Last month my mom and I stayed at the Hilton for 2 nights. We slept in a room in the Central Tower that had a pretty good view of the strip, the swimming pool and tennis courts. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was good. Housekeeping tended to the room everyday.

As far as gaming goes the casino is very nice and has a pretty good selection of slot machines, video poker. I played the slots and video poker machines and found they paid out a decent percentage of coin in.

We ate at Paradise Café and Margarita Grille. The food and service in both restaurants were ok.

My mom and I enjoyed our stay here and would probably consider staying here again if we didn’t have any offers for other hotels-casinos.

Absolutely loved the Hilton! Stayed on the 14th floor of the north tower. Room was very pretty with a great view of the strip. Star trek experience was a blast. I didn't do very well with the slots but had a wonderful time and will return in the future.

Didn't stay here. Came for the Star Trek Experience. Might I mention that it was great if you were ever a fan. My husband was never a fan and took a lot of pics for me but didn't enjoy the experience as much as I did. When signing up for our slot cards I had asked the person behind the counter about buy one get one free coupon for the Star Trek Experience (I had heard they were available if you signed up for the slot cards and asked). He sighed and muttered something about they should just make these available to everyone because everyone knows about them anyway. He was then required to get this special card and and it took him about 15 seconds of additional time with me to give this coupon to me. I was taken a little bit back by this so when we went over to buy our tickets there were people complaining about the $29.95 per person so I told as many people as I could to simply go and sign up for a slot card and ask about the 2 for 1 coupon. I know these people that work the slot clubs are busy and a lot of people go through their lines every day, however the Hilton had the shortest line I waited in in all of vegas to sign up for the slot club (one person was being helped when we got into line), so I can't imagine why the gentleman was so put out at my asking for a coupon that isn't kept exactly a secret. I agree with him, make them available to everyone so as to not incovience the slot club staff.

I liked the Las Vegas Hilton (especially for the $49 rate I paid). The rooms were older and smaller than most of the newer hotels, but very clean and well kept. We were on the 19th floor and our view was fabulous. The swimming pool is nothing compared to other pools on the strip, but the pool entrance is right off the elevator on the third floor. Most of the hotels in Vegas make you wander through the casino in your bathing attire before you reach the pool entrance. Not the Las Vegas Hilton!:) I plan on staying here again.

I had the NON pleasure of staying at the Las Vegas Hilton in April of this year. The only reason I stayed there was because I was with a large convention of nurses. The convention was awesome...the hotel was a nightmare! A LOOONG line to check in. Then when we finally got to the counter we were told that a non smoking room was NOT available then we were told that the room we were being placed in was only available for one night and that we would have to change rooms the next night. I was irate! I had made these reservations 5 months before my arrival. I was told that reservations "are not garaunteed!" Why make a friggin' reservation then?? Once I saw my room....it was supposed to be a triple??...ya...well it was a queen bed with 2 cots!! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! Since it was midnight we stayed...knowing we'd move the next night to another room. The next room was worse! We had 2 queen beds. Not enough towels. The snack fridge was missing in both rooms. The bathroom was dirty...the tub had hair in it. When we went to the desk to complain, at least 10 other nurses from the convention were at the desk complaining about their accomodations as well. I felt this hotel treated us mostly female nurses with MUCH disrespect...and treated the males arriving for another convention much better! The elevators were soooo slow...and one afternoon, I had a male person follow me to my 22nd floor room 3 different times, when I asked security to accompany me to my room, I was told that there are cameras in every hallway....nice to know that they can watch me when i'm getting robbed or raped!!! I spend 5 nights in this rude, dirty hotel and I couldn't wait for my convention to be over! I won NOTHING in the casino....and i mean NOTHING! I spend more than $700. on slots and don't think i won a dollar! I will never go back...and I think the 500 nurses who attended the convention all agree that the las vegas hilton is NOT a nice place to stay!

Very good visit at the Hilton July '03, thanks in large part to some of the comments on this site. $49 a night Sun - Wed was a great deal. Check in Sun afternoon was a breeze at 2pm and I was half-expecting a zoo with weekenders checking out, etc. As suggested on this site, I got a room in the North tower, and my odd-numbered room faced the golf course which was fine - I was here on biz and the Hilton was perfect and not distracting. Room was nice, newer, and large. Nice armoir for TV / clothes drawers, and the roman tub in the bathroom was a nice touch. (Note: not a lot of counter space in the bathroom). 2 phones in the room. Desk stretched the entire length of the wall, and electric drapes were another nice touch. Internet access on the TV was a great feature - $5.99 for 2 hrs or $9.99 for 24 hrs. Maid service was great (tipped $1 a day) and then I managed to lock myself out of the room on my last day. Within 3 minutes of notifying a maid, a security guard appeared and let me back into my room after asking all the right questions. Business center folks were nice too, and I sent and received faxes during my stay. They charge more to send a fax ($7) than receive one ($3 for a 2-pg fax).

Elevators: this was a problem in the North tower. After waiting almost FIFTEEN minutes for an elevator on my first day, I solved the problem by using the "glass elevator" at the North Tower entrance, which was near the parking structure. A side bonus to the glass elevator was that I avoided most of the crowds and casino noise, giving me that sense of 'home' when I returned after a night of shenanigans in Sin City. Aside from the 10 minutes I spent checking in I never saw the casino or heard a slot machine for my entire stay, which was nice.

Location: is convenient if you rent a car. If you rent a car, the location for LV Hilton becomes a '10' because of its easy access to Paradise, I-15, and the Strip. The LV monorail will be finished Jan '04 which will essentially make the Hilton a "strip property".

Pool: Pretty darn good. It's on the 3rd floor off those fast central tower elevators, and you also avoid traipsing around busy areas of the hotel showing off your swimwear. (If you've ever walked thru the shopping promenades at Bally's or Treasure Island to get to their pools you'll appreciate what I'm saying). The pool is a weird shape, but it's good sized and has wading areas for toddlers and people sitting in the wading areas sipping adult beverages. It looked like it got sun all day. The bar itself has a shaded sitting area and 'misters' to help keep you cool. Plenty of cabanas for rent, and the rental prices are a steal compared to the Strip.

The Hilton is an excellent choice for a wide range of people. Business folks, families, and couples all seem to mingle together nicely. I would definitely stay here again, and 'might' even choose it over my favorite place - Golden Nugget - because of the nicer pool area.

We paid $65/night on a Thurs and Fri. This included a $40 dining coupon and $10 match play coupon. The hotel has that old Vegas feel, a somewhat refreshing change from the mega-theme resorts. The rooms are very large but need to be updated. We stayed in the central tower and I have heard that the other towers have been renovated recently. The location is certainly a negative, however, with a rental car in no inconvenience. We would stay here again for what we paid compared to what the other hotels were charging on these dates.

I really enjoyed the LV Hilton on my last trip. I had never stayed there before and found the rooms to be large for the price range that they were in. The room had some extras that I thought were great, automatic drapes and two phones in each room. The room was comfortable, clean and large enough for two people to move around in with plenty of room left over. I will stay at the Hilton again.

Stayed at the Hilton last April and had ..for the most part, a very good experience. Airport check in, is wonderful - especially when you get into McCarran from JFK in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, we were given a room RIGHT NEXT to the elevators. This is bad because the elevators run constantly and its sounds like 747s continuously buzzing the hotel all night. This room had a great view of the golf course, but I called the front desk and complained about the noise, and the next day they switched us to a much nicer room. Since it was a convention week we had to wait until 6 to change our room but that was ok because my boyfriend was busy with the NAB Convention.

We had good meals at the Hilton - the first night we got there it was late and had a late supper in the Paradise Cafe - bf had 4.99 steak and eggs - who said you can't get good cheap food in Vegas? We also ate at the buffet for breakfast a few days and the food was fresh and the wait staff was friendly. I also found the staff in the shops and bars very friendly also - had a good sandwich from the restaurant near the Sports Book as well.

I do have to say the slots were tight for me...except at the Bar..:) When we checked out of the hotel the computers were down ;-) but they mailed us our reciept.

FYI: I booked my entire vacation thru Travelocity and had no problems at all - BUT ..if you book a Hilton property thru them, you DO NOT get Hilton Honours points, which is ridiculous since the room prices were competitive with other hotels on the strip for that convention week. Shame on you Hilton Honours.

With that said, I would stay at the Hilton again, and the Monorail will make the stay even better as it will save you from giving a lot of money to taxi cabs.

Thanks for reading.

I stayed at the LV Hilton only because I was invited to join some friends
who were staying for free (Hilton HHonors). Upon check in (5:30pm on a
Monday) I was told that they had no more non smoking rooms.
Unfortunately my room had been previously occupied by chain smokers
and my room was really bad. The room itself was pretty good but the
mattresses were pretty poor and the pillows were missing the fluff. Not
the best for a good night's sleep, especially combined with the stale
smoke that permeated the room.

This hotel is primarily a convention hotel and I'm sure their focus must be
directed towards the convention folks. It lacks the fun and energy of the
themed strip hotels but does its job for those on business. I had a car
throughout my stay and I am glad I did. It seems as though it would be
difficult and expensive to rely on cabs or public transit. Walking would be
tough and the route to the strip would be lackluster. A monorail is soon to
open and I hope that offers quick and safe travel to the strip.

I come to LV at least once a year for fun. I am so glad this wasn't my first
time or my first impression would not have been too good simply because
of this hotel. I shopped around for a good rate and got 125.00/night. Had I
had a choice in hotels I could have reserved a room at a much nicer hotel
for a better rate. Oh well, my focus was to see my friends and win some
money. I did well on both counts!

I booked hotel 6 months in advance, when I arrived the hotel was overbooked.
They tried to give me a rrom with 2 cots and no shower for the night, I refused. Then I was given a High Rollers room which was very nice, but I had to leave the next day because a VIP was arriving. Why a VIP would stay here is beyond me. So the next day I ws suppose to be moved to a new room which was to be an upgrade from the room I booked. Which Iwas paying $700 fro 5 days. Well I was moved and the roomm was terrible the bathroom tiles looked like they were about to fall off the walls. The so called renivated room wasn't very nice. Maybe I expected this hotel to be more like the Atlantic city hotel I stay at, I should have gone to Atlantic city. So I checked out and went to the Alladin for $379 for four days and loved it. The location is off the srip and the area is not as nice as the other end of the strip.

Great Hotel Great Location,

Visited here on the Feb 14th weekend, 2003 to get married and did. :) We loved the Hotel and outstanding service. People very freindly and helpful. This weekend was very busy in town as it was also Presidents weekend. We were glad to be slightly off the strip to get away from the crowds once in awhile. The strip trolly stops at the door, so we had no need for a car very convenient. Also used cabs (great to talk to the drivers, also helpful) and it will be great when the monorail is operational. Phoned down to get tickets for the Lonestar concert on the 14th. Recieved excellent tickets 9th row center. Great to have Lonestar play at your reception. The Buffet before the show was fantastic, special of free beer and wine on tap was included. Another great meal at the Paradise Cafe - Steak and pasta for $4.95 We were served a t - bone with all the fixins, was very suprized. Also had a breafast at the Main Street Station also excellent. I would like to thank all the staff at the Hilton from the slots to front desk to security for a great and wonderful event in my life. Especially to the security personel who helped us obtain a Lonestar poster on Sunday after the event, that were located in the corridors. It is being framed now with our tickets a wonderful souvenir for us. I will not hesitate to return for my aniversery.

The only negative thing about Vegas is the coffee - terrible coffee around town, you really need some Tim Horton's outlets. Even Starbucks was terrible. Finaly found a good coffee at the Caravelle while wondering along the canals at the Venetian. Would love to open up a Tim Hortons only need a 10 x 12 ft space at all the major properties and run them for you.

Again Thankyou staff

Tim and Luanne

I was in town for a meeting so I didn't have a choice but to stay here. The rooms and service was just what I would expect from Hilton - above average and very professional. I spent most of my time in meetings but once that was over I lived in the Superbook. Great drink service and I loved the mission control vibe of all the football and hockey games. I even recovered some of my lost sports bets on the Full Pay Jacks or Better VP machines that fill the back of the Superbook. Machine 914/06 was very kind to me.

The service was *awful*. We had to leave notes for the maids to leave towels and ice bags. The waiter in Quarks forgot about us and we had to chase him down to get our check and the rest of the meal. The food and the service in the Paradise Cafe were consistantly bad. Cold food and the servers were more interested in talking with one-another than they were in serving. The counter people at the slot club were also rude and got nasty if a guest did not understand what they had said.

The best place was Benihana! Great food and great service. Look for coupons to take some of the bite out of the high prices.

One of the slot bosses made a big deal about getting kids away from a slot machine for pictures. I was over 20 feet away and heard the entire exchange. The children should not have been at the slot machine but I should not have known about it.

Late arrival on Sunday night 9/30. Stayed for two nights. Have stayed here
before. Did the "Relaxing Retreat" package @$64/night. Two spa passes(I think
$18 per day, less if you buy multiple day packages), two
free dinner buffets (~$13 value), a Park Place Coupon book (some match play,
etc.) and a free 1/2 hour massage ($50 Value).

Got a room on the 6th floor Central Tower-must be one of the older rooms,ok
but definitely the worst I have ever had here. Didn't honor my request for a King. No electric curtains. Clean though.

Spa is ok for "free", this "freebie" is important to me, like to burn off
some of the free food/booze. Weightroom could be bigger, but it wasn't crowded.
Jacuzzi and steam rooms are good. Staff is friendly. The free massage was
great. I never had one before, Stefan was my massuese, highly recommend.

Buffet has been remodeled since my last stay. Food has definitely improved.
Ate one dinner and one lunch, pretty much the same menu.

Casino is ok. Everchanging like most places. Crowd tends to be middleaged,
convention types. Had some good luck on a basic 25cent VP machine with a Progressive Jackpot at the back of the Sportsbook. Drink service was adequate,
didn't seem to be many servers (or many under 50).

All in all , with there package deals, you can get a good room for a very
good price. I rent a car, so distance from other places not an issue.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel while he was in town on business. Having stayed
here in the past, I knew not to expect the over-the-top extravagance of the Strip hotels.
The rooms are nice and have good views of the Strip if you can get a room facing that
direction. Being a "bath person" I did not like the combination shower/bathtub. The
location is poor and it is a LONG trek to the south part of the Strip. Can't wait for the tram
to open!

We stayed at the Hilton for 3 nights from 8/17-8/20, and had a good visit. Unfortunately, we were placed in the tower that they have not remodeled yet. The room looked tired and dated, the bathroom tile was old, and the pillows were uncomfortable and lumpy. That said, the room was still nice - just not as nice as the other tower's rooms.

It is a fantastic value, though. We paid under $200 for a 3 night "Relaxing Retreat" package which included the room, 2 free buffet passes, 2 free passes to their Spa, 1 free half-hour massage, and a nice coupon booklet. We couldn't even touch that value by staying on the Strip- believe me, I looked!

I **highly** recommend a rental car, though. If you are staying for more than a couple of days, the price for cab fare will be almost as much as renting an economy car. We paid $58 (tax incl) for a car from Dollar rental for all 3 days, and were upgraded from an economy level to a convertible (!!) just because no one had taken the convertibles yet. Nice!

The casino is decent, but the slots are apparently tight. Cocktail service is okay, and the drinks are well-mixed.

I have stayed at the Hilton several times. Most of the room have been recently remodeled. Those that have not been remodeled will be soon. They have large windows and electric curtains. This is a grown up hotel. It has a sophisticated feel. They have treated me very well, send out some of the best free and cheap room offers in town. This resort has it all. Good food, good entertainment, three separate casino areas, and a great staff. Even the resturants have something for everyone. The buffet is good, the Mexican food and Chinese are excellent and for those who want first class the Steak house and Italian food is great. Comps get better with increased visits, but it takes three or four good stays with good levels of play to get established.

By replying to an offer received in the mail, we got our first two nights for $34.50 a night, then the remaining 3 nights at $75 a night, which included the night of July 4. Other hotels were charging premium prices for July 4, so we took up the offer. The reservation clerk said the offer was extended to us because we had played slots using a slot club card in a Park Place Hotel in Reno. (We recommend signing up for slot clubs and using your card every time you play, so you receive discount offers in the mail.)

Our first night was spent in a room in the older part of the hotel. We were disappointed with the hallways, which had shabby carpets with stains, definitely not up to our expectations for a Hilton hotel. The room was fairly nice, renovated, although dated. There was a shortage of outlets near the desk for the laptop computer, and only one phone jack, located between the beds and not near the desk. The room did have a high speed network hookup near the TV, available at extra charge. I had forgotten my network card for my laptop computer, so I didn't give it a try. The 27" TV did have a Web TV style keyboard with internet access at $5.99 for two hours or $9.99 a day. Access to the Hilton web site was free, so I gave it a try. It worked well, although the picture was fuzzy compared to a modern computer monitor or laptop screen. The keyboard had a built in mouse similar to a laptop built in mouse, a little awkward for me to use compared to a hand held mouse.

I used my laptop computer connected to the phone line, calling my ISP's local number in Las Vegas. The local call was $1.00. If I had run over 30 minutes, the charge would have been 10 cents a minute, which works out to $3.00 for the next 30 minutes. So, it may be less expensive to disconnect and call back if you run over the 30 minutes. I was able to get 50K connections through the Hilton's phone system. At other hotels, antiquated phone systems have not supported that high a speed.

We were in the room during the mid day, with 100+ degree weather outside, and the room became warm, despite a maximum cooling setting on the air conditioning. We called hotel maintenance and the engineer who came said that the air conditioner was running at full capacity and he could not improve it. We asked if other rooms in the hotel had better air conditioning. He said the north tower was newer and had good air conditioning. We called the front desk and got moved to the north tower at no extra charge.

The room in the north tower was more modern, with more outlets and phone jacks. There was a shelf under the window, with an outlet and phone jack for my computer. The air conditioning worked well. From our odd-numbered room, we overlooked a beautiful golf course. (Even numbered rooms faced the Strip.) On July 4, we viewed fireworks from our room. The first show we saw was in the Stratosphere direction, and, a few minutes later, we saw another show located somewhere near the golf course. We needed to crane our necks to see the Stratosphere fireworks, but had excellent viewing of the second show.

The north parking garage would have been a better place to view the fireworks, but we preferred not to be outside in the heat.

We could take the glass elevator down to our car in the north self-parking garage, a short walk from the hotel. However, during busy times, it was much faster to use the bank of elevators down the hall in the opposite direction.

The bar in the Star Trek area of the casino had built-in video poker machines and drinks were free as long as you played the machines. (Other casinos charge for drinks served at the bar, whether you play or not.) The drinks were normal bar size drinks, not the smaller ones the cocktail waitresses serve. Some of the machines were quarter machines and some were dollar machines. We played the quarter machines and used good "jacks or better" strategy to stretch out our money, and lost less money than what we would have spent to buy the drinks.

We recommend the Las Vegas Hilton if you can get a room in the north tower, get a good rate, and have a car (or are not interested in seeing other hotels on the Strip.) If you don't have a car, bus service and taxis to the Strip are available, but walking may not be practical. The Las Vegas Strip Trolley, a bus, stops at the Hilton and is much less expensive than a cab, but takes a roundabout route. If you have a car, many of the hotels on the strip have free parking garages. Drive to the higher levels where parking near the casino elevators is easier to find. We conveniently accessed the casinos of Treasure Island, Bellagio, MGM Grand, Luxor and Mandalay Bay from the garages.

A form letter in the room said 2000 of the 3000 rooms had been recently renovated. We don't know if our first room was an older room that had been recently renovated, but we suspect that it was. If so, we feel very sorry for the guests in the remaining 1000 rooms!

The machines are excellent and the staff is very friendly! I live in Vegas and it's the only casino I visit regularly!

Stayed two nights with the Star Trek package, which in addition to the room included admission to the Star Trek Experience and two meals in Quark's restaurant. Excellent value for $27 per person per night. The Star Trek Exp is fun but not worth the price of admission ($24.99). For free it's great. The meal in Quark's was decent, better than we expected. The Hilton is a good choice for anyone on a budget, and willing to stay a short distance off the strip. One suggestion: request a room in the North wing, which has been completely renovated. The rooms in the other two wings are showing their age. We had a room on the sixth floor with a strip view which was only two doors from the glass elevator. We could usually get from the room to the car in less than five minutes. Because of its location, the Hilton is not a good choice for those without a car,but for anyone else: Highly recommended!

Stayed in the deluxe room - which was very spacious and clean - however it could use some greenery to give it that warm feeling. View was fantastic overlooking the golf course. Everything was great from the spa to the pool to the buffets up intill the end. We checked out and waited for the bell hop to retrieve our bags from our room. My husband waited in our car out front for 30mins. while I waited in our room for the bell hop - he finally went to the bell desk and they stated they were on their way without even checking their computers to besure. As it turned out another 15 minutes went by before my husband asked an employee for some assistance and she noticed he had been sitting their for sometime and she asked what room and immediately took care of the problem herself and retrieved some cart and came to get our luggage. It was not one of the regular carts for luggage as it was a flat bed type. Thank you to whomever it was that helped us out and shame on the 2 women sitting and chatting at the bell desk not taking care of their guest and doing their jobs properly. It was too bad because up until that point everything else was great.

Our room jaded - murphy bed, door to next room not soundproof.

Request reconditioned part of hotel.

Casino, great. Buffet good. taxis always available but location makes them more expensive.

We were not told of the better rooms already reconditioned. Ladies in our group

not pleased at all with room. One had to switch.

Rooms were just wonderful. No round table on the side to work on like most hotels but a marble top shelf across the picture window to do whatever paper work necessary. I found the set up one of the best as I need the room to rate my sports and race book wagers. TV offered better channels than other hotels and beds were very comfortable. Room was extremely spacious and overall bathroom facilities were excellant.

The casino is a true casino environment...not a blue collar type envitonment as many casinos are. The shows were top quality and reasonably priced. The cocktail lounge offered great drink bargains daily from 5pm to 7pm with free finger food and entertainment. The sports book is the best in Las Vegas with 31 big screens and 1 gigantic screen. The location is off the strip at the end of Riviera and the strip is easily accessible either by walking (1 long block equal to approx. 4 regular blocks) or car. Cabs are lined up at all times and cannot cost much for the short trip to the strip.

Definitely recommended for the not too lazy people.

The registration staff members were all very friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze but their rooms (at least the one I stayed in) are in desperate need of a major make-over! Everything about the room was just runned down...from the beds to the restroom. The location of the hotel is not as bad as it seems because it's more convinient to take off strip routes to visit different casinos in the first place. The value of the rooms for it's location near the strip, though, gets a big plus (paid $99 for 2 nights; Friday and Saturday). But I don't think I'll be staying with them again.

Booked two rooms at the Las Vegas Hilton for January 25, 26 over the phone. Got a great rate of $22.25 per person (they call it the “Winter Escape Package” or something like that), per night, including Sheena Easton tickets, Star Trek Experience tickets, Park Place coupon book (including match-plays at the Flamingo, Bally’s, and the Hilton, plus food and shopping discounts) and a couple of other freebies.

CHECK-IN: Checked in on Friday, at noon. Very friendly check-in guy immediately gave us two rooms that met all of our requests (strip views, king beds, non-smoking, 1 high floor, 1 low floor). We were able to get in immediately, even though official check-in doesn’t begin until 3pm.
CHECK-OUT: Used fast, efficient TV check-out.
ROOMS: Both rooms were large, clean and quiet, with all of the basic amenities. Nothing extravagant but who really spends much time in their room in Las Vegas anyway?
FOOD: We used 2 for 1s at the LV Hilton Buffet. The selection was adequate and all of the food is tasty, but this is definitly not one of the town’s best buffets (my favorites are Bellagio, Paris, Rio), but you wouldn’t really expect it to be for the price ($13 for a champagne brunch). A nice little extra touch was that two of the buffet waitresses brought me a piece of cake and sang for me on the morning of my birthday.
CASINO: This is a very nice casino. It has all of the basic table games; blackjack has good rules, 3,4,5X on craps, and reasonable minimums ($5 BJ, $3 craps, $10 baccarat, higher during busy periods). The video poker selection is much better than I expected, with some full pay machines near the sports book. Drink service was very good. The sports book staff was also great. One of the best things about the Hilton’s casino is that the slots aren’t nearly as noisy as at some places. In most parts of this casino you don’t get driven crazy by the stupid Wheel of Fortune machines. The SpaceQuest Casino was a little disappointing as it was all slots and a few VP machines.
ENTERTAINMENT: Although it was very well performed, the Sheena Easton show was not really what I expected. If you have not seen a recent picture of her, bear in mind that the pictures posted all around town look nothing like what she looks like now. If you are a fan of hers, I’m sure that the show would be enjoyable though. She sang her hits and has a good band. Due to a lack of time we didn’t really get to see the Star Trek Experience properly, but it seemed pretty cool.

All things considered, the Hilton was a very nice place to stay, and was the best value of any Las Vegas casino I have visited. For a first time visitor who wants to see all of the sights of the central and southern strip the location leaves a little to be desired however, as it is about a 30 minute walk to the Treasure Island / Venetian, or a $10 cab fare to the Flamingo. If on the other hand, you plan on spending most of your time in the same resort, the Hilton is as good as any other that I have experienced in Las Vegas.

The casino is great; it is not too large but it is a lot of fun - especially space quest. The staff is very friendly. Rooms are comfortable but showing their age. The room decor is a little tattered. I would definitely stay here again, but I do suggest that it is time for guest room remodeling.

I was here for a convention, but rarely ate here. We did eat breakfast at the cafe and it was nice every morning, especially the fruit bowl. My room must have been recently remodled, because it was clean, nice, bright and new. The tv, bed and bath was fine. I didn't have a plug for the tub and it was immediately installed. I did have some key trouble, but getting help was a hassle, I just stood and ran the card 8 times. I thought the slots were tight, rarely won, but didn't play much anyway, but I found a couple machines at Star Trek that were fine. The wait staff was great, I never had to wait long for a free drink, even at the quarter machienes. I didn't take the trek ride again, did it before, but really was impressed when I did. I think this is one of the better casinos to take kids through because the paths for them were wide, efficient and clearly marked. This helps keep them from getting lost, confronted and annoying. I think I will go back.

When it comes to Conventions, stay clear from this hotel!!! I attended a convention this past July into August and this hotel could not handle a large group at all!! Because of time restraints, we needed to eat on the premises, however the eating places ran out of food, closed 4 hours (avg.) early and never was their an appoligy! The hotel even ran out of hot water during my stay...can you believe this?! I go to Las Vegas every year for the NASCAR races and I am fortunate to never stay at the Hilton!!!! Choose another Hotel for your own peace & mind!!!

This is probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in some pretty bad ones. Well, here it goes. Check-in was easy enough, but they didn't have the room that I requested in the north tower(the renovated one). All they had were rooms in the cetral tower which was not renovated yet. We agreed, thinking that we wouldn't be in the room that much anyway. We went to the Paradise Cafe first because it was late and we were hungry. We stood in line for about thirty minutes before we were seated, which was srange because we kept seeing people leave but nobody going in. We got to our table and the restaurant was empty! Why the wait?? All the wait staff looked confused and our waiter didn't get our order right until the third time. The food sucked too. Well, then we went up to the room. Boy, does this hotel need renovating! The hallways were long, dark and dirty...actual dirt on the walls! The carpets were even worse. Well, the room was spacious, had a great view and looked clean enough. But little did we know what was to come next. My friend lost her bracelet on the floor and we started looking for it. She went next to the bed and screamed! I walked over and I couldn't believe my eyes! It was a pile of SHIT!!! That's right folks...a big old pile of crap! We immediately went to the front desk and informed them of the situation. The lady at the front desk was horrified, probably more than we were. She said not to worry, she would put us in a suite in the north tower right away (funny how all of the sudden there was a room available). We went to the other room and that one wasn't much better either. Yes, it was renovated, but it was half the size of the previous room and it was dirty as well. I should have known by the hallway outside the room because there was trash all over the place and a bunch of dirty dishes... a party maybe the night before? Well, those dirty dishes were out there for three days! I couldn't believe it. I demanded my money back and the assistant manager said he could not do that because we made the reservations thru a travel company...I would have to take it up with them. I guess this absolves the hotel for crappy (literally) service and appalling conditions. Oh, and by the way, the pool was too small for this size hotel and it was full of kids urinating in it. My advice....stay away from this hotel....FAR AWAY!
