Myself and six friends visited the casino to use coupons found in the American Casino Guide. We ate lunch and I had the $6.99 steak special - decent steak and overall a very good deal. The casino was small and rather dark, but had the essential games, which we played for a while. However, the bartender was nothing but a rude a-hole so we left. You would think that with the economic and unemployment conditions in Nevada right now, these places would be welcoming to your business, but that was not the case with Ellis Island Casino. Not to worry, there are hundreds of other places readily willing to accept our gambling business.

I walked into this place expecting the star wars bar music to hit the second i opened the doors..Place was dingy but had a good feel to it. I sang karaoke, what a cast of characters in the karaoke bar, made me feel really good about myself.....cheap booze, the steak was cash money on a plate, all in all good times, except for soem dude who was calling himself the grim reaper and was all messed up, i should have bundled him....will come back net time for shizzle!

the rooms are small and clean. the casino small and friendly. i won a little here. now here is the deal-the best food deals in town. steak, ribs, shrimp, and pizza. all good quality and CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. DONT MISS THIS PLACE!! i have heard that they have applied to expand. i hope they dont lose the quality they have now. i have nothing but good to say about ellis island!!

We diddn't stay at motel . WE stayed at ballys. 2 minute walk for the best meal your ever gonna eat for the price! ELLIS ISLAND !!!!!!! ok dinner for 2 15.95 (1) prime rib dinner with brewed root beer (2) steak dinner with brewed beer. ALL this for 15.95 with freakin tax! IT WAS THE BEST MEAL OF THE WEEK!!!

Had my daughters wedding recption here. They have a room that you can use, if you get your food and drinks there. Staff is fantastic. Can't say enough good things about this place. We have friends that live in vegaas and they told us about it.

You know what you're in for when you book here--it's a Super 8, after all, so you're not getting the Bellagio or even the Sahara. But it's in walking distance to many popular lower Strip hotels, the restaurant is good, and best of all--HBO in the room, so you won't miss The Sopranos (I decided to stay here, instead of a major hotel casino, for this reason alone--HBO!)

The pool is small but nice. The location, off the Strip, is a bit seedy. A few run-down apartments and possible ladies of the night around you. Not a good place for the family. But clean and you can't beat the price.

This site needs to have a separate listing for the restaurant. The $4.99 steak special is excellent. Ate there twice during my latest trip. The steak is excellent and you can't beat it for the price. The service was lacking this trip, though. Drinks went empty several times and it took several requests to get simple things like steak sauce and butter. Hope they get their act together.

Total horror show.
