Where do I begin. The new show out front, that was once pirates doing brilliant battle is now a cheese bag show some overpaid jerk cameup with. ti???
Another over paid jerk came up with that one. That is the lamest logo. All that $$$ and that's what you came up with??? Pathetic. Bad food, service, rooms. Rude employees. Over priced dennys in a motel 6. Use that $$$ to hire better thinkers upstairs. I'm availiable. I know I could make that place better than it is now!!!

The entire stay was great. From the moment we checked in on Friday, December 26, 2003 at 10:30 p.m. until we left at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30. The staff was very helpful and polite. I was impressed with the security measures they took. Every time we pulled up to the valet, they check in the car and trunk; and when we went up to our rooms, they checked our room keys before being allowed into the elevator area. We never had to wait for an elevator the entire time we were there.

The bed was very comfortable and the climate of the room was good. The only complaints we had were the uneven water temperature in the shower and the poor water pressure. I would also have liked the window to be a bit cleaner to we could enjoy our view down the Strip a little better. The first thing my better half said was that the window was dirty like the one we had at the Luxor a few yeas back. Must be a Las Vegas thing. I also preferred the old pirate show.

We didn't play too much in TI because we had his mother with us and she was sick the entire time we were in Las Vegas. I'm not even her daughter-in-law and she still made my life hell. I thought that was reserved for a mother-in-law/daughter-in-law relationshiip. I did find a quarter on the floor the first morning I was there and put it into a machine and won $10.25! Paid for our coffee at Starbucks that morning.

Loved the marble bathroom. My better half is 6'4" and the showerhead was high enough for him and he said that he had to sit down in the tub for a fit and he found it long enough to stretch out. Not that he took a bath. Guess it was there and he just had to try. The room was very quiet and we didn't hear anyone in the hallways or other rooms.

I would definately stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay, although for the price of the rooms, we didn't find them to be much nicer than the cheaper places, like Tropicana. The crowd is definitely a more upscale crowd. Didn't think the breakfast buffet was anything special. Loved the tropical restaurant/bar on the premises. They also have a Starbucks inside which was nice in the mornings. Nice Keno lounge with lots of drinks delivered to us promptly.

This was my second visit to TI and it was great. The rooms are excellant and then the casino, resturants, shops, are just the right. Don't miss the Terrace Resturant for great food at good prices. I actually liked the original pirate show the best but the new show is good too. I'm already looking forward to TI in the fall of 04

I'll be staying at this property for the 5th time when we go this May and wil probably always stay there from now on. I've stayed in a Tower Deluxe, Petite Suite and Tower Suite. The Tower Deluxe rooms have a great view on the top floor with ceilings about 20 ft. high. To me, this is the BEST value for the 4 star hotels in Vegas. If you're lucky enough to get into Tower Suite it's worth it if you're with people since it has a nice area to sit with people. They have great rooms for an awesome price. The hotel is big, yet has a cozy feel to it because the lobby, casino, restaurant areas aren't huge or hard to get through. The casino is the only downer for me since I play mainly play black jack and they have automatic shufflers. BUT since all of the MGM/MIRAGE casinos are linked I go play at Mirage (right next door) or MGM and my rating carries with me. I highly recommend this hotel, and have to friends that went and had a very pleasant experience.

I have stayed at Treasure Island about 5 times now and it is my favorite place to stay in Vegas. The rooms are nicer than the Mirage and if you get a pool or pirate view its a great view also. Buffet is pretty good for the money but Mirage food is much better. An especially great place for the kids.
the best part of it is the size. You won't get lost in the hotel or casino, its very user friendly.

This hotel was much nicer compared to the flamingo the rooms are well done and apointed. This is one hotel where i loved the elevetors iI never had to wait for an eleveter to to get upto the 20 floor, the eleveltor was always there no metter how big the croud was. But the pool area is one the worst I have seen for such a a large resort, you need to be ther at 8amm to get a sit or you wont get one, no shads to sit under, evry one was too close to one another.

We travelled from West Yorkshire in England and spent 6 nights at Treasure Island and got married in the hotel chapel. We received a free room upgrade to a tower delux room which was very nice. The wedding was great and organised very well. We didn't sit round the pool but it did look very crowded. The casino was Ok but again, we didn't spend much time in here - we found the minimum table limits quite high. The pirate battle was not being shown due to refurbishment and we understand the new show will be a little more adult themed and Treasure Island want to move away from their family image - they even call themselves TI now rather than Treasure Island!!

We try a different hotel each visit. This was # 7 and we were very pleased with the room. Had a great view of the ships- of course the battle was not running anymore. But we knew that ahead of time. Room was nicely decorated and the housekeeping was good. I could see a few things that I would get at with my scrub brush- but for the turnover of people I was pleased at the state of the room and cleanliness. Slots didn't pay much- but I did lousy everywhere. I found that on this trip - trying to get a drink was very hard at almost every casino. You had to track them down and were met with surly attitudes- they want you at a slot to order a drink. Fine- then come to the slots and ask for my order!! The one exception this trip was Bellagio. The second we stepped into the casino we had drinks and were approached for more as soon as we were empty. I hadn't planned to gamble much there but the staff was very nice and attentive- so I figured I may as well lose my money there as anywhere. I love Vegas! I will never get rich but it sure is fun getting poorer there. Again- as for the TI, it was a great hotel and I will definately add it to my rotation.

We loved it. It was our first trip to Vegas, we could not ask for more. Our first room was a joke, looking at the air conditioning system. But I called the front desk, and they gave us a much better room.
We loved it, it was our favorite one so far. The decor is awesome.

Didn't stay at this hotel but I had always in the past enjoyed the casino and made it one of my constant stops for each visit. Unfortunately, things have changed, payouts are very tight, didn't hit anything. I still like the theme and enjoyed the buffet, but I will go elsewhere to gamble where I have a better chance of playing longer (like the Palms).

My wife and I stayed at Treasure Island for 4 days and we enjoyed our stay so much that we will stay at Treasure Island when we return to Vegas. The location, restaurants, service, and casino were top rate. I actually liked Treasure Island better than The Mirage next door, at least we liked the casino and atmoshpere better. The dealers were friendly and helpful, I always had a drink while gambling and didn't have to look around for the cocktail waitresses, and the casino was clean and not NEARLY as smokey as other casinos. At times there were alot of people in the casino, but unlike other casinos, I never felt "crowded" at Treasure Island. The payoffs at the tables and slots were above average compared to other casinos we visited. Treasure Island was also very reasonably priced and located in a perfect center spot on the strip. Another thing I LOVED about Treasure Island was they did not allow or have any of those ANNOYING promotions people that we were bothered by at New York-New York, Venetian, Rio, Harrah's etc..... The casinos that allowed those promotions people in to bother the guests really turned me off....another reason I really enjoyed Treasure Island, and actually ALL of the MGM-Mirage properties (Mirage, TI, MGM Grand, Golden Nugget, Bellagio) did not have these people bothering the clients in the casino, only New York-New York of the MGM-Mirage properties allowed that and it was VERY annoying...I'll put it this way, the hotels/casinos that allow these promotions people in to bother people are places I would NEVER stay at because they (promotions) annoyed me so much......Treasure Island is a GREAT choice if you want to stay on the strip and we will continue to stay there.

Stay far away from here if your in your 20's or 30's and are looking to have fun at clubs and/or want to be at a hip casino. This place has families crawling all over it and at all hours. The small pool is a joke. Kids splashing around and throwing things at each other made a very uncomfortable feeling. The nightlife here is virtually non-existant and every night we left this place looking for other people our age to parth with. The craps tables were filled with stuffy old men and the dealers looked bored as hell. They were in a zone probally wishing they were dealing at the Venetian or Hard Rock. Overall the place just lacked juice. The rooms, buffet, and sportsbook were on the positive side. All the empty tables here with dealers standing alone, you would think that they could drop some playing limits just to get people to start playing. Vegas to me is about cool and this place isn't even in the ballpark. I would recommend the Palms or New york-New york.

Everything we were hoping for although the casino was very expensive so we took our money across the street to the IP and gave it to them.Wish the minimums at the tables were lower. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Good visit.

My DH, DD (11), DS (10) and I stayed at Treasue Island for two nights (Wednesday and Thursday), June 4 - June 6, 2003, thanks to Priceline. We had no problems at check-in, and were in fact upgraded (for no extra charge), to a room with a view of the strip (on the 32nd floor). We had a side view of the Mirage Volcano (great to see the fingers of fire spread in the water), and a distant view of the Bellagio Fountains. The room itself was really nice and decorated in an upscale tropical theme (at least that's what it looked like to me). Little touches abound, like closet lights that come on automatically when the closet is opened and decorative fabric shower curtains in the bathroom. True, a small room but I've stayed in rooms twice the size that haven't used what space they did have nearly as well as our room at TI did. It was the second stay at this hotel for my DH and I (the first being in 1994), although it may be our last as I enjoy the pirate theme and once TI is made still more generic there really won't be any point for us to go back. The pool area is nice, although I agree it's smaller than might be expected for a property in this class. The arcade is also small, but at that point in our trip we had already been to serval of the bigger and better arcades on the strip, and I did well in the casino at the dollar slots. I feel the food options are limited, but there are more choices just across the street at the Venetian. As far as location on the strip, Treasure Island is OK, but not ideal. One thing I do like about Treasure Island is that it is smaller (or at least it seems to be) than many strip hotels. I've never gotten lost here, unlike many other Hotels & Casinos, and nothing within the hotel seems too far away. All in all we enjoyed our stay at Treasure Island, but were just as happy at Excalibur the previous two nights.

Got back from Vegas two weeks ago. Stayed from 6/08 to 6/12 at TI. I figured I'd give myself a couple of weeks to cool off before I sat down to write this. So...Here we go, to start this is a nice hotel. The room was great, no complaints. But so what, big deal, the strip is full of hotels with nice rooms. I know,I've stayed in nearly all of them. The problem with the TI is the casino. Sure it's plush and clean. It's also one of the tightest damn places in the whole town! Comps,,,forget it! friendly dealers,,,forget it! Win,,,are you crazy. If you win anything here, it's because somebody wasn't doing their job right. That same "somebody" was most likely fired right after you left. So don't expect it to happen twice. LOL
Seriously, it seems like it gets worse every time I'm here. The casinos on the south end of the strip, specificly the MGM/Mirage properties (TI, Mirage, Bellagio etc...) have become so corporate and uptight, I think most of the dealers are afraid to even smile or crack a joke. I played here off and on for the four days I stayed. Not once did I find a dealer or any casino worker for that mater, that had any kind of a personality. I hate to sound so picky, but one of the things that make playing the tables fun is that you can sit and enjoy a little friendly conversation with the dealer and other players. When all you've got is this totaly stone faced dealer pitching cards at you, it tends to discourage talking all together. What you end up with is a table full of people, loosing money with this blank stare on thier face. Sounds like fun hey?
Second, the slots. to put it simple, don't play them. MGM/Mirage slots are the tightest around.
Third, Video poker. (my game of choice) once again leave it alone. Even on the dollar ones they pay 1/1 on two pair!
To sum this up, if you want a nice room the TI will do fine, but whatever you do don't play here! trust me on this one,,,you've been warned!
If you're coming to Vegas to gamble, go downtown or anywhere on the strip north of the mall (Fashion show mall). The downtown and north strip casinos are older and not as nice, but you stand a much better chance of winning. You'll also find that these casinos try harder to earn your dollar with comps, show tickets, meals etc. Yes, and much better dealers!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Treasure Island (6/29/03 - 7/3/03). No complaints at all. Our standard king room was very nice. It was clean and in great shape. Our view overlooked the Fashion Show Mall and looked up the strip at Frontier, Stardust, etc. That wasn't the greatest so I'd recommend asking for one of the other sides of the hotel. There was a about a 15 minute wait at check-in (Sunday a.m.). We always use a rental car on our trips to Las Vegas and we found the parking garage to be the most accessible of almost any hotel we've stayed at. Great for people who use their car a lot to casino hop. The TI's casino is just okay - large but closed in by a low ceiling. Drink service was good. We ate at the buffet and would say that there are better choices. Enjoyed having very convenient locations of Starbucks and Ben & Jerry's. Krispy Kreme is there too but we didn't take advantage of it. Our only major criticism is Treasure Island's well-known deficiency and that is the pool. If a big nice pool is important to you - stay somewhere else. TI's pool is very small. This is not a big factor for us. Overall, we will stay at TI again.

Fantastic Experience. The staff is terrific, resort immaculate. You cannot beat the location. The spa is a must-do. Have a salt-honey glow massage from Leslie, it is heavenly. How many damn times does one have to stay or gamble at Treasure Island to get a free room or a comp. We were married there, had a reception there. Been there two more times. They never offer a room upgrade or even a free buffet. They charge $1 for making a 1-800 call from the room. They charge $3 dollars for a bottle of water. Why nickel and dime guests? Eventually, they will earn the money in gaming. I played over 150 games of Keno and won a whopping total of $15.50 out of $75. Lost alot of money gambling at slots too. They change their player club 2 times in 3 years and don't re-issue the points previously earned.

Their slots never ever pay out.

The slots at Bellagio are much looser.

Waited approximately 45 minutes to check in. Some type of crowd control would help immensely. Each desk clerk had their own line, if there was a problem, the clerk disappeared and their line didn't move. It was possible for patrons who arrived after you to register and move on before you could.

The rooms were small and poorly laid out. If you had work to do, the desk faced the wall not the TV. There were no electrical connections for easy access.

Everything had a price. They definitely nickel and dime a guest to death.

The Kahunaville restaurant didn't open until 8A, which seemed strange. The coupon I had for breakfast showed the breakfast menu. Steak and eggs was included in this menu. But, the fine print said, "Excludes steak and eggs."

The location was good at approximately the center of the strip.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel nor stay there again.

Stayed at TI from May 20-23rd and had a marvelous time. Had a petite suite that was very comfy (jacuzzi was great after being out on the strip all day). Even though room located near elevators did not hear outside noises. Had view of strip but forgot to ask for room with view of Pirate battle (although I felt battle was abit over-rated anyhow). Staff very pleasant and courteous and had no wait for check-in (2:30 PM) nor check-out (9:00 AM). Can't really comment on casino as we didn't gamble at TI. Other casinos seemed to offer better gambling incentives. Overall enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it to others.

customer service was slug-up-a-salt-covered-hill slow at both checkin and checkout. the casino was EXTREMELY tight no matter what game we played (we tried slots and video poker of all different varieties and denominations and couldn't get a winner out of any of them). Drink service in the casino was very slow and the comp drinks were served in the smallest drink glasses I've seen on the strip (they were basically a tall shotglass that held maybe 3ounces of fluid). The rooms were clean but the shower was low-water-pressure and should not have cost more than $50 a night. It was hot and our room was IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP COOL. Their A/C is great in the casino but crappy for the rooms (and the stupid housekeeper will turn it off each day). The restaurants were all very overpriced for small quantities of food. This place is a total ripoff.

Treasure Island was a very nice place to stay. It was centrally located on the strip. All the staff members I dealt with were very pleasant. Check in and out was very easy and our room was very nice with a great view of the strip (34th floor).

Staff members in the casino were very nice and the bartenders at the Swashbuckler Bar in the casino, particularly Joe, were outstanding!

Only problem we had was finding help when slot machine hoppers were empty (after receiving only 44 coins and 55 out of about 400).

I highly recommend visiting TI!

My fiancee and I spent a week at Treasure Island. This was his first trip to Vegas and my third (2nd stay at TI). We both love this hotel and can't say enough good things about it. The check-in and check-out both went very quickly and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Since I had stayed there before I already knew that I really liked this place. My fiancee on the other had didn't know what to expect and he was very happy with what he saw. The room was very clean and housekeeping kept it clean everyday for us as well. Had a wonderful view looking down the strip.

If you plan on eating at the Buffet, please make sure to get there early. Our first night there, we went to the Buffet around 10:00 and were not really happy with what we got. There was not much of a selection and the meat was all dried out. Our last night there, we decided to try it again, but eat dinner right when they first started to serve it and the food was good then. They had a really good selection of many different things. We also ate at the Terrace Cafe for breakfast and dinner one day. Breakfast was really good, but dinner wasn't that great. Be careful, because their prices are a little on the high side there. Our favorite place there was the little Deli that they have hidden back by the sports bar area. Really good selection if you don't feel like a fancy dinner. They're open breakfast, lunch and dinner and if you eat there, you have to get their club sandwich. The load so much meat on their sandwiches and they're really worth the price (not too costly).

The slots there are pretty tight. We didn't have any good luck with any slots or table games there. We did better at Imperial Palace and Binions at Freemont Street on the slots. Table games at Mirage were fun. Lots of people around and making it a really good time.

All in all, we had a great time at TI and are planning our next trip back in September or October (I just hope to try the pool out this next time. Really nice looking pool with lots of sunnny areas).

This is a good choice for price, location and convenience. Hotel is at the top of the better strip, not in the middle but at the beginning, pretty convenient. Rooms are nice, clean, roomy for two adults, nicely decorated. Only major complaint was the smokey casino, ceilings too low so very smokey. On line prices for rooms is good except for weekend when they do rise high. Complaint on discount room is no view. Asked to get room with view, $25 more per night, we looked at it and decided we could spend the $25 in a better way. Like most all LV hotels, you do have to go through the casino to do anything in the hotel, go to restaurants, theatre, pool etc. Be prepared to duck the crowds and the sightseers. Pirate show was called off every night either because of technical problems or high wiinds, very crowded if you want to see this free show. Can be seen from inside from either battle bar or restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful, tv check out works great. You can eat at the pool if you use the "Big Kahunna Restaurant" (excuse the spelling). Buy one/get one free breakfast coupons available in magazine, you can use these all the time for both breakfast, and free drink coupon as well. This is actually a better deal than the buffet, food is much better and you can sit by the pool, weather permitting. Overall TI is a good choice, not the best, not the worst.

Went to Vegas Easter week, the TI was great and will be even better when they redo the Pirate scenery out front. They are redoing in hopes that people will leave there children home and I am all for that. Vegas is no place for kids take them to the Disney properties instead. Hotel was fantastic for the prices you can't ask for more. I do wish they would make the pool area larger. I felt like a sardine jammed packed but I understand that Mirage pool was closed and their guests were utilizing TI. The new MGM-Mirage Players Club makes it so easy to gamble and get comps and money back. I stayed at the Mirage before and actually like TI better because its smaller and easier to get around. Would definetly go back again. The place is immaculate.

Our 4th time in Vegas 1st time in TI.Check in is chaos so bring a book.
The room on 30th overlooking the mountains was smaller than the average Vegas room but no less well apponted for that.It was comfortable two queen beds and a nice bathroom (No shower though.shower fitting was integral to bath tap). This hotel is the best ventilated we have stayed in in both the room and the casino.(Tip; put a towel at the bottom of the door at night and the noise of the air rushing in will stop)The Casino was the only one that we won in,(no problem for comp drinks all week) we were robbed by the others Except Fitzgeralds in Freemont. Make sure you go past the booth on the wooden walkway regularly to get vouchers for food and drinks discounts.I would reccomend this hotel to stay in.Try haggling for a suite upgrade if they are not fully booked you will get a great room for the extra.

The room was nice, view left something to be desired (but then who was looking out the window), the casino personnel were very friendly and helpfull, Kahunaville was awesome (best part of the whole building), Krispy Kreme was delicious, the Deli (try the grilled chicken combo) great value, loved the tram idea from TI to Mirage. The battle was entertaining. Did not know that Pirates wore Nike tennies. Overall it was a very nice place to stay. Would recommend it to others.

Stayed on the 8th floor facing mountains. Basic room. Good shower pressure which is a plus. Otherwise, the most memorable thing about this hotel is the pool. Awesome. Get there between 9 and 10 to get a chair. Pool area fills rather fast. Heated pool and hot tub. Bar is poolside but beware those good fruity drinks are $8 and not much booze in them. Drinks aren't brought very quickly at the blackjack tables. Much better at the Rio. Service seemed to be better at the craps table though. Just wasn't wowed by this hotel for the price.

Stayed at Treasure Island for 3 nights. Had a great time. A hinge came off of the amoire, and within 15 minutes, maintenance had come up a repaired it. Found the tram over to The Mirage very convenient. Right across from the Venetian, and walking distance to Ceasar's and Bellagio....Gambling was ok too. BJ dealers friendly (won some too) Didn't see too many big hits on the slots, but there were a few. Wife played slots exclusively and held her own for the 3 days. We'll be staying there again this summer.

I hate to say it, but this place blows. Apparently they have all the junior service staff who have no clue how do take care of customers who get the beat-down on their wallet by their casino. The only nice thing I can say is that their rooms are very clean. Let me list the things that pissed me off:

1. Not getting my bacardi n coke comped while playing $1 video poker at the bar while playing 5-coins a hand.
2. Losing $600 in under 1-hour on EXTREMELY tight slots (from 90-coin$.05 to 3-coin$1).
3. Not getting a $6 glass skull mug comped after the $600 loss.
4. Ultra-slow drink service at the slots (I left the machine after 17-minutes of waiting).
5. Getting consisently bad/rude/slow customer service.
6. Getting a steak for $40 in their way overpriced steakhouse that I could get in a crappy steakhouse here for about $8.
7. Not getting offered ANY comps after a $600 in less than a hour.

This property is being run on the extreme cheap, none of the employees made me feel welcomed or that my play was even wanted there. When I pointed out that I had just given them $600 in less than a hour without even trying the better-odds table games the response from them was "we're sorry, your action does not qualify you for anything". Well I'll tell you what TI, your service does not qualify you for a repeat visit- ever.

Nice rooms, excellent value, can't-miss show (Mystere), but lousy food. Thanks to the location and layout, most rooms offer good Strip views, and the TI's aggressive about discounts, making it one of the better deals among the mega-resorts. But the casino's just not as "hot" as the ones at Bellagio or Hard Rock (for eye candy) or downtown (for payback). Verdict? If you are on a budget, stay here, but play elsewhere.

Excellent rooms. We were in a deluxe tower room, queen beds. Much nicer than the standard Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, etc. Rooms were kept emaculately clean daily. Storage space (drawers) is very limted if you're there for more than a few days. Round table in room is also small. But, overall, a great room. Very nice large bathroom and larger tub than normal nice hotel rooms. Decor of rooms and lobbies is very nice and pleasing to the eye. Pastel and muted colors. Mattress was firm and pillows hard and full (only thing we didn't care for). Large lobby areas on each floor. We had a great view of the strip, Venetian, Mirage, etc. Parents had room with King bed and were equally pleased. The safe is a great asset to the room. Also included ironing board and iron. Kahunaville was great for breakfast, was only time we ate there. One rude/sloppy waitress but others excellent. TI Buffet for breakfast mediocre. Lunch and dinner were adequate, but Mirage was better and only a few dollars more. Security checking room keys at elevators at most times. Most staff we encountered were friendly and accomodating. Mystere was awesome as was Danny Gans, highly recommend both. We were on second row for both shows, ordered tickets exactly 90 days in advance. Son age 26 and us 45ish, parents 64ish and 70's enjoyed Gans very much. My son also enjoyed Mystere with us, parents didn't see. Son was surprised how awesome it was and was glad he went. Not big gamblers so can't say much about casino. Some of us won a few dollars and some of us lost a few. Drinks were being offered regularly from what I could see. Pirate show gets very crowded, we walked across street and watched from there. Hotel is in good location. Not bad walk to Caesar', Bellagio, Aladdin, Paris. Venetian and Mirage across street and beside us. Loved them all. Tram to Mirage was nice, especially since it rained much of the week we were there. Walkway across street to Venetian also very nice. Highly recommend Treasure Island to anyone. We had a good E-mail rate of $69.00 for the deluxe tower room that included two for one breakfasts daily and a daily free drink. Very pleased. We were there Sunday, left Friday.

The room was nice and clean and the beds comfortable as far as hotel beds go. The only complaints I would have is that there was no grab rail in the shower which was a little slippery and there was no refrigerator although there was an ice machine just outside the door. The coffee shop was OK but the buffet dinner was not so good. We will definitely return to Treasure Island.

A really nice room (we had the deluxe room). Only thing missing was a coffee maker. Comfortable bed. We had a poor view, but were told we could have a room with a better view if we could wait a couple of hours before checking in. We were tired, so we took what was available, but we were warned! Casino was very average, althought the air quality seemed better than average.

Stayed for 3 nights from 12/23 to 12/26. Received a rate of $39 per night (with 3rd night free) through TI casino marketing. This was our 2nd stay at TI, we usually like to try different hotels each trip, but we couldn't pass on the outstanding rate. Arrived around midnight on 12/23, check-in was a breeze, we were in our room in about 5 minutes. Had asked for a non-smoking room, but received a "non-designated" room on the top floor(36th). However it did not smell smokey at all. Our room was facing north with a view of LV Hilton and Riviera. Room was decent-sized and clean. There was a wall safe in the room, which was convenient. The slots seemed very tight, that was probably our only complaint. We like the hotel location and layout, you don't have to walk forever to get to your room. Overall a very good experience, recommend it.

Stayed at TI from Dec. 25th 'til the 29th, check in/ out was fast and easy, got a delux rm. on the 31st floor facing the mountains, room was kept very clean, good size bedroom/bath, safe in closet,(got stuck and needed service, sec. came and fixed it in 5 min.) Everyone was friendly, nice and helpful. Must show sec. room key (card) at night at elevators. Got some T-shirts 50% off at the shops, good shopping. Pool closed for repairs. Very packed with people eveywhere on the strip 'cause of the holiday. Cold there in Dec. (H-58F &L-33F) windy and rained 1 day. Bring a jacket and walking shoes. Casino was nice, won $1000.00 on a 1$ slot machine (your in the money). Buffet was good. Tram to Mirage next door was helpful. Had a nice stay, would stay here again.

Walls are paper thin, and with that said, that is the only problem I found at TI. The check in was painless (10 to 15 minutes), but the first room we had was East tower 23rd floor (not as good a view as West). Had to move due to the late night "adult" noise going on next door, was moved to West tower 29th floor (excellent strip view).

We stayed for New Years and wanted the best strip view for the fireworks. We could see six of the ten properties launching fireworks from our room. GREAT customer service, be it room service, vallet, or just a couple of robes, they were friendly and fast (with exception of the 31st, but they were accurate with the wait times at least).

All in all an excellent stay! TI is great hotel in the mid level catagory, and an excellet value for the money. Pool was closed, and very, very small. Would consider other hotels if it's hot and you want to be pool side.

We had a great visit to this hotel. The room was beautiful and spacious, as was the marble bathroom. Customer service was excellent. We ate in the cafe and at the buffet, both which were adequate. We initially were told we would be charged for the rollaway bed we needed, but when we checked out, it turned out to be free. The pool was nice but not as lavious as some of the other hotels. A great value for hotel located in the middle of the strip!

Check in was easy and professional. We found it easy to find your way around, layout was good. Rooms were nice, best feature was the wall safe(if you have ever stood in line for a safe deposit box you will know what I mean). All staff were polite and helpful. On the down side Cirque's Mystery was dark while we were there and the casino was flat and boring. Stay for the service but gamble elsewhere. Finally the coffee shop prices were outrageous and we couldn't get a steak sandwich at either Treasure Island or the Mirage (not on the menu).

Everything was first rate. Stayed in a Petite Suite which was great (two bathrooms!)for three nights; got a suite with an excellent view looking down the Strip. Service was generally very good; had some slow service at the Cafe. Ate at the breakfast buffet once, wasn't as bad as expected from reading other posts. Saw Mystere and Danny Gans at the Mirage; both excellent shows. The Pirate show out front was OK, but not sure if it was worth the wait and putting up with the crowds. Pool was a bit small, but not crowded the afternoon I was there. Overall, a very nice place!

We enjoyed our visit, booked a petite suite for $115.00 for a four night stay. Room was great with two baths and nicely furnished. The room and food was comped based on our play so we figure that we broke even on the visit. The slots were not real loose but we did hit a few small jackpots.

The food was average at best, The Buccaneer Bay Club was very pricey and the service was great but the food average at best. We really can't complain as the meal was on the house but I would not highly recommend it. We also tried a dinner buffet next door at the Mirage and I would give that a very poor grade. The 24 hour cafe (name slips my mind) was decent amnd once again the service was great.

We were very impressed with the entire staff, everyone was very pleasent and drinks were always available while gambling. We would definately stay here again.

I really enjoyed this hotel although I can't compare it to others. They gave us a nice but small room overlooking pool and strip. They will provide a refrigerator for your stay for $10 if you ask. I understand the buffet is average try Paris. It is easy to get to Venetian with all its shops from Treasure Island. We really liked eating breakfast by the pool each morning. Bed was very comfortable. I didn't like Mystiere although most of the crowd did. The pirate show is very nice although you don't have to be a guest to see it. The staff was pretty good and if there was a line at the front desk other workers would pitch in so the wait was short. Not a lot of shops.Best of all the hotel and casino crowd seemed very pleasant and easy going as opposed to other hotels and casinos we went to. The self parking was very convenient to the hotel elevators. Could be the best hotel to stay at considering the reasonable price.

When I first heard of "Treasure Island" I thought it would be cheesy and
lame! I'm in my 20's and i like to party! Well...i laughed and got mad at my
friend for reserving a room there. I got there and I was WRONG!!!! This
place is so nice and I loved it!!! Treasure Island has a unique coconutty
scent that I'm still craving. Casino area was classy (maybe too classy for
my taste) and the location was perfect. Here's my review...

ROOMS-Very nice and classy. Plain but not too plain. Nice view towards
the strip and volcano! I woke up froma nap and I saw flames spewing
out...nice way to wake up. Nice bathroom and great service too...Rooms
aren't big as Mandalay but it was big enough. Way bigger than NYNY!

CASINO-Like i said before...too classy...but if ur highrolling than gamble
there. Nice Casino...lot of kids running around during pirate ship show...

Mystere was the best show in vegas...right up there with "O" and "Blue
man group!"

Stay there! I know it sounds cheesy but it's not really like that. I would
rank it up there with other high class super casinos!

From August 5th to the 9th, my wife, and I spent four memorable nights at your this resort hotel. Although we stayed at Treasure Island last year and had a wonderful time, I have to say that this year's stay was even better. All of your employees were very considerate and attentive to our needs, greeting each task with a smile. From deskclerks, to casino help, to house cleaning personnel, each individual did their part to make my wife and me feel like royalty. We're anxiously looking forward to our third fun-filled visit to your top-notch establishment.

Thanks again Treasure Island for your hospitality.

My sister and I just got back from a stay at Treasure Island (8/18-22) and we liked the hotel and thought it offered excellent value for the money. It may not be the lap of luxury, but we thought it quite the bargain for the $59 we paid per night.

The desk clerk politely satisfied our request for a room on a high floor with a strip view (although it was of the North Strip); and it was quiet and well kept. The bathroom was large, the tub was pretty deep, and they didn't skimp on the toiletries. I'm in the travel business and I have to say that my bed was among the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel. Housekeeping responded promptly to all requests (including one for a refrigerator (we needed one for medical reasons). The service was excellent and all of the staff members we had dealings with were professional and polite. My parents were also staying at the hotel and they had the same opinions about the rooms and the beds that we did.

The downside: The pool is lousy and crawling with kids (many were left unsupervised). Some parents blatantly ignored the rule prohibiting kids from the adults-only whirlpool. Actually, this hotel is a family favorite, so if you want to avoid kids, you're better off at the Bellagio or the Mirage. Another downside of the pool: you basically have to parade from the guest elevators through the casino and the shopping area to get to the pool. If you're not an exhibitionist, get a good cover-up.

And one other minor complaint: the vending machines on the guest floors are not replenished as often as they ought to be. We were there for 5 days and some items were never restocked.

If we had the money to do so, we'd probably head for Mirage or Bellagio in the MGM stable because of the kids situation, but if that isn't an issue for you, then you aren't going to get much more bang for your buck then at TI and we'd heartily recommend it.

Seems like they are tightening the belt quite a bit at TI. Forget about comped drinks in the Casino. I only had 1 beer "comped" in 2 days. While playing blackjack for 1 hour....no waitress. It took at least 20 minutes to get a beer while playing video poker. Do your research and find a better place!!

The rooms looked clean at first, but upon closer inspection I found that the room had not been vacuumed before we arrived.

Be careful with the taxis....they will take the long way and if you go somewhere other than a casino you better plan on taking the bus back. The cab companies will not answer the phones so you can get a dispatched cab.

I stayed there 2 years ago and it was a much better place.

Had a nice stay here. Our room overlooked the strip which was what we had asked for. The check in was quick as they had many counters open. Our room was nice and comfortable. We didnt have any problems with anything but then again we didnt spend much time in our room. The casino is ok. Nothing great. Although we did win $70 playing the slots! The Buffet is not good and should be avoided unless you are really hungary and short of time. The Cafe is much better. The location of the hotel is pretty good. You can easliy take a tram over to The Mirage next door. The Venitian is right across from this hotel. Watch the Pirates Battle its good entertainment. But try to get a place where you can easliy see both the lagoons. We were on the bridge and found oulselves in a tennis match. We kept turning our heads from left to right trying to cath all the action going on in both the lagoons. And was missed half of it casue we didnt know which side to watch!

Check in was a nightmare!! Too many people, long lines, slow workers...uggh. The rooms are nice, but it's hard to sleep when the buccaneer battle is going on outside. The slots are horrendously tight, and the tables aren't anything to write home about with silent dealers and stone-faced pit bosses. The player's club there also isn't all that great. The TI room was very nice, comfortable, with all you could need. The

nearly non-existent, with every waitress telling you "This is not my

CASINO HAD PROBLEMS -- EMPLOYEES IN LINE AT THE CHANGE COUNTER SOCIALIZING WITH THE PEOPLE WORKING WHILE PEOPLE WHO WANTED TO GAMBLE WAITED. VERY FRUSTRATING AND MADE ME BEAR THE 108 DEGREE HEAT TO GO PLAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. WAITRESS SERVICE WAS BAD WHILE YOU PLAYED AND NO NICKEL VIDEO POKER. CATCH THE TRAM TO MIRAGE AND HAVE A MUCH BETTER GAMING EXPERIENCE. ALSO THE DINNER BUFFET, WHICH WAS COMPED, WASN'T REALLY WORTH BEING FREE. BAD SERVICE, THE HOSTESS WASN'T SEATING PEOPLE EVEN THOUGH THERE WERE EMPTY TABLES. AS A HOTEL, GOOD, AS A CASINO, BAD. POOL WAS VERY RELAXING WITH A SLIDE FOR KIDS.

This was our third visit, we have really enjoyed our visits so far. the only thing we did not like about our visit this time was that the slots were tight and those STUPID card shufflers they have put on the blackjack tables to increase TI'S odds, we will be back to TI in oct but will gamble somewhere else. The resturants are great. The bucaneer bay was nice we enjoyed the meal and the show gives you a different look at the battle, Kahunaville was a charge to the system everything there is upbeat, the terrace cafe great when your hungry at 2 am and the TI buffet has great meals when your in a hurry. We will stay here again, But if they don't loosen up on the slots and get rid of the shufflers we will be looking for another place to stay after oct., we go to vegas 2 times a year and they are going to need how to be gambler friendly. the Rio had card shufflers last year but we noticed they disappeared this last trip maybe TI will get the hint.

"Deluxe" room was spacious and well appointed. Marble bathroom and quality bedding made this place feel expensive. Check in was a nightmare as was the service in the casino. Location is less than ideal unless you limit yourself to the north/mid strip. Long lines at the coffee shop made the trek from the elevator to the front exit an obstacle course. The pool area is small, crowded and substandard. The dealers and pit bosses who work here take themselves too seriously.

Love this casino/hotel! Would not care to stay anywhere else. Rooms are so nice, clean and everything one could need. Slots pay good! I always win a few bucks there; this time I came home with more $'s than I left with! The only downfall for Treasure Island is their buffet -- it is not worth a darn!

Had a wonderful visit. This was our 25th anniversary and my wife's first trip to Vegas. She was very impressed with both the hotel and the service we received. Upon check in I informed the desk clerk that this was our anniversary trip and he placed us in a corner room on the 23rd floor with a veiw of both the Pirate Battle and the Strip. We were here from Monday thru Friday and we could not have asked for better service. I would definitely recommend Treasure Island to anyone coming to Las Vegas.

Went back to the Treasure Island after 8 years because we found some excellent rates on their web site. We were dissapointed with the direction they have taken. Check in was slow, painful. Why is it so hard to establish a line that you snake through to access the first available clerk. They have random lines in front of each hotel registration clerk and you have to guess which will be the fastest. I waited while watching the line next to me go through three times. Then they gave us three rooms on totally different floors. Not one of the three had a view, except if you like looking at the mall. The rooms were fine, although small (we must have had a corner room last time as it was much larger). There was no iron and board in the room. We stayed here back in 1994 and the pool was much nicer back then with a waterslide, etc. I did like the breakfast by the pool. Moving the registration closer to the elevators was smart. I miss having something easy to grab to eat. There is no fast food. The deli is not open very often and had a minimal menu. The only snack, toiletries shop had short hours. They need something like a McDonald's or other quick food place(s) like most other hotels have, as well as a 24 hour shop where you can buy snacks, toiletries, etc. The only mini shop selling this type of item was closed early every night. In the morning, going to the pool, your only choices for food were the inside sit down cafe, buffet or pool side dining (which was pretty good). There is a Starbucks (replaced the only quick food place they had), but the lines are ridiculous and all they have are some overpriced pastries. I like to grab a cup of coffee, a bagel or piece of fruit and a paper, go to the pool and enjoy the cooler part of the day in the morning. Tough to do here.

They have improved the aisle width in the casino, which used to be impossible to walk through, especially after a pirate show. The slots are as tight as I remember them, the table games are high minimums. It is impossible to find a decent pay table 9/6 for video poker, and most are not even the 8/5, they try to sock it to you with 7/5 machines. They must think we are stupid. I went elsewhere to play!

The last night we were there, I had played most of the evening at blackjack and was ready to cash in (with what little I had left). I colored up and grabbed my $100 chip and headed for the cashiers cage. After walking past only 3 tables, a Treasure Island employee, sweeping the floor bumped into me and magically, my $100 chip dissapeared. We looked everywhere, had half the security force down helping me look with flashlights and all, but never found it (this happened within 25 feet of the table I was on). I personally think the sweeper made a quick $100 off me. He had these large pockets on the smock he was wearing and refused to check in them for me. Security was real nice, took a statement and promised to look at the security videos for me, checked out my story with the dealer at the table I was on, interviewed the sweeper, but no luck. Told me they'd be in touch, would see what they could do for me, and after an hour of hassle, let me go to bed (without my $100). They never did contact me! I thought that maybe I would at least get a comp or letter of apology, but nothing. They won't rate you at this place unless you play $25 a hand at the tables. With as much money as we spend at these casinos, you'd think they'd want you to come back, but I won't be spending much time at the Treasure Island again. Except for one morning when I talked to a nice woman pit boss, I did not get the impression from any of their staff anywhere that I was welcome, wanted, or appreciated. We'll be trying something else, or going back to our old faithful, the Monte Carlo.

When we went the first room we had was on the 32 floor and this room was ok but we orginally asked for a non-smoking room. The view was bad though. The beds weren't as soft as people said they were my bed is softer. Then they changed use the second day to a non-smoking room, we had a view of the pirate ship battle, but you could see anything cause of trees in the way. All you could see was fire thats all. This room was awful! First of all one of the lights weren't working. The lock to the bathroom was missing. They didn't put a new toilet paper roll, they left the room uncleaned when we arived. The only good thing about this room was that it was a non-smoking room. The maids were also not too friendly. And the pool it was way to small for this kind of hotel, very crowded too. It was smaller than some public pools I've gone too in my city. And last it was a rip off because we paid $170 per night.

Overall experience was good. Rooms were comfortable and well maintained. Received a view of a half built shopping center...was told no other rooms were available. Room had a built in wall safe in the closet and we were able to have a refirgerator brought to our room for a $10.00 fee for our entire 7 night stay, so that seemed fair. We were never disturbed by housekeeping (we're late sleepers too) but our room was always done daily by the time we returned in the late afternoon. The casino seemed tight. We only won anything decent between 1am - 4am. The pirate show is a must see....get there early for a good spot. Be sure to see Cirqu du Soleil's "Mystere"....an excellent show and worth the price of the ticket. We were pleased with our stay. We'd stay again, but will be checking out a few more hotels on future visits before returning to TI. But we would return!

An excellent place to stay in an ideal location on the strip. VERY good value for the money and definitely a safe, family-friendly hotel. If you're looking for someplace a little more hip or want a younger crowd this isn't exactly the hotel I'd recommend but still a great place to stay for anyone. Rooms do need to be updated.

Did not stay here but visited the casino twice. Worst service I have ever seen. After blowing a $100 in the tight slots, I went up to the bar to get a ginger ale to help with an upset stomach. I got charged two dollars for a glass, not even a full can. I would have loved to have ordered a free one but I didn't see a cocktail waitress for over an hour. The pirate show is good but stay out of the casino!!

This was our first visit to Las Vegas. We had found a great hotel rate on the internet.Having seen some negative comments I was a liitle concerned about Treasure Island. We did have quite a wait in line to be checked in. It took us 40 minutes to get checked in. I was dissapointed they didn't have more employees checking guests in. We did have a great room though. It did overlook the freeway unfortunately. We hardly spent anytime in our room because we were so busy running around,so I was o.k with our room location. My only complaint would be that they should leave the pool open later hours, especially during summer. We really liked the tram from Treasure Island to the Mirage. Really fast and efficient.I would visit again!

I had 2 nights free courtesy of Wagerworks. Check-in lady was very nice, and since we were with Wagerworks, got to use the invited guest line with no wait. I love the smell of the lobby and even the elevators (vanilla/rose maybe?) We don't like heights in case of fire or terrorist attacks, so requested a lower floor with a mountain view (also a view of the Fashion Show Mall). The check-in lady doesn't care for the vanilla/rose scent, she told me she has to take allergy shots for it. I gambled at other casinos with better payouts on the machines. I walked through the casino several times and didn't hear much winning going on. I wouldn't stay here again due to the fact I like the middle-southern end of the strip Bally's, Harrah's and MGM are my favorite haunts while in Vegas, and I got tired of the long walk. But it was free, so I can't complain much. The room itself was very nice. I loved the in-room safe and the almost all marble bathroom and oversized tub. I wish my bathroom at home was that huge. I don't care for the low-water toilets - even with just toilet paper in the bowl, it took 3 or 4 flushes to get it down - just another stupid law the Federal Government passed. 3 or 4 flushes actually uses more water than before...maybe at least since the Republicans are in now, they can do something about this stupid law. Maid Service? We never saw her the entire 2 days there, they did call at around 5 PM wanting to clean the room, but we were getting ready for EFX at that time. We left early enough in the morning (7 AM) why couldn't they have cleaned the room then? If Treasure Island were in a different location, I would stay there again, otherwise I won't.

We stayed three nights at T.s. The room was nice but there were a few things we did not like. The price of the room is pretty high $125 p/ night wed and thurs $152 for friday. The pool closes at 8:00 p.m. should be 10 or 11. None of the resturants have childrens menus. Our room was on the top floor and wee had a great view of the strip. The food was ok, not great but ok. The help was very nice and friendly. We went out for a convention so we didn't gamble at all.

My girlfriend and I spent four days/three nights (Mon - Thur) in mid June at Treasure Island. Because the trip was part vacation, part birthday present for my girlfriend I made reservations for a petite suite with a strip view, but when we arrived there weren't any available so we were upgraded to a tower suite (unfortunately no view to speak of). Needless to say, the room was great. We never ordered room service nor did we request anything, so I can't comment on the service, but I will say we didn't have any trouble with noise from other rooms and our room was always made up well. It was our first trip to Vegas and we spent most of our time trying to see as much as possible, so we didn't do any gambling, and therefore, I can't comment on that. I can say it doesn't get much better than Treasure Island when it comes to location. We would absolutely stay at Treasure Island the next time we go to Vegas although we probably won't bother with a suite only because we didn't spend that much time in the room.

The company my fiance works for gave out travel vouchers for the end of the year bonus, so we decided to go to Vegas. Treasure Island is a nice hotel, especially since we stayed there free, but we thought that it could have been a little better. Here are the things I liked about the hotel. Check in was very quick for us, but we didn't get a room with a view of the strip. That was fine, because we got to look at the mountains. Being from Minnesota, I've never seen mountains before, so the view was nice. We were on a non smoking floor, and it was very quiet. We rarely saw anyone in the hallways. The room was very nice and I loved the oversized bathtub.
Room service is almost TOO good! They clean up 2x a day. morning/afternoon and evening. They even leave a chocolate on the pillow : ) They replace towels, glasses, soap.. every time. It almost seems like a waste.. but that's fine with me. They do a great job. Since treasure island isn't a very big hotel, it doesn't take very long to get from the door to your room. That came in very handy when we would get outside and then realize we forgot something and had to go back up. Now on to the things we did not like.
I'm not much of a gambler, so it didn't bother me, but the casino (compared to others in Vegas) was small and boring! I was not impressed with it at all.
Since it's small, it gets crouded and sometimes is hard to walk around without bumping into someone. Knowing how much they charge for a room at treasure, I don't think that you're getting the best value. I think the rooms are over priced. - Onto the food... 1st of all DO NOT go to the Terrace Cafe for breakfast! We went there one day and then to the T.I. breakfast buffet the next. You get as much food and drink as you want for less money than a meal (without juice) at the Terrace Cafe. A glass of orange juice at the cafe is about $3. The food at the buffet is just as good, and you can have whatever you want. As many glasses of juice or coffee as you want. It is definately a much better deal. A time when the Cafe is good is late at night when everything else is closed. It's open 24 hours, so if you get hungry at midnight you can go there and have a nice meal. Dinner there is a much better deal than breakfast. The chicken parmesan is EXCELLENT.

So there you have it.. basically, I think Treasure Island is a nice hotel, but compared to some of the others in Vegas, it could be better.
All around, it's a nice place to stay.

Just returned home from a stay in Treasure Island. I told them it was my birthday (it was:) and they gave us a room with a great view of the strip on the 25th floor. I could see the fountains at Bellagio and the volcano at Mirage from the room! The rooms were very nice, they looked newly remodeled. Bright and cheery yellows, creams and golds with new chrome fixtures, tub, lighted makeup mirror and hair dryer in the large bathroom. As far as the casino goes, it was not as big as the others and I did not gamble much there. Played some quarter slots, not many nickel slots. The pool was nice but nothing to write home about. If I was going back to Vegas in the summer I would choose a hotel with a nicer pool like MGM. If you want coffee at Starbucks go early because you will wait in line forever. We rented a car on our stay also. There is a Dollar Rent A Car stand near the Krispy Creme stand. Reserve a car a day or so in advance and they will have it right there waiting for you. We rented their cheapest car and it was a 2002 barely driven little SUV, very nice, good deal. Overall a very nice visit.

I just stayed at Treasure Island for the first time. Overall I had a great time. First let me state the negatives about the hotel. The rooms are small but I don't use my room much while in Vegas. The buffet and cafe are just average at best and these are the two restaraunts that I am going use the most. Finally, the gambling is not that great. Now for the positives, the service is great. The check in did not take that long. Valet even at peak hours retrieved our car in minimal time. The maid service was strong with most rooms being cleaned by 1:00pm except on Sunday which is check out day for most people. The coctail waitresses were never too far away and one could always get a drink. Finally the location is great. With weak restaraunts and gambling, the location made up for it. The mirage has great places to eat and it is right next door. Also Harrahs has a great buffet. I could walk up and down the strip and play at places like casino royale that have good gambling.

This was my first trip to Vegas and being a east coast gambler, prepaid
for my standard room for me and my lady plus another for my X wife since
we were coming in for my daughter's wedding at another resort. I was
supposed to get a pre-selected corner room (better view, not a suite) as
I pre established a significant $ credit rating and was offered a limo
airport pick up. Since I rented a car, I was told to use the VIP check
in by the gaming host. Upon arrival, they all but threw me out of the
VIP check in. But once normal registered, the casino then had me to
sign the forms to confirm the gambling limit and was advised by
marketing to stay in the given room the first night and they would take
care of me in the morning. Indeed they did ..... they wanted me to
pay for a suite upgrade at a SIGNIFICANT increase higher than I could
get on the net, so I said to heck with this and stayed in my standard
room. If I knew this in advance then I would not have been
disappointed.
Stayed four nights: 1st night) asked for an iron - none was delivered to
the room... 2nd night) asked again for the iron and only after I found
a chambermaid in the hall was one obtained since she was taking it out
of another room.... 3rd night) no ash trays left in this smoking room
and was tempted to use the carpet as it took hours for one to arrive....
4th night) it was my daughter's wedding and upon late return the ROOM
WAS NOT CLEANED from the prior day ..... I was too tired and we
simply went to bed..... When I checked out the next morning, one
girl at the desk was chit chatting with I think her boyfriend while the
other had her back to the guests and only turned to assist the next in
line when a supervisor noticed that people were waiting so all of us
waited almost 15 minutes while these two ignored customers. plus I
found the staff general "snotty" even if they just received the "FOUR
STAR" whatever rating .....
My only pay back was that I did not gamble here or eat in any of their
restaurants, but spent 30 HOURS gambling at the surrounding resorts not
associated with the Mirage. I comped for a future stays at other
resorts. When I would lose a big bet, I would smile and say to myself,
"at least it did not go to TI"

The hotel stay was very good. The room was very clean and appropriate size. Had a view of the pirate show. Reasonable price, although this can vary a lot.
My only WARNING is the casino. If you love to play video poker- this is not the place for you. Their machines are set on hyper-speed, so that you lose quicker and they are all the same style. Didn't find many winning machines, although a friend of mine did find a triple poker machine worth playing (3X the cost!) Especially disappointing, was the fact that almost all of these hyperfast machines (bonus poker) are set with a ratio of 6/5. Anyone who plays regularly, knows that this means a big advantage to the house, as most places are a minimum of 7/5 or even 8/5. (Even a rare 9/5 or 9/6 can be found). Treasure Island paybacks then are exactly the same as those rip-off machines at the airport. How shameful is that?? So, stay in the rooms if you get a deal, but play other places in the area- maybe they'll get the message??

Stayed there during the week in February, so it was a slower paced time. Thought it was a great deal for a decent place close to the fun of the mid-strip. Also, liked that it was easy getting in and out of the hotel/casino as opposed to those horribly designed south-strip hotels where you always get lost. I joined the slot club and didn't play too much, but still get mailers for good room rates and perks. I will stay there again!

We just returned from our first stay at Treasure Island. The location is great; the central location makes it easy to get around. Our room was beautiful. We were on the 35th floor with a view of the strip that was breathtaking.

When we arrived a bellman hurried over to take our luggage. My husband was in process of paying limo driver and bellman quickly loaded our bags and directed us to check in. Upon delivery of our bags to our room, I discovered that a bottle of wine I had wrapped and placed in my carry on bag was broken. The bag was soaked and many of the toiletry items in it were damaged as well. He was quite apologetic and advised me to call the bell captain. I understand that accidents do happen but I was quite unprepared for the head bellman's response to this problem. All acknowledged that the breakage occured when my bag was "flung" onto the belt. About 7 minutes into our conversation I was getting testy because I thought that at the least they should offer to replace the wine. Finally I stated that. He was quite sarcastic and began quizzing me about the wine that had broken. One of the things he asked was "Was it a screw cap or a cork?" Then I became angry and he said that he had only been kidding. I told him that they had the broken bottle and they could check on the wine as my husband had packed it and I did not know the kind. What I got delivered was the exact bottle of Beringer and an offer to "wash my bag out it the tub" of the bell stand. I was also chastised profusely for not alerting the bellman who whisked away my bags that there were breakable items inside. I was furious with this as I had no idea that I should request a "fragile" sticker for my bag. This angered me as no other compensation was offered. Beware of the bellman upon check in!!

Comfy room, great service. From the bell staff to the dealers (very friendly) to the cocktail waitresses. Casino gets an 8 only because of lack of low limit tables.

Anecdote: one morning, I was meeting people for breakfast, my girlfriend was coming down later to join us, but not eat. When she did come looking for us, she went to the wrong spot (cafe, we were at the buffet). A waiter saw her looking for something, and asked if he could help. When she replied she was merely looking for someone, he suggested she check the buffet.

Upon arriving at the buffet, the cashier let her through with no hassle or charge to look for us. After she sat down, the waitress (who saw there was o slip in front of her) still offered coffee or juice.

Three different people, in series, all helpful and hassle free. Nice.

The coffee shop food did not have a good selection. All the food had a lot of fat in it. I ordered the terriaki chicken bowl. it did not taste like the Mirage's same item. Mirage food is far superior. I felt like i was at the last change restaurant.

I stayed here in Jan 2002 when I was in town for the CES show.. The rooms were very nice. I like the fact that there was a vent on the window to get fresh air as opposed to only the AC. The rooms were very clean and the bed soft. The pillows could use changing as they were way to soft. I tried to eat at the upscale Chineese and French restraunts (the names escape me) but they were both closed the entire time (4 days) I was there.. So I ate at their cafe counter for breakfeast and after finally finding the deli I ate thee once. The corned beef & kraut were great, the fries were recooked and GREASY!! The slots were good and I had god luck on the $ 5.00 machines as well as the Austin Powers and I dream of Genie nickel machines.. The pirate battle is grate, but do not watch it from behind at the outside tables at the Battle Bar, there is a security guard there whom I will call the SIT DOWN NAZI !!!! Everytime someone even looking like they were trying to stand during the show, this guy ran to then and yelled at them to "SIT DOWN NOW".. I thought it was funny until I tried to leave and go back to the casino. Thats when the SIT DOWN NAZI grabbed me and pushed me down into me chair. Well I was really pissed now and got up to leave and he tried to stop me from standing, I told him to F*** off and that I was stayng there at TI and I left...

TI is wonderful! It is in a great location, we were not charged extra for a strip view (as we found most other hotels do). It looks great, has nice resturaunts and decor. It was very comfortable for me. Not too 'in your face' Vegas and not to upity. I would stay there again and would recommend it for anyone who doesn't travel with kids and isn't into the night life scenes.

Nice rooms. Decent price. Casino was nothing special. Buffet was mediocre @ best. Location can be great, especially if you have kids ( you are where the famous "PIRATE SHOW" takes place. Staff was fine. Close to Fashion Square Mall, if you like to shop. Definitely caters to the "average joe", it seemed to me.

I really liked the rooms at Treasure Island, but the slots were very tight. I did most of my gambling at Casino Royale across the street. The fudge in the candy shop was excellent and the tram over to the Mirage was excellent. I'd stay here again if other places were booked. I'd like to try other properties when I return.

Since the sale of TI to MGM the service has gone downhill. It's now becoming just another cheesy "promo" hotel in Vegas, whereas before it was a legit 4 star hotel. They even took the fine menswear store and put it at the Bellagio because with the new promos, they are attracting a lesser clientelle. That's not to be snobby, but one of the reasons I stay at the nicer hotels is to avoid the hillbillies who run down the hallways hammered drunk at 3am while I am trying to get some sleep. Yes, the good old days of TI being a great value are gone and the bad new days of Kahunaville are here.

If you are looking for a nice place to stay and want to be on the strip there are other options. Thanks a bunch MGM!

Upon check in we did not receive the room that I had requested. We had to move 4 times in a 24 hour period just to get a king size bed on a non-smoking floor. I also was told by the desk not expect to get the room I requested upon reservation because I was just one of 3000 guests staying in the hotel and they couldn't provide for everyone. When I asked for a room upgrade, that I would pay for, I was told that there was nothing available for the duration of our stay. Yet, people we met got a room upgrade for free.
ALso, the walls were thin and you could hear the people next door. When, the noise became unbearable I called down to the desk and they offered to move me for a 5th time, by then I simply refused. They would not even tell the people next door to quiet down.
To get to your room, you have to go through the casino along a very tight walkway. It is very slow as many people are trying to get by. Out of the hundreds of hotel I have ever stayed at this is probably the worse. I have never experienced such poor service from a hotel.

We have stayed at Treasure Island many times, and each time we are treated excellent by the staff. From slot hostess to bartender, all are genuinely friendly and concerned to make your visit as pleasant as can be. Granted, not every Hotel/Casino experience is not perfect, but we have stayed here around a dozen times over the past 5 years, and have always found it to be a wonderful place to stay.

Treasure Island is a nice place. Nothing was great. The pool was overcrowded and small. The casino is small with little variety. The room was nice with a great view of the boat show. The buffet was average. The slot club was poor, and no poker. We would not return, but did not hate the resort. It was average as far as Las Vegas standards go.

I liked Treasure Island; the rooms are spacious and comfortable and, most importantly, clean! And, the staff is friendly. I would cite only two flaws to the place: one, the pool is small and is a bit too crowded; there is not really enough room to swim. I value a nice pool area for at least some exercise, so I found this irritating; I know some other hotels have bigger pools. Secondly, I would never play blackjack there again until they get rid of automatic card shufflers. After each hand, the dealer puts the cards back in the shuffler. So, a player really has very little chance to win anything at all. Beware of these shufflers at any MGM-Mirage property.
Also, the tram to the Mirage is nice to take advantage of to get to the Strip, especially at night, when the front of Treasure Island is really crowded because of the Buccaneer Bay show. I especially recommend the Mirage Buffet for a good meal(I never tried TI's buffet because I had comps at Mirage.). It's a nice hotel in a good central location on the Strip.

We decided after looking at several places to stay in Vegas we decided on
Treasure Island. We stayed 1 week we were on our Honeymoon! We stayed in the
Executive Suite it was the nicest suite I have ever stayed in period!! We had
our own hallway with two tables on either side right before you get to the door.We each had a bathroom, her bathroom was really really big and so was his.
Her bathroom had marble floors with loads of mirrors a place to sit and put on my makeup and a jacuzzi that we both easily could fit in (and we are not small people). His was the same only with a marble shower instead of jacuzzi and a telephone by the toilet. The suite was all done up in gold colors with a pop up tv (really cool) and a bose radio in the entertainment center. We watched the pirate battle from our room (it had floor to ceiling windows). The bed is surrounded by mirrors. For a suite and the money this was the cheapest place we could find a suite (and we called every hotel on the strip). The serves was average but the people were friendly and the show Mystere was wonderful! The casino is average (gamble next door at the mirage) but the shuttle service is great! We saved on walking out in the hot sun alot. The donuts at crispy creme are melt in your mouth tasty.(but expensive) The restaurants are average and the pool was disappointing but this still is the best place to stay especially if you want a suite for a great price(compared to the other places). We payed around 250.00 a night for our suite, was worth every penny!!!

This rating is coming a little late, but i think its one everyone should take the time to read. My girlfriend and I visited Vegas for my 21st B-day, and right from the start everything was going well. I had originally booked an Executive Suite, when i arrived at the check in counter just after 1pm, no rooms had been prepared just yet which wasnt a big deal since check in is 3pm. So the gal at the counter UPGRADED the room to a Tower Suite, which is about $75 extra per night, for free, and we were in a room in no time. This room was awesome to say the least, a huge combined living and bedroom with a His marble bathroom w/steam shower, and a Hers marble bathroom with a HUGE whirlpool bathtub. The only negative side is the Pirate Battle view, we were a couple stories from the top and nothing but the tops of the ships could be seen. Other than that, the level of service throughout the hotel, top to bottom, was superb!! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!!

Now to give reviews on Entertainment, we had a fabulous dinner at Kokomo's @ The Mirage(a definate must) huge proportions and impecible service. After we attended Siegfried & Roy show, great show, but in my opinion not worth $100/ticket. Anyways we also stopped by The Venetian Shoppes, spectacular to say the least with the canals winding through and the gondolas with the singing gondoliers, but the highlight of the Venetian is Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, a must see. We also ventured down the strip to NY NY to ride the roller coaster...stay away, it is the most VIOLENT coaster i have ever experienced. We visited some clubs all three nights of our stay. Studio 54(twice) i think is the BEST club on the strip handsdown, 2 levels, ample dance floor, and 3 bars, and a great EDEN show on Wednesdays. We also visited RA @ the Luxor, wasnt to impressed, small to say the least or too crowded, small dance floor and i think only one bar, but i may be wrong. The last club we visited is Babe's @ Hard Rock, to level club different music in each, great atmosphere, but also too small. The last item on our list was a helecopter ride over the city. You havent seen Vegas until you've seen it from the air, WOW, the pilot knew several facts about the strip and hotels around, and it's well worth the money.

We stayed in July of '01 andit was hot. Saw the Pirate show outside. Go to this show if you want to be trampled and injured and crushed. What a horrible set up!!!! Room was small with very big furniture, but not good for the price. I expected a great funbook or a fridge or something special to come along with teh $119/nt room. Nothing of the sort. it was actuially a very boring roomw ith big furniture. not worth it. casinolimits were low for blackjack, and the casino actually had purse holders!!! A big plus for me. I hate having my purse on my lap or hanging from my arm for the hours I play blackjack. This casino has the game "War" which is rare. Dealers were fun and talkative, but hotel was ot that great.

We stayed at the Treasure Island twice last year. Once in March and then again in August. Both stays were great. The service was awesome and the hotel & casino were very clean. My husband won some money in March but we did not do much in August.I would highly recommend Treasure Island. Would stay here again.

We just returned from visiting Treasure Island and were very impressed. The rooms were great and we had a very good view of the strip. We had some very good eating experiences there. The buffet is ok for breakfast. The Terrace cafe was great for lunch and dined at the Buccaneer Bay for supper. All were very good and most were comp. I like the new MGM*MIRAGE Players Club cards. Having slot and table play rated on the same card is a good idea. I only wish they would speed up getting the other casinos of their chain on the same card. We visit Las Vegas at least twice a year and will return to TI when ever possible.

Great visit for me. Asked to have a room with a view for my father who accompanied us to LV and got two great rooms overlooking the Mirage volcano. The cafe was good and service was fine. Gambled several times and stayed even, which in my book is pretty good. All the table limits rise substantially at night, but even so, they're all pretty full, so can't blame the casino for that. Cirque du Soleil was fabulous - have seen it three times and would go again.

Had an offer from Treasure Island that they did not honor. We made reservations in October for a suite and the offer said to check-in at the
VIP Lounge. We specifically packed up from another hotel to enjoy this offer, went to the VIP Lounge where we were given the room key. Without ever mentioning why, they put us in a tiny little room instead of the suite. I guess there were higher rollers staying in the suite and they didn't want to move them to a room. However, I worry if I ever make reservations for a room instead of a suite, will it also not be available when I show up??? I know they reserve the right to change an offer, but this really does not take the customer into account. Furthermore, the slot club was indignant that I would even bring the matter up. <br>The slot play at TI was very tight and you can never find a cocktail waitress. In my opinion, TI has gone downhill ever since MGM purchased the property. On the other hand, we stayed at Bellagio and had a great time. I wait in anticipation for the day Steve Wynn opens Le Reve. In the meantime, I will choose to stay at other hotels not owned by MGM.
