My family had the BEST time at Circus Circus Dec. 27-Jan. 1. I am surprised at many of the previous comments. Our room in West Tower, 28th floor was big and clean, and we had a great view of the Strip and the tower where I later bungy jumped--woo hooo! The service from time of check-in to check-out was fine, even though you do owe some silly change for the phone whether you touch it or not. Hubby won A LOT at Blackjack while I played with the kids at the Midway, which was like a big county fair of games indoors. Awesome! Then hubby would watch kids while I did fair at slots. Then we would all have a great time together touring the place and the Strip--never even made it into the Adventuredome and Xtreme Zone. We didn't do much eating in except for Mexican at the Blue Iguana (YUM!), and we hit the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts hard! Ha, ha. We ate really late one night at the Buffet and were not very impressed--heard you need to go to Rio's buffet. Perfect vacation, and Circus Circus had lots to do with it! We are planning on going again this summer. Circus Circus is THE FAMILY HOTEL/CASINO. Las Vegas is not a bad place to take kids, either--just like most other large cities. Things are what you make them usually.

It was my first trip down there so I'm searching online for good hotel deals. So I see this ad that says 40.99 for one night right on the strip, our friends whom were getting married stayed at the mgm grand (way too overpriced)we opted for a skytower room which is supposed to be 10 dollars more. We get there after an exhausting drive,to a smoke infested bus station. We get to the desk after about 20 minutes of waiting, and our room has been taken, so they offer us a manor room for the 40 dollar price. Im tired, I just want to get out of this lobby so we took it. Come to find out we're not even part of the hotel.....we're like a shitty little motel off to the side. We parked in the garage so we had to walk about a mile to our rooms. We finally get inside and theres crackheads living there, making sooo much noise I'm ready to lose my mind. We get in our room and theres a door with no lock that connects our room to the next. We turned a lamp on it burnt out, we tried another it did the same thing, we were stuck with one light. All I wanted to do was shower, it didn't work either. I didn't want to walk a mile and a half back to the lobby or to another one of these rooms. We hardly stayed there, didn't gamble there either, stayed away. They have this check out service by your tv remote......bullshit, the tv set told me to come to the office. Stood in line for 20 minutes to get a "thank you please visit us again"..I told the clerk to go shove her happy clown foot up her ***. Worst hotel experience I ever had. Better off staying at the travellodge up the road.

It was me and my husbands first time staying here. we are in our 20's there was much nightlife here but we went to sudio 54 for that (awesome). There were quite a few kids that were unsupervised, i dont understand some people. I hit a few small jackpots on the the slots. My mom hit one for $5000 on a dollar slot. She has hit lots of small jackpots to.This was her 4th time staying here. The dealers were very nice and helped me and my husband learn. we didnt try the buffett but the Blue Iguana is excellent! If you go to Cicrus Circus make sure you get a tower room. In all it was a great time gamble here and nightlife some place else. The guy that performs at Westward Ho is so funny! We will be back in February.

I guess you get what you pay for, stayed in early October, never got to use the pool it was always closed. Trying to get to your room was a nightmare, you had to walk through the casino, the carpeting in the casino is gross, the whole casino needs a make over, it was dirty and the wall paper looked like something out of a horror movie. The carpeting in the hallways was all coming up, the glue was coming off, I am surprised no one has tripped and killed themselves on the carpet. The room was okay but it did stink, I think the maids did the best they could. There were long line ups at the check in and check out and the staff was not all that friendly. Only ate there once so I cannot really comment on the food. The slots were not that hot. I really do not think any one should pay more than $30.00 US for the rooms, they are not worth anything more. Did most of my gambling across the street at the Riveria, it was more cleaning, more fun and more free drinks were offered.
But I guess you get what you pay for, the old saying you only sleep there.

I have stayed here 3 times previously in the past. After going somewhere else the last 3 years, I found myself coming back here again. Good rate at $29 cant beat.

Okay, so you have read all the comments about all the kids just like I did. But, all those comments where when school is out -- hello?????? ... I just came back from here after Labor Day weekend , when schools have started already. Yea, your going to find some kids because its a family hotel. But it was like it has been in the past when I have stayed here and just like it was this past weekend, did not have problems with kids walking around or tearing up the hotel like people said previously.

But, the talk on the buffet?? Well, most of that is true. First, I thought the water tasted funny in the hotel room. The buffet was very plain. You get the basics for what your paying. After having breakfast here the first 2 days, I found myself going to the bathroom alot. The last 2 days of the trip I had breakfast at the bagel shop in the shopping mall in the hotel and I felt fine and I thought the food there was better, bagels were nice and fresh. With the buffet for breakfast, eggs looked like they were the same type of powdered eggs they serve in the cafe at my work. French toast I thought was not cooked completely. Milk tasted sour. Sprite was okay though. Good news here is you dont have to tip anyone because its all self serve, including drinks. But even before I had anything to eat there, on both occasions I went for breakfast, there were no lines at all for the buffet. That is a first. There is always a line at a buffet everywhere else, but not here. If you go, you'll find out why. So I tend to agree with everyone else, stay out of the buffet. Going somewhere else is worth the extra money you will spend.

Would be nice if the shuttle between the two main casinos would run after 10:00 at night. A lot of things to do at night and when you come home, you dont want that long walk to get to the back hotel. (at least I didnt have to go to the manors though!).

If you want a strip hotel just to sleep in and a nice price, this is fine. I'v been here before, would come back in the future, but I like to shop around. Stayed here this year mainly for the price and I'm not in the room that much. Oh, but when in the room, two things to watch: the $1 charge for phone calls is crap. You have to pay it. Why not just raise the room rate $1 and say no phone charge. Really Stupid. (If you dont use a credit card for the room, there is a $25 down payment thing they will hit you with at the front desk too, just in case) The second thing is the lock on the bathroom door. It is a push button lock on the door inside the bathroom. Every time you open the door, it is stopped by a door stopper on the wall that pushes in the lock on the bathroom. Next time you close the bathroom door from the outside, your locked out. Maintenece had tom come one night to let me in and found it locking itself the vey next night.

For value for money Circus Circus is a great place to stay, the rooms are clean and the amenities adequate. Apart from in the Midway and by the Circus we didn't see hoards of children hanging around. I don't think children belong in Las Vegas but that's another discussion. The atmosphere in the Casino was good but the slot machine attendent was extremely rude, maybe it was because I didn't tip her but after waiting half an hour and then having to go and find someone I didn't think she deserved it! Overall We had a brilliant time in the the hotel and would definately go again.

This was our first visit to Las Vegas, and after reading other ratings about Circus Circus I was "scared!" Well it turned out to be a great trip, and our room was clean and very nice. We were in the West tower and had a nice view of the strip. I was worried about kids being all over, but being September and schools back in session it wasn't bad. I guess a hotel with a circus theme is going to mean there will be children. For that reason, I wouldn't stay here during school breaks. We couldn't seem to hit the right time that the Blue Iguana was open, we were either too early or too late. We didn't really have too many meals at Circus Circus except for lunch at the Pink Pony...it wasn't too bad. I would like to stay toward the middle of the strip just to see the difference, and do less walking. I guess it depends on when you visit Circus Circus and where your room is located as far as whether you have a good experience or not.

I have to submit a two-part rating here. Our trip was very last minute, so price-wise, the rates were decent. The room was okay and the casino was great. I realize that when you stay in a hotel with a circus style show, you're going to see kids, but the children were running around everywhere and didn't seem to have any adult supervision. It's almost like parents dropped their kids off and left. A few times, we had to dodge children running in the hallways outside of the rooms. Because of the mobs of children it's doubtful that we'll stay at Circus Circus again. Kids are great, but if you have them, you should watch them. As far as the casino is concerned, it was nice. I wouldn't call the hotel a dump at all, but some changes could definitely be made.

I stayed at Circus Circus many years ago, so when I saw the great deal of $34.95 per night, I jumped at the chance to stay there again. How times have changed! This hotel is a DUMP! The wallpaper is peeling from the walls, the bedding is all old and smells horrible, the carpet is filthy, curtains falling apart, the shower curtains have a thick film of dirt and crud, and the towels were old and small. Also, the maids were very rude, and not one I spoke to could speak English. The pool was very dirty as well.
Also went to the buffet and would not recommend that to ANYONE. It was awful! The worst meal I've EVER had.
I felt very unsafe staying here - security was very nonexistent.
Believe me, you get what you pay for, and there's a reason they price their rooms so low - because they are so horrible to stay in.

This was our 2nd visit to Las Vegas and our first to Circus Circus. We enjoyed our stay. We had heard bad reports about the buffet prior to our visit but they were unfounded as it was one of the best for value and choice. However, there was room for improvement for e.g. the choices were more or less the same every day - potatoes were always mashed, eggs were always scrambled and some dishes weren't always hot enough - the English like their meals hot.

My husband and I just returned from Vegas and the CC with our two children, ages 8 & 4. I had read some horrible reviews of the CC before we left and even tried to switch hotels at the last minute. I am glad we didn't. The buffet had gotten horrible reviews, but it wasn't bad at all. The Blue Iguana mexican resturant was wonderful. Didn't try the Pink Pony or Steakhouse, but all others. Very tasty, not too bad on price. We stayed in the Skyrise tower and the room was clean and well kept. Housekeeping did a great job. The only complaint we had was the elevators. Have a book with you, they take FOREVER. You have to take an elevator to get to the pools on the 3rd floor, and it is like an oven. None of the elevators have AC. Also, none of the ice or drink dispensors worked on our floor. They do charge you a dollor a day for local calls you won't make, but other than that, it is a great place for kids. The Midway is crowded but fun, GO EARLY. The Adventure dome was a slight disapointment. Wish we had just spent the money in Midway instead. Take lots of money for games....If you have kids you will enjoy. Casino not that great.

This is a very hard hotel to rate. I should break this into 2 parts, the bad and the good.

THE BAD: There are tons of kids running around crazy there (as to be expected). The manor rooms are absolute s$%t. It is worth the $10 extra per night for a tower room. The 3 miles hike to the pool really sucks, as does the pool. The food is slightly below average at the buffet and the pizza place. The location isn't too great yet could be worse.

THE GOOD: I had a great time gambling there. The staff was very genuine, polite and entertaining. I was served many drinks while at the tables. The price is quite cheap making it possible to stay in vegas longer. The tower rooms are just as good as any other typical vegas room.

All in all, the place is worthwhile if you have a family or if you want to save some money when you are there awhile. I would suggest Circus Circus only if you are going there for the first time with kids...

We stayed here June 21 & 22 with a group of people who had children, though we do not. It was a great place for the people with kids. I would not stay here again because of the massive numbers of kids everywhere. It was a relief to walk over to Westward Ho and relax in their clean, quiet casino after the chaos of Circus Circus.

The rooms were nicer than expected in the main tower. Food at the Pink Pony was very basic. Slots did not pay well. Pools were difficult to get to.

Never again will I visit CircusCircus!

Every large family in southern Nevada drops off all of their children at this
place and allows them to roam the facility with abandon. They do not actually
enter the gaming areas but linger only a few feet away. It was extremely
difficult to get from the elevators to the casino. Not only are small children
everywhere underfoot, but teens with attitudes will congregate anywhere they want. We wound up gambling at Westward Ho where it was relatively quiet and
uncrowded.

One of the four elevators to the 6th through 19th floors was out of commission
for five days, resulting in long waits and delays getting to and from the 14th
floor. An ice machine and a food dispensing machine were out of order for the
entire week that we were there. Valet parking was usually full on the weekends, and the covered self-parking garage is handled by two ancient, slow,
and very small elevators, usually full of large families.

On a Tuesday afternoon, the fire alarm went off on the 14th floor. After we
evacuated to the first floor, we found that it was just a false alarm. We
received an apology from the assistant hotel manager and the security head,
and that was all.

The layout of the buffet is much improved over what it once was, but the food
was terrible! We tried the Pink Pony and after a 30 minute wait we did enjoy
a nice tender prime-rib for $7.95, but the service was not good because the servers are horribly understaffed. The one eating establishment that we did
like was The Steakhouse. Five of us enjoyed an excellent dinner there on
Father's Day. The food, decor and service were very good. You might say
wonderful when compared with the other restaurants in CircusCircus.

This was our first visit to Las Vegas (although we have visited other places in the U.S.A.).We chose the Circus Circus for its value for money. We stayed for eight nights in April over the easter holiday and all-in-all we had an enjoyable stay.Plus notes-nice size room with nice size bed overlooking the strip from the 15th floor.Room was clean and tidy as was the bathroom. We were a bit puzzled though by the lack of storage space for such a large room (compared with other hotels we have stayed at in the U.S.).
On a down side and I had read previous comments on this, was the diabolical queue to check-in.It took ages to check-in and the lobby was full of screaming kids and people dossing around on the floor. However, once you are up in your room you can switch off from the mayhem down below.
Also, this was the first time we had to pay for a security safe, other hotels were free. Also a fridge/mini-bar would have been nice.
We thought the Steak restuarant was excellent, the pink pony O.K. The buffet was crap!! Visited the Hilton buffet (two-for-one deal) absolutely superb.
On the whole we thought the Circus Circus hotel was pretty good value all round
especially if you are on a bit of a budget. In fact,we are returning again this month (August) for 11 nights but this time with our adult son.You cant get much more recommendation than that can you!
I will submit another comment after this trip.

I have stayed twice at Circus Circus within the last year. Originally on my first trip I was booked in at the Ramada Blair House Suites. Upon arrival from Manitoba, Canada we called the Ramada to have their shuttle van come pick us up from the airport. The lady at the Ramada was pleasant however she seemed confused for some reason. We waited and in an hour the shuttle showed up and took us to the hotel. This whole time nothing was out of the ordinary. When we arrived at the Ramada there was a sign on the door stated they could no longer operate a hotel by the State of Nevada. The girl appologized and called the Circus Circus to find us a room at a reasonable rate. The Ramada then drove us there and Circus Circus appologized for the mishap even though it had nothing to do with them. They immediately upgraded us to the Skyrise tower because of our troubles...I thought this was a great gesture seeing they did nothing wrong to begin with!

This was my first trip to Las Vegas so I was pretty excited to be staying at a Mega-resort instead of a mini-motel and I was right on the strip. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time gambling, drinking, eating, and filling our heads with memories we will not soon forget. I would say that 75% of the time we spent in Circus Circus. We ate breakfast there (the buffet I thought was great even though everyone else said it was disgusting??!!??) and we ate supper at the Blue Iguana. Our server was Jesus (my girlfriend found this comical because being from Canada I was unaware it was pronounced Heh-Zues and I kept saying like Jesus Christ, oh well). Jesus was great and the meal was wonderful for the price!

We had such a great time that I booked a room six months later at Circus Circus again. I popped the "big question" and she said yes! Woo-Hoo! This time we stayed in the Manor Rooms but I thought they were fine. We didn't mind the walk seeing as we were on vacation and we got to enjoy more of the Desert sunshine!

I am returning in February 2004 and I can't wait to stay there again! They have their own little station on your room's TV which I watched all the time. My fiancee kept telling me to change it but I thought it was funny. A real nice touch and it helped us find our way around this huge property.

THANKS AND WE'LL SEE YOU AGAIN SOON!!!

When you relate value to quality this property receives an A+. We stayed in the West Tower. The room had 2 Queen Sized Beds and was equal to a good room at a first rate Holiday Inn. The staff from check-in to check-out was very courtious and professional. Our 13 year old son enjoyed the Adventure Dome and Midway. The casino was friendly and noisy. The Buffet was weak and the only restaurant we would recommend is the Steakhouse. The only real letdown was the pool. Its small by Las Vegas standards, old and difficult to get to. That said, if you have younger children they will have fun here and you will find the rates attractive.

My first trip to Las Vegas was marred by the fact that I stayed at this
horrible place. First of all, the location is horrible. We had to walk blocks
to get to anything worthwhile, or take a cab, which isn't cheap. Secondly,
the place is a dump. The hotel itself is dark and dirty. It reminds me of a
creepy clown movie. Our room was missing an ice bucket, the desk lamp
didn't even have a lightbulb, and the rooms were not cleaned. We ordered
room service one morning (which was over $16 for one meal with a tip)
and it was inedible. Not only was it unedible, we put the tray outside our
door because the food smelled so bad. The tray stayed outside our door
for more than 2 DAYS before someone bothered to pick it up. And this
place is supposed to be kid friendly? What if some little kid tried eating
our nasty 2 day old food? We finally complained and after stating our
complaints to 3 + people, we were compensated with free buffet. The
buffet is gross. When we proceeded to complain again, they gave us a
free night's stay, like we'd EVER stay there again. Another thing...if you
don't have children along with you, don't like children, or don't want to see
hoardes of children running around like banshees, don't stay here. Even
if I were to bring my kids to Vegas, I wouldn't submit them to this scary
place. So, to recap, bad location, dirty hotel and rooms, bad service, and
more kids per square foot than slot machines.

If you like Motel 6 you will Love it here. Not really a fancy place, but if you have a family with kids, it would be the best area to stay. Large areas for the kids to play as long as they are old enough to handle themselves and a key to the room. Security guards are very stuck up and don't mess arround, as my brother found out. He was 3 months shy of being 21, so he went to the kiddie shows and arcade in the Bigtop. When the bigtop closed early, one kid didn't know what to do, and brother being the samiritan he is, looked out for the kid. Security came and kicked them both out since they were underage, and all he was doing was helping the poor kid find his parents. Security made no efforts to help locate the parents, so brother kept sneaking in to find them. The parents were reunited, and told of the probs by the child, and issued a complaint to the managers, who rolled eyes, said "we're sorry" and on to the next customer.

Woke up one morning thinking there were people in our room. Turns out they were actually in the room next door. Two older people talking quietly about where they were going to breakfast. It was amazing - I could have sworn they were standing at the end of my bed. Circus-Circus has these outside motel units. It is dark at night and scarey walking to them. The service stinks and the people at the counter could care less whether you are happy or not. The casino is cheesy and obnoxious. I have stayed in many hotels in vegas and this one was definately the absolute worse one!

There are some things to be careful of. The beds are hard as a rock. You really can't eat at the buffet station. Get some coffee machines for the rooms.
If your there for the kids adventure dome and some great slots of fun okay. Other than that spend the extra $20 a day and stay at Bally's or Harrah's

We stayed here from 12/27/02 until 1/4/03 in the Sky Rise Tower. We think many of the comments about CC are unfair. CC is an excellent place to stay for someone traveling with children (which we were). Our Sky Rise Tower room was fine, plenty of room for us and our 2 kids (age 14 & 17)and the bathroom was large for a Las Vegas hotel. The housekeeping service was very good. Our only complaint was it was on the 6th floor - so no view. We didnt try the buffet! Barista coffee shop was excellent as was the CC steak house where we ate on New Year's eve. As there were four of us the location wasnt too much of a problem as a taxi was only $6- $8 to mid-strip, the same as the bus. If we were travelling without kids we probably wouldnt stay here (we usually stay at Flamingo) but with kids CC is fine & great value.

I have stayed at CC many times. I have been impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel for the price. The staff has been great. I hae not had problems with check in. I make sure I get there early enough to skip the lines. I have visited the theme park and found it fun. I usually spend time there by myself but plan on taking my whole family there this summer. Its a great hotel for the price. Your not paying for the ritz people so dont expect to get that kind of establishment.

What happened to loww weekly rates at Circus Circus. I stayed Tuesday -Thursday and felt I paid a premium and then I was given a surprise by being told I would have to pay a phone charge even if I do not make any Local calls. Then I was told the that the ride was not operating because there was a convention in town I was not a part of. I was not offered any extra perks because of the inconvience. The Buffet and the Pink Pony Restaurants quality in food has deminished immensely fro past years. Has Circus Circus beem taking over by new management. They seem to want to drive this hotel into the ground. It use to be a pleasurable experince to visit this property but no more. I would hope that management brings back the glory years I remember.

Hey just came back from vegas and spent 1 night at circus circus. i had paid for 2 nights but the rooms were so disgusting. i checked out early did not ask for my money back for the other night i did not spend there. I figure they could use that money so they could invest in destroying that property completely. Well anyway let me get on with my experience at circus circus. I got there on a friday at around 8pm line was kinda long took about 45 minutes to check in. Well i got to my room west tower 27 floor and as soon as i go in and lay in the bed i see bugs on the bed. i jump up and quickly call front desk and tell them the problem. The guys tells me that there are no more rooms avalable only in the manor. I did not like those rooms so i just stayed with the bugs in the 27th floor. So after that soap oprah i figure i try my luck down at the casino so i took my piggy bank savings (full of nickles) and headed to the nickle slots. I played for about 3 hours and too my surprise i was up 3 nickles. I was getting hungry so i headed to the circus buffet if i would have known how bad the food there was i would have headed to the trash can outside at least there my food would have been free. DONT GO TO THE CIRCUS BUFFET. Well i went back to the slot machine playing and finally lost all my nickles so i went to my room and went off to bed3 hours later woke up i felt something biting me. it was those bugs when i got up and went to the restroom i looked at my arms and come to find out that they had bit me plenty of times all over!!!! Terrible this place is not clean and no good..they lost a customer.....still hurting because of those bytes..... hello jacqueline =)

I have traveled extensively and Circus Circus was the worst hotel experience of my life. I had a nightmarish experience with non-safe rooms there. First, stood in line for a half hour at the front desk, and then was given a vague explanation of how to get to the Manors. Had no idea I would not be in the hotel. Am wandering around in the dark with a baby because Circus Circus does not have one of those "you are here" maps at Building A. There were many unsavory characters roaming about. My building was located behind Building A which is very hard to tell in the dark.

Get to my room 45 minutes later, and it is very unappealing. Not the smallest amenity, not even a paper cup for a drink of water. Forget room service. Go to put my clothes away in what I think is a closet, and find out to my shock and horror, it is an adjoining door with no lock! I had stepped into someone else's room. I was terrified. I spent 15 minutes trying to contact the front desk and finally they answer the phone. They refused to upgrade me, and I would have paid any price at that point. The only thing they can do for me is give another room in the Manors. They tell me I have to go to another building and the security guard will meet me, and someone will get me my new keys. I call the security guard, and he doesn't come for 15 minutes. At one point I am standing in the dark with a baby alone surrounded by gang types.

Finally, I find the guard and his first words to me are "I am not going to get your keys...it's not my job." Mr. Chivalry at this point, refused to escort me to my room via the elevator. I meet him at my new room, and ask him to check that it is safe due to the adjoining door problem I had in the last room. He brusquely refuses, and tells me my room is safe. However, I go into the room and discover that the safety latch on the door is broken. And the Manors seems like a place where you really, really want the safety latch to work. At this point, I have no keys, and the lock on my door is broken. Am contemplating another 15 minute wait on the front desk phone, when the phone rings, it is the front desk. Evidently, my husband had called and insisted they get me and baby out of there. However, they had not responded when I made that same request. The Manager at that point did, put me in the Sky Tower at no extra expense. That room was fine. However, I had arrived at the hotel at 7:40 pm., and did not get into that room until 10:20 p.m. I was exhausted after so much hiking and stress and dealing with the rudest employees I have ever encountered. Wondered if Circus, Circus sends its staff out for lessons in surliness.

So, I would say I would not recommend any woman travelling alone to stay at Circus Circus due to the utter lack of the most basic security features. I have written a letter to the Hotel General Manager, and also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

We left after the first night. I agree with another comment that the lobby was like a bus station with people laying all over benches sleeping. The casino is FAR from the elevators. Service was rude. Kids everywhere unattended running around. No ventilation, you need a gas mask due to the heavy choking smoke. My son was scared. Low ceilings, not like a real casino at all!

Excellent place to stay for someone traveling with children. The place has been remodeled and it looks much better and clean than it did a few years ago. (Their duty carpet used to be like a trade symbol). Rooms at the new West Tower are Hilton Quality w/ strip views (when requested) for $10 more. Sky Tower rooms are a bit older for $5 more, but still very decent (Don’t get this if you like a “View” from your room). Casino Tower rooms are the oldest. (Best location, but the age shows) Motel style rooms are given out when booking the cheapest rates (The Manor). These rooms are across the street in the back, and staying here is like staying at the Motel next door. The Adventuredome Theme Park offers State of the Art rides to keep kids and teens busy all day ($15 Adults, $10 Kids for a all-day bracelets w/$4 off coupon found everywhere), even the motion-picture movie is included in the price. Their Buffet has also improved very much. Nice Place "IF" you travel w/Kids, skip it if you arent.

09/02 visit, west tower room was ok, slow shower drain, I don't complain without good reason but, the casino has children all over the place, i like children but they should not be allowed through the casino, many people sitting at a slot machine on an end row with a baby in a stroller or children sitting in the walk way. The place is not very clean, there is a bad smell throughout, except our room was alright. I booked this because of a good price, but wish we would have spent a little more and stayed somewhere else. I stayed at the excalibur in june 02 (owned by same company) and was very happy there. Don't stay here if you want a clean casino with adults only. I only slept and showered here, I ate and gambled elsewhere, never staying here again. I would never take my kids here because of the filth. That must not matter to a lot of people though.

We stayed at the Circus from 9/14/through 9/20. Arrived from Philly via Delta. Check in very smooth, Susan was great and very plesant. Had a Skyview Tower room on the 23rd floor. Room was very clean throughout the stay. Housekeeping staff very freindly and efficient. The Circus is not Bellagio, but what you get is a clean, comfortable room. The buffett at breakfast is not bad. Some items like pancakes don't turnover as fast, so you need to watch what you take. They don't do a bad job for the number of people they feed. People, please remember to leave a buck for the bus staff. It is not a plesant job to clean plates all day. This was our sixth trip. Circus is comparable to Flamingo, but not as nice as T.I. or MGM. We would stay there again.

We didn't win anything in any of the 3 casino's, we did win quite a bit in the Slots-o-fun casino located just out of the entrance. Service was friendly.

I have been to Las Vegas many times and usually stop in the Circus Circus because of a laid back relaxed feeling you have when you play there or spend any time there. Never again. When I visited Las Vegas in August, I made my usual stop at Circus Circus. The hotel has gradually deteriorated over the last few years. The carpet was in desperate need of some attention by the cleaning staff (if they have one). The bathrooms were covered in filth that ranged from hair everywhere to mildew and soap scum. The patrons have "roughened up" a little bit. So much so that you feel you are going to be mugged unless you watch everyone. The kids have never bothered me. They only bother me when there are no parents to supervise them, as was the case this trip. Don't get me wrong. I never expected Circus Circus to be the Bellagio or Venetian, but I do expect cleanliness from anywhere. All the place needs is some new carpet and a cleaning staff and they'll be fine. I would never stay here and will never come in again. In conclusion this hotel is for those who do not value cleanliness, appearence, or any decency what so ever. It amazes me that the company that owns Circus owns Mandalay Bay, Luxor, and Excalibur. They should put the care they put in to those places in Circus Circus.

The rooms we had was in the sky towers. We loved our oversized room. The beds were comphy. Nice bathrooms. Lovely hall ways. The only complaint was that we had to walk through the casino to get to the main elevator to get to our room and we kept being told NO CHILDREN in the casino. Well if you are going to have the main elevators in the casino you should also have a walk way for children to get to the room also with out being told something.

My wife andI stayed at CC for one week in 2001 in the West Tower and for 14 nights in 2002 In the Skyrise. Our first visit was good but on our second visit things were not so good. The rooms in the Skyrise we found getting dowdy and in need of refurbishment, the air conditioning was appaling it could only run when we were out because of the noise. Also the staff were in dispute with management and the atmosphere was not to good. All in all the whole hotel requires a lick of paint new carpets and generaly smartning up.
The hotel is approximatly in the middle of Las Vegas Boulevard a good mile and a half from the main hotels at one end and about three miles from the other delight Freemont Street. The Casino is fine and the hotel is very child friendly a good place to stay as a family or in the RV park, but would not recomend it for old gimmers like us.
The Circus Buffet is good value for money both breakfast & dinner and the Steak house is good value to.
Yes we are going to return this year but this time we are staying for one week at Excaliber and one week at the Golden Nuget. As for the CC I dont think we would risk it again as there other hotels giving the same value but better service and better appointed.

Didn't expect too much and got about what I expected. Circus acts are entertaining. The restaurants are average at best ( with the exception of the Steak House which is first rate). A guy next to me at a bar had to wait at least 20 minutes for an attendent to give him the coins he won. At the same bar a friend was playing video poker and 3 of the hold keys didn't work, he told the bartender who didn't seem too concerned about.

My first visit to Las Vegas, so we booked with Circus Circus (seemed convenient since I went down there to attend the National Open Chess Tournament which was @ the Riviera). First problem, my mom booked a room with 2 beds, but as we arrived they gave us a room w/1 bed, no problem, was corrected within minutes (our checkin' took all of 5 minutes), but it didn't seem like the desk people were focused on their jobs. Didn't have a problem with anything associated with the hotel, but a few things should be corrected, namely: (1) The static electricity was brutal, kept getting shocked all over the place, they could probably soak/spray the carpets with an anti-static solution, but the static would occur in every casino, not just there. (2) Dirty money!!! I played mostly nickel and quarter slots, and my hands were black after 5-10 minutes of play, don't they wash the change daily?!? (3) Rude bartenders, it had never occured to me that bar slang used in Canada would be unknown to many of the bartenders (eg. Crown and Ginger = Crown Royal with Ginger ale drew blank stares from a few bartenders in Circus Circus), but I did find a few bartenders were polite and sociable so they got tipped quite nicely. (4) 14 Channels on the TV, but no TV guide avaliable, and no TNT?!? ;) In any case, I had a great time there, guess I'm just a big kid at heart, and I do plan to rebook with the hotel on my next trip to Vegas. Peace...

When I told Mom about this site she asked me to relay her story: My mother and sister went to circus circus for my sister's birthday...heck of a birthday. My sister doesn't get around very well so when my mom made the reservations she asked for a wheelchair rental. She was assured there would be one available, but they couldn't reserve one. She was under the impression that they were free to guests. Well, guess what? When one was finally available it was $30 a day PLUS a $300 deposit. And don't expect any help with it either. There was a maze of people to manuver a chair around. My mother was obviously struggling and many employees, including one extemely rude security guard, blatentely stared at them as they went up the ramp to the CC platform(my sister has downs syndrome and while we are used to the throngs of people who stare slack-jawed as if they were raised in barns- it's still annoying) and made no offer to help. After reaching her destination (finally) she looks at one of the security guards who was rudely staring (apparently not everyone's mothers taught them it's rude...)and asked why he just stared and didn't offer any help (had he not been staring the entire time she wouldn't of said anything) and he barked "well you didn't ask!" Sorry, didn't realize she was there for his entertainment.

Another guard told her later that you have to ask for help...CC does not *offer* assistance.

For the price and value, you could not beat it. Once you pass the families it was very pleasant. We stayed in room 1554 which was pleasant, however there are some things my husband and I found that was not great.

1. The tv was so far from the bed. We had to strain to see the tv.
2. There was only basic channels, not even a movie channel was listed.
3. There was only one phone next to the bed. If we had brought work with us, (labtop), we would only have the bed as a workspace.

The service was great. Check in was a little hassle. Even with 6-8 check in booths, the line was out the door.

Other than the few items pointed out, this was a unique and experience for us.

thank you

A distinctly average sort of hotel. The room I was given had no view - unless the ducting and neighbouring tower counts. The sink plug and shower in the bathroom didn't work properly. It is cheaper than most of the other Strip hotels, which is the only thing good about it, really. (Although I did like the breakfast buffet)

I made my reservation over a month in advance, and all I asked for was 'quiet' and that's what they gave me. I've always stayed at the main building before, but for the first time they put me in 'building A' at what they call 'the manor'. It's waaayyy off the strip if you go by foot, but use the walkways and people moving escalators and it's much better. The location is great, there's tons of casinos and restaurants and a 24-hour Walgreen's in walking distance. I ate at the buffet, and it is great for the price. I prefer getting my own drinks anyway. Circus Circus has the 'lightest' food of any of the buffets that I ate at on the strip---potatos and veggies and salads, and a huge suger-free desert section, for those of you like me who need them. My room was second floor, end of the hallway, I didn't hear the traffic or anything. The only thing is, 7:00 am and the housekeepers YELL up and down the halls at each other in various languages. But they are good, the room was clean, in good repair, with plenty of hot water and good water pressure (for the aching feet) thank goodness, since I refuse to use cabs and walk/bus all over the place. The buses stop right on Las Vegas Blvd at the corner, which is more than I can say for Bellagio and Mirage. The casino was great, and the staff was friendly, although the waitresses seemed a little stressed, but friendly if you took the time to say hello. Check in is really slow, but take advantage of the 'express checkout' feature if you can.

made reservations as usual. we have stayed many times in the past. each year though seems to get worse and worse. this past trip was the WORST. My roommate had just had foot surgery and was unable to walk long distances. he was out of work a while and we decided to go to vegas for a rest. big mistake. they put us in the manor which is a disgusting pit. not only were we in the manor but the furthest building away. when we got there the locks on the outside door were broken and we couldnt get in. had to have security come let us in. got in the room and the room was dirty called front desk and they had security meet us at another room. got there and the toilet was broken. called maintainence and they came 4 hours later toilet still broken. had to fill a trash barrel with water from tub to flush. stay away

I am lucky to be alive! If I had to stay in that dump one more night I'd of hung myself with the tightrope! Well worth it to spend some extra cash and stay somewhere without roaches/clowns/freaks...

If there is one hotel in Las Vegas that deserves to be imploded...with some of the employees left inside just for fun..this is it..
After making reservations several months in advance...those were fouled up..and the primarily minority staff is pathetic...National Action Network recruits no doubt...
Loud children...and children in general...piss me off...and the place is crawling with them...everywhere...
Rooms actually are not bad...tower room had a nice view of the mountains...bathroom huge...but never ever again...

Have stayed at CC several times in the past few years and have always enjoyed my stays. I have been comped for my last few stays so I would definitely join the One Club (good at all Mandalay Resort Group properties) if your are going to play here. Upon check-in at the Ringmaster Club line I was upgraded to a Mini-Suite at NO CHARGE! It was large and had a separate couch, table and chairs, and the bathroom was large. Overall I had a great time and will be staying there again in January 2002. One of the best values on the strip and not too crowded like the megaresorts.

CIRCUS-CIRCUS WAS A GREAT HOTEL TO STAY AT. THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND UPGRADED. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY. YOU COULD WALK TO THE STRATOSPHERE, THE HILTON AND TO TREASURE ISLAND. THE ARCADE AND CIRCUS ACTS WERE GOOD AS USUAL BUT THE NEW ADVENTURE DOME WAS AWSOME. THE KIDS LOVED THE CLOWNS AND THE RIDES. WE ATE AT THE BREAKFAST BUFFET THREE TIMES AND DESPITE THE PHONEY COMMENTS YOU READ ABOUT THE BUFFET, THE FOOD WAS GOOD. THE BAR BY THE CASINO HAD FREE POPCORN WHICH WAS GOOD. THE ONLY NEGATIVE WAS A GUY NAMED RICHARD (DICK) AT THE SPORTSBAR WHO WAS RUDE.

There are too many gang-bangers for my taste. The whole place in general is dirty. C.C. does have lower rates, but there are other places on the Strip just as low with better rooms.

I got a special rate so I cant be too harsh. HOWEVER, my anticipation was spoilt upon entering the reception foyer which was very poorly lit and looked like a refugee camp. People strewn everywhere, lines of people waiting and no staff (except a badly manned check-in/out desk with very bored and surly staff). After finding my way to my room without any instructions or map, the smoking room STUNK - I'm not too particular, but it was pretty rank. The buffet seemed pretty standard fare, if you like stodgy, starchy and sweet food - the fresh fruit selection was pretty spartan, although I put the food choices down to a reflection on local taste.

The whole place generally looked a bit tired and run-down. The most positive thing was SOME of the staff upstairs in the "side-show" area who were very eager to give prozes away - but the prizes looked as though they had been recycled from the trash-cans in many cases - whats the use of winning a stuffed toy if it looks and smells like it has been run over by the traffic on the strip?

I also spent a bit of time at the casino, where I found, when I was not playing, I was treated with suspicious looks and an occasional "move along" request from staff. Since I am 45 and was quite well dressed (apart from being a hotel guest) I found that this was rude and insulting (but what can you do)?

Book in here at special rates, but DO NOT expect anything special - its real budget accomodation - they really need a marketing expert to tell them where they are going wrong - it could be a great place, but its just a bit scary at the moment.
