I just poked into the casino on my latest visit because I wanted to see if it was as seedy as some people say. It isn't. Its a nice little locals place with alot of the trucker/Harley Davidson crowd. It was actually very slow when I when I stopped by but the few people that were there appeared to be having fun. I played some slots for about a half hour and then left. I really wanted to try the burger at their restaurant but I was still full from dinner. Next time. I noticed the rooms here are cheap even on the weekends. I think a good strategy is to stay here on Fri/Sat when the strip hotels are outrageously proced and then move to a nicer hotel during the week.

Just stopped by to see the casino. Very small & quit which we all liked. Not smokey at all. Slots were very good for all 8 in our group. BJ tables were full and only 2 of them so stuck with the slots. Ate lunch there too, food was not bad for a hamburg & the prices are very low, a great valve & the restaurant was clean.

I didn't stay at the hotel but stopped at the casino while waiting for my girl friend to arive in Vegas. It
had easy parking and I had about three hours to kill. I played Black Jack. I didn't like the continous
shuffal machine, but I still won so I can not complaine.
We stayed at hte Golden Negget but I enjoyed my experiance so much that I returned our last day.
The food was good at a good price.
But what brought us back was the dealers and Pit Boss. They spoke english and were really friendly. I
had a great time. Dealers at most casinos no longer appear to have a personality. I'm sure that they are
struggling with the English language and are having to concentrate on that as well as most having a
different culture. But like I said I could not have had more fun. Every dealer was friendly, joked around
and made it a pleasure to be there. I think the pit bosses name was Brad. Keep up the good work guys.

There is now 8 years that we come again,From Belgium, in May always at the Wild wild west. For enjoy Las Vegas.

A lot of Positive point:

Near the Strip
Restaurant open 24/24 and realy friendly and family service.
Soup is realy good.Spare ribs recommanded.and all very cheap for the quality.
Your car stay front your door .
Pool is very sympatico and not with 10.000 peoples like in the big Hotels.
Also a jacuzzi realy Hot.
Rooms are confortable with TV, Clima, badroom usw.... clean each day.
We hope to come again for a 9 year.
Also to say that each year, we stay, with my wife 15 days at the wild wild west and no regret, realy top place.
Sorry for my English.
It's right, first time we stay at this motel the name was King 8

This is one smoky, low roller joint with little to offer...except that $1.99 burger. And it was deeeelicious, baby. For an extra buck I turned it into a bacon cheeseburger, and the fries were great too. Service could have been better, but then again I felt bad for the waitress because she was being abused by 3 men at the table next to me who probably weren't even aware that they were behaving like *ssholes.

I've stayed at this property for many years (When it was the old King * Hotel and Casino) some of you may remember it as the old Arco Truckstop. Back in the late 70's and early 1980's it was actually a nice enough place to stay and eat. I stayed here on average of 3-4 days per month, as I traveled from the East-coast to L.A. area and then back again. The food then was pretty good, and always inexpensive for the portions you received, now though they boast of a cheap breakfast, and a Hamburger... Not to appealling. My wife and I stayed here for 3 days in 2004 and I bragged about the friendlyness and cleanleness to the point she had gotten tired of hearing it, by the time we had arrived. I should have kept my mouth shut ... the place was dirty, the food was horriable, the staff was nasty and the rooms ... well let just say that they where less then the picture I had painted on our way out. We got a standard room, the A/C was not working, no problem after 3 1/2 hours they decided to move us to another room ... ah, the A/C was not working in this room either, so after a wait of about 2 1/2 hours the less then courtious staff decided to move us agin ... this time they up-graded us to a suite (had a sofa and coffee table) and BAMM, tha A/C ... she works this time. All in all we spent about $1500 during our stay, and I spent coutless hours trying to make it up to my wife. Our next stay was at the Luxor ... problem solved.
