Got good room rate through internet, $39.99 a night Sunday - Thursday. There is an additional mandatory $4.95 a night room surcharge. This fee allows you to use the airport shuttle, exercise room, and unlimited local telephone calls. Although we have visited Sunset Station in the past, this was our first stay at the property. We were happy with the rooms. They were clean and well maintained. We liked the casino in the past and this is the main reason we stayed here. Casino is large and well ventilated. Good selection of VP machines. Buffet has gone down hill in food quality over the last few years as have many of the Las Vegas buffets. Parking garage is poorly located on other side of casino, which is the opposite side of the hotel. There is a medium walk from the room elevators to the casino. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

I have stayed at Sunset Station many times over the last two years. The food court, the movie theater and the arcade are some of the best features. The rooms are clean, you don't have to walk through the casino to get to the rooms and the nearby shopping make this a great place for the family. All in all, if you don't absolutely have to stay on the Strip or Downtown, this is a great location.

Sunset Staton......not a very good location. But the service in this place could have been a lot better. The bellhops were young kids who acted unprofessional, and it seems we had to wait a long time for them. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I got the credit card statement, and found out this place double-charged our room. I called the main (702) number and got some snotty bitch on the phone who said their systems were down all day. she was quite unhelpful. I told her I'd dispute THEIR erroneous charge with my credit card company. Terrible terrible service! Does this place hire their "help" off the street, or what?!?!?!

I stayed at the Sunset Station primarily to escape the hustle/bustle of the LV Strip. The rates were no lower than the hotels on the Strip; the room was comfortable & the restaurants were good. However, I was quite disappointed in the service - especially the bell service. When I checked in, the bell person came right to my car to pick up my luggage, but I was up in my room & had to wait about 15 minutes before he showed up with my luggage on the cart. Checking out was even worse. I called for bell service, and after waiting almost a half hour & nobody showed up, I had to lug all my baggage down to the car myself. Thanks a lot!!!

I was also looking forward to trying out the pool, but was very disappointed to find out it was closed. I can't understand this. So what if it was March - the pool should be open 365 days of the year. I felt like I paid good money for only a mediocre stay at this hotel. Never again. Next time I'm in Las Vegas, I'll stay somewhere on the Strip for better service - hopefully.

My wife and I visited this casino on March 23-26, 2003. When we arrived and began gambling, we noticed all of our Boarding Pass Points tha we had built up over 4-5 years had been deleated. I guess if you don't go to the station casinos every year they erase your points. NO PROBLEM we spent our $$$$$$ eating and gambling on the STRIP and off Strip NON STATION CASIONOS.

Stayed 3 nights leading up to Christmas day. Had a bit of a problem securing a third-party online reservation, a few minutes with the head of Station Casino's reservation department cleared it up. The room was comfortable, TV was small (19") but they had pay-per-view movies and even online internet service through the TV for $6 per 2 hours (this was new to me, kinda cool!)

The bathroom was fair in size, but since I'm 6'4" and 330 lbs. it takes a REALLY good size bathroom to impress me. The shower head was mounted so that my nipples got a thorough cleaning <wink> The bed was comfortable, and the elevators were zippy. We got a great rate through Travelaxe ($29.00) and at that price I was willing to put up with the fact it was a 15 minute drive downtown via Hwy 95 (30 minutes if it's crowded.)

I was considerably dissappointed to find they had no Let-it-ride slots anywhere (and believe me, I scoured the building!) and no full pay (9/6) VP. They had $5 minimums on most table games, which I found interesting because there wasn't that much action late at night, Golden Gate almost always has a $3 Let-it-ride table after 10 on weeknights!

The buffet was great as usual, we'd had it before and it didn't dissappoint. The Regal cinema was very nice (we saw the Two Towers) be forwarned though, the Regal is very anal about their employees following "the script", so let the ticket taker finish his shpiel before you move away (gawd that routine must get old for them!) you'll understand what I'm talking about if you go to a movie there!

Overall, it was a nice visit. The rooms are a bit of a hike from the casino and the Krispy Kreme. Most of the bars have $1 VP, except for the one that looks into Club Madrid that one is two bits. The people are very friendly and I would heartily recommend the Sunset Station.

We've stayed here a couple of times this year and have enjoyed each time. They have the best Oyster Bar and we eat here EVERY time! The decor is great and blackjack dealers are pretty cool. They have great movie theaters and a very large childcare center (we have a 5 year-old). Will definately stay here again.

We stayed at Sunset Station for 7 nights and found it to be a nice place. Rooms were decent size, clean and although not very fancy were nice. We ate at the Buffet and found it good each time. We also ate at the Capri and had an exellent meal. Several other places to eat and all seemed good. Casino is large and well set up. Nice Pool. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly.

One of the best hotel casinos in the LV area. Terrific rooms, beautiful casino, great staff. A true off-strip gem! The only thing it is missing is a spa.

Stayed at Sunset Station for March 30 to April 4 and found this to be a first rate facility. The rooms were clean and spacious, and not that far from the casino compared to many strip hotels. I've read a number of complaints about the distance but since we were on the top floor at the opposite end from the elevators I don't think you could get much further from the casino. It was less than a five minute leasurly walk which isn't too bad by any standards.

The meals in both the cafe and at the buffet were great and the prices were right too. All of the staff including the front desk, casino and housekeeping staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. The doors by the elevators make it really convenient for parking and accessing the rooms. I read a complaint from some lazy ass that he had to "drag" the luggage to the car from the room since the bell service didn't show up. Makes me wonder how tough it is to move a few suitcases down the hall, ride the elevator down, and drag the luggage again the 50 feet or so to the parking lot? Maybe should get some wheels installed under them bags!

We've stayed on the strip the last couple of times in Vegas and won't bother again after finding Sunset Station. The rooms are bigger & cleaner, the staff friendlier, and food better without getting raped every time you reach in your pocket to pay. I don't remember seeing $4.99, $6.99 and $8.99 buffet prices on the strip too many times over the past few years. If you want the glitz and glamour of the strip it's only a 15 minute drive away, and more importantly only 15 minutes to escape again. Try this place for sure, you won't be disappointed.
