It was interesting, but I wouldn't consider it entertaining. A little too much talking at times but some of the show was amazing. Nice comfortable theatre. I am glad I went but wouldn't go back another time and I'd be hesitant to recommend to others.

Excellent Show! Penn and Teller come through with their unusual and stylish brand of magic and humor.

Many people left negative reviews because they didn't have a clue what Penn and Teller where all about before attending the show. If you expect an "ordinary" magic show, I can see how you might be shocked. Most people go to Vegas and expect a "one show fits all" environment; this just isn't the case.

It's sort of like a person who loves classical music attending a rap concert because they use instruments too. Sure, there may be a common link, but it's not fair to bash something you don't enjoy because you didn't do the research.

Another major complaint was the use of "bad language" during the show. What! You went to Las Vegas! This is a town that advertises "what happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas!" A town with the nickname "Sin City!" Vegas was founded on gambling, drinking and sex. I find it ironic that so many people are attempting to turn Las Vegas into another Disneyworld.

As with anything, it pays to be informed. For those who have never seen Penn and Teller, it is difficult to sum up the style of their show...but here it goes...

Penn if the "mouth" of the show. He is a whitty, shrewd, analytical, fast talking individual. He hates con-artists and enjoys debunking scams. Depending on the venue...his language may be fairly clean to downright dirty (see the DVD's from the Penn and Teller TV show on Showtime called "Penn and Tellers: Bullshit")

Teller is basically a silent partner. His contribution to the show is mainly through facial expression. He reacts to Penn's antics and, at times, creates a few of his own. NOTE: Teller can talk, he just doesn't on stage.

Penn and Teller's magic is often "shock" magic. They love classic illusions...but they LOVE the drama of danger. Sometimes, they just enjoy shocking the audience with a little blood or some disturbing bugs.

My advice, do some research before spending $70.00 on a show you aren't sure about. If you are looking for good, clean, all American family fun...DON'T GO TO VEGAS WITH YOUR KIDS!

show was annoying and dull. I this they swear too much. All I kept thinking during the show was when is this guy going to stop talking and do something interesting. The show was definately geared towards men. Even my husband agreed that the act was slow moving and there was not enough magic or comedy! Way to pricy for what you got.

Boring act. Except for the last bit, no magic. Penn is too fond of his own voice, and of swearing. The bad language isn't even funny.

I always liked them on TV, but in person, unlike most Vegas acts, they do tired, old uninteresting stuff.

If you want to see a good magic act, go see Lance Burton or Mac King, and for comedy, go see Rita Rudner.

These guys are always a good show. Incredible ending. The crowd loved it and I think it is great that they make themselves available for autographs and photos after the show.

This is absolutely the worst show on the strip. Talk about two loosers with absolutely no personality trying to make you laugh and do magic at the same time. Don't get ripped off by going to this show. Save your money or go see Lance Burton.

Horrible show, it's rude, untasteful, and really over priced. If you want to see a good show at the Rio go see The Scintas thats where the talent is. The Scintas are an amazing show, GO SEE IT!!!!!

this is a great show. The crowd was a rock and roll type crowd, not very dressy. No cocktail service in the theater, and a constant long line at the bar in the lobby, both downers for me.
There were absolutely no atheistic sermons at this show either. Their magical artistry, and sharp humor, delighted and amazed me and my girlfriend. They are best magicians you will ever see and extremely irreverent.
The first part of the show "de-mystifies" magic, later on they perform "bits" that will totally amaze.
Perhaps the best show of any kind I've seen in vegas.

Don't waste your $$ because these idiots SUCK! They were so hideously boring that we nearly fell asleep during the show..the only magic these untalented morons need to practice is disappearing! LaCage at $45.00 is much more fun and entertaining and you get REAL Vegas style booth seating...not your everyday concert venue. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

We saw this show on our most recent trip to Las Vegas. This is not your typical magic show and you need to realize this going in. I enjoyed seeing how the tricks were done. Penn's running commentary is interesting. I loved the jabs taken at other Vegas shows (even the one's I have seen and liked). The profanity does not bother me but be aware that it is there. While not "bible bangers" by any means, we could have done without Penn's editorial comments on religion. Many of the tricks I had seen on television and the duo could probably stand to revamp the act a bit.

I was lucky enough to be pulled from the audience for their bullet catching stunt. Despite signing the shell casing and the projectile, seeing the .357 loaded and Teller spitting the caught bullet in my hand, you got me how they do it. this trick they don't tell you.

Penn and Teller make themselves available for autographs and a handshake after the show.

We enjoyed the show but they do need to update as evidenced by the half empty theater.

This is an act I've wanted to see for a long time and I was NOT disappointed. Penn & Teller are not just great performers and illusionists, they are a true class act. I had to drag my wife to this show (she has no interest in "magic acts") and she ended up enjoying it as much as I did. It's hilarious how they put down other Vegas acts, seeing that they are considered lepers by most of the magic establishment. Come as early as an hour before the show and enjoy some great jazz piano courtesy of Michael Jones and a "mystery bass player" who kind of resembles Penn Jillet. A highlight of our stay!

P&T provided a very entertaining show. Be sure to get there early and check out their props that they use during the show. Penn also was onstage playing the Bass with the jazz pianist, although he was doing it incognito and switched back n forth with the normal bassist during the songs before the show. They will show you how a few of the tricks are done which is very cool. I enjoyed the show a lot.

First off, If you don't know who Penn and Teller are, don't be surprised that they swear, insult other Vegas acts, or do things that get people's hackle up. P&T also don't care about showing the "wonderment" of magic to children, or try to entertain seniors with bird tricks. That's up to other magicians to pander to. What they do is pretty much what you see them do on TV, but without the censor. With that warning out of the way, the actual show was pretty good. The show passed by pretty quick. Some good tricks, a few "clunkers" and some stuff I've seen before. This is sort of a "best of" collection of acts that P&T have perfected over the years. I really liked Teller's shadow puppets!
