absolutly amazed! They would point things out to each other and even time i saw they're faces they were smiling and completely enthralled. It's just magical and exciting to captivate children as well as adults alike

I had never seen a Cirque Du Soleil show, and thought I wouldn't like it. I'm a fan now, and can't wait to go back to Vegas and see another one! It was very very entertaining from the clown before the show to the very end. Our seats weren't the greatest and we still were able to see everything. The acts they did were amazing, it is hard to beleive people can actually do some of the things they do in that show! I highly recommend it, and get to the theatre early or you may be part of the show!

I have never been a fan of circus-type shows (and I've never seen Cirque du Soleil show because of that), and I was skeptical that I'd really be won over by this one. My idea of a good show is, say, AC/DC. Well, I was wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed Mystere. Just a note: there really are no bad seats in the theater. We had front row seats, but I felt that midway up might even by better as it would allow you to take it all in. The front row really lets you see the performers as people, though, which is a nice reminder that they are actually real, as they do so many UNreal things. Also, there is a chance if you are in the front row that you'll be either 1) ejected from your seats by the clown before the show, or 2) chosen by the baby to be its mama (or papa). If this is the case, you will be picked on a few times throughout the show. It's all fun. I had trouble detecting the overall theme, but I didn't care, as the performances are so amazing it doesn't really need to follow a storyline or whatever. Also, the music is all live, and they follow the action on the stage. They are incredible. No taped music whatsover. That too is amazing. Go and enjoy!

I didn't get the story like others on this site but I was in amazement at what the performers can do with their bodies. That damn baby was annoying as hell. Great show! It was one of the best Cirque du Soleil's I have seen and I have seen all of the traveling ones. This was my first resident Circue show I have seen and I was really impressed. The producion had so many more capabilities than in the traveling shows because they could have a permanent stage. The theater was huge and it showed because of the huge back-drop and the most original stage I have ever seen. If I went back to Vegas I would see this show again in a heart beat becaue with the ammount of acting and things that were taken place during each act you could easily see something new everytime you saw the show. If you are in vegas for the first time this is the show to see and if you have never seen a Cirque show this is the one to see. You won't be upset with the preformance.

My 75 year old mother, my sister and I, both 30 something, all thought this show was weird. My sister best discribed it when she said she thought she was stuck in a Dr. Suess book. Some very vivid but strange costumes. Very odd and often times depressing music. Was it kind of a garden with a giant snail and strangely shaped pumpkins, onion heads, insects or birds ??? What was with the nude colored pregnant looking figures with saggy boobs? - that is what it looked like to me. We kept trying to find the story or theme but couldn't.
It was not a show of beautiful music and synchronized dance and acrobatic routines like I expected. If fact there were times that there was so much going on at the same time and at such a rapid pace, it was exhausting.
There were some amazing displays of physical strength. The two guys that could stand on eachother doing handstands were unbelievable. Same with the people that could walk up and down the poles like monkeys. The trapeze artists did stunts that I have seen at a much cheaper circus with more comfortable looking costumes.
As for the gray haired old man clown and pre-show, it was just plain stupid and obnoxious. The fat guy dressed up in a diaper, baby bonnet, talking baby talk and squirting audience members with a bottle made the eight year old behind me laugh. I found him juvenile and completely unamusing. There was no special comical talent displayed by either of these characters.
It was a very unique show produced by someone with an imagination. I will probably never see anything like it again and I am glad.
See Celine Dion instead. Her show is fabulous even from the cheap seats!
