MGM Grand\'s Crazy Horse Paris

Date Seen: 07/09 - Good Show
I went to the Crazy Horse show at the MGM last week. The special guest star was Carmen Electra. This post does contain SPOILERS. I had seen the show a few years ago and there were some changes in the numbers since then. It started with the awfully entitled “God Bless Our Bare Skins” wherein the cast does maneuvers in scanty soldier attire. (I never did care for this opening number.) There was an exotic girl who would do a few second silent intro before many of the segments. While she was quite stunning, I am not sure what presence added. A few numbers were performed to old jazz or ragtime style music. It felt like I was watching a topless dancer while someone had the music from the Little Rascals playing in the background. Also at least one segment had blaring disco type of music that was probably all he rage in the Parisian discotechs of the mid 1970s, but nowadays, seemed rather dated. I thought the memorable pieces were “Adagio”
and “I’m a Good Girl.”

The crowd responded best to the variety performers. Two brothers whose name I forget did a break dancing type of thing that really was skillful. (If I recall correctly from the 1980s, I think they were poppin’. Rest in peace Shabba Doo.) The Quibblers did a miniature Elvis and showgirl number. When I last saw the show, this was Michael Jackson and a chimp. Don’t know if they decided to change this due to the death of the King of Pop (and propofol), Michael Jackson, or if this had been changed earlier.

Finally I want to comment on the special guest star Carmen Electra. She was in 3 numbers and the finale. While she is a very beautiful woman with electric eyes and gorgeous hair, she was thicker than the rest of the cast. (She is also probably at least 10 years older than the rest of the cast too.) I did not think she had the skills of the other dancers. (and again she is older and probably does not have the time to train as they do.) The anticipation was that she would be topless. Much to the dismay of the audience, in the first numbers, she was wearing ugly, black pasties. In the finale, though, she came out topless. Talk about building suspense! By this point, I think many had seen enough and her impact did not have quite the punch. But then again, how often can you get to see a well known celebrity topless, live and in person?

I cannot believe that people would pay to see this show, just to see boobs, because thats all you'll get, nothing else. The girls are like Robots, with no expression or smile just a phony sexy look. If your looking for a REAL girl, it's not here. On top of all that they add, stripes and dots to the lighting scenes so you can't tell whats going on, what are they creating wallpaper? Imagine stripeing or adding dots to your favorite photograph. The girls, although attractive have that typical French, bored,in your face take it or leave it attitude. I almost fell asleep alongside with some other people in the audience. Yes I know this show has been around a long time, probably for the real Horny or mindless types. But this show is so 'Bent' that I sat there in Shock, especially at the abrupt and nowhere ending. I have seen shows in my day but this has got to be the 'Worse'. Save your money, there are plenty of great 'normal' shows out there with lots of gorgeous girls that are really enjoyable to see and perform.

This show was not really worth the money. There were a few good numbers, and the cast was definately beautiful, but overall it was slow.

The show was boring. The descriptions online did not accurately portray the show. We were surprised by the lack of variety. The small theatre did not need the sound to be so loud. The drinks were incredibly expensive - $5 for a small glass of Coke, $7 for a beer and $11 for a mixed drink. This was a waste of money and we couldn't wait for it to be over.

I liked this show, Fantasy at the Luxor is better and less expensive. But this show had some more style to it. The magic act and the michael jackson bit, need to go. But other than that the show was interesting.
Not a stand up on top of the table and hoot kind of show, a lot more artistic.

The drinks were like $7 for a 8 oz glass, I've never been a fan of shows
with a drink minimum.

I would recommend this show, but it's not a strip club and it's not a musical.
The girls don't sing, dance, or even speak.
But they do show you what you paid for, naked breasts..

I didn't know what to expect when I purchased my tickets. I had seen O and thought that La Femme would be an O knock-off but boy I was wrong. The show was more visual than acrobatic. The comedy interludes between the main performances were wonderful (better than O's). This was a fast paced attention grabbing affair. There was a brief topless scene (which was not necessary) and a girl/girl scene that was seemed out of place - While neither of these scenes bothered me, they just didn't mesh with the rest of this entertaining enveador. The two questionable scenes probably makes the show less child friendly to some but my general review is very positive

I am going to agree with some of the previous reviews. This show is not worth the money. If you still decide to to, get tickets at Tickets2Nite for half price. The stage is very small, but I think the seating is okay. The girls are beautiful, but if you want to see naked girls, go to a strip club. My wife and I got bored, and left early. The only erotic act was the girl they only showed from the waist down. She had on heels, one stocking, and a g-string. She spent the 2 minutes taking off the g-string, mostly just by wiggling her legs. Very sexy.

If you are into artsy fartsy stuff go and see this show, but if you wanna see beautiful girls dancing topless this is the worst show ever. Both me and my wife hated it. We literally were getting bored in the show. The lighting is such in some numbers that you cant see anything at all other than somethings moving.
My advice dont waste your money on this show.

The seating in this TINY theater is BAD! I'm 6'3" and could barely see the stage. We bought our tickets 3 monthes in advance and I believe we got the worst possible seats.
The show itself was lame... A mild step up from a strip club.

This show was so not worth the money we spent on it. First off, we got there and when we were walked to out table, I had no idea it would be in the front row. I was thinking it was the second row of tables from what I was told on the phone when I ordered them. Usually I don't complain about being on the front row, but it was awful in this place. It is so close to the stage that when we were watching the show, we had to slide down in our seats to look up. Walked out of there with a sore neck from being about 1 foot from the dancers. Secondly, the drinks were way to expensive at this show. It's not like you don't spend enough on the tickets, that you also have to spend too much on the drinks. My friend and I had 3 drinks between us and bought 2 for the other 2 people at our table as a friendly gesture and spent $70. That's crazy! Lastly, this was in no way dancing! I was very dissapointed with the "dancing" part of this show, the girls were very nice looking (of course some of the were nothing special to look at), but I at least thought there would be real dancing in this thing. Boy, was I wrong. The comedy acts inbetween were okay, but I didn't go to this show to see some guy do card tricks and a very dumb Michael Jackons and monkey act. All in all, I feel this was a waste of my money and time. If you want to see a real Vegas show, go to Jubilee. LeFemme was like walking into a strip joint.

This is one of the few topless revues that had me looking at my watch. Decent looking dancers, but the music and acts were boring. Older folks that went on a honeymoon in Paris 40 years ago might enjoy this, for me it was way too retro. Folies Bergere has a similar theme but totally blows this show away. Go there instead.

Excellent show. Exceeded the expectations of my wife and I. The lighting and presentation are top-
notch. A couple of scenes were playful and fun, a few are erotic. Girls were all beautiful -- and natural!
Mostly couples in the audience. Book early and ask for tickets close to the stage. Small theater, but
you still want to be as close as you can. Great show for couples. Highly recommended.

I should have read the comments on this site before going to this show. No doubt the girls are nice ... but $60 for 70 minute show that wastes 10-15 minutes in stuff like card tricks and monkey dances !?!?!?! .... this is not to say that those two sub-items are not good ... but when I go to a show in vegas ... I don't want to see card tricks !!!!

The girls are beutiful and the show is good if you are on a date ... but if you are going by yourself or just a group of guys ... you will find that you are paying way too much for this show.
