We had comped rooms and enjoyed the view of the river.....Beds were ok...I prefer Tropicana Express for comfort, but we decided to check out the Nugget. I can't say I had much luck.....but I played a long time and did not lose anything. They are very good with drink service, coming around constantly and always calling out so you could hear them...my only problem is that to get comp money you really have to run alot through the machines. We will go again but I think we will stay elsewhere.



We had alot of fun here this winter, they had some great mail offers to keep us coming back. The Casino is small but good selection of machines....just wish they had another set of Restrooms, very inconvenient to have to go to one side of the building, especially when you are playing on the other side!!

We didn't stay here but we did play here for a day. The casino is much better than I remember it from a couple of years ago, the staff was friendly and the casino service was good. We will put the Golden Nugget back on the list of casinos worth gambeling at in Laughlin.

We had never stayed at the Golden Nugget and decided to give it a try. What a Mistake!! Front desk service was horrible, acted as though we were bothering them. We were checking in on Sunday and when I visited the desk for the third time was told they don't guarantee rooms to be available on Sunday until 5:00pm! We played in the casino for a half an hour (they play elevator music in the casino!!???!!), and couldn't stand it anymore, we searched the other casinos and were thrilled to find the Aquarius. We spent the first night at the Nugget and dumped them for the Aquarius the next day. We will never enter the Golden Nugget again!

WE DID NOT GET OUR ROOM UNTIL 3:00pm . WHEN WE GOT OUR ROOM HALLWAYS & ELEVATORS WERE VERY WARM(A.C.NOT WORKING). TWO HOURS AFTER WE ENTERED OUR ROOM THE A.C. IN OUR ROOM WAS STILL NOT WORKING! WE COMPLAINED TO MANAGEMENT & TWO DIFFERENT SUPERVISORS. WE WERE TOLD TO LEAVE THE ROOM FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS WHILE THE ROOM COOLED OFF. WE EXPLAINED TO MANAGEMENT THAT WE HAD CHILDREN AND WE DESPERATELY NEEDED OUR ROOM! THEY SHOWED VERY LITTLE SYMPOTHY. WE VISIT LAUGHLIN AND LAS VEGAS VERY OFTEN AND WE WILL NEVER STAY AT THE GOLDEN NUGGET AGAIN!

Wedll, it has finally happened. Just when you thought things couldn't get worse they did. Initially when Landry's took over I thought, "YEAH......things are going to return to the Wynn/Mirage days after the Post era". I was wrong. The casino still has the same old machines and they seem to move them around the casino between my visits. You have to go on an Easter Egg Hunt every time you go here. The rooms, well the shower heads are stuck in one position, the bathroom sinks are alway clogged and the rooms stink. The customer service at the front desk is similar to that at your friendly neighborhood convenience store. We've been loyal Nugget customers for several years but I'm afraid it's time to bid them farewell.

My wife and I have stayed at numerous hotel casinos in Las Vegas, Lughlin and other various locations around the United States. The Golden Nugget Laughlin is by far the best bang for your buck. The rooms are always fresh, clean and maintained very well. The parking garage is connected to the hotel, so that when you exit the elevator you are inside the hotel proper. Check in has always been a breeze. Since Landry's has bought the Golden Nugget in Laughlin and Las Vegas it is returning to the days when the Mirage owned it. The last owners (those internet travel engine boys)did not invest any money in the property and unfortunately the Golden Nugget took a bit of a backslide. However, as mentioned, things are rebounding since Landrey's took over. If you want to experience a true casino hotel without the costumed clowns, knights, cowboys,copa cabana girls, roman emperors, then the Golden Nugget is the place for you. Incidently, the gambling has always been good for us at the Golden Nugget. It took us a while to learn, but we always made money at the Golden Nugget and ended up spending it at the "other" casinos. They welcome all levels of play from the penny slot player to the five dollar video poker players. All I can say is give the Golden Nugget a try and you won't be disappointed.

Vistied Laughlin Love the River don't we all, but Laughlin in general is getting dumpy spent 4 day's in Laughlin and went back to VEGAS and it was a breath of fresh air LEAVING Laughlin. The Nugget was run-down with respect the the rooms, the casino decent and the food good and the black-jack dealers were the CUTE gals with some mileage on'em (Very Nevada). The room was so run down that I couldn't sleep at night. Love the RIVER but the crowd at Laughlin is geriatric

In my previous visits to Laughlin, I've always stayed at the Riverside. Never again. The Golden Nuggett was just what I needed for a relaxing vacation away from the hustle & hectic activities that make up my busy life. I was there 4 nights. I requested a room change after the first night because I was right next to the elevator. The staff was extremely accommodating. I loved the atmosphere with the tropical scenery. I wish the pool had been deeper than 3 feet, but I enjoyed the 3 feet anyway. Good food, great room, excellent trip. From now on, I'm staying at the Golden Nuggett!!

"The Nugget" in Laughlin is a GREAT place to stay and play!! Food is excellent and the service is terrific! The wife and I would not venture out to any other property in Laughlin. You're treated like royalty!

We only stayed at the Nugget for one night since we generally stay at Harrahs but thought we'd try someplace different. Got the room for $25 so couldn't complain at all. The room furnishings were much nicer than Harrahs and the rooms were much quieter. I think next visit to Laughlin we'll stay at the Nugget. They're buffet was not bad either and they didn't charge an arm and leg like Harrahs.

I was there for 4 hours on Friday night Dec. 17, 2004, playing the nickel machine, I was listening for the bells to go off on at least one machine somewhere in the Casino. I did not hear one. I am not surprised there were so few people playing, because the machines in this Casino are very tight, even the nickel machines did not pay out. My advise is to visit the Casino in Vegas, The Golden Nugget there paid out well. Save your money and time. The Golden Nugget in Laughlin is a laugh, You have a better chance playing the state lottery in Arizona. I doubt I will spend one more dime in The Golden Nugget in Laughlin, NV.

Nicely done. Small hotel, not crazy busy like some of the others, just 4 floors. Well-kept property, with the amentities you would expect for the price. Helpful staff. We've been to a few of the Laughlin hotels and this is our favorite.
