My wife and I have been to Las Vegas 6 times in the past two years. Some for extended stays and some for just a day or two. Up until this visit, we have always stayed at the Golden Nugget downtown. Our first experience there was tremendous and we always returned. However, this month was our 10th anniversary so I decided to stay on the strip. When we had gone throught the Paris before, we loved the layout and the way it all looked. Hence, we took a hiatus from the Golden Nugget. Our stay at Paris was not bad...just not good and for a hotel of its calibur that surprised me. Here is why it was not good.

1. Upon arrival, a Wednesday night, we had to wait a little over an hour for check-in. There wasn't a lot of people waiting, they just weren't very expeditious in service. At The Golden Nugget I don't believe I have ever waited more then 10 minutes. The valets at Paris were not the quickest either.

2. Overall service was lacking. We are not high rollers by any means. However, I figure just in restaraunts and other amenities, we easily dropped 750.00. Yet service everywhere in the hotel was once again not terrible, just not good.

I may sound like I am being picky, but after repeated exceptional stays at Golden Nugget, I expected a lot for double the money. I was wrong. The facility was beautiful, the theme was cool (not overdone but true to form), and the location was tremendous. Past that though, I was not impressed.

The hotel is lovely and true to its theme, but there were some annoyances that will prevent my staying here again.
1. Cobbleston walkways - very attractive, but oh so hard on the feet. Everyone does so much walking in Vegas - a more comfortable floor would have been a big plus.
2. Lack of amenities in the room. No shower cap, no sewing kit, no mouthwash. Only got soap (nice soap, though), shampoo, moisturizer and bath gel. I thought this was pretty stingy.
3. Messups in the casino. I play VP, mostly for a quarter, but I'll move up to a buck if things are going well. There was a bank of machines that said "Game King Multi Denomination" Perfect, right? But when I sat down, the machine itself said $5, as did all the machines in that bank. I pointed it out to a casino person, and she shrugged it off, saying they must have run out of $5 signs, no big deal. I was very surprised by her attitude, and said I didn't think that this was a sign of a first-class operation, but it didn't seem to bother her at all.
ALSO, on my last day, I was playing at a coins only machine, was ahead and deicded to cash out, but the machine read "Hopper Jammed". Put on the light, and waited 14 minutes (I timed it) till someone showed up. She checked the machine and said the hopper wasn't jammed, but that wasn't getting me my money. She went away to find a supervisor (another 12 minutes) who finally paid me what they owed me. My traveling companion was about to check out and I wanted to say goodbye to her, but almost missed her because of their slowness.

I will say, however, that the bell staff was very courteous and prompt, and the Eiffel Tower tour was wonderful.

The above complaints may sound petty, but they will prevent me from visiting the Paris again.

Nice hotel, good service, good location. If you like to gamble, go somewhere else to gamble. The casino does not offer good odds and comps are basicly non existent.
The casino was very busy, but probably with convention visitors or ones like me who was to lazy to go elsewhere. It suprises me with all the competition, but maybe gambling is not their main source of revenue.

Magnificent lobby and casino. Hotel desk people are very snooty and unfriendly; they refused to give me a map or brochure. I never stayed there but I don't like the attitude. Beautiful outside at night. Views from Eiffel Tower nice but obstructed by wire fences on all sides; you feel like you're in jail. Tower observatory doesn't accocomodate enough visitors, I got pushed and nearly dropped my camera.

We enjoyed our stay at the Paris. We stayed in one of the P suites. It was very roomy and we had a magnificent view of the Bellagio fountains. Some of the furnishings looked a little worn.

This place is perfect for the romantic couple. Ask for the "P" room. Its a room that is slightly bigger and have two sets of windows on two walls. Perfect for it's location. You can walk across the street to Bellagio or have dinner with a patio view along the strip at Ah Sin. The casino is small and there are some rude Europeans that like to stay here. Pool is not as great.

Spent two nights at a special hotel Web site rate of 99/night. Arrived
around 4 p.m. Sunday. The registration area was packed with people, but
the line moved amazingly fast. Man at front desk was very friendly, slipped
him a 20 and got a room on the 7th floor with a fabulous view of the pool
out of a large picture window. Room was small but beautifully annointed
with king bed, armoir with TV, love seat, desk and chair. Only thing
missing was a comfortable arm chair or recliner. Nice to have Internet
access on TV. Bathroom also was small but had a tub and separate
shower that was very convenient.

The Paris casino is beautiful, but packed with people at all times. I played
blackjack while the better half played nickle slots. BJ offerings not so
good, mostly shoes with 6 decks. They offer 6-5 single deck, but only a
fool would play that. Unfortunately, there were plenty of them playing.
Better half found the slots to be tight.

We ate at the buffet which was delicious with imaginary French dishes.
High marks for the pastries and breads especially. Service at buffet was
only adequate.

We also visited Mandalay Bay, which is also a nice place. Gaming was
just so-so. Ate at Raffles Cafe, but found it lacking in service and quality
of food.

Got hotel coupon for $5 off on room service, so we had breakfast in our
room the last day. Chocolate croissants were delicious.

We will definitely be back!

Wow, what a fabulous experience. I found the Paris through an internet special, and had no idea what to expect. I was totally impressed. The hotel is immaculately clean, the service is top notch and the environment is high class all around. I slipped the front desk clerk a 20 and we got a room on the 19th floor facing the strip and looking down on the pool at Paris as well as the fountains at Bellagio. It was totally worth the 20 bucks. All the restaurants are excellent as was the entertainment. We heard the Jazz concert they have on sunday night on the pool level and it was quite good. I had heard people complain about the size of the casino but I actually could have cared less....casino's are a dime a dozen in Vegas and Paris is clearly not about the Casino. The view up and down the strip from the Eiffel Tower was incredible at night. I was particularly impressed by all of the re-creations of famous landmarks in Paris. This was my first time ever staying overnight in Vegas and I would recommend it highly to anyone considering staying there.

Stayed at the Paris hotel for 2 nights with wife on our anniversary. The service at this hotel from luggage assistance to front desk was excellent. This hotel is a great value for mid week stays. I really enjoyed the street entertainment and the stores and restaurants. I will come back here again, without the kids of course. Vegas is great but not a place for kids.

When you check-in, ask for a "P98" room. The higher up you go, the better the view of the Bellagio Fountains. The "P" rooms are on the corner. There are eight corners. Be sure you get the "98" corner. This overlooks the fountains from the side window. Slide the small, almost hidden air vents open, to hear the music from the fountains. These "P" rooms are the best rooms in Vegas for the view/decor/money. And don't forget to leave a tip for the maid.

We have stayed at the Paris for the past 3 years, but this was our best trip yet. They sent us an offer in the mail for 2 comped nights with a suite upgrade and we took advantage of it. We had a "P" suite on the top floor which was big and beautiful. The service was out of this world. Housekeeping had our schedule down pat and cleaned the room within 30 minutes of us leaving for breakfast, turned down our beds at night and added fresh towels for the evening. The whole staff was outstanding. The comp center gave us VIP line passes so we did not have to wait in the long line for breakfast. Comps were very generous. The restaurants were fabulous. The Paris could teach some of the other resorts how to treat their guests. I won't stay anywhere else.

BEWARE!!!! We wanted to stay at Paris Hotel for the LONGEST time, finally when we got there, we were VERY disapointed!!!! We expected this wonderful romantic hotel, instead we were in for quite a shock. The reception area is SMALL and extemely crowded, the lines are not marked properly, and upon arrival we spent 20 minutes in the WRONG line :-( They didn't have our king room open at the time of our arrival, we were sooo very tired, we said we'd take the double queen room instead....the bedspreads were washed out and old, and the carpet was stained all over!!! The employee at the front desk didn't bother to tell us that if you give them your credit card, they will put a HOLD on the card @ $150 dollars per day you stay.....we accidentally gave him our debit card, they put a RIDICULOUS amount of money on hold on our card and we didn't have access to our money for 24 hours! They were not accomadating once they realized that they made a mistake, and we spent a good 6 hours trying to rectify the situation so that we could pull money out of our account to get back to the airport the next day!!!! WHAT MISERY at PARIS HOTEL.....Don't go to the buffet, but DO GO TO MON AMIE GABI and the Eiffel Tower at night.....if you don't have $300.00 to spend on dinner at the Eiffel Tower restaurant, go to the bar and have two drinks for approximately $50, expensive, (but the view is WONDERFUL) and camp out for a bit....Bottom line.... DON'T STAY at PARIS HOTEL, stay somewhere else...do VISIT during the day and eat at Mon Ami Gabi!!!We hope you have a MUCH better stay than we did!!!!

After our last trip to the Paris in June we've decided to move around a bit and try out some other hotels. Reason: the machines at Paris and Bally's were dead, dead, dead. So I used my "Connection" card at Caesars and won back some of my Paris losses. I also met with my Paris "host" for the first time and learned that (1) playing with the "Connection" card at other included resorts adds to your "cashback" points, but NOT to your "comp" account; and therefore, my level of play at the Paris was down so much I was demoted from a "level 2" player to a "level 4" player. Meaning I can get free rooms, but that's it - all else will depend on level of play on any given trip. So our next stay will be at Caesars, which has been sending us generous invitations as most of my play was there in June, because there are certain banks of machines at Caesars I can always rely on to pay off well. Of course we'll visit the Paris while there, because it's such a beautiful resort, and try our hand at the machines here and there, but unless we get some better payback, we won't waste much time playing there anymore. Sad - of course all the casinos deny it, but there's no doubt in my mind that they periodically change the chips in the machines, and that casinos are in general, especially since 9-11, tightening the machine payback with new chips, and also tightening up on comps. Two years ago our former casino "host" at the Paris told us that to maintain our "level 2" status they wanted to see a minimum of 4 hours of play per day. This time I was told they want to see a minimum of 5-6 hours of play per day to regain that status. Hell, you can go broke fast at that level of play, and miss out on a lot of fun you could be having visiting the sights, etc. So, sorry to say, it's "hasta la vista" Paris, for now.

This was our first stay at The Paris and we were not disappointed! Room upgrade to a "P" room with view of strip,Eiffel tower, and Bellagio fountains. Great bathroom. Casino is clean,no smoke smell,a bit cool at times. Cocktail service was very slow-I played in the Champagne Slots. Had the buffet for breakfast and dinner and I must say it was out of this world. Love the "total" hotel experience and easy walk to Bally's and Aladdin. Tight machines, decent comps, would stay again.

First time in Las Vegas and it was made much better by staying at the Paris Hotel and Casino.

The view from our room was looking at the Eiffel Tower and the fountains at Bellagio. Excellent.

Not really a place to take kids because the entertainment was just gambling. Even its sister casino, Bally's, which was easily accessed through an inside connecting shopping walk, was still for adults. If you want to put your kids through the drudgery of taking them to "sin city", stay at Circus Circus, not one of the casinos that mainly cater to adults.

This was my first time staying here and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Had a Calais Suite (known also as a "P" Room). Very comfortable, dead on view of the Eiffel Tower and Bellagio Fountains - I saw the fountain show so many times that I started taking it for granted !!! They definatly take the theme to the max here. Casino a bit on the small side. Would definatly recommend.

Had a wonderful visit and for the price ($89 per night) very nice, clean & comfortable. Loved the atmosphere. The room we had did not have a great view of the strip (we could have waited for a better room but we needed to check-in early) however our floor was quiet, which was a nice surprise considering the large amount of convention business that was there at the time. The staff was overall very attentive for the exception of some of the retail personnel. Highly recommend Mon Amie - ate there for both lunch & dinner and the meals were delicious and the prices reasonable (with the exception of $8.50 for a cocktail - ouch!) Everyone raved about the brunch buffet at the Paris but we found the Belaggio Buffet to be fantastic and impressive, especially if you are not into buffets to begin with. The casino was on the small side but again, the location provides easy access to Bally's, Bellagio & Caesars. Looking forward to staying there again!

Flew Continental from Newark NJ to Las Vegas. Not a bad flight but seats are crammed (I miss National Airlines). Flight was smooth, and luggage was right on time. Got rental car from Dollar, best price! Drove to Paris hotel, having been to Las Vegas many times I know to stay off the strip. Tried to check in at 11:30, All the windows had check out signs. We asked one clerk and she replied very rudely, "CHECK IN IS AT 3 PM". Took a drive around town and returned at 3 PM. Using a tip from another website slipped a 20 in between ID and credit card and inquired about upgrade. The clerk said that nothing was available today but would move us the next day. He was so grateful for the tip and then the next day was true to his word. We were upgrade to a "P" suite on the 32 floor. A great room and better view. Made the trip! I would stay there again. As far as show, we saw Siegfried and Roy and Penn & Teller. I thought Penn & Teller were much better than Siegfried and Roy. Just my opinion. Visited NY-NY 9-11 memorial. Very moving since I am a retired NYPD officer and lost 14 close friends then. UNLV and the hotel have created a very touching memorial. All in all it was a wonderful visit to Las Vegas

A very classy place from the rooms, food, entertainment and casino. Slots were loose and won a few jackpots. A nice strip view room across from the Bellagio Fountains. Nothing like it at night view. Ask for a "P" room upon check in and the room is beautiful with 2 sets of windows. Buffet was awesome and was Le Provencal. This is my 3rd stay here in the last 12 months and would stay here again. Ate at the buffet which had excellent food. Didn't win much but what friendly employees. They were prompt and efficient. Had reserved a car at airport from Dollar for a trip to San Diego. Did not have to go to airport as the fellow at the Dollar counter at the Paris was quick to accommodate us. Would absolutely, definitely, stay in this classy hotel again, especially at the price.

We stayed here during February and were very pleased. We arrived to the paris at about 9:30 am on a saturday. When we checked in they told us that our room would not be ready until 3:00pm. My girlfriend went to the bathroom and I gave the lady registering us a twnety and told her that we were getting engaged while we were here. We upgraded to a suite and were in our room by 11:30am. The suite was well worth the 50 dollars extra per night. It had a jacuzzi in the room with plenty of room for two people. The spacious room was great. there was also a budet in the room. A word to the wise- when you are on the 15th floor leave some time for the water to get all the way up there. the budet has the power to shoot water several feet into the air. While i was checking it out i was leaned over it wondering why the water hadnt come out yet and turning it on higher, when it came out with such force it almost knocked my glasses off my face and soaked me. Well we had a long hard laugh about that. Overall this hotel was a fantastic place to stay. We didnt see many kids in the hotel which was great. It was nice to go on vacation and not have to put up with other peoples kids having temper tantrums and such.

What a great place, and what a wonderful room! We had a wonderful time, and for those that tell you that "going to Vegas isn't about the room," tell them to stay at the Paris next time and you'll change their minds! A quick breakdown:

+ For a few extra bucks a night, you can ask at the desk for a Strip-view room. Considering the location right across from the Bellagio, it is well worth the money. We stayed on the 33rd floor, and found that nights in the room, with the lights off, a nice cocktail, and the curtains open for a full overview of the dancing Bellagio fountains, were wonderful!

+ The room was very nicely appointed, all modern and clean facilities, and was one of the nicer hotel rooms I've EVER stayed in, and I've stayed in a lot of them!

+ Great food selection in the hotel if you don't want to go too far; everything we ate there was good, and we were able to find a nice range from quick pastries for breakfast to very nice dinners.

- My only negative comment is about the casino; I am not schooled in the psychology of how to design the layout of a casino, but neither is the person that did the Paris. It feels very cramped, and the selection seems very small compared to other properties. I gambled very little here.

Overall, we had a great time at the Paris, and will definitely stay there again on our next Vegas trip!

Checked in January 2nd for five days. A long line at check in at 11 A.M. We had a corner "P" room with a partial strip view. Room and bath very clean. Asked for extra pillows and received them very promptly. Slots were very tight, and same for VP machines. Ate breakfast at the cafe, food and service OK. Our last night we had a wonderful dinner at Mon Ami Gabi. Sat outside, with a wonderful view of the Bellagio fountains. Very nice and would stay here again if the price was right.

Stayed at Paris for the second time for my 3rd anniversary and had a blast! The room at the end of the hall was fantastic, huge, and had gorgeous views! The reservations and check-in clerks were fabulous, and so very helpful. For the quality of the room and overall feel of the property, Paris rates as a very good value for the money; more than some properties, but worth it for the overall ambiance. And as far as the "weird" soap is concerned (per another comment), yeah, it's NOT Zest! It's REAL French soap! It smells WONDERFUL and works great! Another great thing in Paris is the cigar lounge. Even if you're not a smoker, the atmosphere and live bands are fantastic. And what fabulous couches! The hotel and just about everything about it come HIGHLY recommended!

This is a great hotel rivaling the Aladdin in atmosphere and great rooms. I paid for the
room upgrade this time and it was well worth it. I had a view of the Eiffel Tower, pool, and
Bellagio fountains. I could open the vents of the window and could just barely hear the
music floating across the street. There is a lovely sitting area right near the windows for
relaxing and taking in the sites. I am defintley going to start trying the 20/50/100 rule in
the future to save a few extra bucks. As far as the bathrooms are concerned, there is a
glass shower and separate tub. The tub isn't as large as the Aladdin but pretty nice just
the same. I definitley reccomend this hotel to other Vegas lovers!

Well first of all I was there for my wedding, so all I wanted was for things to run smoothly, And that it did...... got to the hotel and bell cap was very friendly. Check in was ok.. since having my wedding there and having 24 people stay at the sister hotel Bally's and have a reception in the Paris hotel I thought they could have accomadated a little more, like a bigger suite. However they gave us a Suite for our first night then charged us an additional 50 for the next 3 nights. Ok, so far so good. The room was very nice but no view, well a brick wall and a piece of the Aladin Hotel was all we saw. We had a supurb bathroom though.. So I go check out the chapel. OUTSTANDING !!!!! If you are looking to get married in Vegas ( this place is great) The whole thing went well except they didnt play a song I requested during the unity candle service in memory of my grandmother so everyone was disapointed and when I asked why the next day they just acted like it was no big deal and said something happened to the CD.. But whatever,, The best part of the whole evening was the resturantwe picked to have our dinner for 26 people. It was ORTAINQUE located where Paris and Bally's meet.. OH MY GOD this place did such a fantastic job. The music was great ( live jazz band ) and the wait staff couldnt have been better, The food to say the least was OUTSTANDING , everyone couldnt get over the food,, My compliments to the chef and to my hostess Kathy.. So overall my visit was great and I will be back to the paris hotel and back to Ortainque for dinner and to hear the band play. hve to go check out the rates now to plan my next trip... PS. if getting married there make sure you bring your own music and dont reley on them. But do take a pckage that includes a video, He does a great job and its worth it........

I just completed my 8th trip to Las Vegas over a 3 year period. I have stayed at 5 different hotels. For the first time since I began coming to Vegas, I am no longer searching for a different place to stay. Paris is it! Upon arriving at the hotel I was informed that no strip view rooms were available due to the fact that I arrived late in the day and that there was a convention in town. They then offered me a suite for a $50.00 upgrade on what was normally an $800.00 room. I jumped at that. The room had a large marble foyer,a wet bar, a living room, 2 bathrooms and a Jacuzzi.
The restaurants were superb. Whether we ate at the more casual cafe or the Eiffel Tower restaurant we had excellent service and food that simply is not matched in overall quality by any other hotel we have stayed at or visited during the last 3 years. The lobster thermador at the Eiffel Tower is not to be missed, nor is the pastry at Le Notre, or the Village Buffet. While no more expensive than the buffet at Rio (which was not in the same league) we were treated to magnificently prepared and elegantly presented genuine, French cuisine. I know from having studied in France for a time that the food at Paris is authentic.
The dealers at the casino were much improved from the last time I played there and the cocktail waitresses are always around. The slots are a little tight, but the comps are good if you happen to lose a moderate to large amount of money. I actually came out ahead in the casino and still was comped a great deal.
The service in the hotel was wonderful. Everyone from the bellman to the restaurant managers, to the pit bosses were always asking us if we were enjoying our stay and could they help us with anything. It's not the cheapest place in Vegas, but like I always say... Vegas is not a place for you to be if you can't afford it. I always feel sorry for those who get a good airfare or hotel rate and find that they can't afford Vegas once they get there. There's no more $1.99 steak and eggs. If you are considering your first trip to town then be prepared to spend more on food; not less and the average quality production show will cost more than &60.00 per person. Having stayed at Bellagio, Mandalay and Paris I can say this...The additional costs are worth it if you don't want to be bothered by loud teenagers with fake IDs or drunks in wife beater shirts stinking up the blackjack tables and trying to pick up the female dealers.

I was a Vegas Virgin and wanted to make my first time very special. (Don't we all) This is the perfect place to stay for the first timer. It has all the glamour and ritzy-ness of Vegas with the perfect location for seeing the sights for us. Let's start from the start:
- ATA out of Midway (Chicago) sucks and nothing will ever change that. My advice, bring your own snacks and if you are plus sized forget about it, SKINNY SEATS and jammed packed flight.
- If you do fly ATA you will need to take the shuttle to the main terminal to fing the hotel check-in (do this, it is worth it)
- I tried the $20.00 trick. I handed her the cards and money and requested a strip view room on a high floor. she said it would be an extra 20.00 per night. I said I didn't care because it was our anniversary (two weeks earlier) and it was the first vacation without the kids in 6 years (ok 4 but either way it's pathetic). She smiles, HANDS ME BACK THE 20 and says I won't charge you and gives us a view on the 17th floor. Over all pretty nice.
-WATCH THE PHONE CHARGES. This hotel charges you $1.25 just to call the 800 credit card number. Best bet, Use the pay phones in the lobby, nice enclosed boxes.
- Take advantage of the monorail from Bally's
- The casino is very noisy at night because of a live band but it's fun. If you're not a real gambler (LLLLLOOOOOWWWWW Roller) it's a nice casino but don't expect much in comps. Bally's is nice too but smokey.
- The room safe is very nice
- Don't drink the bottled water in the bathrooms, It's 4.50 a pop.
- The soap in the shower is a weird, oatmealish/lava texture. Smells OK I guess.
- Don't go in the Eiffel tower if you are prone to vertigo and not a fan of heights. No matter how much to try to convince yourself that it is only a few minutes out of your life and your engineer of a husband talks to you about integrity of steel and having faith in designers, you will end up sobbing and shaking at the top and looking like an idiot. Not that I would know, ya' know people talk.... you hear things......
- Stay on the Center and South strip. We found the North strip to be over- ridden with children and white trash. Snobs? Us?- you better believe it.

Overall I would say this is a nice "special-special" occasion place but I think we'll look for cheaper on our next trip.

This was my first visit to Las Vegas, so my comments come with that caveat. When we
first arrived, I was a little disappointed. I am a Hilton Honors member (be sure and show
your card to get Honors Points) and for the price I expected something as nice as your
typical Hilton (price was $200.00 a night - busy season/weekend). It was no where near
as nice as most Hiltons I have stayed in with the exception of marble floors in the
bathroom and crown molding throughout. The rooms were too small. The bathroom has
a tiny sink that is not well lit. Our tub was small and wouldn't drain well. So, my wife would
finish her shower and by the time I finished showering after her, the water would be
above my ankles. A few other negatives and then I'll get to the positives. The rooms do
not have closets, they have armoirs. A nice french touch, but the closets in the armoirs
are not tall enough to accomodate a full length dress. Thus, the bottom of my wife's nice
dress was crumpled at the floor. The armoirs do have personal safes which was a great
feature. The ironing board is the small, table top type--it has to be small enough to fit in
the armoir-- sure does make it difficult to iron-- I should have ironed my clothes in
advance. Also, when the maid service came, she didn't drain the water out of the iron. I
was shocked when I got to my room that night and found that the water had leaked out of
the iron where it is kept on a top shelf of the armoir and onto my clothes. I'm just glad it
didn't leak onto my wife's suede jacket. The hotel was packed. We arrived late in the
evening and I was pissed when I was told that all the king size rooms were already
taken. I had reserved a king size bed months in advance. After getting a little huffy they
gave us a king size designed for handicapped. (railing in the bathroom). The toiletries
were not Neutrogena (like I usually get at the Hilton) and there was no fancy towl folding.
I would say the rooms were comporable to a Hampton Inn as opposed to a Hilton.

Okay, enough bad stuff. The casino was our favorite of all the strip hotels with the
exception of the Bellagio and the Ceasar's Palace, which were both out of our league
anyway. The food was wonderful. The shops were nice and the street performers were a
lot of fun. I don't know that we would go back just because we like to try new things and
will probably try the aladdin next door. However, even with all the negatives mentioned
above, we still really enjoyed our stay. The staff seemed genuinely concerned that we
were happy and enjoyed ourselves. And we can now say we have stayed at Paris.

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Paris hotel. Asked for an upgrade during checkin and received a beautiful room overlooking the eiffel tower and Bellagio fountains at no additional cost. Also highly recommend the buffet. Tremendous choice of many entrees and desserts to die for, set in an unusual outdoorlike ambiance. We sampled other buffets, but always came back to the Paris buffet.

We have stayed at Paris Las Vegas five times in last two years. Elegant and warm hotel and casino, mostly friendly and courteous staff (one casino host with bad attitude dampened last visit), and decent table games (blackjack rules have deteriorated in last year or so, and they have added the awful 6/5 single deck blackjack). Stay at Paris and gamble there and at Bally's and your play is rated as one casino. We have enjoyed excellent discount room rates based on my moderate ($20-$30 per hand) table play.

Stayed here in October. Tried to use two offers back to back and it backfired. Evidently, one reservation was cancelled because when we showed up to check in, the second reservation was on file, but the first reservation had been cancelled so we had no place to stay and the hotel was full. But with some assistance from Chad at the front desk, a slot host, and Lei in VIP services, they put us up at Bally's for those nights and we later moved over to Paris under the second reservation. The room they gave us at Bally's was very nice and when we went back to Paris two days later, we upgraded to a LeMans Suite for only $40 more a night (original reservation was for $59) and this room was the nicest we have stayed in anywhere. All of the staff we encountered were just great. We would definately stay here again and look forward to another visit.

Actual dates of stay 10/99 and 10/2000, and visited on 4/03

I booked my stays at Paris on the Internet thru their home page. One of the nice features of their website, and many other hotels in Vegas is the rate calendar. Definite thumbs up for that - very handy when you want to avoid a convention week. My most recent visit to Las Vegas would have had me staying at Paris had we not had to visit the convention center - for that we chose to stay at Paris's sister hotel, the Hilton. I made sure I visited tho :)

The only check-in issue I had one time was after I had made reservations over the Internet for a Columbus Day weekend stay - when I checked into the hotel the clerk tried to charge me a higher rate - luckily I had printed out my Internet reservations and the clerk quickly fixed the error after I showed her the print out.

The rooms are nicely furnished and easy to get to from the reception area. The staff is friendly and attentive with any matter you need assistance with. My advice - ditch the phony French accents. Its hard not laugh when someone says Bonjour or Merci with a Southern drawl. The casino is beautifully decorated to make you feel Parisien - I absolutely love the sky and how the way the walkway to Bally's is made to look like a Paris street. The easy access to Bally's is another reason I like to stay at Paris - having the two casinos available without having to leave the building is the best. The walk to Bally's from Paris is also short. I am not a big gambler but I did find the slots of Paris a little tight. :-)

My room didn't have a "Bellagio" view, but it was good enough so I could see the beautiful mountains that surround the city. My friend on the other hand had a front view room on a prime floor and had an excellent view of the fountains. He said he liked being woken up to the sound of them going starting up in the morning. THe next time I stay at Paris I might try some of the tips I've read on this website to give me a room with a better view.

I think Paris has one of the best buffets I have been to in Las Vegas - the price isn't the cheapest but the food is always fresh and well presented. While the wait might look long, the line moves pretty fast. Once inside the staff is pretty attentive at getting you your beverage and very friendly.

Besides the buffet, I've eaten at Mon Ami Gabi, the food was a bit pricey, but was excellent and the wait staff was very attentive. This restaurant also has a fine selection of wines as well. I would definitley eat there again. We ate inside the restaurant but you can eat at an outside terrace also. I wasn't sure I wanted to do that because that evening the strip was packed with people and I thought it would be a little quieter inside :)

I also visited the bakery located not far from the elevators - the prices are a little high but the pastries were fresh and very tasty.

I felt very comfortable in the pool area - its very simple and not as elaborate as some of the other hotels - the wait staff was very attentive when ordering drinks. I didn't use the pool but my friend used it and said it was clean and refreshing.

I am always one in search of a great view of any city - while the $9 price for the ride up the tower might be expensive, its a must for any shutter bug. Before you are taken to the tower, you are forced to have your photograph taken - along the railing with the casino as a backdrop. After you enter the elevator, the staff gives you some facts about the tower, and before you know it you're at the top. My advice to Paris is that they need larger openings in the fence around the top of the tower for photography and more of them. Also, there ins't a lot of room if you want to bring a tripod up there. You can stay up there as long as you want also. I've got lots of nice photos from up there - even with the small holes in the fence. You really get a feel for how big these casinos are when you go to the observation deck. I've heard the night views are incredible - so far I have only ventured up there during the day. The photograph taken of me was offered for sale after my visit to the tower - the price quoted was for 2 copies of the photo and a little steep - they try to make it seem like you are getting a deal 2 for the price of 1, but the photo is simply placed in a colorful cardboard folding frame. On my first visit to Paris I was happy to purchase the one photo slid into a nice plastic holder, originally offered. Go back to the plastic and lower the price a bit and more people will buy them :)

Thanks for reading my review.

There seemed to be no concierge on duty most of the time we were there (Surprising considering the $ we were paying) and when there was he was SWAMPED by guests. Check-in took over an hour and, despite the fact it was MY HONEYMOON, they screwed up our room giving us two beds and a lovely view of the ROOF! And, we got no apology, upgrade offer, or, explanation as to why the room was wrong despite what we were promised upon making reservations. The staff seemed irritable, overworked, and couldn't of cared less.

Returned this morning from a three days stay at Paris. Received suite upgrade from Chad at checkin as an anniversary comp. Room was clean, quiet and spacious though the view was on the Bally's side. Excellent value for a relatively busy August weekend. Bargain hunters should check and recheck the web for room deals right up until arrival day. Pool area was very nice. Water temp. and service was excellent. Casino is very crowded with lookers but not too bad for players. A very nice visit.

first the good...nice bathroom, nice theme, good location

the bad...no cocktail waitresses in the casino. one time we played in the same area for 3 hours and not one waitress. very expensive gift shops and food. the slots were very tight. lost a lot of money there and only got comped one night out of 5. maids were very loud in the hallways. service at Bally's next was great. Don't understand that since owned by the same company. Very small pool and the lounge floats for the pool cost $10 a day you would think they could give you a floatie for the pool for free for $119 a night. Which by the way was supposed to be a premier room with a view of the pool and eiffel tower but was completely blocked by a huge tree in front our window.

We stayed here after our wedding and very much enjoyed it. I personally loved waking early and walking down the cobblestone "street", eating my french pastery. I took my girlfriend here for her 21st birthday. It was the first time she had been to LV so she was pretty excited. I had been there once before so I knew what to expect. To start off, airport check-in was quick and easy. The room was quite large and was clean with well kept facilities. We had a corner room without much of a view but it was still nice. Ate dinner at the Eiffel Tower restaurant...$$$ but had a front row seat for the Bellagio fountain show. My girlfriend was enchanted with everything, the fountains, the romantic ambiance, it was great. She (so we) spent most of her time at the slots. She had a great time losing all of her money. We didn't stay there too long. We won most of our money at Caesar's. The pool was ok, just a big circular hole in the ground. Overall, our stay was quite pleasant. The service, rooms, and location were all great. The casino was a little tight, but who cares when you are so close to most of the top casinos on the strip. I would definitely stay there again, but I'm going to try some other hotels just to see what else is out there.

My fiance and I went to Las Vegas to get married, and we wanted to stay at a nice hotel. I checked the ratings, which were good, and we even upgraded our room for the extra $20/night. Since we were able to check in at the airport, we did so at 3:30 pm-they said the room wasnt ready, but we could go to the VIP check in at the hotel once we got there. We got there at 4:30-still no room-they said check in was between 3 and 7 pm??? Once we finally got a room-the view was nice, but not worth it. The restaurants in the hotel are for the most part right next door to each other. One night we ate at the cheaper restaurant..the next night we ate the $50/per person steakhouse and was shocked to notice the exact same placesettings, baked potatoes, and steaks that we had the night before....for $30 more dollars-it makes you feel cheated. We stayed there for a week-after that first night we dreaded going back to the hotel...for the $20 upgrade room and aweful service. Never again.

My primary complaint about the room was the shower: one of those shower heads that sprays water out in a big circle, leaving the top of your head dry.

The concierge was helpful, but the desk was understaffed; once we waited in line for over 30 minutes while the woman in front of us took care of a stack of paperwork. We only wanted to pick up a map of the strip.

The place was very crowded. There were long lines to eat at most restuarants. The lines were so long, it made it difficult to walk around the area where the shops were.

Loved the ambience of the village. The casino was much like any other casino. The assistants in restaurants and shops seemed rushed and not too friendly. Restaurants were great. The hotel room was not as good as we expected, it was supposed to be "deluxe" but some of the furniture was stained, a cushion was split and torn, the holder for the toilet tissue in the bathroom came off the wall, and the pillows were lumpy. Also the maid bothered us 3 times, asking when we were leaving, despite telling her the first time she asked exactly when we would be leaving.

I visited during the week of July 4th. I rented two rooms. It was my daughter's 21st birthday, so I wanted it to be special. My husband and I got a P room upon request, and we didn't have to pay extra. My daughter's room was next door. I requested a room with a view, and I had a partial view of the Bellagio fountains. We were able to check in at the airport. I did find this very convenient because when we arrived at the hotel, the check in line was unbelievably long. Another good thing was that we were able to check in early. I believe it was around 11:30am......we were very thankful for that because we were so tired. When we arrived at our room, we layed down to take a nap for a couple of hours. Well, thank goodness we put the chain on the door because someone tried to break in our room. They didn't knock, just pushed open the door. My husband thought it was our daughter in the next room, but I told him I had both the door keys and it wasn't her. By the time we got up to check it out, the person had gone. We called security and they came up very quickly. Anyway, our room was nice, but not $200 worth of nice x's 2 rooms. In other words, $400 nightly for 5 nights. Many of the light bulbs in our room were burned out.....one of the pillows on our loveseat was ripped out on the backside..our comforter, as well as our daughter's had an unbelievable smell that made me sick to my stomach. We requested two new ones, and they smelled the same way, so I decided that it wouldn't do any good to request more. Some of the casino staff were rude to my daughter in the way they would request her ID to make sure she was of age. We decided to spend very little time in the Paris casino, and made our way to Bally's a lot. My daughter was treated much better over there. I go to Las Vegas at least twice a year, and this was my first visit to Paris, but I can guarantee that it will be my last!

Just came back from a week at the Paris. I had bought a flight / hotel package, which usually ends you up in a room with no view. We arrived late sunday, and asked for a room switch starting Monday. We had to pay an extra $20 a night, but we got a "P" corner room on the 21st floor, with views of the Tower, pool, strip, Bellagio fountains,,, very nice. The room was very nice, huge bathrooms. I never slept well though, beds were a bit bouncy. I love the hotel and casino. I spent most of my time in the Paris casino - I found the surrounding casinos - Bally's, Flamingo, especially to be full of grumpy, old, fat dealers who were no fun at all. The table dealers at Paris were great and we had a great time playing there. I was playing Blackjack a lot, mostly 10 - $25 bets. In the end, I got comped about $40 worth of food. I ate at Mon Ami Gabi and Les Artiste Steakhouse. Both were very nice. If you eat at Mon Ami gabi, stay away from the cheaper steaks- they are thin and not very impressive. I ordered the Filet Mignon and it was very good. Les Artiste was even better, very nice place and we had a great waitress who was very nice and not snooty at all. Nice atmostphere plus you get $20 coupon for signing up for a players card.
I don;t really like the location as much as the four corners. The four corners is better if you like to Casino hop and go out at night.

We stayed for three nights. Our whole family was there for a wedding. My daughter and her husband we upgraded to a honeymoon suite which was lovely. The rest of our rooms were fine but no view and when another person in our party needed a room, they got a better view even though it was only for one night and the rate was less. The people at the check in desk had a hard time getting things straight but they were fairly pleasant about it. Not having a closet is somewhat difficult as my long dress puddled up on the floor of the wardrobe. I did enjoy my stay but was disappointed that the upgrade was so much money when the hotel was not full.

OK, after staying many times at multiple properties in Vegas, I've stayed at Paris my last four trips...but actually did more gambling at Ballys. Paris is a great place to stay just for the novelty of it. Beautiful, first class facility but I don't think its a good candidate for a "home" hotel/casino. Its a little pricey, comps are tight (typical for the strip) and the "oui, bon jour, ohh la la" gets a little old after a few stays. But would definately recommend it to anyone for a first stay! Can't beat the view of the fountains at Bellagio. Mon Ami Gabbi is a very good restaraunt too. Property is an excellent location. The safe in your room is a nice feature. Not real crazy about the buffet. Its got some French dishes that I reckon a country boy from Alabama just can't appreciate.
Slots are a little tight so watch out (I did hit a $2500 jackpot on a $5 machine on my last trip though). Also, watch out for the single deck BJ that pays 6 to 5 for a blackjack rather than 3 to 2 (got 'em at Ballys too)....what a rip-off!!!!! But they do have regular blackjack from a shoe. Just be careful which table you sit down at. They also have single 0 roulette.
Another thing, be careful if taking a cab from the airport. Make sure to say "Paris with a P"!!!! If not the cabbie might "accidently on purpose" take you to or toward Harrahs so he can run up the bill. Then he'll say "Oh, I thought you said Harrahs".
Anyway, here's the most important thing...ITS VEGAS BABY! HAVE FUN AND WIN SOME $$$$!!!!!!

What I did was walk up, tell the check-in person that I was here to check in and that I would like to see if it was possible to upgrade to a suite. It was here that I learned a few tricks on my own. He checked and said that I was booked under the casino (from a flyer I had received in the mail). I looked perplexed at him and it was then that he explained that a he was able to upgrade 'hotel' guests to a suite, but not casino guests. I didn't even know there was a difference! The only person who could upgrade me to a suite was a slot host (i.e someone from the casino). Now, since I booked through the casino I asked him if it was possible for me to get any sort of upgrade from him, for example a view of the strip. He said that he could get me a room with a view AND a larger room, designated as a 'P' room (about 75 sq ft more space and a corner room with windows on two walls.

So, the trick, at the Paris at least, is to 1) know if you booked through the hotel or casino, know about the layouts of the rooms (standard, standard w/view, standard w/ view and 'P' status, suite), then 2) ASK!!! either the front desk clerk (hotel) or the slot host (casino). Also, ask for a discount coupon book when you check in. It had tons of coupons in it.

I have heard that they may charge $20 more for a room with a strip view and/or a 'P' room. We got the upgrade complimentary. I think it depends on how you present your request and the demeanor of whomever checks you in.

Also, we used out slot card and got 3 nights comped and $60 back in cash. It pays to use your card at the slots and tables! Bally's and Caesar's Palace are part of Park Place Entertainment so you can use your same slot card there and accumulate additional comps.

All in all we stayed Monday through Saturday in a P room with a view of the pool and Bellagio for $200 (Mon, Tue, Wed were comped; $99 a night for Thurs and Fri).

Restuarants/Food:

Le Provencal and Cafe St. Louis were overrated. The food at Le Provencal was average and the service was so-so. My wife got sick eating at Cafe St. Louis and the food was nothing spectacular. We were very pleased with Mon Ami Gabi (a must), Le Creperie (delicious AND reasonable), Le Village Buffet (quantity AND quality), Cafe Du Parc (by the pool, yummy!), and room service (food was hot and delicious and was served quickly).

Staff

We found everyone to be very pleasant and some, exceptional. The cocktail waitresses were great, the staff in the coffee/pastry shop were very friendly as were our housekeeping and the room service staff.

Location

THE BEST!! Right in the middle of the Strip across from the Bellagio. Almost everything is within a reasonable walking distance.

E-mail me if you'd like to chat more about Paris Las Vegas or Las Vegas in general. And, most importantly of all...GOOD LUCK!!

John

Excellent rooms - separate shower and tub. Fast and quiet climate controls. Quality all around. High speed internet access for $10/day via. your laptop's ethernet port. OR - the TV had internet access for $10/day using their wireless keyboard/mouse. OR - dataport on the phone, but even 800 calls had a $1.25 surcharge.

Casino was too cramped and noisy - didn't like to hang out there. Location on Strip is excellent.

I found a package deal for $89.00 per night with a minimum stay of 2 nights on the Paris website. Along with the package came two free trips to the top of the tower.

My room faced the strip and the Bellagio fountains.

An excellent value!

We stayed at the Paris for five days over March Break using their "passport to paris" package. Overall, it was a really nice hotel. Very classy and stylish-almost the anti-Vegas! The room was pretty standard, nice shower but only a small tub which I was a little disappointed by. Sports book was really crowed due to the NCAA basketball tournament and it was really difficult to place a bet, though they did open up one of their large rooms on Friday, our last day. Very few low end tables, even at Bally's, so I didn't really gamble there much. Dealers I did have were very nice. Actually very few tables were open the first few days we were there. We had very positive experiences at the restaurants, great service. I would highly recommend the cafe for breakfast. The buffet was pretty expensive I thought, but there was lots of choice. I would stay there again if I could get the same rate.

The Paris is a very stylish hotel at a very good value. It's location is at the epicenter of The Strip. Our room faced the Eifel Tower and the fountains at The Bellagio...at half the rate for the room. The restaurants were very good. The employees were very helpful and friendly. The Casino is more sophisticated than most..No hawking time-shares here.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Paris.
We look forward to our return trip to the Paris in the future.

I thought we would stay here because a friend told us how great it was, well to begin with when we tried to check our bags with the attendant, we got an attitude that was unbelievable. Out check in person was extremely apologetic and gave us an upgrade to a small suite...forget it, we usually stay at the Venetian. The suite was just a larger room, the furniture which is ill designed if you are short or children has jagged edges and I smashed my knee twice. The bottle of water which they live in your room hopeing you will drink them at $5.00 a pop..you must be kidding.. Then I went to the 'spa' because of the reputation..forget that...the massage rooms were cold ( I am a MT) so I know to make the rooms confortable, these were not. I look of the spa was very zen, which I liked, but again their were virtually no attendant. Then came the facial, which by the time I finished paying for the original package which was $250.00 it cost me another $100.00 because of add=on's that were pushed while you were already on the table, which again they added another 18% service charge. I tip, and I tip well, but 3^% was a little out of line. I would never go back their again..so back to the eateries...we are vegan (no meat/no dairy) and this is one hotel that does not know the meaning of that. Other places in Las Vegas at the fine dining areas will always prepare you something. WE wound up eating at Balley's -90 percent of the time. I wouldn't stay there again, nor would I go to the spa...sorry and we visit Las Vegas often.

Well after reading about every comment on this website for the paris I was better informed about the vacation I was about to have. What a vacation. The paris was awesome. The best hotel that I have ever stayed at. When we arrived we did have to wait a few minutes to check in but after that it was smooth sailing. My boyfriend and I were given the option for a regular room with a few og the pool and fountains or a corner room. Well of course I knew that the corner room was the way to go. Wonderful room, great tub and shower. Two huge windows and wonderful french decor. The bed was perfect and pillows were excellent. What i read in this website was true, they don't change the linens unless you ask them to. But they are more than happy to do it as long as you ask. The casino was my favorite. I was worried that there were going to be no $10.00 blackjack tables, but they were even on the weekends. The casino was not to crowded and most of the dealers are quite friendly. During our 6 day stay (Wed- Mon) we ate at mon amie gabi, le cafe ile st. louis, the steakhouse and of course the effiel tower resturant. Mon amie gabi was excellent. My boyfriend had steak and i has sea bass in a chile sauce. Both were excellent. The atomopher was the best of all the resturants maybe except the effiel tower. The effiel tower was truly an experience. Great food, cocktails, wine and the best souffle in the world. The view is extrodinary and well worth the money. Le cafe was also great. The ceaser salad is amazing also the quesidillas are great. finally the steakhouse. The steakhouse was good.i had the lamb. It was fatty but other than that everything was great. oh i almost forgot the buffet. we ate there for luch and breakfast. the best buffet that i have ever had and i hate buffet but i loved this one. Well worth the money. Recomendations breakfast at le cafe or the buffet, lunch at le cafe, the buffet or mon amie gabi and you most have dinner at the effiel tower or mon ami gabi.

wondering about cost
mon ami gabi about $165 for two
effiel tower $150
steakhouse $125
le cafe $40.00

THe Paris Hotel and Casino is truly the best value for my wife and I wehave been there 3 times and plan to stay ther again in April. We have done quite well in the Casino on the slots and we have always been comped better than any other hotel we have stayed at in Vegas. We like it there because it is more adult oriented and we beleive that Vegas should remain an adult vacation destination. The wait staff is tremendous they remember what you drink and they will find you when you wander around those slot machines. We have been going to Vegas for 10 years and we have stayed at many hotels but Paris rules as far as we are concerned!

After reading about how wonderful the buffet was at Paris, we decided to go for dinner.

The service was atrocious. Not only was the wait staff, and clerks obnoxious and snooty, they were also incompetent.

Every few minute a garbage cart (true) was trundled by the tables to get to the kitchen.

One couple sitting nearby, had a full glass of water dumped on them due to a shaky table which tipped. When they complained to the (manager?) all that happened was that they were switched to another table. No apology for the tipping table, nor offer to do something about their clothing. Soon thereafter another unlucky couple were seated at the same table (after a bus boy had placed a napkin under the off balance table leg).

The food was just passable and the servers agains seemed to think that they were doing the customers a favour.

All in all a not very pleasant experience which cost much more than much friendlier and tastier buffets.

Checked in to the hotel and was given a room away from the strip after asking for one. Said they didn't have one. Couple behind us that we befriended asked for the same thing and got it. Same price. Our room had a sign next to it that said "Area of Refuse" and it had a horrible smell in the hall. We contacted the desk who came and sprayed some air freshener. Upon checking out I asked why the sign and the lady said she had no idea what that was and agreed that it was tacky to have a sign that said area of garbage. A month later, I was then contacted by an upper level staff member who said the sign means "area of safety" in french. Having the couple behind us get a view room which we had asked for and was told that they didn't have one and coupled with the smell I could only think one thing. They put us in the dump area and someone is playing favorites here, hello???. We were invited back to stay in a suite at the regular room price. Still spendy, but at least it was an offer. I would have comp't the room instead of charging me for another one. The whole "french thing" is overdone. Food was very good. Housekeeping was excellent. Just had a bad start and it stuck with us. Didn't see anyone winning at slots. It's a game table place. High rollers, big bucks are welcome. The little guy, go somewhere else seemed to be the attitude.

We got a great package deal off their website and was given great coupons to ise at the various restaurants, shops, spa. We stayed 4 nights. The walk from the parking garage in check-in is very far. We highly recommend you valet. Check-in was great, we were offered to upgrade our room to include a view of the Belligio water show. We jumped at the chance and was glad we did-- what a view!! The Buffet and Steakhouse were awesome!! As was the rooms and other facilities, except for the Casino. Our recommendation is that you pay close attention to your bets and watch the dealers carefully. On at least four separate occasions at the craps table, my husband wasn't given his winnings, the correct odds, or had is bets placed correctly. They DID NOT pay attention to the table at all, he would try to tell them and they basically ignored him. It was terrible. (They seemed to be enjoying each other's company and talking to one another and not paying attention to the game or the customers.) It happened again at some stupid dice game (can't remember name), he got the mark on the dice and the removed his chips so fast and then claimed he didn't have the correct number. And we know we won. Overall, the hotel as a place to stay was good, the bathroom is great, with a nice big tub and separate shower stall. Don't expect to receive new shampoo, soap, etc. every day. (Make sure you bring your own). They never once gave us new bottles after our first day as we stayed there 4 days.

Very good casino/hotel. Really like the casino itself. Fun place to play craps. Almost always have a $5 minimum table for us not-so-high rollers. The location is the best part about Paris. It is great being right across the street from what is by far the best hotel/casino in Vegas, the Bellagio. We spent alot of time over at the Bellagio, but we didn't have to spend the $300-400 a night to stay there. Paris has a good Sports Book, too, and they usually give you free drinks in the Book, which is not always the case. We played for 3 or 4 hours a day with average bets around $25, and they comp'd the room. Overall, a very good place to stay. I will be going again in March.

Upgraded to suite for no charge. Room was beautiful. His and her bathrooms, sitting area, and other amenities. Casino is very relaxing compared to others but they often have many tables sitting unused. That really bugged me because the open tables often were $100 or $25 blackjack when I was looking for a $5 or $10 table. Bakery and sandwich shop are very good and nice because they are not fast food and you don't have to be seated so you can get in and out quickly.

Nice rooms and spacious baths. Well lighted and roomy casino, although doesn't pay very well (so what's new!) Restaurants, except for the St. Louis Cafe, tend to be a little pricey. The buffet, in particular, is over-priced. You get a better buffet at the Bellagio for the same price, and the buffet at the Aladdin is very much better for a cheaper price. The rooms are a little on the expensive side, on average, unless you catch a promotional bargain.

Pefectly located in the middle of the strip, Paris was a WONDERFUL deal @$69 per night. I've stayed in far more expensive places that were nowhere near as nice. But we had a deal as I booked 5 rooms for family and friends. The buffet is great. The casino is really nice to look at --- as is the whole hotel --- but all 10 of us agreed that the casino --- particularly the slots --- were EXTREMELY "TIGHT", even more than most strip hotels. Enjoy the hotel, gamble at a "locals" place or downtown for a better chance @ winning some cash.

Nice rooms. Payed $20 for an upgrade to a room you had to stand in the left corner of the window to see Bellagio fountains. Don't know that I would pay again to have to stand so awkwardly to see the Bellagio. Good buffet, creative choices. Average drink service at the slot machines. Was playing VP at Gustave's Bar and got up to leave, had walked around to the side of the bar when the bartender caught up with me. I had left a bucket of coins! Bravo! to the bartender. Came up to our room at 1:30 in the morning to find two security guards and a woman holding a small child. Seems she heard him crying hysterically in the hall and he was unable to tell anyone his name or what room he was in. The next morning we found out that the father had come upstairs at about 3:30 to discover his son with the guards. They went to the room and it seems that the child had left the room while his mother and sibling were asleep and the mother did not hear him leave. VEGAS IS NO PLACE FOR CHILDREN! Still like Bally's better but would stay here again for the right package price. A misunderstanding on my part at check-out was resolved quickly with some charges being removed from my bill.
