For a better price, stay at the Rio or the Venetian. Both of these other properties have the better service and larger rooms that the Bellagio is supposed to have but without the snobby attitude.

Had pre-paid Lakeview room through expedia dot com. Was dressed kind of scroungy after tough day of travel, didn't know how I would be treated. Walked up to the desk (no line, but 10PM) Greeted with a smile and a quick confirmation of our reservations. I mentioned that it was our honeymoon, and was congraduated on it. A quick phone call, and the clerk stated that our room was indeed prepaid, including taxes and was a lakeview. But because things were slow (We were staying Mon thru Thursday nite) They had a differant room for us in honor of our occasion. Put us in a Penthouse suite for the entire time, 2.5 Baths, 4 TVs, just gorgeous. No, I didn't use the $20 trick. Room was great, Fountains unbelievable. Super quiet. Room Service screwed up the first night, was 25 minutes late-apologized profusely, and gave us a free desert that was to die for. Everyone was very nice the entire stay. The Buffett was great. Didn't win much in the Casino, but I didn't play much either.

In my opinion - the Bellagio is the nicest Hotel/Casino in Vegas. We had dinner at Picasso and it was so nice - enjoying everything - while watching the water shows throughout the evening. First class in my book.

This was my third time in Vegas, and our first stay at the Bellagio, and we were not dissapointed! The Bellagio's rooms were very nicey done, and the bed was very comfortable (this has been a problem on our two other visits), the room was well appointed, and the bathroom was the biggest yet we have seen out there. It was first class all the way. I heard no noise from any other room at all. Not so much as a sneeze, so no problems being keep up by your neighbors. The food there was expense (too expense) so we ate elsewhere. The only knock on the hotel is the casino. If you like playing table games with higher limits you will fit right in, me I am not so brave, so we played alot at Paris, NY NY, and Luxor. If you have alittle extra money and want to stay at a very nice hotel this is a great choice. If you are going with kids or on a tight buget you may be happier at one of the sister properties.

Bad visit right from the start. Upon entering the parking garage, I was greeted by someone who screamed at me, "Open your goddamn trunk!" OK, I don't deserve that kind of treatment and I realize management wouldn't either but this is absolutely inexcusable for a hotel of this caliber. I was so upset by this incident that I booked my stay at a different hotel. Bellagio is certainly no longer the crown jewel of LV. Steve Wynn would cry if he read about this.

I recently visited for a business conference, and the Bellagio is without a doubt the crown jewel of Las Vegas. The casino, guest rooms, and overall ambience have spoiled me for all other hotels. I highly recommend the Bellagio for anyone who wants to feel like royalty on vacation!

We returned to Bellagio for our second time in August to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversay and we're going back again in a few months. Just can't seem to stay away. We step foot in that lobby, and we're immediately transformed and in vacation mode. The hotel is so elegant and beautifully maintained. The rooms are also tastefully decorated, clean and very comfortable. The only problem was we could hear the construction going on which was a little troubling and lasted from 9 am - 9 pm everyday -- hope we don't have that again this upcoming trip (they did offer to move us, but we declined). All in all, Bellagio is sheer elegance, service and atmosphere. It's not as busy as many of the other hotels on the strip, and we always feel just great being there. When we think of Vegas, we think of Bellagio!

Stayed here for the second time this year, I'm pleased to report our experience is consistent. The service is top-drawer, the rooms are clean and quiet and the beds are absolutely to die for. The dining options are world-class and very expensive, but you get what you pay for. I strongly recommend Bellagio.

Lake view room was great. Great service as well. I didn't want to wait in line for a hour for my Sunday Brunch, conciege people gave us a line pass so we didn't have to wait at all. Decided to see "O" but told it was sold out but conciege people came to the rescue again... and got us a very good seats. I'd definitely stay there again.

The rooms were lovely. Service was comparable to the Four Seasons despite the enormous number of rooms. Fountain show as seen from our rooms added a lot of value to our stay. The view of the show from our room was much better than the view from the strip. While the pools were a little on the quiet side, our children (12 and 7) enjoyed the hotel. The conservatory was worth the time even if it was a little crowded.

If there is such a thing as a dignified Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas, Bellagio fits the bill. I have stayed at least once a year for the past 3 or 4 years, and I have never had a bad overall experience, although I have had episodes similar to some described by those who are negative about the hotel, specifically with the front desk personnel.
The Bellagio is not for everyone. I wouldn't schedule a bachelorette party there. It isn't a party atmosphere except maybe in the clubs. I like a quieter casino, that is open and airy, plays nice soft music and doesn't assault the senses as does for example the new version of the Rio. The vast majority of the staff, whether at the Players Club desk, the tables, the change booths, the floor people, even security, are friendly but not overbearing or phony. Cocktail service is the best in a casino that I have seen. Also great experience with the valet, bell staff, housekeeping and most of the wait staff. I have run across front desk clerks who are snooty and unhelpful, but not often. The rooms are not flashy. Hooray! Beds are extremely comfortable and the bathroom well-appointed. The food at every restaurant I've tried is pricey but uniformly delicious. Most of my visits to the spa have been great. This is my favorite hotel anywhere by far.
Downside is that I do like a bargain, and I like a nice view from my room. Very hard to get either at the Bellagio. I have been a slot club member for years and they used to send me some great special member weekend event packages but I guess I lost my rating, although I don't know how. I get a comp about once a year in the summer which I use, but they will never, never upgrade me to a view. I am no high roller but I play a lot, and I belong to other slot clubs with much better offers for the same level of play. Contrary to popular belief though, I do find their video poker to be pretty good as compared to the other high end hotels on and off the strip. Maybe I've just been lucky so far, but I do better at the Bellagio then a lot of other hotels known for looser slots. Don't miss the Grey Goose Vodka Martini with Blue Cheese stuff olives...

Great stay! The Bellagio is first class. The pool area is spectacular and the rooms are excellent. This is the third stay at Bellagio and already looking forward to the fourth. Gaming is fair - but the beverage service is outstanding. If you have the chance to stay at Bellagio - Take It!!!

I have not been to Vegas in 6 years and it has changed immensely. The Bellagio is a very nice upscale hotel located on a perfect place on the strip close to many other popular hotels. But I felt it was more for the older, richer, caviar type of clientele, there were literally no children to be found anywhere which the hotel makes a point of that being the case. We were too young for this establishment at early thirties. It wasn't a "fun" resort to be at say compared to the Aladdin or New York New York. The restuarants, lounges, and shoppes were quite expensive although I loved what the buffet had to offer and we ate there twice. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable with great daily service. The casino was quite empty most of the time compared to the other hotels. If you have a lot of money and want peace and quiet and just to lounge by the pool(s), which are breathtaking by the way, this may be just the place for you. If you are younger and want to be with a livlier crowd within your age range and have some fun and people to socialize with then perhaps you are better off to stay basically anywhere BUT the Bellagio or Venetian. As well if you want to be low key (being from Canada we recognized quite a few NHL players there with us who said they loved staying there because nobody knew who they were for example) then this is the place for you. All in all it was a good visit just not particularly what I was looking for that weekend.I will stay there again it's just that it won't be for another say 20 years or so until I "grow in it". This is a gorgeous hotel! The lobby is breathtaking and the service, wonderful. We had a fabulous time. The rooms are attractive but not huge but the bathrooms are heavenly. The food at the buffet was fantastic and the lines were not long. The drinks were expensive at the bars but the atmosphere was devine. Outside overlooking the fountains having a drink was a wonderful way to unwind. All in all, a very pleasant experience. I would recommend Bellagio to anyone.

We stayed at the bellagio over Easter break. We checked in at 8:30 in the morning (with no wait) asked for a fountain upgrade and received it at no charge. Our front desk clerk was the friendliest ever (we've stayed at 10 different vegas hotels). Our room was above and beyond all others. We stayed in suites that were not as nice. The soaking tub and stone work in the bathroom was awesome. I am a poker player at the low limit tables (1-5 or 4-8) and received forty dollars off the already discounted room rate (120 a night) and free buffet coupons. My husband played $25 to $50 a hand blackjack for 2 hours and hours of quarter slots and received $50 toward food. I had a massage at the spa, which is the best spa I have ever been to (I have been to over 15). The pool area is to die for. The buffet is unbelievable. We ate lunch and the shrimp were peeled and huge. We had offers for free rooms all over las vegas and this room was worth the expense.

We have stayed in many strip hotels on previous visits to Vegas, this was by far the best. It is hard to fault this hotel, check in was fast (compared to Mandalay Bay and MGM), staff are excellent, rooms are well equiped with nice bathrooms (toiletries could be better), fabulous views of the strip and the fountains, good restaurants, very beautiful pool area, nice casino and good spa (Mandalay Bay is better!) it was an excellent stay.

Didn't stay at the Bellagio, but visited it twice...the service at the bars is
outstanding...they even gave us a free mai tai when my lady friend spilled
her. Dancing is good too. Things are quite expensive compared to the
Downtown/Boulder Strip casinos we were used to, but the help was quite
friendly and I even won a little money playing video poker. Altogether, I was
pleased.

We thought we were big time when we booked our reservations at this upscale hotel. We had read so much about what a classy place it was. Well we weren't impressed at all. The rooms were average...no different than a Hilton or Sheraton. The bathroom was the only thing we were impressed with. The carpet was stained in places all over the room and the TV wasn't working properly. We had stayed at the Mirage the week before but needed to transfer over to the Bellagio after 10 days because they were booked. This hotel can't even compare to the Mirage. The rooms are almost identical, except for the bathrooms (the mirage has very small bathrooms) and the cost was substantially higher. Here's our biggest beef....the service. We waited in line to check in and then the snobby clerk told ran us through like we were low class. We found the entire staff to be snobby and uppity. The lines were long for the buffet...sometimes an hour long. We never found any warm and friendly greeting like we found at the Mirage where we were treated like royalty. I had emailed the Bellagio and told them that this was my husband's birthday present and they said they would add it to the notes and acknowledge his birthday in some special way. NEVER HAPPENED. We asked for a fountain view and the clerk just replied, "not possible." We asked for a room near an elevator...."not possible." How about an upgrade...."nope...not possible." I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.....way over priced for what you get. By the way, I called home to check on things and talked 3 minutes. The Bellagio charged me $30.00 for that call. Be careful.

We were in Las Vegas to get married and my work wanted to buy tickets to O. They had to purchase gift certificates (which they were told were refundable if there was a problem booking tickets). The show was sold out for the week we were there. When my boss tried to cancel the tickets she was told she couldnt do that. My husband and I went to pick up the gift certificates and they were lost. We got told by the first concierge that it was his shift change (after he helped us for about 15 mins) and he just pointed to another concierge to finish with us. She asked us if we were guests of the hotel. ( we were not) she left us standing there for 45 mins while she helped the guests of the establishment. She lied to the business office and then finally found our certificates. We took 1.5 hours out of our day just to get gift certificates. When we complained to the players club (which a pit boss told us to do) they said the manager of the consierge desk was the same girl that was rude at the business office.
We were treated rudely and like trailer trash. I will NEVER step foot in that low class snobby place agian. Go to any other hotel on the strip if you want to be treated like a human being.

My wife and I were in Vegas to get married. Her employer was going to buy us tickets to see "O". They were told that when the tickets were bought, they had to be in the form of gift certificates due to the fact that the credit card was not in our name. When my wife's boss called back to confirm show dates, we were informed that the show was sold out for the night that we were available to see the show. She was then told that she could not get her money back for the gift certificates because they had recently changed their policy. We were advised by Nikki in the business office to get the gift certificates from the consierge desk and take them to the gift shop and buy a pack of gum and we could get the money back. When we got to the Bellagio to get the gift certificates, we were greated by a consierge by the name of Richard. He asked what name the gift certificates were under. We were told that they were unable to locate them. After searching for 15 minutes, a consierge named Robyn came on duty and then Richard asked her to help us because it was the end of his shift. He then proceeded to leave. Robyn then came to us and asked what name the gift certificates were under. We told her that they were under my wife's name. She then asked us if we were guests at the hotel. We told her we weren't. She then said she would be right back and proceeded to assist another customer. After 45 minutes, she decided to come back and assist us. She then called the business office and spoke with Nikki. She told Nikki that she asked us if the certificates were under my name, which she never did. When my wife told Robyn that she never asked that question, her response was "Well, I meant to." We then finally got the certificates after about a wait that a customer or a non-customer should have to go through. We then proceeded to talk to a players club representative who tried to connect us to the head of the consierge department. The person who we spoke to was Nikki, who previously had not been able to help us. The entire experience was one I would never wish on my worst enemy. The entire staff at the Bellagio was snobbish, treated us like trash and acted as if they were better than we were. I would never recommend this piece of garbage hotel to anyone. I would rather stay at a hotel that rents rooms by the hour than stay at the Bellagio.

Perfection! We got a good promotional rate that came with a lakeside view of the fountains. Breathtaking! Jimmy Hopper gave new meaning to lounge acts. The casino has great ventilation. The whole staff was friendly, even to low-rollers like us. Can't wait to go back!!

We didn't stay here but loved the casino. We won a couple of hand pays, and the attentants were there PDQ. Drink service was exellent. Hope to stay here on our next trip.

I stayed at the Bellagio during my last trip to Vegas.It is a 1st. class resort.Our check in was just the way anyone would want it. The check in clerk was polite and friendly.We wanted a room up high looking towards Caesars and we got it.The room was very nice and had good maid service.We always returned to a clean and well stocked room.The casino is one of the best.It's classy,cheerful and has it all. I liked the video poker selections they had and I went home with some money because of them.The casino drinks are well made,the waitresses did a good job and they were always polite. We ate at several of their restaurants and they were all good. I just wish they had more less expensive places to eat. I found myself heading down to New York-New York,the Monte Carlo... to eat a number of times. Nobody wants to spend big money on every meal.We were there for six days.Check out was fast and efficient. All and all,the Bellagio is one of Vegas' best.

Just returned from a three night stay at the Bellagio. I have read all the previous reviews on this site and agree with most reviews... including the negative ones. I found the staff very friendly (maids greeting you) and the front desk and conceigre very helpful. Ate at three of the restaurants (Palio, Olives, Cafe Bellagio and Fontana Bar) and the food at all were EXCELLENT in terms of quality, taste and presentation. The casino was great and the slots paid out a lot (noticed several people around me winning $500, $600 and even $2400. The complimentary drinks (anything and everything you wanted and of excellent quality) were steady. We toured EVERY major hotel on the strip and the Bellagio, by far, appears to be the BEST hotel in Las Vegas. Because of the time of year (winter) we didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool which looked lovely. We didn't get a room with a view of the fountains but had one looking over Caesar's Palace and the Strip on the 22nd floor. Nice view regardless. We, too, found the carpets and towels to be a bit worn which was disconcerting since it's a high end hotel. One night we didn't get turndown service either. My biggest complaint about the hotel is that for each floor there is only one ice/vending machine room (which can be far since each of the three wings is long). And that the drink machines were completely sold out and weren't restocked for the couple of days I went looking for a beverage. We also liked the big bathroom with stand alone shower and non fogging mirrors. The hair dryer and iron/board were nice too and the in-room safe was great. As far as I'm concerned, the Bellagio is the only place to stay, gamble and eat in Las Vegas! Planning my next visit already and will try more of their restaurants and the spa. I will request a fountain room to put the icing on the Bellagio cake!!!

During our trip to LV in December 02, we stayed Downtoan for the majority of the trip, but splurged on a night in a suite at Bellagio's. it was pricey, but well worth the money.
We had room 36008, which is on the top floor and facing the lake.
The view was outstanding and the room was a dream - If I had more than one night in this hotel then I would have been in heaven.
2.5 bathrooms, one with a shower/steam room, one with a jacuzzi tub. TV's in all rooms (even the bathrooms), remote controlled drapes and comfortable furnishings.
The view was a dream - very high up so the fountain view was perfect and we could see from MGM all the way to Downtown.
The hotel staff could not have been more helpful or well mannered. Hand Pays in the casino were lightning fast. Cafe Bellagio serves wonderful food. We alternated our time at the hotel in the casino playing the very loose slots and rushing back up to the room to catch some fountain shows.
I will definitely make a point of booking a night of luxury at this hotel every time I am LV.
I have been a long time fan of this hotel, and have wanted to stay here for a long time. Staying here cemented my opinion that it is one of the best hotels in the world. Visiting it in passing is one thing, but staying brings a whole new dimension, and appreciation. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone who worked there, and we were made to feel exceptionally welcome.
It's not the cheapest place in LV by a long shot - My one nights stay was 4 times the price I paid for my whole stay (9 nights at the Las vegas Club 6 nights comped 3 nights @casino rate of 30 a night), but I would stay again in a heartbeat, and to stay in a suite again would be a dream come true.
You will be impressed.

Let me start by saying that I had the opportunity to stay at the Bellagio for free. (Business trip) So I cannot complain one bit about the stay. However, I don't think I would ever pay to stay at this hotel. With the exception of the beautiful casino floor, the Bellagio wasn't as "over the top" extravigant as I expected. Don't get me wrong, the Bellagio is a top tier hotel that rivals many hotels worldwide, I just don't know that if it were my money that it would be worth the price of entry just to tell my friends back home that I stayed at the Bellagio. My wife did require an unexpected trip to the doctor while we were there and the concierge was very helpful in locating a good doctor. I am not a high roller by any imagination, so I was surprised that the pit bosses seemed to appreciate my $25 a hand blackjack play. (it usually takes alot more than that to get noticed at some of the other nice hotels on the strip) All in all a great hotel but there are other hotels on the strip (Treasure Island and Luxor) that are a much better value with the same type of amenities.

We stayed here in October 2000 in two connecting rooms overlooking the fountains and were impressed with our stay. This time it was a special family occasion so we booked a two bedroom Grand Suite on the 32nd floor. ( for three adults ) This consisted of a lounge, ( which is in the curved centre section of the hotel with six windows overlooking the fountains) two bedrooms which each had two bathrooms including a jucuzzi and shower in each bathroom, Including the toilet at the entrance to the suite that made 4-1/2 bathrooms. A full size bar and wet bar with refreshments, an audio video setup, motorised nets and drapes, motorised TVs which rose out of plinths in the lounge and both bedrooms. The bonus was the use of the VIP facilities which included coffee & food in the VIP area, line passes for the restaurants and shows, and the (unused) lime service to and from the airport. Everything here was excellent. I suppose all of this was to be expected at the price of $1725 per night ! We will probably never stay in a suite this expensive again but it is the benchmark for any other hotels we ever stay in.

My family goes to the Bellagio about 4 times a year. Those who have bad visits do not understand how hotel systems work. Once we signed up with the slot club, we received a slot hostess. Ours is Michele Rebar, she is awesome. Everytime I call she totally accomadates our needs. Our last visit was for our anniversary. We arrived early am, went to the invited guest window. We registered immediately with a congratulation comment from the counter person. We went to our room where A complimentary bottle of sparkling cider and strawberries were waiting. On the second day we received a free Bellagio CD and a box of gourmet chocolates. I never asked for anything. On my other visits, my granddaughter is always pampered by the waiters at the cafe and pool attendants. People need to remember, you get what you pay for. If you are planning to go cheap, don't go to the Bellagio. I am a medium spender with gambling and I almost always get everything comped.

Finally did stay here well worth it no matter what you pay. The rooms are just wonderful the service tops. For a fancy hotel there are a lot of nickle machines. The service in the casino is currently the best on the strip. We have played here on other trips and will continue to play here, we just like this place. This is a definite stop on the next trip to LV.
I didn't see a place to rate the "CAFE" located in the batanical gardens, very nice place to eat. It is a little pricey (Ruben sandwich with frys $10) but the food and service is excellent, well worth the extra $.

Did a 3 night stay at Bellagio. Loved this property- it was everything I expected and more. Had a fast check-in around 3 PM. My bags took an hour to get to the room, but that was the only bad service we received. Rooms are a solid size- not Venetian size or quality but still nice. Loved the bathrooms. Room even had a CD player, which is always a bonus. Had a lakeview room on 21st floor- fountains are great at night. Window isn't very big though, unfortunately. The pools are pretty too, and not very crowded. Went to the nightclub Light, which was a blast, and also visited the Bellagio Spa, which was luxurious. Also, location on the Strip is excellent. If you can afford it, stay here.

Bellagio is a beautiful place with the smell of flowers as you enter. The architechture and the decor are stunning to say the least. The restaurants are very good to excellent and the casino is more than adequate. There is a problem, however. While Bellagio is among the most expensive hotels in Las Vegas, the rooms are just average. In fact I have stayed in 4 hotels in my 7 visits to Vegas over the past 3 years and Bellagio ranks only 3rd. The maid service was very late getting to the room. At one point, my wife and I wanted to swim at 4 pm so we needed to change into our bathing suits. We got to our room only to find the maid still there. We had no time to enjoy our swim by the time she left. For a hotel of that type, that is unacceptable. We stayed 5 nights and the maid was late 4 of them. In fact one night the bed was not turned down until after 10 PM! Just a couple of other notes: When we arrived, we noticed pulls in the carpet which looked like it needed cleaning anyway, there was no room service menu and the note pad was all torn apart and obviously was not changed since the previous occupant of the room. Before you spend the money on this hotel, realize that the room is no better than average. Yes, the bathrooms are big, but how much time will you actually spend there? It's a good hotel (not great), but for less money you can do better somewhere else. Just because a movie or two was filmed there doesn't make it good.

Ive stayed at Bellagio 4 times and think it is the best. Every other time ive stayed in a regular room and they have been great. Sometimes you have to wait a bit to get a room and lake view is never fully guarenteed, you can request it but it is not for sure. In a week im going to be going back and staying in a penthouse suite, im sure it will be great. Although the hotel is very expensive I love it over the other hotels ive stayed at (MGM Grand and Venetian).

We stayed at the Bellagio three nights and we enjoyed our stay very much. The room was nice and the bathroom was large and well appointed. We had a view of the lake and it was wonderful to watch the "water shows" from the 23rd floor.
The check-in process took about 20 minutes (probably due to our noon arrival time), but the staff was ver courtious and helpful.
The casino is a couple of notches above most of the casinos in Las Vegas, however the table limits are high and the payout on the video poker is low. It is great to have the video poker and slot games laid out in such an orderly manner! We especially loved how the other people in the casino were well dressed and mostly well-behaved.
We had breakfast at the Palio. The coffee was very good and the bran muffins were excellent!
We had dinner at three different buffets (Treasure Island, Bellagio, and Mirage), and the best selection and the best tasting food was at the Bellagio. The worst, by far, was at the Mirage!
Stay here if you get a chance!

Received the room I asked for immediately.
Table mins went up too fast, so I gambled there early in the AM. Gambled in other casinos at night. The view of the lake was so nice I spent at lot more time in the room with my wife. Been to Vegas more than 30 times, always looking for cheap rooms. The extra expense was worth every penny plus I was up over a thousand at craps.

We have stayed at many of the strip casino's, and this is now our favorite.Service is top notch, the dealers very friendly and helpful. Played craps for the first time and had a blast. The pool area is very quiet and relaxing. I was very satisfied with the room size and amenities, contrary to people expecting more.Overall this place exceeded our expectations. Enjoy!

My wife and I arrived at McCarran A/P on Sunday, July 14 at around 6:30 PM. We encountered no cab line @ A/P, so our arrival at Bellagio was 7 PM. Again, no line to check-in, and we were in our room on 26th floor by 7:15 PM. The room was the best room that I have stayed in Las Vegas (Desert Inn, Treasure Island, Flamingo, Luxor, Paris, Rio), and although the view was lacking—I15 interchange @ Flamingo Rd, all of the room features made our stay extremely comfortable.
We visited the pool on several occasions—actually, there are 7 of them. The pool atmosphere is outstanding although the living scenery is not as pleasant as at hotels with younger clientele. We went to the fitness center at the hotel each day, and my wife had a great experience with a head, neck and shoulders massage. The fitness center is expensive ($25+/day), but we ate the fruit and juices that they provided for free as our breakfast each day. I rate the Spa facilities as outstanding.
Two things that you must get used to at Bellagio. Every person visiting Las Vegas must walk through the hotel at least once during their stay. This causes the hotel to seem extremely crowded at all times although the gamblers at the machines/tables seemed sparse. Secondly, Bellagio is more expensive for everything in Las Vegas. We spent $18 per person for breakfast and $22 per person for lunch at the Bellagio café—also, ask for a table on the patio overlooking the pool at the café because they are great.

Not worth the cost. First they tried to sell us an upgrade for $75 a night more. Then there were no non snoking rooms available, even though we had a guarenteed pre paid reservation. The room itself wasn't anything that special, although it had a nice bathroom. The non fogging mirrors were nice. Drink service at the pool was real slow, and way over priced. Location isn't too bad for that end of the strip. Wouldn't stay here again on my nickel

Just returned home today after spending 4 nights at the Bellagio. I've been visiting Las Vegas for 31 years and this was my first stay at this hotel. Compared to some of the other hotels/casinos, yes, the Bellagio is a few $$ more, but how do you put a price tag on quality? It is well-deserving of its 5-star rating, in that the quality of service is above & beyond reproach and is to be emulated. The room was very nice, but for some reason, I expected more. The bathroom is nice but I had much larger & nicer. The high point of the bathroom, I suppose, is the large soaking tub which will easily accommodate 2 "average-size" adults. We were on the 15th floor (overlooking the many pools)and regardless of the time of day or night that you wanted to take a shower, the water pressure was unbelieveable and hot water was instantaneous. I'd definitely make reservations there again on my next visit!

Let me just start by saying that I have visited las vegas many times and have stayed at the Rio, MGM, Treasure Island and Mirage. I wanted to make this a special trip because I was taking my twin daughters 27 years old to vegas for their first trip. I booked the Bellagio because I thought after reading all the reports that the Bellagio would be the best place for my daughters. Was I mistaken. First we arrived around 3P.M. and our room was not ready, ok no big deal. We waited until 4 and checked back in and was told we would have a lakeview room on the 15th floor. ok that is what I requeste when I booked it. We get up to the room and when I walked in I thought I would be excited, but I wasn't. There were stains all over the carpet, and when we walked in the bathroom the towels, although thick and pretty, had the edges all sticking out. For a 5 star hotel I was sure disappointed right from the start. The buffet was nothing to speak about, thank god I had 2 free passes, because at 24.95 each it was not worth it. I also think the customer service in this hotel leaves alot to be desired especially from the casino host. I would definitely stay at the Venetian the next time I go to vegas.

Beautiful hotel, rooms were very clean, nice room amenities including self serve
bar and in room safe. Pools were great, found out after the second day that one of the pools is heated to 82F, it was cool during our stay so we definately needed the warm water. Fantastic variety of lounge entertainment. Much better rooms than Mandalay Bay. A bit more crowded than Mandalay Bay- I think they (Mandalay) cater to a very young crowd whereas Belaggio was more 30-40 and up group. A bit expensive but very clean, also have a very friendly staff. We were able to check in well before the designated check in time which also was great.

After hearing so many good things about this place, I jumped at the offer when I got two nights free there via wagerworks. I was very surprised at the cleanliness of the bathroom- namely mold and mildew in the shower of the bathroom. I called housekeeping and informed them of the condition of the bathroom and they never cleaned the mold or the mildew during my 2-day stay with them. If if was paying for the room I would have been extremely upset with the lack of service for the rates they presently charge.
I ordered roomservice (NY steak and buffalo chicken strips), which was very reasonably priced (total meal was right around $40) and the steak was excellent. The chicken was a bit cold but overall I enjoyed not having to travel to get fed. My meal arrived within 35-mins of my ordering it.
The casino was very nice. You should budget at least $1000 a day if you're going to play in their casino- almost all the slots are $1 and up with quite a few $5 $10 $25 spread out around the main floor. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcome as my wallet got lightened.
The checkin/out was a breeze and I had no problems. However, their lack of a single starting-point for checkins could present problems when a large group of guests arrive to checkin. Try to time your arrival to when the masses are not going to be there.
Be warned, you need to gamble A LOT to get even a casino rate... While I was there, I lost $800 each day on their slots and Video Poker and when I called them for a casino-rate I was told "we're sorry, your level of play does not qualify you for any casino rate"... ouch... at least harrah's will give me a 100% comp room on any day even the weekends... overall, the Bellagio property with the fountains and ambiance is outstanding but be prepared to pay through the nose for enjoying it.

I've stayed in 5 different hotels on various trips to Vegas over the past 5 years. I'll never stay anywhere else but the Bellagio again. The room was average in size, but had lovely furnishings and an incredible bathroom. The service is unparalleled anywhere on the strip. From the greeters who escort you to the shortest check-in line to the bellmen who take the time to explain all the amenities and services offered when they bring up your bags, to the turn down service and scrumptious chocolate on your pillow every night. You feel like a guest at the Bellagio, not just another person staying at the Motel 6. The no kids policy is wonderful - Vegas is not a place for kids. The room service, restaurants, pools and spa were all top notch. It may cost a little more than some other hotels, but if you want to be pampered it's more than worth it!

I don't think I really could afford this hotel if I had not used Wagerworks. However, if I wanted to be pampered again and had some extra cash to blow, I would definitely go back. I am in love with this place. My favorite part of my room was the bathroom--you could park a plane in it, it was so big! The deep tubs and separate glass shower were welcome after a day out walking around the strip. The lobby of this hotel is beautiful. And, the whole place smells of the garden. I wish I could capture that scent in my own home. I lost money in the casino here, tried new and unusual foods at the buffet (buffalo?) and saw "O" which was magical. Only negative thing I could say about Bellagio...If you are hungry late and night and want something simple and "affordable", you pretty much have to go elsewhere to eat. (We did...) However, I highly recommend this if you want to be pampered and are not on a budget.

We spent our 5th wedding anniversary in a Penthouse Suite and it was marvelous! Great view of the fountains from the 31st floor - steam shower in the mans bathroom and a two person whirlpool in the womans bathroom. It was truly outstanding. I have also stayed in the regular rooms and they are also great, but this was the ultimate!

Bellagio is my favorite hotel in Las Vegas. The lakeside rooms are worth it for your first visit. I was mesmerized by the view. For subsequent visits I find the pool view is excellent and I don't mind saving a little to spend in the great restaurants. The Fontana Lounge balcony is the best place to have a drink and watch the fountains. The pools are spectacular There are great aquarobics. The layout and landscaping keep you from feeling crowded. Everyone from the reservation agent to the "coffee shop" waiters were attentive and friendly without being intrusive. I always go on my birthday which is in December and the rates are amazingly affordable. Keep an eye on their promotions and you can experience a luxurious escape at the price of most Holiday Inn stays elsewhere. The gift shop is conveneiently located next to the guest elevators, there's a charming tea service in the afternoon in Petrossian, and Olives for lunch can't be beat. "O" is the only show I know of that lives up to it's raves. No matter how high your expectations it will exceed them. There's so much more to praise but I'll leave you with one last image, some may like the excitement of watching the high roller action at the craps table and the high stakes poker, others the scents and sight of botanical splendor in the conservatory and the gardens, but go early in the morning when the pool is opening and turn right instead of left. You will see the glory of rows and rows of magnificent mounds of gelato. Every possible flavor and color cleverly decorated and as yet unspoiled by the dipping scoop. Nothing says decadence like gelato in the morning.

There are good and bad aspects of my 12-20-02 visit. The Good: The place is absolutely stunning. Restaurants are very high-end... maybe even a little too high end for my taste. The room was average, aside from an overabundance of soap, shampoo, hairspray and other toiletries that you can shove in a suitcase. A word of warning... bring your own razor. The one they provide is about as comfortable as shaving with a sharp stone. The casino was elegant and well stocked with machines that I enjoy. Facility-wise, it is hard to find a fault with this place. **The Bad**: The staff seems to have more than its share of arrogant and/or indifferent people. Case in point - my host. He didn't return my call for two weeks then told me (after I caught him at work) that to reserve the offer I wanted to use, I should have called a couple of weeks earlier. When I called him on it, he simply replied "I can be hard to get a hold of." Upon meeting this guy, things didn't change. In his defense, he did get me a room upgrade (not the room offered in the promotion, but a better than standard room) after a few hours. But he just didn't seem to care. Put it this way... if they could get Voice Recognition technology to the next level of reliability, this host could be replaced with a computer in a kiosk. The people manning the Club Bellagio desk seemed to view each patron as an inconvenience and actually scolded a lady in front of me when she didn't understand what they were telling her. Several other staff members seemed to have this same terrible attitude, while others were completely pleasant and professional. It only takes a few folks to undo the magic of the world's most expensive hotel. I met those folks this trip. **The Point of all this**: If you're a RFB player, spend your money where you feel appreciated. Sure, they'll comp you here, but they won't be any too helpful about it. This place is nice enough, but you can see what you need to see in a couple of hours. Keep your money in your pocket and your suitcase somewhere else... it will save you from feeling like I do about Bellagio.

3rd stay at the Bellagio and it's better each time we visit. The rooms,casino,fountains, and grounds are stunning. But the real thing that makes the Bellagio stand out is service. There staff is simply the best at attending to your every need or request. They seem to truly enjoy making your time spent with the special.

Bellagio is the nicest hotel in Las Vegas. BAR NONE! Having stayed at many of the hotels in town I need not look any further. Yes, the rooms at The Venetian are larger but not nicer, and the property overall at Bellagio is incomparable! Everything is first class here.
Just a side note: If you happen to be walking at the north end of the strip carrying a 2 foot tall glass containing a bright red or blue colored beverage, Bellagio may not suit your taste. :)

This is a lovely hotel. I would definitely stay here again if I could afford it each time. We had a room overlooking the fountains and enjoyed watching them even as we were preparing to go out in the evenings. We dined at Olives one evening and the food and ambiance were terrific.

The best place in Las Vegas to stay! The best staff of any hotel I've ever stayed at. They were very helpful, very friendly and extremely courteous. This was the best hotel experience I ever had. You pay for the Bellagio, but you get your money's worth. I've also had the best luck playing craps at The Bellagio, and yes, they do have $5 tables. For a wonderful end to an evening, try the Fontana Bar. Sit on the terrace, have a martini or 2, and enjoy the water show. We will be staying at The Bellagio on our next trip to Las Vegas.

We first stayed at the Bellagio two years ago, and five Las Vegas visits
later, we still won't stay anywhere but the Bellagio. If you can afford the
splurge, the Bellagio one bedroom Penthouse is to die for, but the
Lakeview rooms are incredible, too. (Spend the extra for the Lakeview
room. You'll be glad you did.)
In a nutshell, the Bellagio is a classy, upscale casino hotel which offers
the complete package: stellar service, a grand casino, beautiful spa,
fantastic dining, gorgeous pool, and luxurious rooms, not to mention the
unbelievable lake show, Cirque du Soleil's O, first class shopping, a first
class fine art exhibition, and the stunning lobby!
Sure, you're going to spend a little more here than elsewhere on the strip,
but you're going to get what you pay for and more!

Did not stay here, but this is the best casino in Vegas. Won a few hundred on the slots and blackjack. Quick drink service, pleasant blackjack dealers and pit bosses. They create a real comfortable atmosphere. Machines are quiet and the air is easy to breathe. Played in almost every casino on the strip and I felt more comfortable here than anywhere else. My girlfried agreed.

Travel to Las Vegas 3-4 times per year, stay where the deals are. First time at Bellagio will NOT remain our first because we will be back to this hotel. I am not sure how anyone could give this a neagtive, unless they are expecting the moon for $159 a night. Quietest hotel in Las Vegas, in my opinion...people working there are FRIENDLY and polite...Casino is clean, food/buffets are EXCELLENT and even though more pricey, the whole atmosphere is worth it - no mullets to be found and people take their hats off...no big pigs eating as much as they can possibly stuff their face with.
If you want relaxation and comfort at the end of a busy day on the Strip, this is the place to stay....

Very classy place with wonderful and helpful staff. Would like to see a nice midprice diner other than the tiny place with the fries (very good but too small). The restaraunts are beautiful, but sometimes you just want a casual place to have a simple meal...which means you have to leave the premises.
