This place was a hellhole! The service was terrible and the rooms had a foul odor. It's smelled like dung. I would never stay in this place again. BEWARE !

Date Visited: 01/01 - Bad Visit
I stayed at the Algiers in Jan, 2002. The town was full due to CES and this was one of the last rooms available for under $200.00. Even though it will most probably be closed within a year, I'm writing this to spare you from the possibility of actually staying there.
The Lobby resembles a 1950's doctors office waiting room.
It smelled bad
The desk man looked as if he'd just woken up (and I was bothering him).
He smelled bad
The room was freshly remodeled in 1972 (it was clean...but).
You guessed it....stinko
The pool is surrounded by the parking lot (old motel style)
I didn't use it but I'm sure it smelled too.
The lounge is right out of a David Lynch film...scary,dark,a few weird
lurking old locals (looking at me with a "you're not welcome here" glare).
And it smelled really bad
Overall, this is a good place for a murder. I'm really glad they're going to rip it down). Stay away unless you have a sense of morbid curiosity.
