Excellent property. This has got to be my best Las Vegas hotel value ever.
I stayed on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. I booked my room online at the La Quinta website and used the promotional code for Returns Club "Weekend Impulse" rates. I was able to book an executive studio suite with queen bed, sofabed, living area and full kitchen for an amazing rate of $45.00/night, INCLUDING the Friday and Saturday (at the time, Weekend Impulse rates for La Quinta Inns were $39.00 and La Quinta Inn and Suites were $45.00. They have since increased to $44.99 and $49.99 respectively). The property was immaculate and very modern and tastefully decorated. There was a complimentary continental breakfast each morning (including waffles and french toast) and no charge for local or 800 phone calls... and unlike the sleazy casino-hotels, no energy surcharge or hotel amenity fee or other similar BS add-on charge.
The hotel is a little off the beaten path, but is near the Suncoast (one of my favorite casinos) and you can use the 215 Western Beltway and the Summerlin Parkway to get around. It is located in the Lakes area of Summerlin, but I actually liked it because it is a nice upscale residential/light commercial area situated in a business park. Needless to say, the type of guests staying in this hotel are not your stereotypical loud, unruly casino-going drunk type. A great place to go if, like me, you want to find a hotel that you can call your home away from home and great if you have kids (no gambling in the hotel and free breakfast saves you big $).
The rooms are so quiet that you can sleep very soundly... in fact, I slept so soundly the first night that I was woken up by the maid and missed the continental breakfast. But this experience showed me what true customer service is all about. I explained my situation to front desk and they let me go and get food even after the breakfast room was closed... and the attendant even fixed my coffee for me! Talk about caring for your guests. Good luck getting that kind of service from a hotel-casino.
I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Las Vegas who doesn't mind driving a little to get a place that will make you leave with a smile.
