We're locals so we've stayed at Sunset and put guests up at Sunset many many times. Sunset Station is our favorite casino in all of Las Vegas. They have a good players club, although it was just changed and not for the better, IMO. We have a wonderful host who always makes us feel special. Many employees know our names and stop and chat with us. This casino truly is our home away from home!!

The reception staff at the Sunset Hotel/CAsino need lessons in how to talk to guests. Just because we arrived about 12noon instead of the usual 3pm check in which is normal in most hotels and most of the 5 stars get you in straight away on arrival, this receptionist had the nerve to abuse us and wanted to give us a lecture on checking in at 3pm. My dear lady I work as Assistant Manager with Hyatts and if I heard you talk to a guest like you did to me you would be lucky to get a job cleaning the toilets.

Received a two night comp from Station Casinos. Chose the Sunset Station after a friend recommended it because the Green Valley Ranch and Red Rock were not part of the deal. Casino was very clean and well taken care of. Check-in was a breeze. Did not care for the $5 facility charge applied to all rooms each night. Extra charge for Wi-Fi another drag. Room was very clean. Bed was hard. TV was an old-school 20". Could not believe such a nice hotel would still have plastic cups and not glassware for guests. Good location with nearby freeway access makes a trip to the Boulder Strip, Downtown, or the Strip an easy trip. Location in a middle-class-like neighborhood with lots of shopping and a nearby In-and-Out was a plus.

With the new room upgrading it went form a 2 star to a 3-4 star room much much better!!

Nice rooms. Very clean. Good food and service, at good prices. Good casino with a VERY good players club program. Thumps up.

We stayed at Sunset for two days after spending the same amount of time at Wynn Las Vegas. I wished we would have stayed the whole trip at Sunset. It is much more friendly, and we have become acquainted with some of the staff there, since we have been there before. The Sonoma Steak Celler is still my husband's favorite restaurant, and the manager always greets him by his first name.



We are planning another trip to Vegas in May '06, and my daughter and son-in-law are going with us, and we will be staying at Sunset. They can't wait.

The rooms are very comfortable and well worth the walk to the casino. Check-in is fast and simple. We had good luck at Casino, enjoyed the restaurants, and could have spent a week there. Much nicer then the stuffy Green Valley Ranch where I stayed last summer. They hand out comps and reward you for your play. We will be back in Dec. Thanks Sunset for a great visit.

Sunset Station is the nicest hotel we've visited in the Las Vegas area. Because it was our first stay, we were upgraded to a junior suite at no cost. The room was gorgeous. Because SS isn't anywhere near the Strip or downtown, it's quiet outside at bedtime.



The casino has a lovely Southwestern decor and is kept very clean. Every single employee was courteous and helpful. At most hotels, the slot personnel and housekeeping staff don't even acknowledge guests. At SS, they went out of their way to be nice.



Room service provided good food at a very reasonable price. The 24-hour diner served very good food too with good service.



Henderson is to Las Vegas what Orange County is to Los Angeles. There's a lot of good restaurants and fun shopping there, so we didn't spend much time on the Strip after all.



All in all, we just loved Sunset Station and would definitely stay again.

When I checked in to the Hotel the Bell Man took my luggage and said it would be up in a few minutes. After waiting 30 minutes I called the desk and was told it would be up in a few minutes. I again waited another 45 minutes. I called the desk and they told me it was on its way and were sorry for the delay but that they were busy. When I checked in at 5 P.M. there was no one at the desk but me so how busy could they be.

The next day I slept late and housekeeping called at one to see if I needed service that day. I told them I would be leaving at 2 PM and I would like the room cleaned and new towels. I arrived back at my room at 9PM to find the room hadn't been serviced. I called the desk and was told that someone would be up right away. We then decided to go and have dinner as I had been sent a dinner for two comp in the mail. When I arrived back at midnight the room still was untouched. Needless to say I was furious. I then went down to the desk to complain in person. Again I received an apology from the night manager. I asked that they at least send me up some clean towels. What I actually received was 3 bath mats and was told that there weren't any towels. I called the desk and insisted that they find clean towels and a few minutes later they were delivered. As for the free dinner comp, it was like pulliong teeth to get the casino host to honor it. When I asked that it be taken off my bill she asked me to show her the letter I had received and then proceeded to ask the manager if he had ever seen one of them before. I was never so embarrassed. It was almost as if they were accusing me of trying to get away with something. There are so many excellent hotels in Las Vegas That I could reccommend that are also a good value. Dont waste your money or your vacation at Sunset Station!!!

I love Sunset Station. After spending four nights at the Stratosphere (which is OK), we arrived at Sunset Station for a three-night visit (I have family in Henderson). The casino is clean, spacious, with a wonderful inventory of video poker at all levels of play. The only thing is I wish they had jacks or better and more bonus boker at the $.25 level. It's double bonus or double double bonus which I guess the locals like. We had a breakfast buffet at The Feast (great value, great food). We had several meals in the cafe (again, excellent value, good food). The rooms are spacious and clean with lots of wood. We love Sunset Station!!!!!
