- Bad Visit This used to be the cleanest and nicest place in laughlin. what happened? When last I stayed the center of the casino was a big mess. It still is. the rooms are small, dank and dirty. It took me 1 1/2 hrs to get a room service menu, only because I kept calling. the dummy finally just grabbed one from the room next door, which he should have done in the first place.
Casino is so tight it is a joke. harrahs new HET Corp. has ruined another fine property. Congrats.

- Good Visit This was our first trip to Laughlin. We visit Vegas every year and decided to try a few days in Laughlin this year. The weather was beautiful, and the river was gorgeous. The crowd was generally much older folks, so ther is not much of a party atmosphere in town.
We stayed at Harrah's for two nights. It was OK. About what you'd expect from Harrah's. The casino was OK - not great, but OK. I prefer more of a slot selection than they had available. We gambled there only one night of our trip. We spent the second night at the River Palms, which has a nicer, somewhat more exciting casino, with a better slot selection. Laughlin is apparently where old slots go to die.
The room was OK, too. Again, what you expect from a Harrah's. Clean, few frills. No in-room safe, but everything else was in working order. The restaurants were passable. We tried their buffet for dinner one night. Good buffet - better than most. We went to their coffee shop for breakfast once (the buffet was way too expensive for breakfast - I refuse to pay $15/person for a mediocre omelet). Their Mexican place was OK, too. I've had better Mexican food, but I've also had worse. The service was friendly, if not dazzling, everywhere we went.
I liked that Harrah's has separate hotel towers and pools for adults only and for people with kids. While most people were older, there were a lot of people with kids and I prefer to avoid the kids when I'm at the pool. I was disappointed that the jet ski rental was not open until 11:00. We were willing to give it a try, but it was not open when we went down to the dock. We poked around Laughlin for a bit and by the time we got back to Harrah's, we just didn't feel lilke it anymore.
All in all, we enjoyed Harrah's and we enjoyed Laughlin. We will probably visit again someday (though we would probably stay at the River Palms, as we enjoyed ourselves there much more). The only downside is that it is a bit of a hike from Vegas, so it is not convenient for people who fly into McCarran.

- Good Visit
Arrived on mothers day for a 5 day stay. The casino was packed the entire time. You had to wait in line at times to play a machine in both casinos. There were groups of guests from Ca, Midwest, and the east coast. Nobody was winning though, typical Harrahs. However, beverage service was outstanding. Every time you turned around there was a smiling face to take your request.
Visited Aquarius, Gold Nugget, and the Riverside. Wow, they've all turned into COMPLETE DUMPS. Aquarius was almost completely empty, same old machines and employees. You could throw a rock and not hit anyone. The place is falling down in need of something, everything. Rumor mill said that it was sold again. GN about the same. The Nugget is going down the same tral as "Joe's Crab Shack". Which also used to be great. Landry's has lost it's touch for managing it's investments, the peter princible. Don Laughlin would roll over in his grave screeming if he could see what remains of a once proud resort. Back to Harrahs, they still do it right. Clean, great employees, new equipment, the pools and the river area were well maintained. HOWEVER, You could let your number one guest win one jackpot. Next time.

- Bad Visit I never stayed here, but here is the email I sent them!
Comment: Your "Best Rate Gaurantee" is a sham. I found a rate of $19.00/night on a website for December 18-22. I made my reservation and then faxed in all the appropriate paperwork. I waited 4 days and never received a reply via email. I called the 1-800-HARRAHS number and they said this is Atlantic City. They forwarded me to another agent God knows where. The agent did not know anything about your "Best Rate Gaurantee". She gave me another number for Group Sales in Laughlin. I had to wait to call them. When I did call them later that day, they also had no idea what the "Best Rate Gaurantee" was and sent me to VIP Reservations. The next agent did not know what the "Best Rate Gaurantee" was, but asked her supervisor (Joanie) what was I talking about. Joanie knew what I was speaking of, asked for my phone number and the phone number of the fax machine I had sent the original fax to. Then she asked me to send it again...Which I did. 5 Days later and I was not contacted by Joanie. I tried once again today, but was told there is noone that can help me. I cancelled the reservation and will find lodging elsewhere. I don't expect a response to this email (why would things change now?), but I will be adding this email to all the reservation sites I can find.

- Good Visit I just returned from 3 days at Harrahs, my first stay here. I was very impressed from the moment I arrived. Check in was fast and I have never seen such friendly employees. This was brought home while I was standing outside early in the morning and every single employee that walked by on their way to work would greet me and say hello or good morning. The rooms were clean and very well maintained (Central Tower). The buffet was excellent and it was never more than a 10 minute wait, even on Saturday night. The casino was roomy and the slot selection is very good. The non smoking casino was nice and had a great choice of games also. I did use the water taxi on several occasions ($4) and it ran quite frequently. The atmosphere was calmer and more enjoyable than the hectic pace of Vegas and I will be back!

- Good Visit The rooms are small for the price, but the view of the river is great, but the pool is not heated. The restaurants and buffet are very good, and the beach is a lot of fun. The best thing about Harrah's is the staff, they are genuinely friendly and helpful, drinks came often no matter what game we played, and is this hotel clean, beach, pool, restaurants, room, spa and casino all very clean. Harrah's Laughlin reminds me of the service of old Vegas. Go to Vegas to see Vegas, but if you want to gamble and want first class service Harrah's Laughlin is the place to be. Can't wait to go again.

- Good Visit We had a blast at Harrah's Laughlin. It's a great value for the rooms and the staff is the friendliest around. The restaurants are all good. Baja Blue has great margaritas and the lobster bisque at The Range is wonderful! We stayed 4 days and I only spent $165.00 after figuring in my winnings from blackjack. What a bargain! We even got comped a free night. Would recommend Harrah's Laughlin to anyone looking for a fun time at a great value.

- Good Visit Well, another year at Harrahs and I still like the place. I think next time we may stay at the Golden Nugget as the rooms are nicer and quieter as well. Harrahs still beats the Nugget when it comes to the pools though. The Nugget only has one small pool where Harrahs has two good sized pools and one is adults only which is really nice. We didn't eat at Harrahs as much this time though. They jacked the price of their dinner buffet to $14 so they must think they're in Vegas or something. The buffet is great but getting pricey for Laughlin.

- Good Visit My wife and I visited Harrah's Laughlin one day on our way back to Las Vegas. We didn't stay overnight, so I can't comment on the quality of the rooms. However we were impressed with the meal we had at the buffet. The dessert station was fantastic!
But what we both loved about this place was the smoke-free casino. After wheezing and hacking our way thru the casinos in Vegas and Primm, this place was a joy! And we won a few bucks at video poker to boot!

- Good Visit The room was very clean and comfortable. All the amenities except for that pot of coffee that I so desperately need in the morning. The entire staff was very friendly. I went up and down the river in the "river taxi"($3 one way, $6 round trip) to the other casino's and ended up spending most of my time at Harrahs' casino. Their buffet was closed for remodeling so we ended up going to the Hickory Pit at the Riverside. They gave us pagers, and 2 hours later, our pager lit up and we were seated. The dinner was excellent, and we gambled while we were waiting so the time flew by.
