Very talented performers, but not something I would want to see again and if
"O" is like this then I will pass on it too.

Bought "obstructed view" seats because I'm cheap. Braced for some horrible seats, but instead found myself sitting in a relatively decent position, I could see everything fine except deep inside the stage; showroom is well designed. Nonetheless, after about 20 minutes into the show, we realized half our seating section was going to remain empty without anyone else coming in, so we just scooted over about 10 seats more towards the middle and could see the entire show just fine! Saved myself $15 a ticket for this. Anyways, it's my second time seeing the show, the first being nearly five years ago. Show remains artsy-fartsy in nature but they've toned down the stupid baby bit, yet I would like to see it done away with completly; just freakin irritating to see a severely overweight man that detracts from the true artists in the show. Why does anyone think it's funny? Overall, I was satified because I didn't pay full price yet saw the whole show!

Saw the 7:30pm performance of Mystere on 09/02/03. We had seen Saltimbanco under the big tent in Seattle and fell in love with Cirque du Soleil. So, we jumped at the chance to see Mystere on our recent trip to Vegas. Overall, the show was good. Performances were stellar and the 'clowns' were very entertaining. However, almost all of the acts were the same as in Saltimbanco. Yes, the music, sets, and costumes were different, but the stunts were all the same. This was a bit of a letdown, especially since the tickets are almost $100 per person after taxes and fees.
We still love Cirque du Soleil and plan to see their other shows, but would not choose to watch Mystere again. My suggestion: definitely go see Mystere if it's your first Cirque experience. Otherwise, try one of Cirque's other shows and get tickets for 'O' at the Bellagio or Zumanity at NY NY.

This was an incredible performance. Some of the performers must be made of rubber and defy gravity -- we didn't think some of those acts were humanly possible. We read the other reviews and were grateful for the tip on sitting further up in the theatre -- great advice. Not only do you get a better perspective of everything, but you avoid being the subject of all the clowning around down in those first few rows! This was really an amazing performance that weaved in humor, incredible dance, fabulous acts and an amazing set. It is awe-inspiring, and should be among the shows you see!

This is the 4th Cirque show we've seen and my favorite although O is a close 2nd. It kept you entertained and unlike other shows, I could see this one again (even with the $100 price tag) and enjoy it just as much.
Definitely worth the $.

My husband and I saw Mystere on May 22nd and thought it was a great show! We sat front row centre so not surprisingly were one of the couples to get picked on by the clown. It was all in good fun and my husband enjoyed being in the spotlight. The entire production was wonderful and the strength of the performers is amazing. I think if I were to see the show again I would have sat a few more rows back. There is a black railing that goes around the entire stage and somewhat obstructs the view from front row especially if you're on the short side. Also I couldn't fully appreciate the aerial acrobatics as you have to look straight up to see them perform (front row not too good if you have neck problems!) Overall it was an entertaining evening and I would highly recommend this show to others.

This was my 2nd time seeing this show. Mystere has these annoying photographers cruising the aisles snapping photos n blinding the 10-rows of people behind their victims before the show begins. Mystere was better this time than the last time I saw it- better acrobatics and feats of balance and strength with less foofoo dancing n crud. They still have the dumb baby-clown and the whole snail-on-wheels turning into the ridable acid-trip snail for the grand finale. The clowns were all a-holes so do not interact with them unless you want to be ridiculed, get popcorn dropped all over you, and water sprayed in your face- also DO NOT TOUCH the baby's huge beach ball, it will come back to bite you in the ass. My favorite portion of the show was when they had trampolinists bouncing between 3 fullsized trampolines- 2 of which were mounted at 45-degree angles to enable the performers to traverse through the air with non-stop action and motion. I wished I could've taken a spin on that setup...

this is just about the best value for the shows that cost over $80.

Great, great, great show, best I have seen in a long time. Everthing was done very well. Acts are so good, they make it look too easy so you really might not appreciate their true talent. Music was wonderful, most of it was live with some pre recorded sythesizers. Most people didn't even realize live music until you looked to either side and saw the musicians, the performers even acknowledged their performances. It is possible to miss some of the performances since so much is going on at any one time. The comedy clown could have been eliminated but he does add a little something. You might want to consider sitting back a bit since much goes on overhead but there are no poor seats. We did not have tickets when we arrived, stood in wait line for 1 1/2 hours and did get seated front row off center, this was a Wed. night 7:30 performance over Easter Week. I highly recommend for all, even kids !! Price is high but well worth the price... Treasure Island theatre is good and easy to find, good staff support.

Wow! I agree with many of the reviews that say it is Ringling Brothers on a weird acid trip. But what a trip it is! BTW, don't sit up close. It's not that you'll get picked on to participate, but that alot happens OVERHEAD in the show and unless you like a sore neck in the morning, sit at LEAST halfway back. We sat in JJ and it was perfect. There is SO MUCH to watch at one time that you could see it 3 times and still not catch it all. The show is great for kids as well. I would see it again, easily. As for the finale, I agree that a giant snail was an anticlimax, but oh well. The rest of the show made up for it.

BTW, the 2 strongmen were out of this world.

This is the circus on drugs. Spectacular and fricking weird, it was like nothing I've ever seen before. The first thing and most impressive is the theater (at Treasure Island) WOW!!! This by it's self blew me away. I'm just a poor boy from west Texas, I thought the theater was totally cool. The show was very good, but man It got strange. It is a non-animal circus show with a lot of twisted freaky type of characters that are simply undiscribable to anyone who is unfamilar with this sort of show. I would tell you to go see it(unless your are very conservative) as it is something you will never forget becaause its differant and amazing. This is the type of thing that is so Las Vegas.

I will admit when I ordered these tickets it was tough to stomach the price. After the show not only did I think it was worth every penny but I would have to see it again when I go back. This was an amazing show unlike any I have seen in the past. Not a bad seat in the house. It was great!

I thought the show was pretty overrated and overpriced. If you are going to see a Cirque show in town, "O" was much more impressive and interesting to watch.

Best show I have ever seen. I have seen "O" and Phantom a few other shows in London and few broadway shows too and this is the best. All I could do was say Wow about 20 times and nothing else.
So I give "Mystere" a 10
and "Wicked" (New York - Broadway) a 10 too but mystere just a slight edge
"O" a 9
"Zumanity" a 7
"Allegria" a 7
I will wait to give my review on hte new one Ka soon

I won't call it a bad show just because I didn't like it. The theater is beautiful; the actors are great but I ;just didn't like what the Cirque has to offer.............I wasn't familiar with the troupe and was disappointed. I think it is overrated and overpriced. My son and I were both dozing off 15 minutes into the show.

It was ok, but a little boring at times. The bungee jumping part was the best. I also liked the funny baby and the clowns.

Not as good as "O" and the same price per ticket. Good show otherwise. It pays to get there early. You'll see why. --BV
