This was a fairly good show. It cost $60 a person, plus they encourage you to purchase drinks and snacks on top of the price. They guy that opened for him first started out kind of blah, but by the time George Carlin was done, some of the opening guys stuff was funnier than George's. If you've seen George's HBO specials you've heard about 1/2 of what you'll hear at his show. If you get offended easily by things, stay away. The part that bothered me a bit was when he was talking of traffic accidents and if he's going to take the time to stop and gock, he wants to see really mangled body parts. I kept thinking if you or someone you loved had been in a traffic accident, this was far from funny. If you don't mind paying $60 for about 1 hour - 1 hour and a half for George's typical comedy, then by all means go. It wasn't bad, I laughed, but I'm not sure it was worth the $120 for my husband and me.

Saw this jerk the Saturday night before 9/11/01 at the MGM. His entire act was BAD. He said his next HBO special was to be entitled "I Love It When Lots of People Die" or something similar. Wonder why he changed the title later? If he would have kept the title, people would know him for the ass he is. While I enjoyed his humor 20 years ago, it is now all gone. He is a sorry excuse for a "headliner".

HE WAS SO BAD THAT I WANTED MY MONEY BACK. I GREW UP WITH HIM SO IT WAS NOT HIS OFF COLOR JOKES. IT WAS HIS NEGATIVE ATTITUDE. AND SICK STORYS ABOUT DISSASTERS AND THE FACT THAT HE PRACTICED HIS HBO SHOW ON US AND THEN CHARGED US WAS NOT THE GREATEST FACT.

I saw George Carlin a few months ago. Have had a hard time deciding whether he is a "has been" or "never was". Thought he would be so much better. Can't understand why Las Vegas keeps headlining him. Probably because there are enough people who want to see "a headliner" show. There are so many good shows to see, why would anyone spend good money for this?? He is the worst, well, besides carrot-head. Go see Mystere or Danny Gans. Anyone, but George.

Either you appreciate him or you don't. I still find him to be a clever observer of everyday life. Yes, he does go overboard with the nasty language. Doesn't everybody expect this from George? Filter out the f-words and listen to the message. Maybe it's just a bit too cerebral for some! Bring your sense of humor (required) and dare to laugh at life.

Want to pay too much for a show that just isn't funny? This is for you. He does have a couple of interesting observations on life, but mostly, he has a weak show and still thinks he can depend on using the "seven" forbidden words to make his show funny. Hard to believe people pay money to see him and that hotels actually pay to have his name on the marquee- go figure.
