I've lived in Vegas for 5 years now, and I saw Paragon maybe a year or two ago at Bellagio - wasn't impressed. GO SEE THEM NOW!!! They have new lead singers that ROCK! And, they're now at Mandalay Bay. I was blown away by the talent on the stage from the viola, violin, cello, keyboards, bass and drums - what an impressive combination - all incredibly talented. The male lead (Mike) is great and does some amazing James Taylor tunes. Listen to him with a glass of wine. But you need vodka straight up for the female lead (Candice). She is balls on. She brought the house down several times with a wide range of songs from Alanis Morrissette's You Oughta Know to The Cranberries Zombie. She has me, and my fiancee even liked her. It's definitely not your typical lounge band!

I go and see many local bands in the Cleveland, Ohio area and none have yet to compare with Paragon. I am into more modern rock, but the way they play is awesome. All "cover" bands should have a female and male singer so as to be able to play more variety. I wasn't at Mandalay Bay to see them, but ended up staying for the whole show.

I just saw this band for the first time at the Coral Reef Lounge at Mandalay Bay. The thing that piqued my interest were the three women with the violin, the viola, and the ciello in the warm up. Overall the band was great. I loved the term "symphonic" rock. I was surprised that Mandalay Bay would book a rock band in their biggest dance lounge. A couple of people have changed from the people that are shown on their website, including their lead guitarist. I thought the lead male singer/guitarist was great. The woman playing the viola is a real hottie. The bass player was very good too.

Now for my only criticism of the band. While the lead female singer, Candice, has a very good voice, she needs to be reeled in. Mandalay Bay had her volume too high, and she drowned out other singers when she wasn't the lead singer. When she was the lead singer she was so loud that she took away from the enjoyment of the band. When she doesn't sing, I don't expect her to stand there like a vegetable, but she moves and shimies too much in her fatigues and little top hat. When the lead guitarist made a small joke about her, she stormed out and wasn't around for the band introductions at the end of the set. I'm not saying this woman should leave the band, because she does have a very good voice, but she isn't as important to the band as she thinks she is.

By far the best lounge entertainment we experienced during our week stay. We would love to hear some original compositions. Excellent musicians and performers!

Paragon is one of the finest bands I have ever heard perform. Gerina's voice is incredible (she is a real talent). Mike is a fabulous guitarist and vocalist and the arrangement of songs with the strings is sometimes very moving. These guys rock, wonderful arrangements and Gerina DiMarco's voice make this a sure stop in Vegas. My wife and I enjoyed them so much, we saw them perform three times. A memorable experience!!!! A Must See! The sound in the Fontana Bar also makes this unforgettable!!!
