Everyone has to see this amazing show. That's all I am going to say. Go see it.

good show so is O, but O is far better.

The show has good acrobats and show effects, but the story line was not easy to follow and was boring. Have seen several of the circus shows and by far this is the worst of the bunch.

Visually amazing from the standpoint of the stage and set. Story and show move slowly and I had a hard time staying interest. Considering a $135 price tag, I would look elsewhere for entertainment. For perspective, six in my group saw the show and half of the group did not love it and half of the group enjoyed it mildly.

KA being the only Cirque show in Vegas that I had not seen, I was of course excited to see it. In the past 10 years, I have seen Quidam, Dralion, Varekai, Corteo, and at Vegas Ive seen "O" , Mystere, Zumanity and now KA.

According to Wikipedia, this is the most expensive Cirque production. NO doubt. The stage itself is a sigh to see. It is almost as if the entire production was an afterthought following construction of the $220 million set.

I suffered through the opening 15 minutes, waiting and hoping for a spark or the old Cirque. No luck. No stunning moves, just weak fluffy choreorgraphy framed by some stunning imagery for sure.

Where were the haunting lyrical numbers, the amazing gymnastics, the flood of mind boggling costumes? They simply aren't here.

Halfway thru, I knew. It wasnt coming.

In the whole production, there are perhaps 2 gymnastic acts that gave the only hint that this was a Cirque show. A rotating wheel ( a rather used Cirque routine as well as one that every Circus has) and the other act....a swinging couple on ropes. Nothing original here for Cirque.

All in all, this show was a stunning visual treat. The set IS truly amazing....but after an hour or so of that floating floor/wall....it gets old.
I Love Cirque and I JUMP at the chance to see them all.....but the whole time I was at KA....I was wishing I was somewhere else. I never thought I would say that about a Cirque show.

I guess for ALL the Cirque successes, one lemon is not a bad track record....shame it comes at such an expense.

If you're in Vegas, I'd suggest "O" and or Mystere for a true experience that has the total package and stunning jaw dropping effects that a true Cirque show can and should deliver.

The emperor has no clothes. It was OK, but not worth $100 a seat. The story is hard to follow, my wife
had a bit of a nap, and I was checking my watch after 30 minutes. The best part of the show was the
house crew, the harp out front and the fire blasts on stage, The acrobatics were OK, the set was neat and
the mechanical stage was cool - but really it was poor value for the money - Spend $25 and go to a
movie instead - I've learned my lesson.

This was my first Cirque show and I think it will be my last. Who is publishing these rave reviews?

I cannot understand why this show does not have a 9 or 10 rating as it is probably the best Cirque show in Vegas ( and we have seen and enjoyed them all). One comment indicates no acrobatics or cool stunts however from the very start to the very end there are incredible acrobatics and stunts which are all woven into a beautiful story. It was over so fast that we could not believe that 90 minutes had passed. The cost to see the show is considerable but worth every cent.

One of the all-time best shows I have ever seen in person; including concerts, broadway, etc. I must admit I have never seen a cirque show in person, but am very familiar with the concept. KA still blew my mind. Amazing super talented performers. Mind-boggling hydraulic stage. Very impressive, all of it. I did manage to score a great deal for $50 orchestra seats during a summer promo, but would spend the full $150 in a heartbeat to go see KA again. My seat was to the right, row F....AWESOME. But it seems to me there really is not a bad seat in the house. By all means, go see KA.
Kid friendly, yes.... but is VEGAS kid friendly....no. Please leave your children at home when planning a trip to Vegas. Please!

This is an awesome show, totally blew me away. The whole "KA" experience begins at the door, with the doormen and ushers dressed and acted their characters. The large theater is amazing, once you walked in, you feel as though you've been transported to another world. The stage itself is an absolute techno marvel, you'll have to see it to believe it (the underwater effect is amazing). Yes, the show is definitely different than other Cirque shows like "Mystere" and "O", "KA" has less acrobatic elements and more acting due to the storyline (most of KA's acrobatics are bungee or cable related), but I was totally immersed in the story, the environment and the whole experience. The entire audience gave a standing ovation at the end of the show. The theater, the stage, the music, and the performance were definitely worth the price of the ticket, and I would certainly see KA again! Highly recommend it!!

If you have not seen a Cirque show, see this one first. I've seen "O", "Mystere" and "Love" and "KA" is the best by far. The stage is amazing, I've never seen anything like it. If someone claims to have fallen asleep, they must have been stone drunk.

I don't understand the low kid rating. I'm pretty conservative (very conservative by Vegas standards) and I would have no problem taking my 11 year old nephew (I would never take him to Vegas in the first place, but that is another issue). Great show for all ages.

Save some money and buy the cheapest tickets. The stage is so large, I don't think it matters where you sit.

I fell asleep! This was my 6th Cirque Show. If it were my first I would never have gone again. There were no acrobatics and cool stunts. Very disappointed.

Overall it was a good show but I was expecting more. There are some dull moments.

WOW! This was a show of shows!
This is a suitable show for all. There maybe some mild fighting scenes but over all a fantasy play for the eyes and mind!

NO WHERE...can you experience a production like unto this phenomenal show. It is so stimulating to the visual senses...so much so that I am somewhat at a loss of words to describe the fullness of this presentation. The costuming, the music, the acrobatics, the storyline, the rythmic beauty all coinsiding together to make this one of the most hightened sensory experiences of my lifetime. New York ain't got nothin' like this !!! Even the enviroment presented by both the staging and theatre decor enveloped the audience to such a degree that I was indeed a *part* of all that was happening. I will see this production each and every time I visit Las Vegas....and am very tempted to make a trip there JUST to see the show again. In summary, Cirque du Soleil's "KA" is: The Most Beautifully Orchestrated and Visually Stimulating Experience of a Lifetime !!! I only wish I could give it a rating of 20.

KA, ok show. Show great visuals. There is a story behind this production. Advice to enjoy the show - 1. Don't try to follow the story - it will take away from the show; 2. Site as close as possible to the stage - this show unlike O and Love the closer to the stage the better the show.

One of the best shows I've seen period. My wife and I totally enjoyed and thought it was a bargain at $150. We've seen lots of Cirque Du Soleil shows, and would rate this one near the top (#1 for my wife, #2 for me behind "O"). WOW is the best way to describe this. There is not a bad seat in the house. I'd recommend the $99 seats or seats at least 10 rows back.

STUNNING, SPECTACULAR, BREATHTAKING, OUT OF THIS WORLD, and RIDICUOUSLY AMAZING are just a few ways to describe this new Cirque du Soleil masterpiece. The Los Angeles Times even called it "the most lavish production in the history of western theatre" and New York Times called it "Stylish...technically dazzling entertainment."
The story begins the second you walk into the theatre. Instantly, you are greeted by ushers who are actually actors themselves, dressed in red robes with swords and weapons on their backs. You may notice that the theatre itself is quite amazing, built customly for the show (i have never seen anything like it). Also before the show, warriors dressed in black and tattooed all over start performing acrobatics above the stage, as if transporting buckets of water and boxes. This is a realization of how good the show really is, IT HASNT EVEN STARTED YET YOU ARE HAVING A GOOD TIME!!!
As for the show itself, I must happily admit that it is a much more "masculine" show than other cirque productions, due to the theme of fire as well as martial arts mastery. Still, the show has its "feminine" side too, with extravagant love scenes and a plot that will have you on the edge of your seat. I can barely describe the acrobatics in this show, mostly because they are simply beyond words (and yes, they are that good).
KA will end with you wanting more, and the greatness of the show may even take a day or two of thinking to sink in all that went on, or at least it took me that long. Overall, this is a show you simply cannot afford to miss. The tickets are a small price to pay for the memories you will receive watching this masterpiece.

P.S. I do not recommend taking small children because of the fact that the show has some pyrotechnics, and they may get scared.

We saw Mystère on a previous trip, and loved it so much that we resolved to see a Cirque du Soleil show every time we visit Las Vegas. This trip, we saw both Kà and O. Kà was fantastic! Our seats were 102 F7-8, and they were excellent—just far enough to see the big picture, but close enough and centered enough to have a great view.

The performance was visually gorgeous. There were many Mystère-like touches of humor and whimsy, and having a linear storyline (unlike Mystère) helped hold our attention. We weren’t quite as astounded at the gymnastic feats in Kà as we had been at Mystère, but maybe that’s because we had already seen Mystère. The performers are incredibly talented, and the way the stage moved was amazing—unlike anything I’ve ever seen. We were entertained every single minute, and I would see Kà again gladly.

Cirque du Soleil's "KA" is having much-publicized growing pains, but it's definitely improved its pacing and storytelling in the process. You still should read the program before seeing it, as it explains the whole plotline (kudos to Cirque for doing this) and will greatly enhance your enjoyment of the production. As for the acrobatics and stagecraft, they help the show build to a rousing crescendo that still allows for small, tender moments. It's not for Cirque newbies, especially at these prices, but for those who like this kind of entertainment, it's good stuff. Arrive early; the ushers here are a show in themselves. (8 out of 10).

I am really amazed by the negative reviews for this show. I got motion sick on the flight into Las Vegas and was sure that I would not be feeling well enough to enjoy the show. My husband and I have seen O and Mystere, plus other Cirque shows outside of Las Vegas and loved them. However, this one grabbed me right away and I forgot that motion sickness. I loved the decor in the theater, the music, the drums. and the martial arts movements in some of the scenes. And, as previously noted, the stage is a character itself. Because there is a storyline, one is able to watch just about everything going on the stage, unlike other Cirque shows where your attention is split because there is sometimes too much happening at one time. I can see the problem if someone is expecting a traditional Cirque show, but theater evolves and I think Ka has evolved in a wonderful direction. There is room for both kind of Cirques in the world and both can be enjoyed for different reasons.

The show KA starts before you enter the doors and ends only a few days after you tell others about what you have seen. One of the best Vegas productions I have seen. I liked "The Blue MAN Group" because of the humor and the skills involved with the production. KA is more. KA is a play like no other. For the 1.5 hrs. you sit there wondering what is next and then finding yourself in awe as the next scene unfolds. MGM is home for KA and the production value for this show is of good value and of MGM quality.

Several people rated this show poorly, not because it is a bad show, but only because they had prior expectations for the show based on other Cirque shows. This show is different. It is amazing, but it is not like other Cirque shows. Well worth every penny, this show is unlike anything you have ever seen anywhere. Music and imagery is top notch. The stage dynamics are unbelieveable. The sound system is incredible. Although the story is a little hard to follow, I found myself completely immersed in another world and disappointed to see it come to an end.

Returning again next month with family and friends, and will be returning to see KA again!

Cirque said Zumanity was another side. KA is yet another side of Cirque. This show is Cirques version of a play. Therefore, it is not as acrobatic as Mystere or a visual as O. BUT KA has the best scene in all of Vegas. The WHEEL OF DEATH is worth the price of admission. It is hard to understand how a human can possibly do that. KA Theatre and Stage are part of the show as well! and words can not describe how magnificent they are. The Stage is not fixed to the ground. Instead it is a plank that goes vertical and rotates 180. This is a great show and I highly recomend it to anyone.

I've seen quite a few Cirque du Soleil production shows. This show was by far the worst show ever. What a waste of $150.00. See the previous bad reviews on this show for I totally agree with them.

Extremely disappointing. Was expecting a standing ovation performance similar to O and Mystere with the beautiful costumes, excellent correography, stage changes and hauntingly beautiful live music. Definitely not worth the $150! What were they thinking???

KA, simply put, is one amazing show. It is the most expensive production show ever staged (over $150 million), but it's not only the cost which makes it amazing. The theater grabs your attention from the start and was designed specifically for the show. KA is the only Cirque show with a story line, and it's a loose story at that, but it does help to frame the action. The show has a great mix of action and comedy and kept us on the edge of our seats the entire time.

And the stage--WOW! The stage is a technical marvel that is on hydraulics and can go up, down, and about every other direction. The performers are top notch and the musical score is also pretty good. The Finale tops everything off with a giant spinning wheel that has to be seen to be believed. I liked KA more than Mystere and O (which were both good) and is probably my favorite show in Vegas along with Mamma Mia. The tickets are expensive, like $150 each, but you do get a lot of bang for your buck.

This is the first time I have seen a cirque show and I was a little taken aback by the price of $300 for two people but I have to say the KA more than delivered. From the time you walk into the theatre, they bring you into the mood. Even the ushers have a certain personality. The theatre itself is custom made for the show. Then there is the show itself with the story, costumes, sets, and music perfectly in sync. The only problem we had was that we had seats in the front row which is too close. I would definitely sit farther back next time.

We went expecting to be amazed like "O" or Mystere, but were not. The star of this show is the stage. If you want to see a Cirque show in Las Vegas, I would look to the others first.

This was the first Cirque du Soleil show for me. It was absolutely breathtaking! Perhaps as a Cirque du Soleil virgin, I was easily impressed or something, but the stage and actors were wonderful.

My husband took me to Vegas for my birthday, and I really wasn't interested in seeing a show, especially a $150 per person show. But it was well worth it.

I thought that the "acting" was rather brilliant. The Imperial Twins, although surely portrayed by adults, were so amazingly childlike. There is a point where the evil guy is so sad... Not that I got the plot 100%, but what a touching moment. The scene with the snake was so beautiful that it moved me to tears.

I really didn't follow the plot that well, and I was relieved to find out that my husband didn't either. At least I am not dumb, since neither of us fully understood it. I would not expect a child to sit through such a production as they would surely not appreciate the effects that kept us so interested.

If you've never seen a real show before, you'll be blown away by Ka.

Having seen most Cirque shows this was a total let down and the cost of the ticket is waaaaay too much. We went to see it in the opening week so didn't have the advantage of hearing any reviews. It only redeemed itself by the audience being full of cowboys for the Rodeo. If you are thinking of going to see this I would recommend you go before you see any of the other Vegas Cirque shows or you will be bitterley disappointed when you start to compare them. We went on our last night in Vegas and it was a really bad end to a good trip. Spend your money wisely and go to see Mystere or O.

In a word, OUTSTANDING. Of the Cirque Shows that we have seen, this ranks as the very best.

However, for people who are looking for the more traditional Cirque type show like Mystere or Saltimbanco, where the tremendous gymnastic acts are loosely linked into a theme, KA will be a very different experience for you. It is one continous show with the absolutely outstanding gymnastic skills built as a part of the story.

Since we saw it last Thursday, we have not stopped discussing the various elements of the show and discovering that we had not fully appreciated all the stunning effort & skills that had gone in to different elements of the production.

This show takes Cirque to a new & very different level - one which we enjoyed just as much as their other, more traditional presentations. We will certainly go to see it again when next we are in Vegas - its that good a night out!!

We totally enjoyed the "Ka" experience! The theatre is amazing and seating comfortable. Speakers built into the headrests of each seat provide a true stereo like effect. I have to agree with other comments and go with the middle price seats. The view from ours was exceptional. We still can't get over the movement of the stage which seems for the most part to be just floating whether horizontal or vertical. Although the acrobatics were good, our favourite part of the show was the hand shadow part of the show. Such a simple act that was transformed into something touching and beautiful. Different than other cirque shows but delightful all the same.

KA is without a doubt one of the most exciting Vegas shows I have ever seen. Kudus to all the fine performers that do these stunts every day. Well worth the price of admission and highly recommended.

I had exactly the same experience as SAMANELSON, above. I've seen many Cirque du Soleil shows over
the years and enjoyed them all. I was very excited to share it with my boyfriend who had never seen the
company perform before.

"Ka" had nothing of what you would expect from a Cirque performance. No unbelievable acrobatics. No
feats of balance or contortionism. Instead you got a baton-twirling, dance show. The action was so
slow, I actually fell asleep for a moment. Other people were walking out. My date swears he will never
see another Cirque show again and I feel bad for recommending it having expected more. If you want
classic Cirque, see "O" or "Mystere" instead.

WOW!! Technically amazing, extremly creative and original.

We are Cirque Du Soleil fans and have seen Mystere, O, Dralion. Allegria and now KA
We would describe KA as third generation Cirque. If you have not seen one of the smaller productions i.e. Mystere or Dralion do not go to KA. In Las Vegas, Mystere should be your first option - it is wonderful and yet vastly different than KA. Mystere emphasizes individual acts and KA is produced on a much larger scale.

KA has infused a story line into the action, this allows the show to flow differently than other Cirques. This is not a negative but an advancement. The acrobatics and staging are amazing. You will experience a stage full of acrobats (15 or so) change from a horizontal to vertical position in a matter of seconds. How they stay on the stage is part of the magic of Cirque!.

We would suggest that you visit the gift shop before the show to view some of the costumes and read about the unique story line - this will help to explain the changing scenes.

Advice for seats: No need to buy the most expensive seats as half of the action takes place above the stage and in fact an up front $150 dollar seat would be a handicap as you would be looking up half of the time. The first few rows of the $99 balcony seats would be perfect to experience the action.

Bonus: Get to the show at least a half hour early as the ushers are part of the show.They become strange clowns and actually add to the experience even while you are waiting outside on line. In addition once you arrive at your seat, their is an aerial competition/show on the two sides of the arena by the acrobats that lasts for about 10 minutes before the show actually begins. Truly a unique beginning to a show. So, get there early!
KA is a unique and fascinating show! The BEST Cirque yet!

We have seen Mystere and O and really did not know what to expect from KA. We were totally mesmerized from the beginning. We entered the theatre and it was something out of the Twilight Zone! The show blew us away. WOW. The colors and the energy was something else. This show cannot compare to Mystere or O because it offers more than just trapeze acts and dancers. What you see here cannot be found at any of the others. The music is piped into your seats. The story is easy to follow and the excitment will have you on your feet. Those who say this show was dull or boring are out of their minds! I found O to be very slow and Mystere to be very funny. This show with all the martial arts is so fast paced. The percussion keeps you into it from the start and the story keeps your interest to the end. You will see things in this show that mess with your mind! Well worth the money. Best show in Vegas.

I have mixed feeling about this production, I liked it, but it didn't have a certain quality that the other two Cirque du Soleil shows had.

The technology is simply astounding, the stage is frickin' awesome. The best part of the whole show! And the enviroment is wonderful! Right when I walked into the theater a performer came down from the ceiling, upside down, right next to me. It was awesome!

Unfortunately, the acts weren't anything up to par as I hoped. They put so much glamor into the technology, but there was no content...I didn't leave the theater saying "that part was amazing!" or "how is that humanly possible?" or "can the human body actually do that?"-which is how it was mostly with Mystere.

Overall, if you're a technological guru, then it is a must see.

We've seen Mystere, O, Allegria and Dralion in person. Both of us felt that Ka blew away all the others (we'd give Mystere a strong second place of the Cirque shows we've seen.) It is simply an amazing piece of theatre. I saw it when it was in previews, then took my wife over the 4th of July. She felt that of all the shows we've seen, her favorite was "Phantom of the Opera" and Ka was second. I'd put Ka first in my list. I liked it even better the second time around. The soundtrack isn't going to be available for another year, which is a shame. But don't miss the show.

What a huge disapointment!! this was so discomboobarated!! I have seen all the circes and have never fell asleep!! here we all did, four of us! I felt like a bad acid trip! never had one just heard about it!
don't waste your $125.

I saw this show on a Tuesday night and went expecting to be blown away. The theater was amazing and the ambiance set the appropriate mood. Unfortunately, the show was (in my opinion) not up to Cirque standards. On several ocassions, I found myself drifting away from the storyline (it just couldn;t hold my attention).

This was the least enjoyable of the three Cirque. Both O and Mystere were much better in my opinion. The quality of the performance was not up to the price of the tickets. Save your money and see another show

First of all, let me say that I am HUGE fan of Cirque du Soleil. Over the past 15 years I have seen Mystere 4 times, Varekai 2 times, Saltimbanco 3 times, Nouvelle Experience 3 times, and Dralion and Alegria once each. The essence of Cirque, to me, is the complex integration of music, staging, venue, on-stage support "players", and the actual *acts". In a great Cirque show all come together and meld into a homogenous sum that is far, far greater than any of the individual facets alone, and, indeed, the integration of all of the factors is what makes Cirque unique and fantastic.
This show, KA, has absolutely jaw-dropping staging and venue. The sound is fantastic, with in-seat speakers that innundate the viewer with sound. Throughout the performance I continually was amazed and astounded at the enormity of the physical staging of the performance.

And that was the problem.

Unfortunately, the rest of the show is a complete bore. The music is redundant and nowhere near the scope and/or depth of other Cirque shows. The "acts" are, aside from 3 pieces, mundane and truly boring. A few of the pieces are absolutely pointless and the show would be far better without them. The show is about 20 minutes of good theater spread over 90 minutes of blow-you-away enormity of staging and bombast. But is that worth $150?? No. It isn't worth the price of the cheap seats, either. The very scenes that do actually work are repetitive of previous productions, re-dressed in new costumes and staging.
KA is, without doubt, the weakest Cirque du Soleil production I have seen. If it were the only production I had seen, I would never see another.
Despite my attending of several productions, and a few of them several times, I do not feel that Cirque can do no wrong (I felt that Dralion and Alegria were poor, as well). In KA, they fail miserably. This is the worst theater show I have seen in a long time, perhaps the very worst show I have ever seen, period.

Good show. I think this was just as good as O. The showroom is amazing. Don't believe the bad reviews, go see it for your self. The whole audience gave a standing room ovation. Three encores.

I saw a traveling cirque show last year and it was amazing. I had never been to a show before but got lucky when a friend offered me a ticket. The show was fantastic. I had raved over and over to my husband about how awesome the show was...

He decided since we were going to be in Vegas for our annivesary that he would surprise me with awesome tickets to the new show KA. I was so excited not only for myself but for him too, since he had never experienced a cirque show before.

Well, the excitment died out after about 5 minutes into the show.

The show was slow and we had a difficult time staying awake (and we were at the 7:30 PM PT show time). I noticed that others around me were getting up often to use the bathroom or get drinks. During my very first showing of cirque, everyone was glued to their seats.

I just kept thinking, ohh NO! I am never going to get my husband to attend another cirque show again!

The staff was very nice but the overall show was lacking in a lot of areas, especially at the high ticket price.

I would not go see this show if I were you.

Saw the show on 5/14 and the show was great. The performers and the stage were amazing. Recommend the $99 tickets. Our tickets were in the last row and we got an excellent view of the entire show. I don't think their was a bad seat in the entire showroom. Another big plus in my view was their treatment towards those with handicaps. We required the use of a wheelchair, and they were very helpful from the start to the finish. I can say that this was an excellent show and I can recommand it to all.

Saw the show on Sunday night. Got tickets that same day. $150.00 a pop and we were in the center row K. Five seats down from us was Patrick Ewing and his family. In other words, we had great seats.

The theatre was something in and of itself. A really nice place that lets you know that you are not seeing just another show somewhere. They plan on being there a while it seems. Unfortunately, that's where the excitement ends. The sets are pretty decent however, there just seems to be "filler" during the show in between the karate-sword play and a few decent scenes. For this kind of money you should be on the edge of your seat.

The performers are world-class. It's just the story or the flow of it that breaks down. If you haven't seen "O" or even Mystere' I suggest you spend you rmoney there. Those shows are incredible while this one is just ok. If you think you can see this show and not expect "O" then check it out. I couldn't and I wish I had seen "O" again. Heck, even La Nouba in Orlando is better than KA. The lack of audience applause should be telling the producers of this show something.

OK at best. The tickets were $150 apiece, but the show did not live up to that price. Our seats were great, and the show was ok. The performers were very talented, but the show just didn't envoke the "WOW" reaction I was expecting. As stated earlier, the theater is awesome, but the production just doesn't live up to it. I actually felt myself dozing off toward the end of it.

Very disappointed with this show. I've seen Mystere 3 times and O and the one in Orlando, and this is by far the worst, especially for the money. I had looked forward to seeing it for months, yet after 45 minutes of the show, I looked at my watch and realized that nothing "cirque" like had happened yet. The stage is impressive, but the story line was hard to follow (and I had read all about it beforehand). I'd say this was just my opinion, but lack of applause by the audience, I know I wasn't alone. There's only two 'acts' that are worth the cirque reputation in a one hour and 45 minute show. For $125 a ticket, I'd rather go back and see 'O' or Mystere again. They need to revamp this, or it won't last long!

Wow! What show did those folks who rated Ka before me see? I'll apologize in advance because I'm about to offend a lot of folks. If any of the KA "actors" are reading this, please understand I think you're quite talented and these comments are not directed at you.

OK. I'm a fan of Cirque, but I don't feel the need to wear it like a badge of honor. I've seen Mystere, O, Drailon and a couple of others. Heck I even watched every episode of their somewhat goofy short lived TV show. But I'm starting to think that we are asking too much of them when we want them to keep "blowing our mind" in new and creative ways.

So about KA. Well, all of this crap about the story being great and easy to follow... I don't think so. These twins are separated because of some bad guys raiding their village, they have some adventures separately, and at the end they and their people come together and vanquish the evil folks - or something like that. The fight scenes were often sloppy, there were far too many of them, the "adventures" the kids had were weird (not in a cool Cirque way, just in a bad way) and the ending was anti-climactic.

I found the hype about "good vs. evil" that you read on the Cirque website to actually confuse me more while I was watching the show than someone who went in without reading it. I kept thinking that these kids were going to be separated at birth, grow up differently, and there would be a clash between the good and evil siblings in the end. No such luck.

All of the comments about "emotional standing ovations"? Not the crowd that I went with. For the first time at a Cirque show I saw quite a few folks getting up early to beat the crowds out of the theater just before what was presumed to be the end (myself included for the first time). There wasn't that much applause after most of the "acts" either. I'm starting to wonder if those previous ratings came from a bunch of MGM employees. I mean, there is no quality control on RateLV.com. Anyone can put anything here, and I'm living proof of that. :-)

There were a couple of scenes that were up to Cirque's WOW factor. Unfortunately they only constituted a few minutes of the couple hours you waste. For the first half hour or more I just couldn't believe it was Cirque. There are high schools that could reproduce the human elements of the show. Almost none of the Cirque style acrobatics we're used to.

Bottom line. Even though this show is currently in "preview" I can't see how it's ever going to be worth the $125-150 they are asking. Cirque has sunk a ton of cash into an overly complex set for this show but missed out on the meat of the performance. Those people giving good reviews before me must have had one of three things going on: a) they had been drinking, b) they were MGM employees or c) they just wanted to fell good about the huge dollars they dropped to see this crappy show.

Definitely not your expected cirque show. No amazing acts with the awsome music to go with it. This a musical show that tells a story about 2 waring tribes that decide that war is not a such a good thing in the end. While this has some cirque type performers doing some very unique things as part of the story telling, what you get is a very high tech stage and theatre doing a play set to music with no dialogue or lyrics. Is this Cirque du soleil's subtle attempt at protesting the war in Iraq. The timing sure does suggest that. For the price it does not compare to "O" or "Mystere". But not a bad show at all.

For people that havent seen another cirque du soleil they seem to enjoy it quite a bit. I however was bored, dont get me wrong they do some amazing stuff, but overall its long and drawn out. Its the shortest of the cirque shows but seems the longest.
A couple in front of me left before it ended and I was fighting to stay awake. So if you go at least try to hit the 7:30pm show so you have better luck staying awake. They did however get a standing ovation at the end of the show I'd like to think it was from pity or excitment that it was over.
The story line is dumb nothing exciting about it and very anti climatic at the end. If you do decide to go stick to the cheapest possible seats. I got comp seats and would have been pissed if I had paid $150. Go see "O" or Mystere well worth the money you spend.

best show ever

The real star of this show is the theater.The engineering and detailing are incredible. Great site lines, speakers in seats, etc. Parts of the show itself are amazing, others are dragged out. LOTS of martial arts style stage fighting which can get very old. Of the 6 in our group, 3 loved it, 3 where indifferent. Glad I saw it, but for the money, don't need to see it again.

We went to watch KÀ on New Year’s Eve. Overall it was a good production. The theater and the stage designs were amazing. KÀ was different from other Cirque du Soleil performances as KÀ has a detailed plot throughout the entire show. It did not have that many “featured” acrobatic acts though, especially in the first half of the production. Furthermore, these acrobatic acts were not as astonishing and delicately executed as others. In the particular performance we went, there were a few mishaps. We think Cirque du Soleil has realized that it would be impossible to continue finding talented acrobats to produce new shows because these resources are limited. They would have to find other means such as enhanced special effects and stage designs. We have gone to six Cirque du Soleil shows, and we would rate KÀ “average” compared to others.

Ka is wonderful. I still think "O" at Bellagio is a bit better, overall .... but Ka is a very close 2nd. Ka has
some scenes which are just unbelievable. The stage and set are like nothing you have ever seen, or
ever imagined. There is a good vs. evil storyline with this one, which just helps to propel the show. As
with all Cirque shows, tough to describe or critique. Remeber when Matrix first came out and everyone
was in awe with what they did with the camera work, special effects, etc?? This show does the same for
theater and live performance. In fact, there is a bit of the Matrix acrobatic-combat feel to this. Yes, it
is expensive, but Vegas isn't cheap and shows aren't cheap. Come to Vegas a couple of times and see
O and Ka.

First, to give an idea of my perspective, I love Mystere and think it’s the best show on earth. I have seen all the Vegas Cirque shows multiple times and several touring Cirque shows as well. KA is supposed to be the first Cirque with a true theme, but as you might expect the theme is very much in the background. The theater and stage are impressive and utterly massive. The stage is unique: it is a large abyss with a huge rectangular platform that can rotate in all directions. The performance takes place on this platform. The show was definitely inspired by martial arts and is a bit crouching tiger in flavor. Like O, this one has fewer of the traditional Cirque elements and is more of just a big production show done in Cirque style. Near the last 20 minutes or so, you do get some of the more traditional acrobatic Cirque-type stuff. Unlike most other Cirque shows, this one has no hint of sexiness whatsoever. I don’t think there’s a single thong worn by anyone. Think of the old school martial arts flicks, Yakuza tattooing, and the Borg (of Star Trek) and you get the picture of what the theater, stage, and costumes are like. I really like acrobatics, so for my tastes, no show has yet to top Mystere, including this one.

We were blown away by this performance and the theatre. You walk in and immediately feel part of the show right at the start (by the way, all seats look like good ones and they are incredibly comfortable!). The performance is nothing short of spectacular. It's like watching a major motion picture, in person. It's very different from the other Cirque performances and it's uniqueness makes it so refreshing. There was an emotional standing ovation at the conclusion of this performance that was richly deserved. It's a show that shouldn't be missed.

Lets just get this over with. Give it a ten, and save up your pennies for this show so you don't spend any unnecessary money on other Cirque shows because this is the best. It is the second best show I have ever seen. The acrobatics and amazing front stage are the stars of this show. The audience on December 5, gave a prolonged standing ovation, which was returned by the cast. I will call this an aerial ballet, with the plot moving from one acrobatic, juggling, or tumbling scene to another. The scenery is spectacular. The repelling is unbelievable. It sure looks to me like people can fly in this show. Go see it if you can budget out the money.
