When we first checked in, I asked if we could get an upgrade. The front desk clerk said it would cost $50 extra. I declined. She then gave us a room in the South Tower. However, the room looked like it had not been finished being cleaned. The air furnace filter was propped against one wall and the bathroom had cleaning powder all over the shower. The corners of the bathroom floor had mildew on it. We decided to try and switch rooms. The front desk clerk assigned us to a different room then that was also in the South Tower. This second room had the same arrangement as the first one but it looked cleaner. There was conditioning shampoo, lotion, a couple plastic cups, and Kleenex tissues in the bathroom. There's no clock in the room so bring your own or use your cell phone. Or ask the front desk for a wake up call. At night, we wanted to put a "Do not disturb" sign on the door so we wouldn't get woken up early by housecleaning. However, our room did not have a sign. I called front desk and asked if they had any so I could come down and get one. They told me housekeeping would place one on our door. An hour and a half later, housekeeping still had not placed one yet so I called front desk again. They said they would call housekeeping again. And finally, someone did come and place one on our door. We played a little bit in the casino but not much. Their casino is a lot smaller than the ones on the strip. Oh, parking is free for hotel guests here. They give you a VIP parking pass once you check in. Everytime you leave the garage, you have to show them the pass and give them your room number and your initials. I would stay at this hotel again but only if the rate were really, really, really cheap.

I just LOVE this place and I can be a picky pain in the butt. I originally asked for a non-smoking room in the South Tower. However, I also wanted a room with a view. They had a smoking room with a view on the 19th floor and we decided to take a chance. SO glad we did. You absolutely could NOT tell this was a smoking room and I can smell a flea pass gas. We had a nice view of the Strat and Strip, not up close but very nice just the same and we got some excellent pictures. It was a nice quiet room. Only things missing were no clock and no blow dryer, but if you are a self-sufficient adult you can pack these things yourself. I actually liked the fact that there was no clock in the room! And the rooms service (while not cheap) was just excellent. I called with a pretty large breakfast order and they were there in under 10 minutes and the food was excellent! Also, we tipped the maid $5.00 per day and the room was always spotless and she always left us extra TP and towels. They do provide soap, conditioner, hand creme and shampoo. I was very pleased with everything about this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again. You just cannot beat the value for the price you pay. We ate at Magnolia's Veranda at least four times and every time the food and service were very good. The casino was nice and easy to navigate. If you stay in the South Tower your elevator comes down right where the car valet service is. Also, the valet service was very quick as well. Sign up for their Reel Winners Slot Club and you get VIP parking decal for the car. I hope they send us some room offers in the mail as I would recommend/stay at this property again in a heartbeat.

Sorry for the late post,just signed up.First thing is room not completely clean,o'kay but not great.Machines are a little tight,drink service great at certain times of day.Good value for the money.

My wife and I visited Las Vegas for 5 days beginning on June 23, 2003. We have always stayed on the strip, but it got to the point fighting the crowds and miles and miles of walking put quite a damper on our vacations. So this year we opted for the Four Queens, and to be truthful, we were a little leary of staying downtown at such an old property. The fears we had were unfounded. Our room was outstanding for the price, and by that, I mean it was just as clean as any on the strip. Bathrooms a little small, but how big a bathroom do you need.
The entire staff at the Queens were excellent, from the front desk to the bus boys. We ended up doing most of our gambling right there. Our points allowed us to eat at Hugo's and Magnolias frequently. Casino hostess, Marty, was very pleasant and most accommodating. The casino itself was nice, drinks easy to come by and very friendly waitresses. Just being downtown on Fremont was a better experience than the strip. More like old Las Vegas, not to mention the money saved on hotel prices. Looking forward to our return trip soon. Going to make the Four Queens our HQ's in Vegas.

Stayed there for 8 nights starting Feb. 26th. Reserved two rooms. Prior to arrival, had called and requested South Tower, non-smoking, 2 queen beds each room, adjoining rooms, strip view. Didn't know how many of these requests could be met, but all of our requests were met and ready when we checked in. Room was clean and comfortable, bathrooms are small but serve the purpose. We were there during NASCAR weekend, and they gave us the best rates. Ate at Magnolia's three times, food and service were great. Will definately be staying there again.

I always stay downtown when visiting Vegas. This is the first time I ever stayed at the Four Queens. The hotel was able to honor our request for adjoining rooms. Not only did we get adjoining rooms, we got the best view of the strip I have ever seen. We had two in our party of four who had never been to Vegas before, so the view was an added bonus. From check in to check out, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Getting from our rooms to the casino floor was very quick and easy. We found the casino personnel very friendly, lots of blackjack tables with table limits of $2.00 and up and a variety of deck options. Both my sister and I have said our next trip to Vegas we definitely will stay at the Four Queens again!

This is, by far, the worst place I have ever stayed. When we went to our room after checking in, there were still guests in the room - embarassing for everyone. The bed was lumpy, the bathroom tiny, and our a/c didn't work. We didn't have room service menus in the room and it took nearly an hour to get one brought to our room. Then, it took nearly an hour to get breakfast brought up. The hotel asked if we wanted to put the charge on our room or pay cash. We asked to have it put on our tab, only to be told later that it wasn't actually an option - we had to pay cash for room service. I was playing craps for over an hour and never got a drink. The one waitress I tried to flag down said, very rudely, that she wasn't my server and to wait for my own server. My wife was so pissed off that she had us moved to a suite, but that was still a super crappy room. I'll never set foot in this dump ever again, for any reason.

Stayed here 01/03. Supposedly was given a room/meal package. Meal package consisted of 2 for 1 coupons for dinner and breakfast, only problem was that I was a single! I asked the front desk clerk about it, her reply was that I should go find somebody outside to eat with. I eventually ended up eating at other locations instead. Room was basic. They charge for parking (most of the other casino's downtown had free parking for hotel guests). Casino itself was small and old looking, including the crap tables. Snack shops other than burger king weren't open early for breakfast.
Probably wouldn't stay at this place again.
I did notice (like in a previous post) same sex couples around, but it didn't bother me, was too busy doing my own thing.

I have stayed here for the past 3 years & I have another reservation for this Fri. it is the only place I stay..........They are very nice to older women by themselves.(Of which I am one)I like the older employees & they are always polite & courteous. The bathrooms are small, BUT I didn't come to sit in the bathroom & I only am in the room to sleep.The food is good & the slots are great......... Linda A. Marcum Booneville, Ky

Want to save a few bucks? This place is very nice to stay at for next to
nothing. Considering what some dumps charge, what some generic
hotels pass off as luxury, i will take the FOUR QUEENS and their
unpretensious surroundings.
The hotel is comfortable, the casino is crammed and jumping with an
exciting action, the table limits are usually 3 or 5 dolalrs, just enough to
keep out the homeless crackheads who like that dollar blackjack. The
location is great and convenient. Parking is simple.

I like the Four Queens a lot. It is clean and friendly. I used to stay at the
Golden Nugget, but since they have cut back on their comps, I moved. I
was pleasantly surprised by the good service at Four Queens. Also, I
found fellow guests to be pleasant, too. They were not as affluent as the
Nugget, but seemed to have more sun. I took my 80 year old mother there
in April and she loved it, too. They have some good video poker
machines, reasonable odds and good progressive jackpots. Will
definitely visit again.

$$$$Four Queens has great progressive slots. Rooms are a good value for the buck.
I have visited several times. I wish they had a pool and jacuzzi area. I usually use the one for the California Hotel and Main Street Station and no one complains.
I am staying again on June 2nd thru the 5th this week 2002. I will probably eat at the Fitgerald or the Horseshoe.

Stayed at 4 queens in May, but gambled there in February and in August and intend to stay there on next vacation in December. I find the dealers and employees there to be very friendly, and nice. The rooms are clean and the atmosphere is that of "Old Las Vegas". I have had nothing but good experiences there

Didn't stay in hotel- only played 10 hrs a day in casino...people at tables who were staying there remarked how nice their rooms were to me. Had a few grumpy dealers, but 90% were very friendly and fun. AND they had the only $2 blackjack in all of downtown that I saw- plus 1 or 2 $3 tables. I was playing th $3 tables until the price went up to $5 one night- and the pit boss let us continue the rest of the night at 3. Place just felt lucky! They also have Hugo's Cellar rated as the best gourmet restaurant in Vegas, a Burger king, a sushi restaurant, and a great burger/salad/breakfast place. Easy to get around in- not too big- plenty of nickel slots- will stay there next time. Great place for a low roller!

FUN!! If you are visiting the Four Queens for the first time, be ready for some funny management promo’s. First: Apply on line for their slot club card. They will give you a free (special) gift when you present your internet registration copy to the VIP Players Club Booth. Your free gift: A genuine (plastic) ball point pen. Our room on the top (19th) floor had a large Rose Bouquet,Chocolate Easter Bunnies and bottled water just standing there for the taking. I contacted front desk only to find out these comp’s we’re for the last person who had the room and not for us. So we emptied the ashtrays, put all the (L.A.) luggage tags in the trash and started having (St. Patricks Day) fun downtown. The weekend: Fun times at the Four Queens Hotel/Casino if your not too stuffy a person. Mr.Michael, Minnesota.

Had a 5 night stay at the Four Queens over Super Bowl Weekend...got a great rate of $200.00 for 5 nights through an agent...the room I received was clean and efficient...great view from the 19th floor...This hotel is typical Downtown Vegas, great value and very convenient...friendly dealers and hotel staff..casino has lively action.....if you're going to Vegas to worry about the hotel bathroom being small then stay on the strip....great value for the money at the Four Queens....

A group of 16 of us stayed for 5 days/nights and spent countless hours & dollars only to be treated poorly by a couple of bad pit bosses and dealers. We built up a large of points on our players club cards, only to be told by the pit boss on duty that it means nothing and has no value. The treatment by a few unfortuately put a black mark on the rest who were generally very nice. The place also had a very strong septic odor in one of the main entry areas.

I enjoyed my stay there. The location is good, the casino is GREAT. It would use a few less lights, or dimmer ones. The craps dealers were patient with me as a first time player and had me on my way ot becoming an expert by the time I left. My wife didn't like that there wasn't soda or ice machines on every floor and some of them were broken. But what do you want for the no frills price! I'm not saying that in a bad way... but you get what you pay for. If you want a clean, comfortable room with decent service.. then the 4Qeens are for you!

My husband and I stayed at the Four Queens only because there were no other rooms available Downtown. We should have stayed home and went another time. The room was filthy with trash still in the waste baskets from the previous renter. The bed was so lumpy you could not get comfortable. When we complained at the check in desk all they said they could do was to send someone to reclean the room. They did not offer to move us or give any comps of any sort to placate us. We tried to have our airline tickets changed in order to go home a day early but could not due to it being a chartered flight. We did not eat there nor did we gamble there but only came back to the hotel to sleep, shower or change clothes. I will never, never stay there again nor will even go in the dirty place. It is dirty and rundown. It's a dump and should be imploded. If you want a decent place to stay try Golden Nugget or Plaza.

Came out from So Cal during the week by myself. The Four Queens was recommended by an ex-girlfriend plus they offered $25.00 rooms. This was the cheapest price in all of Vegas. When I went to check in, I was offered a suite for just $20 more, which I accepted happily. I liked the room. It was large and facing the Fremont Street Experience. I was on the 14th floor. This was not good later as the volume from the light and sound shows down below kept me up. I didn't really like downtown too much. Most of the staff were friendly however and I would stay here again if I wanted a good deal. Ask for a suite when you go and see what they do.

rooms very average better than binions and fremont below fritz and main street station; casino is above average, craps odds better than most except binions and main street station; price of rooms is the best.

WE STAYED AT THE 4QUEENS FOR 5 NIGHTS 1/20-25/02.ROOMS WERE OK ,CASINO WAS NOT THE FAVORITE.THERE WAS A BAD ODOR IN THE CASINO.WENT TO THE SAHARA HAD $1.00 BJ IT WAS GREAT.IF YOU WERE LOSING ONLY BET $1.00 IF YOU WERE WINNING BET MORE.WE ATE AT 2 BUFFETS,RIO AND MAIN STREET STATION ,MAIN ST.WON HANDS DOWN.

We stayed here once or twice but I don't think we'll stay here again. The rooms were small and not that clean but not dirty either. The casino is old and dirty and needs a face lift. There is no buffet and the service is so so. Gaming here is not that great.

We checked in on New Years day at noon. There was no standing in line to check in. Our room was ready and was what we requested. We asked for an early maid service and it was done early and efficiently. I asked to speak to a slot host to ask questions about comps. He was very helpful. The food in Limricks was wonderful. The machines were not very generous, but were fun. People on the floor were very helpful. We will stay here again.
