(Sorted by date of seeing Danny Gans, latest date first.) If you have seen Danny Gans, please ADD your own comment. Date Seen: 08/07 - Bad Show Boy, wish I'd seen this website before four of us spent $400+ to see what was nothing but a cheap lounge act! He simply isn't worth it. We sat about 10 rows back & couldn't even see half the stage in his "personally designed" theater. Clearly he is talented, but I'm not sure exactly who might have voted him "entertainer of the year" (the Mirage Hotel, or if compared to "Amazing" Johnathan, perhaps?)..if so, its not saying much about the entertainers in Vegas. I'm not hard to please, but Danny Gans was BORING. He had a few bright moments- his Johnny Carson Karnack was funny & a few of his other skits were on the mark, such as the Al Pacino/Scent of a Woman routine & George Burns. But as others before me here have pointed out, there just wasn't much to this, his singing imitations were very brief & about half off-tone, & his lengthy Forest Gump act will absolutely put you to sleep. Word must be spreading, as we went on a Saturday night & there were plenty of empty seats- probably why his billboard is in hundreds of places all over Vegas, trying to keep this dreadful act alive. If you can get bargain tickets, then do it, otherwise, go see "O" at the Bellagio, an awesome show for just a bit more $ & now the hottest ticket in town. <mcmtn -at- yahoo.com> - Naperville IL USA - Added 09/04/07 - [24.14.122.***] 7714 Date Seen: 08/07 - Good Show One of the best shows I've seen!!! He will make you laugh, cry, and laugh again. I've seen him 4 times now. A Definate must-see!!!! <tlsevier -at- sbec.com> - USA - Added 08/06/07 - [***] 7688 Date Seen: 11/06 - Good Show Gans was top notch. Everyone in our group of 6 loved him. Sat in row GG (8) off to the side and still could see everything just fine. His impersonations were right on for the most part although a few of the musical groups he did were ones I was not too familiar with. Probably overpriced a bit at $100 (Tom Jones was only $75 for second row center seats on December 7th at the MGM Grand)although he worked his butt off for about an hour and 20 minutes. Gans theatre is way, way, in the back of the Mirage. Hail a cab. LOL! <ercbman -at- aol.com> - USA - Added 12/09/06 - [72.153.49***] 7166 Date Seen: 09/06 - Good Show Danny Gans has been the #1 show in Vegas for years and aftering seeing him, it's easy to understand why. The guy is super talented and very funny, and there is not a dull moment in the show. His range goes everywhere from the rat pack to motown to very current artists--the James Blunt and Daniel Powter impressions were dead on. He also does a fantastic Johnny Carson that had the audience rolling with laughter. Yes his show is expensive ($100), but that is cheaper than Celine or Cirque or Phantom, and seems to be the going rate for a Vegas show. Everyone in our party loved the show (ages from 25 to 55) and I would recommend Danny Gans to anyone, especially if you are a music lover. <crujones26 -at- yahoo.com> - Los Angeles CA USA - Added 09/18/06 - [205.245.130***] 6914 Date Seen: 04/06 - Good Show I saw Danny Gans with a group of 10 people in April. The same group is going back in November and EVERY single person wants to see Danny Gans again. These are the same people that have seen 1-2 Cirque De Soleils as well. Most of the negative reviews seem to mention the $100 price tag, or the 1 hour and 15 minute show. HELLO? It's LAS VEGAS, unless you're playing nickel slots all day, there's no where you can spend 75 minutes WITHOUT losing $100 in this town!!! As far as I'm concerned I save money by spending ONLY $100 to see Danny Gans. Maybe he can have an off night...but I've seen him twice already...and plannnig on a third time...and I haven't witnessed a so-called "off" night. I've sat in the $150 Cirque seats several times....you could offer those to me free....and I'd pay to see Danny Gans. I guess it all depends on what you like. <bgk10 -at- yahoo.com> - Bloomington MN USA - Added 09/15/06 - [64.122.82.***] 6910 Date Seen: 03/06 - Undecided This is not a terrible show but is only worth about half what you will have to pay for it. I don't know why this it such a hard ticket to come by their are better options at the half price ticket booth. <mookieh75 -at- hotmail.com> - Uvalde TX USA - Added 03/26/06 - [68.206.205.***] 6610 Date Seen: 01/06 - Bad Show He's not worth it. Jokes are stale and a decade old, still telling about Clinton and Monica as if were supposed to be funny and fresh material. Ridiculous. Audience laughs out as it were a painful cry to why they spent $100+ to hear this has-been. Impressions are either okay or downright wrong. Not worth seeing folks! <stevde -at- hotmail.com> - USA - Added 02/17/06 - [67.49.147***] 6499 Date Seen: 07/05 - Good Show Pay no mind to the bad comments. This is the best entertainer in Vegas.Danny is a singer, an impressionist and comedian in short Danny is great. On occasion an entertainer can have a bad night for example soar throat which happens alot when you are singing ever night, sometimes 2 shows a day.Just like a pro baseball player, he doesn't hit a homerun everytime at the plate.Same is true for entertainers.I've seen all of the great impressionist and Danny has the best all around show.Take it from a guy who has been entertaining 20 years, Danny is the top dog in Las Vegas and the only guy I see giving him a run for his money is Gordi Brown at the Nugget, a fast up and commer.Danny thanks for all of the great shows and the inspiration. <harleywoodent -at- netscape.com> - Crown Point IN USA - Added 07/30/05 - [205.188.116.***] 5554 Date Seen: 04/05 - Bad Show This was not an entertaining show. The immpressions all started sounding the same. There were a few laughs but overall it was awful. One of the people we were with actually left! I would not recommend this show to anyone. Save your money and see something else!!! It's not worth the ticket price!!! <megannmills -at- hotmail.com> - San Diego CA USA - Added 05/07/05 - [68.70.230***] 5273 Date Seen: 04/05 - Good Show My wife and I liked the show but expected more for $100 from "entertainer of the year". He is a pretty good impersonator/singer but not the best. We have been coming to Vegas for years and several times wanted to see this show but it was sold out. I was surprised, the show was entertaining but nothing special <robert100 -at- aol.com> - Kennett Square PA USA - Added 04/24/05 - [205.188.116.***] 5213 Date Seen: 02/05 - Bad Show Bang for the buck was terrible. I have seen better impersonators in lounges. IGo see Downtown Gordy Brown, twice the show, half the price. <la_na_ha -at- yahoo.com> - USA - Added 02/19/05 - [68.224.144***] 5087 Date Seen: 02/05 - Good Show Very entertaining. I got chills several times during the show. <mikewpal -at- hotmail.com> - Highland NY USA - Added 02/05/05 - [68.174.255.***] 5038 Date Seen: 12/04 - Undecided Big bucks and lots of hype. I was disappointed. When he came on stage, no announcement was made and I thought he was the opening act. 10 minutes into the show, I was wondering who this "wanna be" was. I mean I thought he was second string. Some of his impersonations were right on, but way to many were way off. He had dozens and dozens of impersonations, but I'd rather he pared his presentation down to just the ones he does well. At $100 a seat, I felt ripped off. My wife enjoyed it and thought it was great. I'm a tough critic, and she's a softy. But I paid, so I trump her! Pass on Danny Gans until he gets his act together! <oregoncamped -at- hotmail.com> - Reedsport OR USA - Added 12/13/04 - [65.168.219.***] 4812 Date Seen: 09/04 - Good Show We've seen Danny Gans before and were concerned the show had deteriorated (based on some negative reviews here). NONSENSE! It was and still is a TERRIFIC show, highly enjoyed by the 4 of us. There are a few impressions that are imperfect but many many more that are dead-one. And, Danny Gans has the personality and humor to be truly engaging. <klosekjoelin -at- aol.com> - Allentown PA USA - Added 09/13/04 - [152.163.100***] 4514 Date Seen: 08/04 - Bad Show My husband and I had heard a lot of good things about Danny Gans so we got tickets way ahead of time online. We were very disappointed because like a lot of other people, we felt the show was way too short. When you spend 100 dollars you would hope to see a show longer than an hour and 15 minutes. He is talented but so not worth the price of admission. We were even more disappointed the next day. We were waiting in line for the Mirage pool to open and they had a video tape playing showing clips from the Danny Gans show. In the time it took for them to show "highlights" I saw practically the whole show that I had seen the night before. Save your 100 dollars and watch the monitor the day near the pool instead. Minus a few things here and there, it was basically the same thing. If you want to see a quality show at that price, go next door to see Mystere at Treasure Island. With all the talented people in that show, you can see why it is worth that much per person. <timvanpan -at- aol.com> - Dyer IN USA - Added 08/24/05 - [64.12.116.***] 5618 Date Seen: 07/04 - Bad Show Based on all the hype, my wife and I made reservations three months in advance and were expecting an outstanding show. What a disappointment! Danny Gans is NOT the entertainer he is hyped up to be. With the possible exception of George Burns, his impersonations were extremely weak. I have seen better at several different lounge shows and at a fraction of his $100 price tag. He appeared to be very anxious to get off the stage and he absolutely does not relate well to his audience. Danny Gans is extremely overpriced, his jokes are old and he does not deliver as an entertainer. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and take in a really great show, such as Mystere. <fourouts -at- cs.com> - St. Louis MO USA - Added 09/15/04 - [68.184.250***] 4520 Date Seen: 06/04 - Bad Show We paid 100.00 a person and his show was only 1 hr 15 min. He is supposed to be the #1 entertainer in Las Vegas. Sure, he is the #1 rated entertainer for ripping people off. He did many impersonations but there was only one that he did well and that was George Burns and honestly that is the only one I remember. We did not even get something to drink or a decent program that most of the other shows give. I don't think I would have even paid 30.00 for the show. I would have been better off giving my money to a dealer and telling him to keep it. <d. hostetter -at- comcast.net> - Valporaiso IN USA - Added 06/26/04 - [24.12.30.***] 3642 Date Seen: 05/04 - Good Show Before the show, I was not happy about spending $100 per person to see a one man show, but since the trip was for my husband's birthday.... He had wanted to see Gans for about a year. From the moment the show started, however, I stopped thinking about the price. The show was excellent, upbeat, funny and, at times, amazing. His 12 Days of Christmas is hilarious and well done. I wished the show had been a little longer, and perhaps just a bit cheaper, but this is Vegas, what do you expect? I'll see Gans again..just maybe after I see a few other shows first. <danellemiller -at- hotmail.com> - USA - Added 11/04/04 - [65.124.153.***] 4664 Date Seen: 05/04 - Undecided I was disappointed! Some of the impressions were perfect - others, not even close. The show was not even an hour and a half long. The price of tickets should be half of what they charge. If you really want to see Danny Gans - watch the video outside the pool entrance. It is his entire show and it's free. <mcmovie -at- AOL.com> - Hamburg NY USA - Added 05/22/04 - [205.188.116.***] 3063 Date Seen: 05/04 The guy isGood show but not worth the asking price <davo -at- grimsbysnooker.fsnet.co.uk> - Grimsby England - Added 05/22/04 - [81.76.45***] 3066 Comment Disclaimer: No attempt has been made to verify or assure the accuracy of the above comments.
