Date Visited: 02/03 - Good Visit Booked our room way too late - considering we were staying on Nascar race weekend.. almost all the other places were booked. This was the only place near the strip i could find that didn't cost $300+ a night. Paid $45 Saturday night i think. Room was decent... I expected much worse. Great view of the parking garage.. but the water worked and the room didn't smell... heck, I even watched a little TV and took a shower. Played in the casino at the end of the night and took a little money out - def. not the place to spend the whole evening at! The staff I met was pretty friendly.. for the money I'd stay there anytime... location is terrific <karl -at- directcon.net> - USA - Added 01/04/04 - [64.160.119***] Report This Comment Date Visited: 02/03 - Bad Visit What a cold-blooded hotel & casino. We had to drag our suitcase half a block through their dimly lit garage to encounter a doorman who didn't open the door. After checking into a $45 room, we were directed to an elevator that took about 15 minutes to arrive. Going up I felt like covering my nose from the stench of stale cigarettes. The rug leading to our quarters looked like it had been puked on. We were pretty tired after a six-hour drive from SoCal, so we went straight to bed. A couple of hours later I awoke to take a shower. Afterwards, I sat down next to the night stand and was about to write something when my pencil rolled behind the night stand. As I moved it forward to recover it, I noticed a towel there. I pulled it up. It was smothered in what looked like blood and was so stiff it didn't unfold. I called Room Service. They came up about a half hour later and took it away. In the morning when I went to check out, I told the clerk to give the owner a note. It said: "You ought to be ashamed of charging $45 for rooms with bloody towels and running a hotel with puke-covered rugs." Needless to say, I never returned to Bourbon Street and urge the civilized world to avoid the place. This happened about five years ago. <GOALTAM -at- COX.NET> - Las Vegas CA USA - Added 12/12/04 - [68.108.157.***] Report This Comment Date Visited: 09/02 The staff were very nice and made us feel welcome, it's a nice place to sit at the bar and relax if you've been doing a lot of walking. The casino is small, but we enjoyed playing the slots and they are the friendliest people we met on the strip. <ndw4golf -at- chartermi.net> - Midland MI USA - Added 09/26/02 - [66.227.142.***] Report This Comment Date Visited: 05/02 - Good Visit Nice room for a fair price. Good entertainment at the bar over the weekend. <ratermann -at- alumni.webster.edu> - St. Louis MO USA - Added 06/01/02 - [24.217.181.***] Report This Comment Date Visited: 03/02 - Bad Visit I stayed on the ninth floor in a room with 2 double beds. Thank God I was facing the street, because if I was on the other side you look right into the parking ramp. Oh, by the way they only use the bottom floor of the parking ramp. If you didn't get a place by late afternoon, you ended up parking on the street. My room had red carpet that someone had taken a iron and put prints into the carpet. The "red" chairs, we gray from all of the dust on them. I did have a nice view of the side of Ballys if you looked through the high tension wires that went right by my window. We had no hot water. Twice I told them about it and when I checked out I asked them why they ignored my requests for it to be fixed, and the guy tole me they just didn't know what to do about it. The casino had mostly 5 cent machines. Although I did win a $100 on the Wheel of Fortune $1 slot, I won nothing at all ofter that. <rchhh -at- aol.com> - Muskegon MI USA - Added 03/11/02 - [64.12.96***] Report This Comment Date Visited: 10/01 - Bad Visit This is the most disguisting hotel I've ever stayed in. One of the Las Vegas guide books actually listed this place as a "clean and comfortable place to stay". We switched hotels after the 2nd night!! The tan carpeting (in this room) was nearly brown and the room didn't exactly smell clean. Cigarette burns everywhere. We overlooked it as an old hotel. The telephone fell apart (literally) when making a call. The iron and ironing board where burnt black. The TV didn't work at all (Thank goodness this was Las Vegas). When we called to have the phone repaired, the repairman (although a nice fellow), spent 2+ hours screwing around with the telephone. We finally told him to forget it -- we wanted to go to dinner and hadn't plan on spending the evening in the hotel. The "pi asta resistance" occurred when we returned to the hotel room the second night around 2 am. I went into the bathroom to wash my face. Before I could turn on the water, the person in the neighboring room flushed the toilet (you can hear through the walls). After they flushed, the sink in our room filled up with water and other sewage. No thought was given to complaining, we moved to Caesar's the next morning. DON'T STAY HERE --- EVEN IF YOU HAPPEN TO SOMEHOW GET COMP'D THE ROOM!! <magentaii -at- aol.com> - Odenton MD USA - Added 05/05/02 - [141.157.115***] Report This Comment You must judge the truthfulness of any comment and accept responsibility for your use of this information.
