Good show! I was a little hesitant booking this show for my wife and I, but the worry was unfounded. The show is excellent and the music is uplifting. I was amazed at the special effects like the misty river, beautifully painted backgrounds, wardrobe, and fireworks! The show was also quicker than I anticipated but well worth the money! I loved our seats too, but unlike the box office attendants I actually think the closer the better for seats to this show. PS. if you get a chance after the show walk close to the stage and you will see the live orcestra under the front of the stage - wow!

I was a HUGE fan of the story, I saw the ballet adaptation in my country (Puerto Rico) many years ago and I have the movie. Is the first time that I saw the opera and I was crying because I so sensitive and the story is beautiful, the BEST show that I've ever seen in my life. Two thumbs up

Awesome show...great experience...balcony seats allowed us to see it all. Voices were wonderful, effects just great. For a Broadway experience made in a tourist environment, it drew me in...I forgot where I was til we left and had yet another time share salesman ask where we were from.

Beautiful production even if you are not an opera fan - A first class show that was a real treat. We have seen many shows in Vegas and this is in the top two! Don't miss it if you have the chance.

I bought tickets for my wife and myself in Row H, and the show was FANTASTIC! I knew the basis of the "Phantom" story in advance, but my wife did not. However we still equally found the production exciting and enthralling. Previously I was a snob for some of the better Cirque du Soleil performances, but I have to recommend the Phantom as the first choice to anyone who is thinking of visiting Las Vegas and taking in a show.
Found myself humming the tunes for the next couple of days… Warning – this can be a bit embarrassing at the Three-Card Poker tables…

I saw this show last August, and it was wonderful! Acceptable for children, as long as they are well behaved. The set pieces were breathtaking, and I felt the hair on my arms raise during the introduction. A must see!

Shades of Jet Blue. We were held hostage for two hours last Sunday the 1st of April when a technical difficulty arose prior to the 8pm show. I can understand that as complicated as this show is those things happen.. But be forewarned.. if this happens to you.. there were at least 1000 very very angry people still waiting after two hours in a lobby so crowded that you couldn't get to the bathroom. Impossible to get my 134.00 back as the line was 4 deep abreast and hours of waiting. And no... the chandelier didn't drop. Dreadful experience.

This show is EXCELLENT!!! It is an absolute MUST SEE. Eveything was perfect! The effects, the stagecraft, the pace of the story, the singing, the acting- It was just so well performed and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. What a wonderful evening! I do recommend getting familiar with the music and the story. I felt that this helped me to enjoy it much more.

This show is excellent for what it is. "Phantom - the Las Vegas Spectacular" did not appeal to me; I was pleasantly surprised. The special effects serve the storyline well. They're not overblown (well, only a few are). The story, while hurried, plays well also. The show strikes a good balance. I’d recommend this show to anyone who enjoys Phantom, and isn’t offended by the idea of a Vegas super-size performance. The cast was good. The vocals ranged from adequate to good. The orchestra was good. The acoustics were excellent. The production was excellent (again, for what it is). The seats were adequate (mid-quality movie theater seats). From what I could tell, all of the seats have at least a good view. The show is suitable for children, but only children with a pre-existing interest in the subject will be entertained.

Good show. Not suitable for children because they would be bored. If you are expecting a good Broadway performance you need to go to Broadway! It is good for Vegas, comfortable and enjoyable for sure. The people who compared it to KA or acrobatic shows are not comparing apples and apples. As for prices, all Vegas shows are too expensive as are most of the restaurants. If price is a concern then don't go to Vegas.

We have seem them all...and PHANTOM is the best show in Vegas.
This Phantom is better than Braodway production.
It is shorter, not intermission...which gives you the chance to be more involved with the characters. Sound in theatre is amazing...just front row seats miss out on the chandalier. Seats are not comfy..they are new..but are exact replica of French theatre.
Still ahs the best acting, singing and production of ANY vegas show...bar none...

How much you like this version of what's advertised as the world's most famous stage musical will depend on how much you're expecting and how much you're willing to spend. (7 out of 10)
The "spectacular" part of this production doesn't compare with the current crop of super-shows such as the Cirque du Soleil quintet or Blue Man Group, the latter of which was massive at Luxor and apparently a bit bigger now at the Venetian. The custom-built auditorium looks right, but onstage the new effects are fewer than suggested by the hype. The enhanced chandelier effect is excellent, but otherwise the significant new effects are limited to a moving staircase for "Masquerade", a fireworks display and a rising facade of the opera house as the prelude to same - the display is good but "KA" has a much bigger one - a Phantom shooting fireballs from his hands, and a death cage for Raoul in the climax. There is more detail to some of the sets and the occassional small twist on the old staging (the death of the stagehand, etc.), but I really expected more for a show charging $82-157 with taxes/fees - especially since it's been edited to 95 minutes. (They couldn't finally have real actors instead of mannequins on the staircase?)
So if you're paying for this show, you're paying for a condensed, gussied-up version of the original instead of a truly innovative experience. As it is, it's as well performed as any tradtional production that I've seen (though the male leads I saw were a bit too earnest vocally). If you're coming out to Vegas and haven't yet seen stuff like the aforementioned Cirque shows, Blue Man Group, or similar only-in-Vegas ventures, and especially if you've seen this one elsewhere, you don't need to see this unless you're a monster fan. But if you are and/or you're a repeat visitor who's seen the other titles, give it a try. The $82 balcony seats are excellent, by the way - you get a great view of things, especially the chandelier effect; I wouldn't pay more for the ground floor seats.

As a big fan of Broadway, I really went into this show hoping it wasn't "overblown" by Vegas. It wasn't. The show was fantastic!! The integrity of the orginal musical is maintained and enhanced by the special effects. Wonderful evening.....can't wait to go again!

More SPECTACULAR than any other performance I've ever seen of Phantom! Very VEGAS!! Truly a show Vegas can be very proud of!! Phantom lovers will love it and anyone who has not seen a live performance of this show needs to see it in VEGAS. Congratulations to Gill Theatrical Management and the Venetian! Here's to MANY years of success for this wonderful show.
