My girlfriend and I saw this show on 11/13/03 and we loved it. Admittedly, I've never been a big fan of Celine (most guys aren't), but this show is simply spectacular, even if you are not a big fan. We had great seats but I suspect that no seats in this theater are without at least a decent view. The special effects were awesome. Some people complain on here about the choreography. We thought it was very good, even Celine herself. If you want some kind of intricate, high-level techno-dancing, go see Britney Spears. The main focus of this show is Celine's great voice.
Some also complain that Celine doesn't sing all her best songs. I disagree. Although I don't know all of her songs, it seemed to me that most all of the recognizable ones were performed. I liked the other ones as well because even though they weren't hers they were recognizable as well. Granted, this show is more like a broadway production than it is "Celine Dion in concert," per se. But that is what makes it unique and special.
Her band sounded awesome as well. The theater is beautiful. I would recommend this show to anyone and everyone!

I attended this show on 11/16/03 with friends of mine who saw it previously toward the end of July or beginning of August. It was my first time seeing it and I was awed at the magnificence of the theatre and the beauty and professionalism of the entire production. Anyone who has been to a Cirque de Soleil production can see Dragone written all over the show - but the main focal point of the entire evening was Celine and her marvelous voice. I was happy to see that Celine has grown her hair out a bit since the television special - she appears as an elegant woman and less masculine than she appeared on her special - it was a positive change.
Celine's voice was so strong and the songs (other than one or two flat notes) were sung in studio-like quality. I kept my eyes trained on her to determine if she was lip-syncing and am happy to report that if she was, I was unable to catch her during it. The dancers were phenomenal and the backup singers and other musicians were stupendous as well. The only reason I would give her a 9 instead of a 10 is the fact that she calls the show A New Day but doesn't sing that song - that didn't make much sense to me. The only other somewhat negative thing I can say is that on the lower notes she was starting to sound a little hoarse. But considering it was Sunday (her "Friday") and she had been singing all week I can forgive her that.
I was a little worried I had spent money unwisely after reading some of the entries on this site and was relieved that the experience exceeded any expectations I had one hundred fold. I HIGHLY recommend seeing this show - especially if you are a Celine fan.
Oh, and my friends said that there were changes to the song order/selection and the costuming since they saw her a few months ago. They were as thrilled by the experience as I was - the first time they saw her one of them was disappointed but said that this time more than made up for the first. Apparently they have been taking the fan critiques seriously and working out any kinks in the production.

Excellent entertainment. This was a great way to celebrate my wife's birthday. We both enjoyed the show. The theater was desgned and built to showcase this performer. From the sound system to the excellent seating arrangements, Caesar's Palace has outdone itself in providing a five star forum for entertainment.

After watching this show I felt so dissapointed, but glad I had only paid $140 dollars for each ticket rather than $200+.
Celine performs well as a singer, however surprisingly few of her own big hits were in the show which I imagine are what most of the audience want to hear.
What was poor about this show was the theatrical element. The dancers were dull, repetative and at times very amatuerish.
A good show for Celine Dion diehards, but for anyone else prepare to be disappointed.
My advice, give it a miss and see 'O' instead!

This is not a bad show but, I expected alot more from this show it does not live upto it's hipe. Too many boring songs, and at times the show gets boring, they needed more dancing then the running around by the dancers, and some of the dance numbers dont make any sense at all. The theatre is too warm at temperture. The show just doesnt live upto it's $150.00. Way over priced.

I wasn't about to go to Las Vegas and not see Celine Dion. I'm glad I did. I know that Celine's songs are not for everyone (except for the millions of record buyers) and I know that her speech delivery (French accented) is probably a little difficult for some. But the show is superb. Great venue (4100 seats), great sightlines, and top-quality sound. Her live songs re-create recording studio quality every performance. The only negative for me was the temperature of the room. I suspect this has to do with the need to maintain a proper humidity for the Superstar's voice.
The show's director, Franco Dragone, uses touches from his other productions "O" and "Mystere". These are probably a little obtuse for most audience members. But the musicians, dancers and production team all work together to generate a unique entertainment experience. This is a production filled with craftsmanship. The 120 ft. video wall with its creative graphic images is worthy of note as well.
Celine seemed to me to be a very honest performer who apprecicated the audience's positive response to the show and also generous with the her fellow performers, musicians and production team. She's constanly moving during the almost two-hour show, apparently blessed with a high energy level to match her great voice.
Sure, this show's not cheap, but if Danny Gans is worth $100 then this show is a bargain.

I don't care what the other people have said about her show. I loved it and I thought it was well worth the money I spent. She is such an incredibly talented singer even live and I'm glad that I got the chance to see her.
I didn't understand the slow walking people though. I could have done without them. But, overall. SPECTACULAR show! I will be seeing her again next year!

This is by F A R the #1 show in Vegas. Trying to get tickets is indicator. I just don't get anyone not rating this show a "10" .....I guess some people are still smokin' the funny stuff & didn't know better!!!

I was disappointed. The show started off with a bang and then kind of winded down toward the end. The dancing was great and there was lots of energy in the performance, but given the price we paid, it feel short of expectations.

Celine Dion does a O.k. show.. Save your hard earn money for other Vegas shows though.. Her stadium is so warm in temperature wise. If you are elderly be prepare to faint.. It is that warm.. Her voice is good but she does not interact well with the audience. Also Celine dion does not do any charity work for any organizations. That does make a difference when her tickets are so high. I will be surprise if she makes it 3 years there..One year is long enough for this show.. It is not worth going twice ..

There is one word for this show - OUTSTANDING! If it is even possible to sound better than your CD's Celine Dion has done it. She was absolutely amazing as was the shows dancers. There was not one thing that my fiance and I did not like about it. It was worth every penny!

I was very disappointed with this show. I'm a great fan of Celine's music, and her voice was specacular live...she's one of the few performers who sound as good live as they do in a studio. Amazing.
But other than her voice, I thought the choreography was pretty pretentious and pointless. People walking slowly across the stage to no particular destination, with no connection to the lyrics of the moment, and not much skilled or interesting dancing. I guess the floating of Celine and the other performers has technical merit, but it wasn't very interesting as a performance.
I would agree with the earlier reviewer...buy the CD and go to another show (or two or three for the price).

This was by far one of the best concerts I have ever been to and I'm not even a big Celine fan, until now. I was very surprised that I enjoyed it so much, especially after reading some of the negative reviews here. The negative comments were so picky, these people probably complain about homemade apple pie having too many apples in it!!! The production was out of this world. Her voice was fantastic. She also seems very genuine. Go see her, you won't be sorry!

I have never been a die hard fan of Celine but I enjoy her music. I saw her in concert in June and was blown away!!!! Her voice is so beautiful; what a gift. The show is visually amazing. I thought she performed a good range of songs. There were some old, some new, and some borrowed. The tickets are a bit too expensive for my taste but I would consider seeing her again and paying the price. The show is that good!

Bought tickets to see Celine back in April and saw the show on June 11th. It was well worth the wait. The whole production was great and her voice as beautiful as ever. She made some changes to the song list she had when the show opened a few months ago but I'm sure no one noticed nor cared. This is a show worth watching when in Vegas. You may not hear all your favorite Celine songs but you must remember that this is a show , not a concert. I recommend every Celine fan to make an effort to see this show. By the way , the new theatre for the show is beautiful. Every seat in the house is a good seat.

We travel to Vegas once or twice a year and we have seen almost all the long term shows in town and this show without a doubt is the best show we have ever attended. The theatre is magnificent with a stage that is tilted towards the audience giving you a perfect view of all that is happening. The sound is pitch perfect and it seems that Celine is singing directly to you personally. Her performance was magnificent and even though I have only been a fan of her beautiful voice her interaction with the audience was truly heartfelt and enjoyable. The production behind her and her incredible voice made the entire experience a very emotional one which we hope to experience every time we go to Vegas.

After reading some of the coments about Celines show we went and saw it with very low expectations. Wow!! we were surprised!! We thought it was fantastic!! You have to keep in mind that it is a Las Vegas "Show" and not a concert where she plays all her older favorites. The show is fast paced and exciting, very few luls. I just dont understand why it is called "A New Day", it was never sung. Would have made a fantastic close!!! All in All, Very pleased!!!

After planning our trip to Vegas around getting tickets to Celine's show, I can honestly say I was a little disappointed with the show. Her voice was beautiful as always and that stage with it's huge screen was simply incredible. During the one song you actually felt you were on the stormy balcony with her. It would have been nicer to hear more of Celine's older songs that are more identifiable. Instead, many of the songs are slow and boring. I actually found myself losing interest mid-show. Although her show is called "A New Day", I don't even recall her singing that song. Her costumes left much to be desired and I absolutely hate her new hairdo! All that said, it was an ok show. She is a lovely person and it was a nice evening out. However, we enjoyed seeing David Copperfield and Mystere more.

I was fortunate enough to see this spectacular 2 weeks after it began in
March 2003. I was so impressed and excited to see what the hype was all
about. The show was well worth the price of fickets.
Hands down one of the most inspiring and enjoyable shows that I have
ever seen. I feel that this show is 10x's better than her travling concert tour
that I have seen in the past.
I had seats in the section (2nd Mezzanine) first row. The only issue I had
was a woman drinking and sloshing her booze around close to the flood
lights directly below us. She almost dropped her drink into the lights and
was told to stop putting her feet on the barrier. The couples around us
where friendly and talkative before the show started.
The camera operators would show differnt people in the audience and
present them on the 120 ft BIG SCREEN. Offering lots of laughs before
the show started. They even kept on focusing on a little girl towards the
front row who ended up being invitied on stage during the end of the
show.
Celine entered the stage seemlessly through the big screen and
suddenly appeared on stage to the thunderous applause of the audience.
Her songs were fluid and flawness. Her dancers were energetic and
beautiful. The show was quickly paced and so visually enticing.
I will be going back to Vegas in May 2004. I have already purchased my
8th row floor seats for this show, I am extatic and I cannot wait to see
Celine and her show again and again!

FANTASTIC!!! This is my second time seeing Celine Live, the first time in Edinburgh a few years ago.. WOW what can you say about someone who sounds note perfect through the whole show. Only gripe was that she doesnt actually sing "A New Day". She is forgiven because of everything else she does sing. People are saying its expensive, but in my eyes, worth every penny (or is that cent?) Have booked my tickets for my next visit in April.. Hope she carries on.

Show was good but not worth the 400+ clams that ticketmaster ripps you off for 2 tickets. showroom was too hot, wear bathing suit or faint. she should not have cut her hair. i don't want to hear stories, or listen to kids being talked to by celine. we expected to hear a few of her old standards. for the price that we paid, i wanted to be entertained.. it didn't happen!

I have seen most every show on the strip over the last 30+ years, and I fear this one will not last for the entire (outrageous) 3-yr contract. Sure, it's sold out now...because of the "wow" effect, but it **WILL** die off. Performers with staying power (Sinatra, Elvis, Wayne Newton, S&R, Danny Gans) have an on-stage electricity that Celine totally lacks. She has the voice, but no moves, no looks, no personality, no connection. Buy Celine's CD, and go see Danny Gans.

Superb! Her voice is amazing! So powerful, it actually brought tears to my eyes at 3 different times during the show. Her voice fills that whole theatre. She is adorable and engaging with the audience, it feels spontaneous and genuine. As we were leaving the show my mom and I both said "I would pay the $150. a ticket to see her again, right now!" This was my birthday present from my mom, we anticipated this show for 10 months...and it was better than we had hoped or dreamed!
The colluseum employees are wonderful also, everything is run like clockwork, professional but courteous and helpful. The fruit daiquiris are to die for! The Celine store is wonderful! What a coup. Congratulations to Celine for an amazing show and an amazing store.

THE BEST - YOU CANNOT GET ANY BETTER. This show is not a concert it is a phenominal production. Better than any concert or broadway show I have ever seen. After I saw Celine's TV show of the opening I was a little dissappointed but once that curtain opened and she started singing and the theatrics that accompany her it was beyond anyones wildest imagination. As the elderly italian gentleman sitting behind us kept saying all the way through the show "this is unfriggin believable" and that is the truth. I will see this show over and over that is how good it is. Thank You Celine you are amazing.

After reading the other comments, I had to write and say something about
this show. I thought it was the best performance I had ever seen by any
entertainer. I felt as though I were participating in a dream, thanks to the
artistic thought that went into this production. Celine's voice is the
greatest, and I believe she exudes warmth, charm and a close
relationship with her audience. The people sitting around us and the rest
of the audience were extremely receptive and enthusiastic the night we
were there. I wish they would take the time to write you. I will see this
show again. I am amazed that some people don't recognize greatness
when it is staring them in the face. As a former concert pianist who played
all over the world, and an individual who used to be very active in the
music industry, I have seen many entertainers and shows, but never a
show which could top this one.

She is probably a great singer, she is a lousy performer, She has no stage personality at all, her production is terrible and most of her songs she did were not very good. This show is too high priced for the quality of the performance. The much hiped production is poor and does not fit the songs. My advice is to by her CD's and go to other shows on the strip that are cheaper and much better

Celine's "A New Day" was a disappointment. Too little Dion of our favorite Dion music.
Her new songs, (i.e. I drove all night) were lame, compared to her old, but beautiful songs (i.e. themes from Titanic or Beauty and the Beast). The "walking dead", "the hot seat" and the "slimy slugs" are all retarded.
We wanted to see Celine perform her good (old) songs - but instead she sings a bunch of stupid new songs, and a foreign song (i think it was greek).
Guess what?? If she keeps this up, she's only going to last a few months -- UNLESS SOMEONE TELLS HER THAT PEOPLE WANT TO SEE HER BECAUSE OF HER POPULAR MUSIC, and definetly NOT the "walking dead", the "slimy slugs" characters or the "floating" angels.
She's already a great singer... and she doesn't need Uncle Dragone to help her.

Exciting start - Bomb finish!!!
Celine has no grace as a dancer. Too gangly!!! What's with lying down on stage with legs sprawled apart in masculine clothes? Costumes were very poor compared to the sets. Her facial expressions when belting out a song are too grotesque! You would think with all her money she would put more effort towards improving herself. We did like her hair though. I doubt she'll make it in Vegas, and she'll be off to Hollywood thinking she can make it as an actress next.
Tickets way too high for her performance.
