After seeing Mystere last year, I was excited to see "O". This show definitely doesn't compare. Overall it seemed repetitive and although the artists in the show are great athletes I could only watch so many dives into the water before I felt like falling asleep.

Awesome, spectacular show!! Loved it and wish I could see it again. We got the expensive $125 seats but looking around, it seemed like there weren't really any bad seats. Very exciting show and I loved the two female acrobats in the beginning. Everyone was spectacular and I do agree with one of the earlier posters that I could have done without the two clowns. However, guess the other performers have to catch their breath. The costumes were so beautiful too. Absolutely stunning. Go see this show. You won't be disappointed. I hope this show never goes away so I can see it again in the future. Beautiful music too. Before or after the show, you can buy the cd for $24 or the program for $10.

I walked out of this show feeling completely mesmerized. FANTASTIC! I could go on and on about how amazing every bit of it was, however they do not provide enough space here! This show was worth the price twofold - and I immediately bought the CD - which takes me back every time I listen to it - a MUST SEE!!!!!!!!!

Different "strokes" for differnt folks! For CdS fans, this is one of the most impressive. For non-CdS fans, you have to go with an open mind and no expectations, i.e., there's no "plot". You just have to enjoy each performance for what they represent, incredible feats of agility, flexibility, strength and daring ... who'd dive way up in the air and then plummet into a small pool of water with grace, style and a little "dolphinish" move to boot!? It is a bit pricey but a treat nonetheless.

In a word, Mesmerizing.
The theater is incredible, the performers are almost super-human (Where do they find these people?), and this show is one of the most visually stunning things i've ever seen.
I could have done without the scenes involving the clowns on the floating house, but I guess you need that kind of thing to catch your breath every once in a while.
I actually want to see this again because I was planning to propose to my girlfriend by the Bellagio fountains right after this show, so I was a little nervous during most of the show and want to catch what I missed. (she said yes!)

The performers are, as expected from Cirque, amazing. But the set is the star of the show. My wife has a professional theatre background. She thought it was the most technically advanced show she had ever seen. We were center, but up high in the balcony. We could see more of how the set "works." Some people might not have wanted to see that, preferring mystery, but I was fascinated by watching the mechanics of the stage.
The action, at times, is not as fast-paced as some of Cirque's other shows. It really can't be, given the challenges of the aquatic set. It is, nonetheless, a beautiful and astounding night of entertainment. In re a comment below, mon amis, that's not French they're singing, it's a unique language called "Cirqueish." Ay yi yi.

This is a great show. I would have spent the same money again to see it teh next night. I think I see some complaints from people who had bad seats, we tried to get seats too but were unsuccessful so we decided to stay a bellagio and use the concierge to get us tickets which worked out really well. We ended up getting great seats making the extra money we spent to stay at bellagio worth it, so this is my recommendation to people who want good seats at O. the show is fantastic but in my opinion not as good as mystere

It was a good show but over rated, and over hiped show, and for $125 the show doesn't meet the expectations and it gets boring at times and after so many years this show needs a change, it needs to get some enegry, there is no plot the music is great but all french and too much acrobatics. Dont spend your money on it, if $125 is not pennies to you dont spend it on this show. I would rether see mamma mia! again, rether then "O".

Not worth the money. The most overhyped show in vegas. If you have money to burnm, then see it. Otherwise, stay clear. I almost fell asleep 6 times. Please dont waste your money. Feel free to email me for more details. Simply horrible show. Would rather piss on my money and flush it down the toilet, much more entertaining. For $10, this show would rate a 3. For $125, it rates a 1. Dont be suckered into buyin tickets to the most over-rated show in town.

My wife and I have been to Vegas close on a dozen times now but we had never attended any sort of big budget show before. So, with nothing really to compare it to, I must say we were both incredibly impressed with the show and enjoyed it tremendously. We had good seats, second row-second section, with perfect sitelines. I know they sell "obstructed" seats but looking at the theater it's hard to imagine where those seats are. Every seat in the house looked excellent. The theater is beautiful and the stage design is incredible. A backstage tour would be almost as exciting as the show itself. The show is suited for all ages although as the father of a 7-year old son, I don't think I'd spend $150 for him at this age. Maybe 10+ just to make sure he remembers it and can appreciate it all the more. There were plenty of 5-10s in the audience however, more than I would have expected for the price.
There's not much story or plot (if you work at it hard enough you can probably dig through symbolism until you're blue in the face though) - to me O was simply a visual treat - filled with unforgettable images and incredible physical feats. I'd recommend it to anyone with an open mind looking to see something special.

Great show! Stage, lighting, costumes and performers were great! Orchestra and singer perform live during show. A little pricey. We got Orchestra seats - first section in the middle. If you are there for a good time and can afford to spend that extra little bit of cash, I think it would be worth it.

O is a winner. I paid $93 per ticket, obstructed seats in the balcony. The obstructed view refers to the black railing at the end of the entrance to your section. With O's budget, I would think they would have some kind of clear fiberglass wall, but instead its a guard that consists of black metal rails. It is a distraction, but when the show starts, you do not notice it as much. The last third of the show is the best. I thought 50% of the beginning was pretty boring. Overall, the show itself is boring. Some acts felt like it could have been better (I was expecting some kind of climax to certain acts). BUT the way the stage changes, costumes, live music (didn't know that until the end of the show), and the ambiance is well worth the money that you paid for. It is by far the best overall show I have seen.

This was the best show I have ever seen in my life! "O" blew my experience of The Lion King on Broadway out of the water! This is definetely a "must see" show, even if you have to sell the shirt off your back to buy tickets. At first, I was concerned about having balcony seats, but it ended up providing a perfect view of everything going on on-stage. The music, special effects, performers, etc. were outstanding.

As always, Cirque puts on another great show. The balcony seats we had were cheaper than the seats on the floor and you could see everything that was going on at the water level and under! Save your $ on the floor seats and get the better upper balcony seats. You won't be disappointed.

At the box office there is a sign that says the tickets are increasing from $120 to $150 starting in 6/2003 At $120 its too expensive. Two tickets cost $242.00

I have been looking forward to my Las Vegas vacation for a long time. I check all of the show reviews before attending any of the shows.
I realize that everyone can not like every live show. Everyone is completely entitled to their opinion. However, it would be a shame for anyone to read the negative reviews in this column and change their mind about the show based on that. At the end of this show, everyone I witnessed felt the show was simply breathtaking. Please allow me to address some points of criticism brought up in past reviews:
OBSTRUCTED SEATS - Some of the seats at the edges of the theatre were obstructed. Our seats were full price ($110 USD with service charges) and there were some parts in the back of the stage which could not be viewed. I felt this was a little annoying, however, all of the action was taking place front and centre. I did not feel like I was missing anything except perhaps 20 seconds at the beginning before the curtain opened. This is not enough to change your mind about attending.
COST - The tickets are not cheap. Compared to Celine Dion tickets, "O" tickets are a bargain. If any show is worth $110, this IS it! The theatre, the staging, the costumes ... the money is on the stage. I would like it if the tickets were cheaper, but for many people, this is a special night. It's like going out for an expensive (but enjoyable) evening.
THE STORY - I guess some people feel a performance has to have a story. Mind you, the story behind broadway hit CATS is pretty thin, and it has faired pretty well by most measures. A circus does not have a story. This is pure imagination running wild. Enjoy it.
This is the 4th Cirque show I have viewed, and this is one of the best. Mystere might edge "O" in a few catagories, but "O" is definitely the most elaborately staged show I have witnessed.
After all this, I'm sure there are still people who will go to the show and find things they do not like about it. Please rest assured that 95% of the audience is thoroughly enjoying the spectacle of "O".
Thanks, Scott Brown

Outstanding! Sensory overload! Shocking, thrilling and funny all at the same time. Center stage balcony seats are unable to see some of the beginning and ending of the show as these parts take place in the lower audience, that was disturbing to some people. Just clown antics, nothing major, but some patrons were upset by it. But these same seats have the best view of the arial acrobatics that start the first act of the show. I loved every minute of it!

What a disappointment! We had really looked forward to this show, based on the reviews and the difficulty getting tickets. To make matters worse, we convinced three other couples in our group to spend the $200 for this show, assuring them that it would be GREAT. We enjoyed some of the performances, but it was painfully repetitive. We kept reassuring each other that it would get better, but it never did. We have seen several shows in Vegas that are better than "O". I kept looking at my watch hoping that the show would be over soon, and actually dozed off several times!! Worth seeing only if you have already seen the better shows available in Vegas, and you have lots of extra cash that you are just dying to spend.

This show was amazing. I was told by a friend that it was a "water ballet" show. Well, it's so much more than that. Yes, there is water ballet, but there are also the most incredible acrobatic performances that you will ever see, unless you've seen other Cirque shows. The "stage" keeps changing so you're never really sure what's going to happen next. It's a beautifully staged performance of amazing talent. Well worth the (overpriced) ticket.

This is one incredible show that you have to see! I struggled between which Cirque show to watch for this trip - "O" or "Mystere" - and I'm glad I chose "O" first. The stage alone is incredibly done and amazing to watch as it shifts levels as it gets ready for the next act. No wonder they spent something like 67 million to build it. I guess that's what also expains the steep tickets prices. We paid $93 for our seats and sat in Section 202, two rows up which were suppose to be limited view seats but really weren't. The person on the phone and the person at Bellagio warned us about a bar that sticks up from the guardrail. But frankly, I din't even notice it since the bar was off to our left a little bit and the show took place a little to our the right side. Actually, the only thing that blocked my view was the person's huge head sitting in front of me. They should have warned me about that instead! The soundtrack to the show is amazing as well. Also, I had no idea that the music was being performed live for each performance. The musicians are elevated and located on either side of the stage enclosed behind a tinted glass. You won't notice them unless you really look for them because they are in the dark. My girlfriend had to point it out to me after she saw the drums on the left side and the singer(s) and the flute player on the right. This show considered every fine detail, from the costumes to the effects to the stage and is very elegantly performed. I must warn you, however, if you are not particularly into the arts, particularly performing arts, and are just expecting a circus act, this show may not be for you. In that case, go see a Barnum and Bailey act. I would go see this again. You may email for more info about this show if you wish at malbari@rcnchicago.com.

I read about how great this show was and couldn't wait to see it. I paid top dollar for the seats and couldn't wait until show time. During the show, we fell asleep! This is a water ballet and the music is so slow and boring. I have seen several Cirque shows and this is the most boring. The whole production is impressive but the show itself can't keep your interest. Once you see one dive in the water, you've seen it all. If you need to choose between "O" and Mystere, see Mystere. That show is awesome and worth every penny. O is overpriced and boring.
