Should be renamed the "SEWER HOTEL"...We had 18 rooms booked this last week & NONE of us will walk into that place again. We had so many troubles I can't even name them all. I can see having a few problems but what we went through was pure hell. They are remodeling & every problem we complained about somehow was related to this according to the staff...they had an excuse for everything. They messed up our reservations, they gave our rooms away to other people, they checked people in & then moved them the next day, we had toilets getting clogged & they didn't send anyone up right away to fix them. One of the guest ran across the street & purchased a plunger themselves. The hallways smelled like someone went to the bathroom in them. One of the guest that checked in Sunday, had to move Monday because they were going to start remodeling that floor, then they had to move again Thursday because there was purple stuff backing up into their bath tub (3 moves in 5 nights). Oh I can go on & on......please people....think twice before staying here....the bums on the street sleep in better places than this, thought of going & getting a box with one of them. Never again will any of us stay there. Get this...with all the crap we went through...they are bringing people in to look into buying a time-share for this property. They are planning on building a tower behind the existing property for time-shares. I hope they all run when they smell the place. I could go on & on....but will save it for others in our party. Trish was the only staff member there that knew what she was doing....she needs to find a different hotel to manage because this place is a hole & she has some stupid people working under her. I think she can do better somewhere else. Run Trish Run!!!!!

This Hotel smelled so damn bad. We didn't have a phone book, coffee pot, or any ashtrays. We had to move twice in 4 days. I told one of the female workers that it smelled and all she could say is "yes it does doesn't it" The site for the Royal makes the rooms and everything look so nice. Don't let that fool ya cause it was a dump. We will never be back in that Hotel again and we will make damn sure we tell everyone not to stay there either cause it is a dump. It is a good thing you are building a new one and I hope that one doesn't smell that bad as the other one did. You can blame the smell all you want on remodeling, but that has nothing to do with the smell. To bad our first trip to Vegas we had to stay in a sewer smelling place. Please don't waste your money on rooms there.

I was a first time Vegas visitor going for a wedding. I booked my room FIVE MONTHS prior to my visit. When I arrived I was told that I would have to check out of my room the next day and check into a new one....due to remodeling. This didn't set well being I gave them plenty of notice I would be there for five nights. Anyway, I got settled into my room and upon using the restroom the toilet would not flush. I called down to the front desk and was told that maintence left at midnight and would be back in the morning...therefore my toilet wasn't going to get fixed that night. Thats just great, I didn't know I was going to have to be a plumber too. I had to find a place to buy a plunger in order to use the toilet. News flash to hotel management...PEOPLE PEE IN THE NIGHT TOO!! The next morning when I went to check out, just to check back in again.......I told them I want another room now, my toilet hasn't flushed all night and nobody has made an attempt to fix it. Mind you this is at 11AM the next day. All I was told is that none of the empty rooms are cleaned yet so we don't have a place to put you right now. They did send maintence up then, but my thoughts were too little too late. Finally, I got into my new room......not any better. My balcony was about a foot wide....you couldn't even stand out on it. It was so clustered that I could barely walk thru it. There were also no ashtrays or phonebooks. When asked, the frontdesk said we don't put these in the rooms because people steal them. Another news flash...some people actually use them. I was with a party that had booked about 18 rooms and none of us were anywhere near each other. We had to jump around from floor to floor which was no picnic since EVERY FLOOR SMELLED LIKE SEWER!!! All this was blamed on remodeling...I understand remodeling, but there was no care or concern by the staff in regards to our needs. I had dealt with Trish on the phone in regards to reservations and she was very polite and helpful. One person in our party asked to talk to Trish in regards to the number of problems we were having and they were told "Oh no, there is no need to bring Trish into this..." Well, if you ask anybody in my party, there was a BIG NEED to bring Trish into it. I nor anyone else in my party will ever stay at The Royal Dump ever again. Let this be a warning to you all !!!

I too was one of the group of 18 rooms for the wedding in October and can also tell you that I was very disappointed with this establishment. We did not get moved around like half of our party but I was informed on the phone that we would be in a suite. Well, there was nothing "suite" about it. The only difference from the regular rooms was the fact that it had a small refrigerator and a microwave. But no coffee pot. This motel is in LAS VEGAS -THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS!!! Do they not understand that when you are up all night (at the other casinos because this place doesn't even have a casino) you might need some strong coffee to wake up!?!? Another complaint of mine was the morons that work at this place. Trish was wonderful through the whole thing but everyone else sucks. My parents have had a time share with the Royal for more than two years. When they called a few months before our trip they were told that they had to book their room a year in advance. What the hell is that!?!? How many people know a year ahead of time that they are going to go somewhere? When I talked to one of the time share ladies, I asked her about it she said she had no idea why they were told that. Okay, if the staff and the time share people can't get their s*#t together how can they run the business. The floor I stayed on did not smell like a sewer but my friend and my aunt were on two different floors and as soon as you got off the elevator the stench of sewer was overwhelming. Needless to say we all had a great time in Vegas even though we were all disappointed with our stay at the Royal. Not one of us has any desire to stay at the Royal ever again.

Stayed at the Royal Resort hotel July 22-25. This is like the "Bates" motel. Had Room #710. When they call and sell you the $199 3-night vacation package the salesperson tells you that the rooms have been remodeled--NOT TRUE. The carpeting was very old, threadbare and heavily stained. The balcony strip view was great and I enjoyed the balcony but there was a cigarette but left from the previous guest. The bathtub/shower is old, the rooms do have hairdryers but there is no in-room safe. I also felt Security was non-existent at this property since I only saw the Security Guard during the day and it appeared as if he were not doing a very good job. I went to the pool on Thursday afternoon (e.g., the pool area is actually very nice) and while I was there a man entered the pool area from the parking garage, entered the cabana nearest the parking garage and proceded to take off his trousers and shirt and change into his swimsuit right there with the cabana drapes open! He appeared not to be a hotel guest and stayed there for about 2 hours. Had some other guests not immediately appeared I would have been scared and I was afraid to use the poolside restrooms in case this man was a rapist or something.
Also, the parking lot area is very dark at night and there were very few guests there during the week.

Rooms weren't that great but the casino was cheap to play in. Lots of Beer specials and friendliest dealers in town for my money. Great place to learn the games with low table-limits. The location can't be beat as well.

I found that this hotel wasnt picture perfect but when i plan trips to las vegas im not really in my room im out checking the casinos , gambling , and i really try not to go to the room till bed time
