Had a clean room but it was in need of cosmetic repairs, both furniture and the room itself. If you want a cheap night close to the strip or airport this is it, but if you want a fancy room, it's not. Good for catching some winks before an early morning flight where you just plan to get up and go.

Hey, I LOVE the Klondike! Yeah, all you people poke fun at it, but where else can you find the "ambiance of the Old West 70's Vegas" amidst walking distance of the glitzy corporate owned Casinos? Its a cheesy diner/casino/hotel but hey, there arent too many of those left these days! I could see a 70's type movie being filmed there, easily...Anyway, what I like about it is there are no phony plastic people hanginig out there, there are REAL people and REAL good food at REAL good prices. About the food, where else can you obtain sustenance for 99 cents after 11pm? I'm talking all you can eat Pancakes people! As my partner in crime Pancake-eater Chris says, "Its Pancake Paradise!" Large perfectly grilled fluffy yummy pancakes! They are the best pancakes in Vegas, and I know..I live here! Plus look for the coupons in your junk mail, you can rest knowing you can eat 8 free meal a month if you loose money gambling or if you are starving artists like us! Other good food is the Turkey club with fries for $4.99, or the Cheesy Tuna Melt. The fries are always fresh, and never greasy. This place rocks, and they do play good music over the PA. Last night I saw one lady win 500 nickels on a Poker Machine. COOL LITTLE PLACE!!

The worst service I have ever seen in a motel. Unfortunately, this is not an exageration. Family members trying to reach me were spoken to with foul language and hung up on. Mentioning it to management led nowhere. No messages left were ever passed on to us even though the callers explained repeatedly this was an emergency. The staff was simply rude and unhelpful.

The bed sagged, the carpet was horribly stained, the casino was small and horridly smelled of cigarette smoke. I wouldn't stay at this place unless it was a last resort. On the bright side, it was fun playing dime roulette, but I think you better off staying at the motel 6 if you want a cheap room. Or stay at an off-strip site, as this place really isn't on the strip.

it is on the strip and you can walk to the major casinos - i did in 100 degree heat. the hotel is a bargain when you believe you get what you pay for. the staff was friendly and although they dont really do vegetarian meals they did manage to put something together for me for my free meal that come with the room

Although it was a little crowded and the food wasn't that great (taste wise), my 4 day stay there was pleasant enough. It was away from the hubbub of the lights and all of the noise. I thought that they had a very nice pool and very nice employees. I was offered a suite at a discounted price because I was having hard times and wanted to treat myself, kind of pamper myself. That is the place to do it. If you don't want to be bothered by the room technicians you won't be bothered. There were no miscommunications as you would get in the more impersonal, larger casino type hotels. I will definitely stay there again!

We stayed at the Klondike for 2 nights cause they gave us the room for 25$/night included free breakfast, diner and 2 drinks. Stayed at Sahara before and decided to stay 2 more nights in Vegas and many of the Casinos were booked out. For that money it was ok but the rooms are dark and dusty and furnishing is damned old. The pool area - forget it, every motel has a better pool. The breakfast and diner was ok and the waitresses are very friendly. Would stay there again for a night but not more. Also you need a car during your stay cause it's a little away from the Strip.
The other reason we stayed there was that we knew the casino. It's a small but very familiar casino. All the employees there are very friendly. You get a free drink within minutes, even when you play only 5cent poker. They have older machines but everytime we played there, we won some money. Don't search there for any attraction but when you just want to gamble in familiar atmosphere - go to the Klondike.

I went to the Klondike with my grandaughter, she and myself had a great time. I think everyone there was very nice and very friendly. The food was a great price and we loved it. I would definitely go there again. we are moving to Vegas in Oct. and I would love to work there. If there might be a chance for a job, be sure to e-mail me. mchalstrom@yahoo.com and let me know if anything becomes available.
