I've read bad reports about the new frontier, & have come to the conclusion that some people just like to complain !
We stayed there 12/25/03 thru 12/29/03, my wife, daughter & myself. the service was fantastic! the casino was always being cleaned ! our room (atrium swite) was immaculate ! the staff was friendly & always smiled ! they helped w/ all of our questions! I tip my hat to everyone at the new frontier. this was our 5th visit to vegas, & have stayed at other hotel casinos', thanks to everyone at the frontier, our stay was terrific ! THANK YOU ALL !!! the flag guy

Perfect Hotel to stay at during the NFR because you are within walking distance of the convention center and Stardust w/Ricky and the Redstreaks.

I have been to Vegas several times and stayed up and down the strip and on Fremont Street. When I booked by reservation at the Frontier, I was just looking for an inexpensive place to lay my head. As it is often said, you get what you pay for. I should have known when the attendant at the airport cab stand laughed when I said I was going to the Frontier. Talk about an omen. I don't know how they did it, but everything at the Frontier is somehow stained. The walls, the hallway carpets, the bedding, even the ironing board. Its like it was decorated by the crew of Animal House. When I first walked into my room, there was a pile of choclate cereal (most like CoCo Puffs but I was not going to verify) in front of the TV. Despite my comments to the staff, the pile of cereal stayed for two more days. Bang up job cleaning the room is all I can say. When I first arrived I requested an ironing board. After arguing with the front desk to get it, it showed up with the condition that it would be picked up in a half an hour. Apparently there is only one for the entire hotel. Three days later it left our room after several calls to the front desk. The location is horrible. You have a better chance of sprouting wings than catching a cab. The casino help was very friendly and the tables had low limits. That is about the only positive I can find. I have read that others had good experiences in the Atrium wing. Obviously I was in the older section. Despite the location, condition of the room, the cops breaking up a fight outside my hotel room door at 4:00 am and the general odor of the place, I had a good time in Vegas. Of course I spent 91.4% of my time anywhere else but the Frontier. If you are looking for a cheap room, go to the Stratosphere. You will be much happier.

I had an enjoyable visit at the Frontier. Yes, it's one of the older properties in the area, but I kind of like that. The location is pretty good and the service staff was extremely friendly to me. I, also, managed to get a Royal Flush on one of their VP machines....very nice! As I walked through various parts of the building and looked at the detailed woodwork and use of mirrors, I imagined what it was like in its heyday. It must have been a very exciting place when it was first introduced to Vegas. It's nice to see a property that has lasted a decent length of time. I would stay there again.

I received a free room certificate. Although adequate, there was certainly
nothing special here. A previous comment mentioned the "old look" which would be O.K., if it was just restored this way, but instead it's like they can't afford to do any type of updating. Having an "old" motif mixed with 70's bedspreads and post-style beds with a lovely view of the back of another tower, just doesn't do it for me. Luckily, I don't go to Vegas to sit in a room, however!

The casino, however old, is set-up to be fair to players - with some of the best odds around- and I, too, was lucky to get a royal!

The staff seemd to be very friendly, although the check-in was quite slow- with not a lot of people in line. I would hate to be checking in with a crowd of people ahead of me.

I would probably stay again, but wouldn't pay too much and would expect a room which was updated within the last 4 decades or so!

First, the hotel adds a $5.00 charge to pre-paid rooms for "phone calls and energy." No mention of this when booked.
I selected this hotel because it has a deep pool. This was the only thing going for it. The casino has a funky odor and no ambiance. I had a room in the old section, which smelled musty, The hallways were in disrepair and the elevaors belonged in a factory. The room was only adequate, facing south to the Fashion Show Mall, which is undergoing a noisy construction addition.
Housekeeping was a joke. The maid did not show up one day and ignored the "make up room" door sign for five hours another day.
We tried the Orchard Buffet for breakfast and the food and service were awful. Not only is there a small selection, the taste and quality of the food
leaves a lot to be desired. Walk over to The Stardust or Riviera if you want a buffet.
This hotel is my choice for the next implosion in Las Vegas.

OK--- to make a long story short--- on a whirlwind visit to Vegas in 1994
we were able to get an Atrium Suite at the Frontier for $65 a night--
back when they were having a big labor union dispute-- the room was great
the casino was great-- the food was great--- we had a great time !!!
So when my youngest daughter decided to get married in LasVegas in
June 2003--- I selected the Frontier as the place for all the wedding guests
to stay AND I booked dinner for the 20 guests at the Phil's Steakhouse.
I booked about 8 rooms myself for my family-- using the net. When we
arrived-- we were given a room in the old section of the hotel that we had
never seen in 1994---- it was HORRIBLE !!!! We insisted on rooms at the
Atrium which we were given for more $$ of course. The atrium rooms
were good, but showing their age. The casino was OK-- also showing its age.
The dinner at Phil's Steakhouse was superb !!! Super service and very good
food !!!
If we ever go back to Vegas-- we will probably not stay at the Frontier
unless they upgrade the facility. We will more likely stay in a place further
south on the strip, even if it costs a bit more $$.
My suggestion to the owners of the Frontier is to literally
"bite the bullet" and rebuild !! The "Doral" (?) across the street is going to take
a few years yet to build-- time may be wasting for the Frontier's owners
to "up-grade" !!!

The reason I rated this "a bad visit" was because I felt the customer service wasn't very good - I requested a non-smoking room and I previously asked if I could reserve a cot (extra bed needed in a double bed room) - when I arrived I was put into a smoking room and told that they were full and could not provide me with a room until the next day - I also asked for the cot and they told me that I could not have one - I don't know why someone gives you information and then other information is given to you when you arrive (possibly because they know every other hotel is full). The room was large but it appeared a little run down. I found out how run down when I took a shower. The water never went down so my son had to take a shower while the water was up to his knees. The worst was the toilet stopping up each time you used it so we had to go downstairs to use the restroom. The cable also went off for about an hour and it took them about an hour to get it back up. They came to fix the shower and toilet problem but as time passed - both the shower and toilet continued with the same problem. The staff isn't very friendly - they appear to be upset at working at this hotel. The only thing nice thing about this place was the pool - large and not very crowded - but I don't think I would visit this place based on solely the pool. For a little more money I think I would stay somewhere in the middle. I guess sometimes you get what you pay for!

Ripoff!!!!!!! That's how you will feel after getting your bill there. They will charge you $2 for every 1-800 call! Seriously! That's after waiting 45 minutes to check out when there was 4 (not 20) poeple ahead of me! I have never had worse service checking in/out of a casino than here, and the price I paid ($49.99 which really means $70+ at this dump) was a very poor value ineeed. There are many better places you can spend the same or even less and get a good night's stay. The casino is also very outdated and the whole place need renovation badly. Room wasn't too bad actually though the A/C unit made too much racket to get any decent sleep.

The room was fine. The choice of food was poor and it was only one room was open at all times. This hotel had the worst front desk service of any hotel we have stayed in so far. At major check in times it was poorly staffed, and we had to wait twice for more than 20 minutes to be helped. Our room which we had booked months in advance was not ready when we arrived, and though we specifically stated we had to have a NON SMOKING room we were placed in a smoking room. The hygiene in the hallways was disgusting. The nicest staff member in the entire hotel was a chef at the meat counter in the buffet.

The only bad experience we had was at check in. The man at the counter was very rude and unfriendly. Computer was down and he couldn't find reservations for the other couple that we were with, but I had gotten a confirmation 2 days prior to our trip by e-mail and had brought it with us. We waited about 20 minutes and he found it in the computer finally. We were given an atrium suite on the 14th floor for the same price as a standard room ($39.00), very good deal. The suite was roomy and clean. The maids on our floor were very nice and did a great job. It was nice having 2 TV's and I really liked the extra sink and mirror in the bedroom. The view was great, and the location was too. We would stay here again, even after the bad experience at check in. We ate at The Orchards one night and the prime rib was wonderful. Sign up for the players card in the casino if you are going to gamble at all. I did, and got 3 free meals in The Orchards plus $13.00 cash back. Good comps.

The New Frontier rocks! I stayed in a suite which was really nice. You get 2 tvs and 3 sinks. The casino is smoky but I don't care because I don't gamble. the pool area is real nice. The spa temp is just right. Check in takes a while, but you can check out using your tv which is really cool.

We visited the New Frontier last month and stayed in an Atrium Suite. It was roomy and comfy. That is where the good part of the Frontier experience ends. The casino stinks like mildew and old smoke. The dealers were friendly and nice, but the floor people were openly hostile. When cashing out on my first night, the cashier threw the money at me from behind the counter. When I complained about that action with a lighthearted comment he said, "whatever." I am not expecting a 4 star experience here, but some common courtesy would have been nice. This place should be torn down. It is a dump. If the odor of an old basement and rude employees are part of "Old Vegas, you can have it. I will not return.

We stayed here for the economical price and the good location just north of the center strip. I did not expect that I would have the same experience that I would have at one of the mega-resorts at three or four times the price. However, I do expect that there be a minimum of service, cleanliness and maintenance done in the property.

It took us well over a half hour in line to check in and I merely left my room key on checkout as I did not want to waste half my last day in town waiting in the HUGE line to check-out.

This hotel is dated and needs a facelift. I knew this coming in but my room had drawers with knobs missing and just the screws hanging out. I had lamps with no bulbs in them and a tub that drained slowly. The hallways and casino have carpets held together with duct tape and peeling paint on the walls. I like a hotel with a low price in Vegas, I don't spend a great deal of time in it. I DO however expect that the room and hallways receive a minimum amount of care. I looked at someones dirty room service tray sit on the floor of the hallway leading to my room for two days. I guess it was nobody's job to pick it up and I would guess a manager never walked that hall in two days. NOT good service or management. There are other places I can stay on or near the strip for marginally more money and receive much more for my dollar.

With the expansion of the fashion mall next door and the building of Le Rev across the street, this property will quickly become an eyesore and blight on the neighborhood. It's time for implosion for this ill maintained property. I won't stay here again.

Unhappy with everything. Will never stay or gamble there again. They were unprofessional and treated us badly. Check - in was slow, elevators were so far out of date, they looked unsafe. Any problems we had were ignored with a "too bad" attitude. Can't believe this hotel/casino is in operation.

My huband and I wanted to get married in Las Vegas to make it a vacation for everyone involved. We checked with every hotel there and the prices were ridiculous. The Frontier was the only hotel that was willing to work with us on every detail and make it just what we wanted. They didn't force us to purchase a "package" that we didn't want. They gave us special rates for our guests rooms and gave us a Suite for a fraction of the price. When checking in some of the reservations were messed up, so they gave our guests who had problems, upgraded rooms for the inconvenience. The only complaint I heard about checking in was one oriental lady was rude and snappy. Everyone said their rooms were very clean. The day of the wedding, which we were suppose to have in the open Atrium, it rained. The staff had our decorations moved inside and set up in a ballroom in a matter of minutes. They even brought in an arch/gazebo, to make it the same as we would have had outside. The wedding went off without skipping a beat. Most of the staff really went out of their way. The food at the reception was wonderful and there was so much of it, no one went hungry! The only complaints were that the wedding cake was not the one I ordered and when cleaning up after the reception, the staff had thrown away our wedding cake top. Also, there were two staff ladies at the reception that needed an attitude adjustment...it was a party...and their nasty/I can't be bothered attitudes were noticed by several of my guests.

When we made our reservations, we were looking for something nice but economical. After all, you don't spend that much time in yout hotel room while in Vegas. The weeknight rate was decent, but to jack it up for the weekend, plus to add $20 per night for a 3rd person, plus to add $3 energy surcharge--not exactly money well spent. With a third person in our suite, we had to make 3 phone calls to get enough towels, pillows, and coffee--and didn't receive any of this until the our 2nd night. The bed had a definate "swag" in it, no drain in the sink, and poor draining from the tub. I can take the dated part of it if it feels clean, but this place did not look or feel clean. Walking through or sitting in the casino and you needed a shower to get rid of the smoke smell. Every breath was smoke filled--just in the walls and carpet, I guess. We were just quite disappointed in our choice and won't make the same mistake again.

Excellent choice if you are looking for reasonable room rates on the strip but plan on spending most of your time gambling elsewhere. Casino is not very lively and we were the only people in the place under the age of 50. Our visit was during football season and there was plenty of room in the sportsbook and fairly low-key. Mirage is very close so If you are looking for a lively sportsbook while staying at the Frontier, it is available. Another positive was that the drink service was always fast both at the tables as well as at the sportsbook. Not much to brag about when it comes to dining nor nightlife so we spent most of our evenings elsewhere.

I stayed in a 600 sq. ft. Atrium Suite.

Although the furniture was dated and I sank into the sofa, I did enjoy the extra space and second tv was useful.

Also, the view was great and the room was clean.

I had to beg and plead to get a nonsmoking room, even though I requested one a month in advance for health reasons.

I didn't spend much time in the casoino because the air was too smokey.

However, I paid $39.95 per night and you can't beat that price for a suite on the strip.

For the price, I'd come back again but this hotel badly needs to be renovated.

My daughter and I stayed at the Frontier on the night prior to her flying hom from Vegas.
We were placed in the older section of the hotel. The room was O.K., the bathroom is small, but a room very similar to what you get in some places in the downtown hotels and casinos.
What makes the Frontier acceptable, is the location near the mall and the new mega-casino hotels.

It is definitely the place the "cowboys" come to in Vegas. Being from Idaho, my daughter enjoyed watching all the guys in Gilly's.

Margarita's is an excellent place to eat and they have great beer, including Negra Modelo. There is no wait to be seated and the food is good and huge.

Be prepared - you are not staying at Caesar's - nor are you paying that huge amount - so kick back and enjoy the old style hotel. You will not be sorry that you did.

I just read several comments about the New Frontier and some of the feedback really pissed me off. I have been staying at the Frontier for more than 15 years, through 3 different owners. I have always been treated very well there. I have been comped for my play with free rooms (in the Atrium Suites) and meals. If I ever get into a room that has a problem, I just notify the desk and they either fix it, or move me to another room, no problem. You have to remember that the Atrium Suites are not very old and some of the people who stay in them act like pigs and they ruin them so blame the visitors, not the Frontier staff. I get invited to several events a year and they really put on a feast and in very good taste, I might add. Just lately, I spent Halloween (you should have seen me in my hospital patient costume with a big fake butt sticking out the back, looked too real), Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years (great party and food) and Superbowl (great party and food) at the Frontier and every time was fun for me.I enjoy the staff at the gaming tables and the bartenders (I have my favorites) at the video poker bars, the floor people, the promotions and marketing staff, you name it. I have a great time at the Frontier and bring my friends to have fun also. I have paid over $100 a night to stay in fancier places, but it was never as much fun as I have at the Frontier. They were cold and impersonal and I like the relationships that the staff at the Frontier have formed with me. I wish that the people who put in those negative ratings about the Frontier would go and stay somewhere else. I don't enjoy meeting them in the casino. Some people expect everything for nothing and complain about everything, even if it's free. Sure, the casino is a little dated but that's what makes it fun, like the old Vegas was. Get away from home and let your hair down and have a good time. I don't go there to impress anyone or be impressed by a bunch of snobs. I go for the fun and I have it at the Frontier. I go there from 6 - 12 times a year and I Love the New Frontier. I bring my mom sometimes, my sister and her husband, my friends, and they are all now faithful Frontier visitors as well. I have met many people who have become friends and we run into each other several times a year there. Apparently they must enjoy it as much as I do, or they wouldn't keep coming back. So, go further south on the strip, complainers, and spend your money on fancy rooms. Let us common folk enjoy the good ol' Frontier. It will be a sad day for me and my friends when the Frontier comes down especially if it gets replaced by something similar to the newer casinos. CJ from Minnesota

We have been to vegas eight times in the last ten years. We like going out there for mostly the excitment. Las Vegas can be what ever you want it to be.
The first couple of times we stayed at the Imperial palace. Which was nice and we had no complaints.(Except the people standing along the sidewalk handing out smut cards) But thats all along all the newer ones. Our first stay at the Frontier left us feeling like we were in Las Vegas. The old time fancy look. There are only a few gambling halls left that still make you feel that way. Binions Horseshoe is another. But want really makes your stay and gambling experence fun at the Frontier is the people it attracts. We have met the most friendly people playing at the Frontier. They are not pushing and shoving you around the casino. You can play and visit with anyone who sits down. I stumbled on to this rating site and read some comments that I felt were just wrong. And if you read into the negative comments that some make. They are the A-- H----s
that take the fun out of your vacation at those other hotels. The Frontier is not the newest, biggest but has everything you need to have a good time. And for the buck, a very good value.

I have been staying at The Frontier, since 1995, and let me say, that I love this hotel. Sure, it is not like the mega resorts, but it is a part of Las Vegas History, and the ambiance makes it worth staying there.

When I got to the hotel, the computers were down, but check in was a breeze, even though the computer system was not working. I got a room on the 7th floor, with a balcony, overlooking the pool area, but I also had a view, of the mountains, and the Stardust, etc.

The room was great, the bed was so comfortable, and it was nice to have such a large room. The room was everything I expected, it was clean, there was no tape on the carpet, like some other people have said they've seen, my bathroom was in excellent shape, and overall I would give the room, a 10+ rating.

As far as the rest of the hotel, I didnt have much luck at the casino, their slot machines are tight as a drum, but I still had fun. I also ate at the Orchard Buffet, and it was great, those of you who said it wasn't, have no clue what your talking about, the food was great, and the service was awesome.

I am going back again next year, with my parents, and as usual, we will stay at the Frontier. If you want a classy hotel, with all the extra's, by all means go for it. In my opinion, the Froniter cannot be beat, because of the ambiance, friendliness of the staff.

If you are looking for class, If you are looking for style,
If you are looking for a pleasent atmosphere, or even friendly
staff. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT STAY AT THE FRONTIER HOTEL.
Why they bill themselves as the New Frontier is beyond me.

The place if dirty, dirty, dirty. the hotel is just plain
disgusting.
If I can save one person from going there I would be happy.
The water doesn't work. they want you to reuse your towels, they
expect you to sleep on sheets for a couple of days, they don't
vacuum the rugs. the place stinks when entering.
Why we stayed as long as we did, was because we were with a
convention, and we didn't want to upset the couple we were with.
Never, again.
My suggestion to the Frontier, is CLOSE YOUR DOORS, TEAR IT DOWN
AND TO THE OWNERS GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM.

As someone who visited Vegas for the first time and is not a gambler,
the Frontier was more than ok. The rooms are clean and fairly
reasonable, and the service is decent. The hotel should extend the
pool hours, however, since the swimming hole closes at 8 pm. While the
$2 margaritas tasted like Slurpees and worth it, I would avoid the deli offerings, as they didn't look to be much better than bad airport food. Further, the casino is a bit dated, but it has $3 hands of blackjacks,
and the location forces you to walk miles before you hit the heart of
the strip. All told, though, it's not a bad place if you're not a
Viva Las Vegas type.

Wow. I do n't know what to say about this place!! Part of me is thinking
damn, this place really sucked-- I mean, I have so many complaints about
it.. The shower in my room was sluggish (as in the second you turn it on, it
acts as a bath and fills up.. no drain system in our room, lol), there was no
VCR or decent channels on our TV, the pool was FREEZING cold
(unbearable) and it closed at six (keep in mind it gets dark at like what,
10? And it's 110 degrees).. Everything here is incredibly expensive, like
the crappy resteraunts downstairs, etc.. In-room movies are 10 bucks,
donuts are 2 bucks a piece, etc.. Also, bad location. It's a bit of a walk from
anything decent on the strip. (except treasure island/mirage) However,
this hotel did have its good times. There was something very nice about
staying in a place that was a bit rugged-- And it's not like the place was
dirty. The casino is ok, and they have a couple good resteraunts like the
Panda Express (which isn't listed) and a very nice buffet that i like a lot
(unsure if listed or not). Also, there are generally some good rates you can
get to stay there. I noticed that the less you have, the more you appreciate
whatever IS there. My best friend and I made our own fun. Despite all my
negative comments, I most likely WOULD stay there again. Even though it
wasn't the most posh, there was something about it that made it perfect.
Beats me. Guess you'll have to go there to see what I mean :) ~~~

I went to the website for the frontier only 2 months in advance for my stay.
Luckily they had atrium suites for only 55 dollars a night. When i arrive at
1:30 am i was tired and just wanted to get to my room....Well as las vegas
check ins go ONLY 5 MINUTES!!!!! But the thing is they ran out of Atrium
suites, and i was bumped up to PENTHOUSE!!!! sure the hotel may seem
like nothing special, but it makes up for it in friendly service and quality.
The suite was amazing....a sitting room and wet bar in main room...a big
bedroom with view of the strip...and snacks and champagne in the
bathroom with jacuzzin hot tup! OVERALL GREAT STAY!!! COME ON
DOWNA AND ENJOY YOURSELF!!!!!

We didn't stay at this hotel, but we visited it to see the show "Rock & Roll Legends". However, we did get an impression of what we would have been in for had we stayed there. One of the first things we noticed was that they used duct tape to fix a rip in the carpet. The Hotel looked to be in need of a general overhaul compared to similar classed area hotels. While waiting for the show to begin, I was curious about the black jack tables, having never played. It was late afternoon and the tables weren't busy so, I approached the pit boss and asked him a few questions. He was unfreindly, very condescending and bothered by my ignorance of the game, so we didn't spend a dime in the casino. Then came the show. The theater was small and rinky-dink. The music was karaoke-like. It included impersonators of Elvis, Bobby Darrin, Paul McCartney, John Lennon and Neil Diamond. They were bad. How bad were they? They were so bad, we started laughing uncontrollably during the act. As one of the people in my party said, "it was like something you would do in front of your parents as a child". I felt embarassed for them. Was this really Las Vegas or a school play. The only consolation for us was great time we had laughing about the whole thing. It's not a bad location on the strip, if someone would tear it down and build a nice new place.

Me and my wife stay at the frontier every year, and we love it. I know it's not fancy and is kind of run down but the friendships we've made and the fun we have there makes it feel like home. We aren't fancy people and this environment makes us feel comfortable. We stay in the atrium suites and they are very adequate and clean. I love the open air concept. The casino although small compared to others, has all you need to satisfy your gambling appetite and is not crowded like other casinos. This hotel is not for all people but for open minded budget conscious people who aren't looking to act like a big spender than this just might be your place too. P.S. Checkout phil's angus steakhouse.

We stayed for 3 nights at the New Frontier over Spring Break.(2 adults and 2 children) We stayed in the Atrium Suites which have a lounge area and a bedroom. The suite was spacious and had the added bonus of a fridge and coffee maker (Coffee supplied !)
The bathroom was a bit tired but the the tub was very large and the water very hot ! There was also an extra sink in the bedroom which was very convenient.
The pool area was spacious but the pool could have been cleaner !! There were leaves on the bottom of the pool and the hot tub had a lot of flaking paint which came off when the jets were put on !! There were many lounge chairs but some of them needed repairing !
The hotel definitely needs a bit of up dating but as far as value for money is concerned we did get a good deal.

Not the most fancy place in town in a poor location for the strip,
but the margueritas at $2 a hit are top value ( free if you feed the machines in the bar top) Had good luck here on the Munsters $50 win from a 5c machine,we will be back

I went to Las Vegas for the new year in 2002 and I want to share my experience at the Frontier with you so that no one else has to endure what I endured. My brother-in-law to be invited my sister and myself to Las Vegas for a vacation. Keep this in mind: I have stayed only at The Mirage, The Venetian, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, and Paris when I have come here to vacation. These are well kept up, high-class establishments that I will continue to give my business to. So when my sister's boyfriend invited me to bring my wife and to come with them on a vacation to Las Vegas, I was thrilled. How naive I was to think that all hotels are as nice as the ones I mentioned. I knew no different than the best. Let's just say that Tom (my sister's boyfriend's name) broadened my horizons (that's your cue to laugh......just kidding..haha). I asked him where we were going to stay. He told me that he got a great deal at the New Frontier Hotel. I was aware of the bad ratings and that it was not as nice as the beautiful, exquiste, new megaresorts down the street, but I couldn't have evened dreamed of how awful a hotel can be. I kept my mind open and I didn't say anything to Tom.
When we arrived at the Frontier, there was NO ONE to help us with our luggage. Not a terrific start, since we hadn't even set foot in the place. Once we got to the check-in desk, we found that the ONE person that was working was on the phone with a girlfriend. She was talking about the new tattoo that her boyfriend got. I was impatient and wanted to get to the room. She brushed us off like we were not important.
Once we got checked in we had to drag our bags to our room. When my wife and I walked into our room we were horrified. It was a dirty, unkept, small box of a room. We both wanted to take showers, so my wife told me I could go ahead and she could unpack. I went into the bathroom. It's a wonder that I made it out without getting sick. The was mildew and soap scum in the shower, dried toothpaste in the sink, and the toilet hardly flushed.(That day I actually went out and bought soap-scum remover and Tilex, because I couldnt stand it) Then when I was getting ready I noticed that the window was held together with duct tape.
The casino had bails of straw in it. Bails of straw. Can you believe that? Las Vegas outgrew this time period fifty years ago. The carpet was thin and right on top of cement.
That night I had enough. I told Tom I was sorry, but that I couldn't stay here any longer. That night we packed and left, since it was Tom's room. We took a taxi to the Bellagio and checked in to a Penthouse Suite, since there were no regular rooms available. After the Frontier, it was nice to be in a wonderful establishment again. The penthouse was well worth the $700 a night. I know a lot of people would say....why would he waste the time with the Frontier, but I was only being nice to my sister's fiancee.
The Frontier should be imploded or greatly remodeled. It is an overall unexceptable experience. It is not worthy to be neighbors with the new megaresorts of today.

I went here for my birthday. It was really bad. I was so disappointed. I paid 260.00 for a two night stay. The bathroom was filthy, so they had to move us to a different room. When I asked if a could get help with the bags they acted like they did't know what that was. The staff was not friendly or helpful at all. I will stay here again, if it's the last place in Vegas, I won't go. It certainly is not a nice suite like the web site said it was. It is a dump.

We were very thankful for The Fontier. We were going with other family members
and spur of the moment we decided to take the red eye in the night before
our reservations were for the Stardust and when I called them to say we ould be there one night early they said no problem we will give you the room for 49.00 for the extra night. Well when we arrived at midnight the Stardust said we will give you the room for 79.00 and by the way we have no hot water or air conditioning until 6a.m. Yeah right and you expect me to pay 79.00 for this, I wouldnt pay 2.00 for that. Anyway we walked next door to The Frontier and got a very decent room for 49.00 with hot water and air. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Yeah its not five star but it worked for me. And as for the guy who has supposedly stayed at the Mirage, Venetian , Mandalay Bay and others
If you have been to Vegas that many times then you would have known what you were getting yourself into. I wouldnt call that naive I would call that retarded. And you just couldnt take it you HAD to pay 700.00 a night at the Bellagio. Whatever pal if you even had that kind of money you would have taken one look at the Frontier and said no way. I think you are a liar.

Avoid this hotel at all cost. I was late coming back from grand canyon and just needed a place to sleep for the night. what a dump. The room was old. The bitch who worked at the front desk were rude. The room was next to a parking front entrance and it smell like a tobacco farm when i woke up the next day. This is a dump. When are they going to blow this crap place up. Steve wynn should have bought this dump and blew it up when he partially tore down desert inn.

This place really needs lots of improvment. I liked the pool area, the bingo hall, the Mexican diner, but the rooms were dingy and dark. I stayed here because I had a hell of deal through bid4vacations.com. If you don't mind being a budget traveler or don't have high expectations, you might like this place, but for the most part, I wouldn't recommend it.

Its been two years since I stayed here, but The room was huge. I just hate geting to your room and finding a cramped box. The room was dated, but clean. eh, a smoky western-style casino has some ambience the sterile strip
lacks, but the rooms are going downhill. I used to stay here but not any
moe, there are too many competitive offers from better-maintained
casinos.
