Our Las Vegas friends took us out to dinner on a Sunday nite---we originally intended to do a buffet on the stip. THIS IS DEFIINTELY ONE OF THE BEST VALUES AND FOOD FOR THE MONEY!!! Although not as extensive as the Rio, the food is more tasty and delicious with a variety of offerings--well worth the visit although it is a trek away from the stip. Place is clean, staff courteous and attentive and the casino is almost "smoke free". This will be on our "to do" list the next time we visit Vegas. Have tried more than just a few buffets on the Strip as well as downtown---Green Valley has got them beat! See for yourself!

Ran across Green Valley Ranch completely by accident by way of getting lost on the way to Sam's Town, but BOY what an accident. Green Valley is one of the most impressive Vegas spots I've ever visited, from the ease of parking to the (how can I say) F*^)*in Bitchin Pool Area, and what? a Bocce ball court, this place was built to astound . We only spent about 5 hours there but will definetly be back for alot more. The Drop Bar was SEXY and made a wonderful martini, never have I felt so isolated from the hustle and bustle of a busy casino yet right in the middle of it. The Blackjack dealers and pit staff were fun, freindly, and more then willing to hand out comps, sending us to the buffet after less then an hour of play. Even the parking stucture had a better view then all but the highest suites on The Strip. Green Valley will surely be taking more of my money, and I will for sure be happy to hand it out.

I stayed at the Green Valley Ranch for the first time last Sunday & Monday (June 23-24). I took them up on the post card I received in the mail for two free nights and $50 food credit.

Beautiful spacious rooms (most comfortable bed I've ever sleep in), delicious food (great buffet), and lot's of good vp.

The entire staff at GVR was wonderful. I think they are one of the most friendly and attentive in Las Vegas. Every employee I came in contact with acknowledged me with a warm smile and a "Hello" or "Good Morning" without any of the KMA (kiss my ass) attitude you'll find at Bellagio or Mirage.

The seats at the fpvp "Optimum Play" machines were often full during the afternoon and early evening hours, but I usually found an open chair when I wanted one. I was especially lucky on the bank of 100% machines across from the Dreyers Ice Cream Shop by the Food Court (got 4 Aces with a kicker twice on Monday).

The only downside to staying at GVR is it's isolation. No other
casinos are within walking distance. Fiesta Henderson is closest (about a $10 taxi ride) but GVR does offer a free shuttle to The Strip (Mandalay Bay) and to the Airport several times a day.

I loved the GVR and will definitely stay there again.

We had a Wonderful Experience at this Hotel!! We loved the rooms, especially the beds and the comforters. (Very Comfortable Beds) . The bathroom was exceptional with very nice amenities! Very Clean! The food was very good also.
One morning we ordered fruit and toast, and we received a plentiful platter of various melons and grapes and yogurt, and it was right on time. The restuarants were fabulous! We dined at Bull Shrimp,Il Fornaio, and Trophy's.
Our favorite was Il Fornaio, we ate there twice! The Whiskey Bar was fun and upbeat and very contemporary! We rented a Cabana for a Sunday Pool party and had a great time. The pool boy brought us Lobster sandwiches for lunch.
I had to make a transaction at my bank and I was without an automobile, so the consicerge had one of the bell boys take me to my bank ,and he took me there and waited for me, and then returned me to the hotel. I offered him a tip,and he refused . We consider this excellant hospitality, and we will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future. This hotel has a quite country villa
type atmosphere ,away from the bustling strip. We reccommend it to anyone looking for a nice change. Thanks to the staff for an excellant stay!

Beautiful Hotel and casino...you have to check it out! They have everything for the average person but just a little nicer then average way of presenting it. We played some slots...not anything to brag about, but better then some places, and we enjoyed wandering around. Very friendly and constant attention from cocktail person, wish all Casinos had staff like these. Will be back soon.

Excellent Hotel. Service was excellent except I had to call housekeeping twice to get non-allergenic pillows and blankets. A great experience off the strip.

Beautiful resort property. Rooms were on the small side, but exquisitely furnished (cherry wood) with a bed to "die" for (feather and down). Iron (& board), inroom safe, hair dryer, coffee maker, ice bucket and terry robes were provided. (There were possibly computer lines and a fax, but I didn't notice.) Since there are only 200 rooms at this point, I imagine they all face the pool/grounds area. There is a doorbell on each room - so don't be startled. Access to room elevators I thought were somewhat hidden from public view which is a nice security addition.

I truly believe this resort sought very conscientious, service-oriented employees as everyone I dealt with was very pleasant and professional.

I am unsure of the price of these rooms (since it was an upfront comp), but would stay there again in a heartbeat (even if I had to pay and the prices were inline with other upscale properties).

My comments are only placed for the table games. When we visited on a Tuesday morning we found only one Blackjack table at $5 or less. It was full, so the four of us walked around for a few minutes. When we returned all BJ tables were at a $25 min. , which seemed high for a weekday before 10:00 am. The drive is too far from the strip too not have at least some low table mins. The casino is beautiful and would be a pleasent place to play if you don't mind the $25 min.
