- Good Visit Station Casinos have surpassed Coast Casinos with value for your dollar. I've stayed in many Station locations, but this was my first at visit to Texas. It has a great casino, good rooms, great service, good value, and I had a great overall visit. Texas has a huge casino, similar in size and and setup to Sunset or Boulder. VP is always better at a Station. Just like any other off strip location, a car is needed to get around. Less than 10 minutes to the strip.

- Undecided The rooms at Texas Station are a decent value if you get a rate under $100. The rooms are larger than average with a large bathroom and have your usual appointments. The rooms that face north have a lovely view of the outside wall of the cinemas and it's damn close! Austin's Steakhouse can hold its own with any steakhouse in town. Unfortunately, the casino, while nice, is a cemetery. Even on Super Bowl weekend, the casino was basically dead. This is definitely a locals place. If you enjoy some energy in a casino, you will be disappointed with Texas Station.

- Good Visit We liked Texas Station, good rooms, good restaurants and nice gambling for the video poker fanatics out there like us.
One thing I did not like was the swarms of children running all over the place in the buffet area not controlled by their parents.
I can understand bringing the family by the buffet for an inexpensive meal- I can't understand letting them roam around like a mongul horde

- Good Visit I was on business travel, but I was disappointed at the fact that on the internet one of the amenities listed was coffee pots in the room (I looked for this since it is not common in Las Vegas), however, this was not true. When I requested one, I was told that only rooms on certain floors that were more expensive had coffee pots. I was told they would try to find one for me by several employees, but the minute I stop talking to them I heard nothing back from them. I was in the hotel for 6 nights.
Also, one of the ratings that I found on this site stated that they called ahead for a casino hostess and requested what they wanted and the hostess took care of everything. I called the hotel in advance trying to ensure that I would receive a non-smoking room and I requested to talk to a casino hostess (same name as this person listed) and I was told that the front desk handled this and it was on a first come first serve basis. My response to this is that the person that listed the comments must have been a high roller or something special because the average business person does not receive any special consideration or even normal consideration. The slots were tight and I never seen anyone winning anything over $100. and there were few of them.
I would never stay there again. If I would have known that there was not a way to heat water in the room, I would have tried to bring something with me on the airplane. I can't believe that they could not find a coffee pot for me to use, especially since the hotel was not full. I would encourage everyone to send in their ratings for the hotels because that is where we can make a difference. I will add that the room was very dark - lights did not provide good enough light for any long term reading, my room face another wall which was okay, the bed was very comfortable, but the only thing provided except soap was shampoo and it was not very good for my hair and there was no conditioner (I usually bring my own, but forgot to do so). Hope this help the next person in making a decision as to whether they want to stay at this hotel. It is by itself except for the Fiesta across the street. No shopping in the area.
