I have stayed at this hotel several times and have always found the property to be well maintained and enjoyable. The slot club is like most other hotels with one exception. If the husband plays the tables and is comped a meal, the casino takes the points or cash value out of the joint account points. Thus the comp is not really a comp, you have paid with your comp cash that has accumulated in the slot account. Needless to say, my wife was very upset with me when I accepted the meal comp, then found her points were redeemed from her slot play. My wife loves the penny slots, and will play for hours. We decided to treat ourselves to the up-scale resturant, the Lodge. The meal was very good, meet the Chief, we rate the resturant 5 stars, one of the best in Laughlin. Will visit again in the spring. Its one of our favorite places to stay and play in Laughlin.

Although we have yet to stay at the River Palms Hotel, the casino has become our favorite in Laughlin. It has what we believe to be the widest selection of slots, from pennies to $5, and the payout is better than in other casinos along the river. Add to it that the casino is clean, food has been very good (try the all-you-can-eat fried shrimp dinner in their cafe, or the all-you-can-eat pasta at their Italian restaurant), beverage service is good, easy access to the riverwalk and the river taxis, and you get a good deal.
This trip, we spent the better part of 2 days at River Palms. The first night, we decided to go see the free show of Berri Lee - he is a comedian-magician and he is a riot. He had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand and we all laughed until we cried. We liked him so much, we went back the next evening. Even though the act was identical to the previous one, it was just as funny.
We've stayed at the Riverside during our 2 trips to Laughlin and we are happy with their accommodations, and we like their casino, too, but the best gambling on the river is at River Palms!

I had a great time their at the river palms. The food and rooms were good. spent most of my time playing the table games, and what I appreciate the most is a casino that has a few good dealers in their staff. I played craps in the evening and (Jeff) was the dealer. great customer skills and great dealing skills to go with it. Thanks river palms..I'll be staying at your place on my next visit to laughlin.

Visited the River Palms from January 27 to 31. Apart from a foul up with the room reservation the visit was good. We had requested king bed with smoking and got stuck with double beds with non-smoking. The desk staff was a bit abrupt, but had probably had to answer the same question 50 times by then. I think I would have been by then too. Once we overcame the inconvenience of the wrong room the rest of the trip was good.
Food in the River Palms Cafe and Pasta Cucina was great, but the buffet was less than impressive, actually worth avoiding. Be sure to swipe your player's card in the machine by the Cafe for a $2 off voucher for an already cheap breakfast special, bring the cost down to 99c for a great meal. The Pasta Lounge offers $1.50 draft from 4-6 p.m. for a huge mug, and has complimentary snacks too, well worth while.
Rooms were clean and spacious, but lacked in ammenities.... no hair dryer, no clock, minimal furnishings. I guess for the price it's about all you can expect, but I have never stayed in a room that didn't provide a $5 clock. With the lighting of the buidling shining up the face and into the window, there was no way to tell in the middle of the night if it was morning or still night.
The Beeri Lee show and Celebrities on Stage were both excellent and worth taking in. The Berri Lee show is free and there is no drink minimum required. Celebrities on stage were incredible, and well worth the $20 ticket price.
Didn't have any luck in the casino, but then again, the odds are always with the house no matter where you play. Tried all the other casinos along the strip and didn't fair any better at any of them. If you plan on getting rich, stay away from Laughlin, Vegas or any other casinos. 99% of the time it's just not going to happen. At least we had fun trying!!
The location of the property isn't as convenient as a few others along the walk, but what it lacks in location it makes up in value. Despite the screw up with the room reservation, I would stay at the River Palms again, probably book direct next time and eliminate the possibility of an incompetent travel company messing things up.

I love this large casino, with its bingo hall. I enjoyed playing the penny party train machines. Did very well. Will be back!

Very friendly and clean. I have been there the past three times i have been to laughlin and am going back in January. We have gotten to know some of the staff and they always welcome us with a smile and a "welcome back!"

Me and seven close golfing pals come down every year from the cold weather up here in Alaska. We always stay at the River Palms because of the good service and frendly pit bosses. We were comped a great meal for all of us at the resturant up stairs. Sorry I dont remember the name but it was nothing but first class. We look forward to this years visit in October. Cant wait to bring fresh shrimp from up here to the Pit bosses that comped us. I wish I could remember their names, They were a great pair. I believe they were Married. Hope they read this and get a hold of me. Big thumbs up for the River Palms.... See ya in October

had a great time, easy check in, tv check out, food was good, have to love $1.00 budweisers 16 ozers, got there by sun country airlines, no problem, gaming was fun but no big winners, pool was clean and had a bar, would do it again.

I took my 28 yr old daughter who is 7 months PG and everything was great. I'll start with the only thing I see that could have been improved. There is no riverwalk from casino to casino on the river side. We had to go out to the street to get to River Palms hotel from the other casinos if you were walking. You can take a water taxi instead. This was by no means riugh on us.
Check in was this fast at check in time, we checked in about 3 pm. I dropped off my daughter (they do have free valet service) at the front and by the time I parked in the parking structure and walked back, very short distance, she was checked in. The room was average but clean. The window view was great. beds were smallish, I'm used to a king alone at home. These are double beds, 2 of them. All the people we talked with at the hotel, casino, eating places etc. were very friendly and helpful. Wedidnt eat the buffet at the River Palms as we heard the Harrahs buffet was the best. I wish I hjad tried the buffet at River Palm, I will next time. There was no line at the Harrahs buffet and a long line extending into the evening at River Palms. I have to see if the buffet is that good at River Palm. We did have the brunch in the morning at the River Palms, it was excellant. A guy making your omoletes, plenty of food, and a very large and well stocked buffet. A 10+
I also ordered a late nite snack at the 24 hour cafe. I ordered 2 turkey sandwichs, it came with a sald and pickle. My daughter wanted a nice fruit bowl, yea at midnight. They had it, it was $1.75 for a total of $11.00 plus change, excellant. The turkey was sliced thinly and great tasting, the bread was very fresh. I rate it at a 10+ also for a midnight snack. If I try to find just one thing wrong with River Palms, well I can't. I have stayed at the Riverside, very bad, the Edgewater somewhat better many times. I will now only stay at the River Palms unil the servive I recieved changes. It was an extremely good visit at the River Palms. Well, River Palms. We use to stay at your hotel/casino on a regular basis, but after just gambling at the Flamingo, we were comped rooms, something we can't say for your property. We use to do all our gambling and eating of meals at your property, but never got comped for ANYTHING. You need to loosen up in this area. That's the way to get people back again.
The remodeling of this property was a wonderful idea. It's so much cleaner and open now. The rooms were always clean and we did okay gambling here. It's a bit out out of the way from the other properties so we don't usually visit unless we have an urge to eat at the Italian restaurant.
