On a recent trip to Las Vegas I was lucky enough to enjoy the Wynn’s show “Le Rêve”. This Cirque du Soleil show is composed of mythical dreams and beliefs and brought to life by a show full of pyrotechnics, water dancing and unbelievable stunts. The show surrounds two lovers who find themselves separated by a dream. The audience finds themselves caught up in this dream. As the main character dances her way through several sequences you become enthralled by the character. Her poetic motions and amazing talent will capture your attention to the final moments. When performers are dropped from the sky into the million gallon water tank you will be memorized at trying to figure out how they do it. This is talent at it’s best. It is a vivid imagination of dreaming full with lively music and a wonderful cast that offers one of the best shows on the strip. Keep your money out of the slots and off the table and use it for this enticing beautiful show.

"WOW" is the only word I can use to describe this 75min water show. Both Dragone & Wynn have pulled out all the stops to present a breath-taking trip through dreamland. Complete with athletes & swimmers, flying & floating, dancing & swinging... you won't know where to look. While you're there be sure to visit Down Parasol, order a drink & sit outside to watch the "free" water show (on the hour).

Amazing and entertaining. I have to think that the negatives reviews must have been from a much changed show. The show was very fast and beautiful and the athletes were wonderful. I didn't smell anything nor see nudity and the set was incredible. The theater is small, so all the seats are good. The best show we saw on our last visit compared to Chris Angel and KA.

Went a couple nights ago and loved it, lots of crazy stuff to enjoy. This is my second time and it was much better from what i understand it had some flaws when it opened but has been retooled. I would recommend seeing it. Tickets are pricey but you'll enjoy. Not really a bad seat in the place.

Got our discounted Le Reve ticket thru the 1/2 Price Ticket Outlet on the strip. Sat in the first row, received a few minor splashes, but not really wet, I'd recommend these cheaper splash zone seats as you'll get pretty close look at the performers. My first impression was that the theater is a lot smaller than I expected, especially compared to "KA", which we saw on the previous night. And to my surprise, the Le Reve theater was only about 70% full on the late Thursday show. Reading from the comments here, I think the show has changed a lot from earlier. There's no longer any topless nudity or girl-to-girl scene or girl with whips or appeared to be pregnant. (Although there was a guy wearing exposed fake female boobs, not sure what it was suppose to represent.) But the show remains sensual, with hints of sex (male-female and male-male). The lead female character (lady in red) is beautiful, and I enjoyed the 4-men-in-white-tux comedy. The show has more dancing elements and less acrobatics than "O", and it does not "wow" you like "O" does. If you can't get tickets to "O", or if you enjoy more intimate settings, then I would recommend Le Reve.

'saw the show on 8/27/07 (7:00 p.m.) Oddly enough, the theater was half empty. Having seen Zumanity, Mystere, Love and "O" this show offers nothing new. Yes, it is spectacular with lots of diving and amazing high-diving), splashing, special effects and heavy-duty staging. I counted over 50 performers. I failed to get the story - something about a dream sequence(?)- but it has no bearing on the show. If you have not seen "O" this is a don't miss show.

Holy cow what a show. I can't wait to see it again. We sat in the splash zone, take the savings the seats are great. You have eye contact with the performers. Did receive a few splashes - did not get wet. There is so much action it's hard to know where to look. The show is over so fast and then you realize that time did not stay still. I will make this show part of my annual trek to Vegas. Words do not do this show justice. You must see it to believe it.

Great show. Previous comment about reminding them of "O" is only natural. Franko Dragone is the creator or "O" for Cirque and was hired by Steve Wynn to create "Le Reve". Talented creator, great show, a must see. Venue doesn't have a bad seat, except perhaps the first few rows in the splash zone. You may get wet, which is all part of the fun, really.

I saw O at Bellagio twice before and this time (in November), I decided to try Le Reve (in addition to O for the third time) since it was one of the newest shows in Vegas. Before flying to Vegas, I did some homeworks. There were a lot of websites where they compared Le Reve against O. And my prediction (purely based on these subjective comments and impressions available on the internet) was that Le Reve must be a "O-wannabe" or "another water show".

Well, I won't mention any details of the show since it could be a spoiler. But let me say that I actually liked Le Reve. Both at O and Le Reve, I was pretty close to the stage (third or fourth row). This time at O, I felt kind of too close to the stage, though. The O Theater at Bellagio is so large in size that if you're far in the back, you can enjoy the full view of the acrobats on the stage, but you end up feeling as if you were outside observer (as opposed to having the exciting feeling of being a part of the show). And on the other hand, if you're close to the stage (like my case this time), you're just too close to fully enjoy the large-scale water show. On the other hand, Le Reve Theater was well-designed, I would say. Since the theater has the water stage in the center and the audience surrounds it 360 degrees, and the slope of the audience seats are pretty steep, wherever you're, you can feel the stage very close to you.

Technical points. I would give more to O than to Le Reve. Nothing can beat the large-scale acrobats on and above the water in O. There are a lot of acrobatic performances in Le Reve as well, but they won't stun you like O does (or KA does). The direction of performance-wise, O tends to go right and left as opposed to in Le Reve, the performers go up and down a lot.

Artistic points. I believe they use frankincense incense in the O Theater. Sort of religious smell of theater was something that will stay in your memory. But when it comes to music, I would give more points to Le Reve. The music used in Le Reve is very solemn and almost smells religious. It makes you feel like buying the CDs. And this cleve choice of music in Le Reve gives you an impression that it's gracefully artistic. O uses typical cirque-du-soleil-ish naive music most of the time, and I personally don't care for it. I would buy a DVD (if it were available), but won't purchase soundtrack CDs of O.

Story-wise, neither O nor Le Reve gives you any consistent story line with any messages.

Unless one is looking for a breath-taking super-acrobatic performance, I think most people will enjoy Le Reve without any problems.

I thought the topless acrobat in the show was unnecessary. The show was phenomenal up to that point and then for no reason a topless girl comes out and starts doing flips for a brief period. What was the point? I was embarrassed for her and wondered why? The show did not need that. I would like to take my grandkids but after that, I would not.

Le Reve was by far the most spectacular show we've ever seen. We were all in awe of the strength and ability of these performers. We've seen many Cirque shows, and to our amazement, these performers can do the same things, and they're wet! Absolutely amazing... entertaining. We intend to go back and bring our kids. The small bit of nudity was not necessary but did not damage the show. The show takes advantage of every inch of space they have available with a wide variety of acts sometimes going on all at the same time. Crowd involvement was fun and interesting. The show is absolutely a 10 of 10.

Date Seen: 08/06 - Good Show
I was curious about "Le Reve" if only because I am a huge fan of Cirque du Soleil shows. For the confused, "Le Reve" isn't an offical Cirque show; it is an independent production put together by people who were once with Cirque. This show has had a rough time - especially as the flagship show of Wynn Las Vegas - and it may well be a very different show within a few months according to reports (the original director is gone). As it stands, if the whole show was as wonderful as the exuberant fountain act at the end is, there would be a masterpiece here. But the aerial acts threaten to blur together and make the show seem like one big parade of repitition. The other acts included here - water ballet, hand-to-hand, and handbalancing - are well-done, though hand-to-hand has nothing on "Mystere"'s similar, but considerably longer, act.
There's quite a bit of comedy, more than in any of Vegas' Cirque shows. These clowns get some genuine laughs, but the too-basic jokes are beaten into the ground fast. The bit about the red caps is typical - it's too much trouble for too little a point. (Especially if you've seen "Mystere", you may be disappointed.) Still, there is a lot of real beauty here, and it's never less than professionally performed. If you like these kind of shows, by all means give it a try. It can grow on you despite its flaws. (7 out of 10)

This show was incredibly intimate and inspiring. I have seen many Cirque and Dragone shows--Mystere, O, Ka, Dralion, Varekai, Celine Dion--and I was not expecting anything special or unique from Le Reve. After seeing Le Reve, it has replaced Mystere as my favorite show even though they are a close match.
For Cirque fans out there who felt that Dragone lost his closeness to the audience when he went from Mystere to O, I strongly recommend you see Le Reve. Much like Mystere, the theater is perfectly intimate (not one bad seat, and this time everyone sits around the performers), the music is romantic and emotionally charged, and the performers offer great acrobatics and give off a very good energy. This show makes O look like a mis-matched variety show. La Reve is, as it's name implies, The Dream. I recommend it to anyone and will see it again very soon.

This show was absolutely magnificent. It was beautifully choreographed and the athleticism displayed was world-class.
I didn't understand much of what I was seeing. But then again, "La Reve" is a collection of imperfect dreams, so I guess we're not supposed to grasp everything on display.
I didn't care for the homosexuality occasionally on display, but it didn't damage the performance in my view.
This was the most amazing visual spectacle I've ever seen, and I was truly moved by it.

All three compliment each other so much... Le Reve works in to a place where O should have been... if you like unabstructed close views of the entire stage in the round... with some of the best cast and crew, not to mention live music and amazing effects... you can't go wrong with le reve!!! i want people to start going to this show and support it so it doesn't leave town like ave. q and hairspray... this is a one of a kind lifetime experience you won't forget!!!

I didn't know what to expect when I purchased my tickets. I had seen O and thought that La Femme would be an O knock-off but boy I was wrong. The show was more visual than acrobatic. The comedy interludes between the main performances were wonderful (better than O's). This was a fast paced attention grabbing affair. There was a brief topless scene (which was not necessary) and a girl/girl scene that was seemed out of place - While neither of these scenes bothered me, they just didn't mesh with the rest of this entertaining enveador. The two questionable scenes probably makes the show less child friendly to some but my general review is very positive

Went to see this show as a birthday treat whilst we were in LV. It was absolutely breathtaking. We have never seen a show like it and would recommend it to anyone. The performers were all faultless and the way the stage moved was awesome. You have to see it to appreciate it. Would definitely recommend it. We were in the 3rd back row ($99 each) and would say that these are probably the best seats as you don't have to crane your neck to see the performers who are high up.

This show is in my top 5 for Las Vegas. It's very artistic and beautiful. It's romantic and sensual like vegas should be. I would not bring a younger child; but it really depends on the maturaty level of the kid. It shows fire, snow, rain; it's really unbelievable! It definetely isn't your typical cirque type of show. It's emotional; and it does seem to have a dark side to it. But it's realistic and artistic at the same time. Dreams seem to be confusing, sexual, dark, and sometimes just bizarre like the show. I recommend seeing it! People shouldn't take entertainment too seriosuly, it's art!

I agree with the last comments this is a great theater and a great stage but not enough acrobatics. The show is very visual with things going on all around you. I think they try to make this show a little racy but it does'nt really help the show at all. This show is worth seeing if you like the other cirque shows in town and all seats appeared to have a great view.

Glad I wasn't paying!! We got 4 comped tickets and were more entertained by the high-rollers at the craps table waiting to go in. This is most definitely a Cirque "wanna be". Too much up & down on the cables to the ceiling with not enough acrobatics. The girl performers had their legs spread way too much and what was with the possessed topless dancer? This was supposed to be a dream sequence but I can truthfully say I've never dreamed close to this or about dangling dead men in trench coats! The darkness to this "show" was disturbing and I had a hard time even looking at the "devil" character. But the biggest turn off to the entire thing was when the girls came out in pairs and undressed and caressed each other. This had nothing to do with the show and was only an attempt to promote lesbianism. If they would have stuck to the outstanding diving and acrobatics (the back muscles in the guys were unbelievable) this show would be worth it. For us, it was simply a beautifully designed theater put to waste.

Update: Just saw this show again in March (first time in 11/05). Sat first row this time. Got a little wet but no big deal. They hand out towels anyway. Our group LOVED it. It is beautiful, haunting, and funny. Yes there is some suggestive moments, but this is Vegas: gambling, drinking, strippers, etc. It is very tastefully done, although I probably wouldn't take someone under 16 or so. The music is incredible. This and Mystere are definitely my favorite shows in Vegas ( and I've seen a bunch).
Original Post: Excellent show. They let you know, up front, there is no story. So you don't worry about trying to follow it. Just sit back and enjoy. We sat third row and did not get wet. The smaller venue puts you in the middle of the show. Unlike "O" which, for me, got a little tedious, this show keeps you interested. I'd see it again.

It was beautifully put together, better than "O" which I also saw this trip and, though excellant, did not seem as polished. I will see Le Reve again when I return, it was that good. The occasional sexuality in the show was tastefully presented and an integral part of the beauty of this performance.

This is basically a cheaper "O". Maybe not as big, but it's a great show for people who enjoyed "O" and also those who doesn't want to spend the $150 to see "O". The smaller venue is particularly good as you can really see everything very well even if you don't get the best seats when all those are sold out. Mid-section is definitely the best. Great visual spectacle...as others have mentioned, there aren't a lot of acrobatics like some of the other cirque show...but it's very artistic. I tend not to find the acrobatics that appealing..might as well watch the gymnastic competition. It's the visual and sound effect that makes these shows appealing. A general great show...and I wouldn't say it's that sexual at all...c'mon..it's Vegas! I am glad there's some alternative to "cirque"

Seemed like a good idea, theater layout, these reviews, BUT, the show stank, literally. What was that
smell anyways? Some kind of plumbing problem? Ruined my experience, but what experience, anyways?
By the way, where were the costumes? Don't expect to see any acrobatics or theatrics people expect to
see at a Cirque show..., and forget the costumes you are used to seeing in shows like "O", or "Mystere" .
Seemed like "La Reve" was put together in a hurry, i.e. concept is missing.
Maybe that's why they thought to throw in a few insulting sex scenes. Not that sex, or sexiness is
insulting, but are you kidding me ? !! Were the simulated humping scenes necessary? Glad my parents
got to see the side preformances of the male actors with their faces down between the girls' legs,
pretending to be "EATING THEM OUT"...for a couple of painfully slow minutes while the main act was
going on. Neat-O. Not sure how that or the prolonged lesbian scenes along the sidelines fit into the
theme of the show...unless we are to believe that dreaming about having oral sex, or giving lesbanism a
try, or humping with the girl on top will lead to pregnancy. That's how the show ends, the main female
character, the one with the whip, ending the show with her stomach appearring pregnant. That's so
special.
Some people laughed, but I am not sure at what. I was still choking on the fouled-water smell. Couldn't
have been more DISAPPOINTED. Makes me feel GREAT about the money spent. How about you see for
yourself, eh? OR, Instead, buy a $14 cocktail, wait for 23 minutes to get it, watch the dozen or so
hookers stroll into the bar area, or sit outside by the water "show". The giant head that pops up out of
the water will make you fall out of your chair! No kidding.
I suppose if you never saw ANY kind of show, then you would be impressed by "La Reve", maybe. Don't
forget to bring something, a scarf, anything /something perfumed so you can tolerate that smell,
whatever it was... P.S. Was that topless performer a man or woman, or a He/She? Way to go WYNN, a
real class-act. Oh yeah, forget about complaining. THERE IS NO MANAGER at the ticket counter and the
staff doesn't know how to refer anybody qualified to handle concerns. neat experience.

Apparently this show has really improved since it opened in April. I consider it at top 5 Vegas show, comparable with O. The theater is beautiful, and there is a combinations of water, solid stage, and lots of entrances from the cyclorama, the top of the theater. Bring your camera. Many of the cast pose for pictures before the show starts. If you are bald, you might want to wear a hat, because otherwise four guys in tuxedos will say hello to you and try to dim the shineyness of your head.

Very nice theater design. You are really close to the stage no matter where you are sitting, you can see the facial expressions on the performer's faces and see how fit and young they really are. The show is good but not great. It gets kind of monotonous after a while though; its splashing/diving in water, then something aerial, then some "clowns" and then this is repeated over and over again. If you have already seen the "Cirque" shows, I would definitely recommend LA REVE. If you have not seen any of the other Las Vegas Cirque shows, then see those first.
