Date Visited: 07/02 - Good Visit
The rooms look like they have been remodeled recently, and were quite clean and good size. I have seen larger bathrooms but this one is adequate, with a bathtub/shower. Unlike the other hotels at this property, it is only four floors, and quite spread out. We didn't have reservations, and the front desk did tell us that the only non-smoking room was all the way at the end of the hall, and we were offered a smoking room that was closer. We opted for the non-smoking room, and it was quite a hike to the casino. For those that don't want to walk far, make reservations ahead of time, or opt for one of the other hotels on the property. I do wonder, though, why a non-smoking room had an ash tray in it?
We ate breakfast at the coffee shop, good food, good service, good prices. The Jackpot Special can't be beat, two eggs, hash browns, and toast for $1.95. The orange juice is fresh squeezed, and very good. Service is prompt and friendly.
Dinner was at the buffet. There is a variety of entrees, salad, fresh fruits, and desserts. The quality is high, hot food is hot, and cold food is cold. The casino is generous with buffet comps. The pit bosses used to just give out buffet coupons without even checking the points on your card, they're not quite that generous anymore.
The casino is more laid back than in Las Vegas, friendly employees and low table limits, at least during the week. The only problem I had was I asked the pit boss for coffee shop comps, he gave me a comp ticket folded around my card, when I looked at it, it was for the buffet. I can't really complain for free, but if I didn't have enough for the coffee shop, I would like to know and have the option of taking the buffet or not.
The location is not the best, it's in the middle of nowhere. They do make up for that by providing everything that you could need, an arcade, movie theater, roller coaster and other rides, or pool for the kids or an alternative to gambling, shops, and a shopping mall. For those of us coming from California though, it is a nice place about 50 miles closer than Las Vegas (it's right on the Nevada/California border).
Overall, a good visit, as usual for this property. One suggestion I would make for them is that the valet parking lot should be inside the parking structure, I don't like having everything in my car baking in the hot desert sun when there is a shaded structure they could put the car in.

We found Primmadonna to be clean and better ventilated than the other casinos. We were told this was the slow time of year so found the night life to be nonexistent but their up coming entertainers looked terrrific. The Italian restaurant in Wild Bills had excellent food and friendly service plus fun to watch the chef at work. Loved the dipping sauce.

Friendly enviroment, clean rooms. We stayed an extra night because of the rates!
