An outstanding show! Suspect negative comments from "younger" crowd or those with limited music knowledge. Very intimate performance, great backup band, many who sing also.
Do not pay full price, discounts avialable many places.
If you have seen Gladys Knight and liked it, you will like Clint!

Actually it isn't a bad show just BORING. It's a show that dosn't go anywhere. I guess I'm a little bitter cause I paid to see it and after the show I ran into dozens of people in the restroom who had 2 for 1's or didn't pay at all. Next time I'll know better. With all the hype (Billboards, Magazines, TV, Radio etc) I thought that this was going to see the second coming of Christ. Instead a guy comes on stage and sings material that nobody has heard of. And do you know why? Cause he (Clint Holmes) wrote it. Just what I want to hear.
Most of the audience is itching to get back in the casino about a half hour into it. I must say though a great job marketing that show.

Considering how well Clint can sing it's amazing how fast I got tired of him. He sings stuff that NOBODY ever heard of...and he has a VERY irritating habit of trying to be "jazzy". In other words, he seldom will USE his great voice to hold notes...preffering to scat around the notes. He may think he's "cool" by doing this, but the overall affect is sleep-inducing. A complete waste of a great singing voice in my opinion....and since he's still toiling to 1/2 full houses at a minor property there must be others who agree. Clint....try singing some material that people want to hear...not what YOU want them to hear. The customer is always right, you know.

I CAN'T IMAGINE ANY NEGATIVE COMMENT ABOUT THIS OUTSTANDING SHOW. IN ADDITION TO BEING AN AMAZING SINGER, HOLMES PERSONIFIES ENERGETIC. HIS RAPPORT WITH THE AUDIENCE IS IMMEDIATE AND WE WERE QUICKLY DRAWN INTO HIS WARMTH. HE ALSO HAS A BAND THAT IS EXTREMELY VERSATILE--GOOD MUSICIANS AS WELL AS SINGERS. THERE IS MUCH TO ENJOY -- HIGH ENERGY, GREAT MUSIC, LOTS OF LAUGHS AS WELL AS SOME POIGNANT MOMENTS. THE SHOW IS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN AND WORTH EVERY CENT. NOTE: I AM WELL UNDER AGE 65!!

I don't think I have feel asleep that fast in my life, don't get me wrong he has a great voice but it's so BORING. Clint Holmes appeals to a much older crowd like 65 and up. Clint at the end of his show recommended that we go see The Scintas at the RIO so we did, absoulty amazing show. Go see The Scintas.

Clint Holmes is an outstanding entertainer with fantastic back-up performers. This is a great show for people with a wide appreciation of music, but it is a special treat for people who appreciate jazz. The show includes jazz, doo-wop, rock and roll, and other styles too. This man has a powerful voice and a sense of humor too! I have seen many other Las Vegas shows and this show is among the best. This is the only show that I have seen twice. You'll have a lot of laughs, experience positive energy and warmth, and walk away feeling like you made a new friend.

I found this show unbelievably boring! I was prepared to enjoy it as ads said he sings all types of songs. What I found was that during the entire show, there were maybe 3 or 4 songs that I had EVER heard before. He says that he writes his own songs. That is fine. But, there is a lot to be said for singing and performing songs that the audience has heard before. When he did sing a few songs that I was familiar with, he only did brief pieces of them. He didn't even sing the entire song. The problem also was that I did not enjoy the songs that he had written himself. He seemed to want to add jazzy riffs with his voice to everything.

He tried very hard to connect with the audience. I felt he was trying a little too hard. He has a good voice, but his choice of material is very poor. At one time he asked the audience to sing along with him. That would be rather difficult as it was the first time most of us had heard the song.

The showroom was about 1/2 full the night we were there. I found myself looking at my watch waiting for the show to be over. It was one of the biggest disappointments in Las Vegas shows I have seen. He needs to get more in touch with the material that an audience would want to hear. The majority of customers had free or two for one tickets. I am surprised that his show has lasted as long as it has.

This is a great show and well worth the money to see him. Here's a tip: Sign up for the players club at Harrah's whether you plan to gamble there or not. You'll receive free stuff just for signing. We got two scratch off tickets for signing up and they were both for the Clint Holmes show. Pretty good considering we had 3rd row seats! The show is great and he is very talented. There are some great songs and the band is wonderful but his stories are what tugs at your heart. We saw every show in Vegas and this ranked way up there with Danny Gans, Mystere, and Sig and Roy. You'll leave with a warm and fuzzy feeling after seeing this show.
