Four of us decided to leave earlier for our scheduled Saturday trip. We were able to secure a reservation at the Gold Strike. We chose to each get our own room as the price was so good and the availability was there. Room were very spacious and very clean. It was quiet and we got a good nights rest. We found the cafe to be pleasant and the food was satisfying. The service was excellent. We found the staff at the front desk to be very accomodating in getting our rooms next to each other. The casino is adequate. I must say the gift shop is one of the best I've seen and the variety was vast. It was an overall satisfying stay and I would consider staying at the Gold Strike in the future.

We have never stayed at the Gold Strike, but, we like gambling there. It's a little less hectic than Vegas and it's a short 20 minute drive from the Strip. I see that most people complain about the buffet and we're not in agreement with that. No, it's not the Bellagio and they don't pretend to be. We have enjoyed the dinners there. There's some clunkers on it, but, we've had them elsewhere. Their fried chicken for one is excellent and my wife(dessert expert) says their desserts are for the most part top notch. She says the coconut cream and lemon meringue pies are especially good. We go there everytime we visit the area to gamble and eat at the buffet. We have also ate at the coffee shop(very good) and the steakhouse(also very good). We like the Gold Strike.

I love the Gold Strike. The rates are incredibly low for very spacious, nicely appointed rooms. The computer connection and absolutely free local calling really add to the value for us. A coffeepot and real coffee, a hairdryer, a clock radio -- just what we need! TV reception is better here than in many LV hotels, and a few cable channels have been added to the local stations. The players' club is great; I don't gamble a lot and I still earn free rooms in a very short while.
The buffet is adequate but not exciting; the cafe and snack bar are better. The cafe has a 12 ounce strip steak at all hours, very tasty and great price. Desserts are huge, and the fun book gives you a free one with two entrees. (Bring your own doggie bag if you want to take anything with you; there may be a extra charge for packing up leftovers.) The pool is small but okay for the number of people who use it. I think the drive is well worth it.

Rooms are large and comfortable, ok pool, nice low-roller tables at the casino, no sportsbook though, had to go across the 15 to the Nevada Landing for one. Did the buffet a couple visits ago and won't try again. The coffee shop however is decent. If you don't mind the half hour drive to Las Vegas you can save some major bucks staying here.

My daughter and I stayed twwo nights at Gold Strick, the room was great and the service and food were also good. Would never stay anywwhere else.

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was great. The low price of the rooms more then make up for the 25 minute drive to the Las Vegas Strip. I did most of my gambling here. The Triple and Five Play Video Poker is lots of fun.
The only part of my stay that was not great was the food. Be it the Gold Rush Cafe or the Bonanza Buffet the food was bland and for the most part cold.
I will always stay at The Gold Strike when I vsit Las Vegas.
P.S. Remember to sign up for the Strike-It-Rich Slot Card. Comps come fast, even playing the nickles.
