This was absolutely our worst experience at a hotel in our traveling experience. From the keys that wouldn't work, no elevator security at night, room not available for check-in at 7:45pm, terrible food in coffee shop, non-smoking floor with neighbor smoking and banging headboard the first night, irritating advertising messages on voice mail, casino is dinghy and dark. Big surprise upon checking out - room went up from $100 per night to $209 per night even though I had email confirmation. Desk clerks and their managers nasty and beligerent. Where ever you stay - don't make it TI!

TI is a great place. Nice petite suite, right off the elevator. Great beds. Great view of the strip and pool. Drink service was fast in the casino. Nice location to start a walk about. Staff seems happy Phil took over from MGM. The casino showed me a little love. The fashion show mall was an EZ fun visit. Not so many porn slappers on this side of the strip. I began to miss them. :)

The sirens show needs to be revamped but was fun for a bit. Love Canters deli.

I would stay again if Phil gives me some future offers. I write this in July and the offers are REAL small so far.

We were moderately surprised to find how nice it was staying here. We came here because we wanted to be located at this part of the strip for once and we had a few hunderd dollars of MGM-Mirage vouchers to use up from the MGM rewards credit card. Had a small but nicely appointed and comfy room with a wonderful strip view. Got our rooms comped after the stay from gaming, got 2 for 1 tickets to Mystere(which was awesome). We had a great time losing money in the casino which is not something that normally is enjoyable, but the casino has some fun machines. We will stay here again if the new ownership does not mess up what seems to be a good thing.

I visited with my daughter for two nights and was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I used to stay at TI all the time until a couple of years ago when we had a couple of bad experiences and changed to Mandalay Bay. The problems we had seem to have been cleared up. We stayed in a redecorated Executive Suite and it was great. The casino has new machines that we love, and my daughter enjoyed the lower limit Black Jack tables. All in all it was a great trip and I have convinced my husband to give TI another try!

Stayed at the T.I. for three nights starting on May 11th and found check-in to be a brezze, we were given a room on the 12th floor and it was clean and great (any hotel that has the nerve to use white bedding and keep it so clean is doing something right), the staff from the valet on up was very attentive and friendly and we did not find any signs of the place being run down. The room, and any common areas were kept clean, the pool area was attended by several people cleaning it up the 2 times we went down there, and the buffet was top notch. My wife and I will be staying here again on our next visit to town.

Had a brief one-night stay in early April. Check-in was quick and the room was nice, only a little small. Didn't matter for me as the bed was incredibly comfortable and nice to pass out on after drinking until 10am (Thanks for late check-out). Location is great in my opinion as I tend to prefer the area over the southern end of the strip.

Room that was booked and paid for was not ready at check-in. Waited for 3 hours for a room and ended up getting a room type we were not pleased with. Desk people at one time lied to me about type of room they were getting for us and then would not discuss the different room we were given. The room we had was a strip view but the windows were so dirty it was hard to see out. Casino did not have the number and selection of machines that are in other casinos. The place seems to be geared to the younger crowd. Not much for the middle agers to do other than gamble. Slots were tight for me but my wife did OK. Attendents and desk people seemed to be nice but I felt as they were putting it on and didn't really care if we were there or not (if we didn't like something, to bad, someone else will take our spot.) Very very poor face to face customer service. We will not be back.

The rooms - with new modern decor - are some of the best I've seen in LV. And if you're lucky, you get a view of the South Strip. Pool area got cool and shady pretty early, was a decent pool crowd throughout the afternoon though. Casino is small... and frankly, only worth playing if you're too lazy (or too rushed) to go elsewhere. The poker room is 'ok', win-able tourneys with only 4-5 tables. Not much cash game action... I imagine it's soft. The restaurants are fair to good, depending on how snobby you are. The location was actually quite good. Compared to the Trop/Blvd intersection area, this part of the strip puts you near several higher end joints like the Wynn, Venetian, etc. Though I must say I didn't spend a whole lot of time in those places. Given everything, the value was ok.

Check in 8/23/07 check out 8/25/07 Short trip, that was combined with a short NY. NY. Stay.

Check in was early and easy. Later in the day the lines grew, The lobby area was clean.

Room- was the standard deluxe Vegas room with two beds. The room had one of those big closet, drawer, open the doors for the TV pieces of furniture in it. The TV was a flat screen. My wife said it was hard to watch. You could not turn the TV toward the bed.

Bath Room- It was normal for the room. Both were clean.

Elevators/hallways- fast and clean.

Spa- I didn’t check out the spa. The wife said a manicure was $40.00 on the price list.

Staff- friendly,,

Food- Coffee shop- it’s showing it’s age but not bad. The food was .. Coffee shop food, it was good. The portions were big. On price, call it $9.50 for a burger and fries add a $1.00 if you want cheese. You could play keno while you ate.

Food - buffet- It’s showing it’s age but not bad. It reminded me of an old Vegas buffet at New Vegas prices. About $22.00 for dinner and about $12.00 for breakfast. A fair selection to choose from.

Casino layout- floor plan- lines of sight-,,, I have seen better.

Sports book- looked comfortable, like it was in a room addition to the building.

Pool- The wife liked it, (She is the pool pro) She didn’t have to get there at opening time to get a lounge chair. Two frozen drinks of average size $17.00

Fashion Mall- there is a direct bridge walk way from the casino up over the street to the mall.

Stores in the hotel- for shopping- OK

Slots- I found no sticky buttons, no problems with bill acceptors, coin in started at 1 cent on up.

Craps- always had a group of people.

Video Poker- The pay scales for jacks or better, 25 cents, 7/5, for 50cents and a dollar 8/5 If I remember correctly the progressive 25 cent jacks or better was 7/5. In the high slot room $5.00 machine had full pay at 9/6.

Black Jack- Early morning say 5:00 AM. until mid afternoon. There was, three five dollar tables with constant shuffle ( more hands per hour more money for the casino) machines. I don’t play at a table with the constant shuffel, I don’t like them, I enjoy short breaks while the dealer is shuffling, take a run to the restroom.( Which were not located conveniently )

There were 4 to 6 black jack tables that were $5.00 single deck, where black jack payed 6/5. Only a clueless tourist with no knowledge of how badly he/she is getting ripped off would sit at a 6/5 table. I was not a happy camper. They opened up more tables at 8:00 PM. Thursday night. There was a single deck $25.00 table and about three $10.00 tables with a shoe. My first day I waited until 8:00 PM to play BJ. Friday morning my option was a table with the constant shuffel machines. They did open up the other tables at about 2:00 PM Friday with a $15.00 minimum.

Wife’s over all rating. The room was OK, the Pool was Good, the food was OK. She felt safe in the hotel, the guards checked for room keys at night.

The question to her was, if you had to choose a hotel would you stay at TI on your next trip or would you stay else where? She said “ I would stay at TI if they comped us the four nights and some food ”. “Else where If we had to pay”.

My over all rating. It’s been years since I stayed at TI. I go to Vegas to gamble. With low VP pay scales, and constant shuffel machines it’s safe to say I will not hurry back to TI....

Over all this is a nice, feel safe hotel for the person on vacation that doesn’t plan to gamble a lot and wishes to save a little money compared to the Mirage prices.

I was on a road trip moving my daughter to Los Angeles for her first year of college. I booked a room months in advance. When I arrived at 5pm my room was not ready yet even though check in time starts at 3pm. They offered me an up- graded room for additional money, or I can wait 2 hours for them to get my room ready. Amagine driving a mooving truck 11 hours and getting a hassel upon arrival to a hotel that was already booked and confirmed. Also, parking a truck at Treasure Island is impossible... you park at the Mirage. All I wanted was a room, a shower, and a meal. My advice is DON'T STAY AT TREASURE ISLAND!

Great room, the beds were the best, most comfortable I have ever slept on. Staff very accomdating, my sister is a diabetic she needed a frig in the room for her meds, it was there in less than 15 minutes after check in. The pool area is very nice. To navigate the hotel is very easy, the pool, restaurants, valet and casino are not 100 miles away, great layout. I would really suggest this property to everyone.

For a person in their mid-twenties on their honeymoon, T.I. was great. Have never been to Vegas before but it seems like it was a crowd right at my age and the club was cool too. Food was decent but kind of pricey. Room was average size but had new flat screen t.v.'s. Beds were kind of on the firm side but that is exactly how i like it. The bathrooms were quite spacious as well. The desk attendants were very helpful. I would definitely recommend it to people in the 21-35 age range.

Stayed at TI for about the 4 millionth time. As usual, very pleasant visit. I do agree with many of the raters, the service is not as good as it once was. However, I would venture a guess that the service is probably as good as most hotels. Will be going back for the 4,000,001st time soon and still look forward to my stay.

My wife, son, and I visited TI for 3 nights the first week of April. Check in was quick and easy around 5pm on Sunday. Room was easy to find, relatively short walk from it to everything, and very clean. The pool was great (according to my wife, all I did was order a drink and sit for 30 mins)! The casino was busy and not too many machines or tables available, but what can you do?

Winning at VP made it seem better, but drink service during 3 of the 4 gambling trips was horrible; 3 trips of 2 to 3 hours each had not one drink...the 4th trip of 2 hrs had great drink service constantly... no rhyme or reason. One server during a bad night said we weren't in her area and she'd get someone over to help us, but 2 hrs later: nothing!

"Isla" is a great mexican restaurant and bar we visited 3 times; excellent service and food with every tequila you could want. The buffet is nice atmosphere and good food, "Coffee Shop" always was a good quick meal and service.

Room was cleaned quickly each day (we were always gone, so perfect), hotel service was excellent, and everyone was smiling (except the overworked cocktail server)!

Date Visited: 01/07 - Bad Visit

Let me first just say that my Girlfriend and I have stayed at Treasure Island

just about every year from when it was built up to a few years ago when it

changed. Probably have stayed there at least ten times.

Who is the genius that decided to take down the cool skull and cross

bones sign on the strip? Now it's a big "TI" sign. Call this place what it is,

which is Treasure Island. It used to have a theme. Yes, it was about

pirates, adventure, and buried treasure. It used to be "Pirates of the

Caribbean" for adults. What’s the theme now? “If you’re over thirty, you’re

not cool anymore”.

I cannot believe they took out the battle bar and built a club named

Tangerine. You're telling me a bunch of twenty something kids paying a

big cover charge and buying a few Zema's is bringing in more money than

twenty video poker machines and a full service bar? No way.

The Hide Away bar is also some club now. The name escapes me. It’s

like “Mist” or “Spray” or something like that. The bar still has some video

poker machines, but none of the people were playing them, just me and

my girlfriend. Can they get the music a little louder?

Nice job changing the pirate show out front. Just take a look at the

reviews on this web site. Good one. Most people hate it. One thing that I

will say about the hotel is that the rooms are nice. The tower suites are

huge. I will assume they have not been ruined by the present

management.

Can someone explain to me why they are trying to cater to a younger

crowd? I’m only 40 and this place is making me feel 85. Most twenty year

old adults don't even have that much money to blow in Vegas. Know any

twenty three year old's that make over a hundred thousand a year? Not

many.

Well, it's Wynn from here out. We stayed there for two nights. What a

place! Bye bye “TI”.

Our family went to Vegas on December 24th and stayed until the 28th.Family consisted of 75 year old grandparents,50 year old parents and 3 young adults in their middle 20's. We all enjoyed our rooms at TI. We each had a wonderful view of the pool, the mountains and most of all the awesome strip. The room was a little smaller than our last stay at the Mirage, but the bathroom was much larger than the one at the Mirage so I think all in all the room was better at TI. The room decor was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel was packed the whole time we we're there with LOTS of families with small children! Not a problem for us, but Vegas sure doesn't seem like the place for little kids. The 3 people in their 20's are going back to Vegas with other friends in March and have already booked their rooms at TI again!

Made my reservations on short notice and recieved a good rate for four nights. This property was very nice and secure. Everyone I spoke with was informative and nice. My room was always clean and my lights were on when I returned to my room at night or early morning. The casino was also nice and the dealers were very friendly. I had only one complaint and that was the tram to Mirage was not open all the time, which would have made my trip a little easier since I went to the Mirage to meet other people in our party. The walk did me good considering all the good food I ate. Check-in was a breeze and checkout was sad but quick. Basicly I loved every minute of the vacation.

We have stayed at TI's sister property, The Mirage, several times but decided for this trip to try TI. Rooms are a virtual clone to the Mirage with slightly different decor theme. Somewhat small by Vegas standards but fine with nice amenities. Great location on the strip and very handy for visiting other casinos and shopping. Check in was reasonably quick although my $20 tip didn't seem to get me anything different than what I would have got without it. Sometimes it works... sometimes it doesn't.

Had a lunch at the Kahuna restaurant... bad move. Poor menu, even poorer service. Horrible atmosphere for lunch... it may be better for dinner with a full restaurant but it just doesn't work for lunch.

Had a dinner at Isla... had been there before on another trip. Excellent food and service as before. Little tip... it's not a bad little bar to take a break from gambling in the afternoon. The chips and salsa is about as reasonable of deal you will get anywhere and the margaritas are excellent.

Our usual deal for Vegas is to gamble late, go to bed late except on the night before we are leaving. On those nights we always play through the evening and early morning hours, get a quick shower and change early morning then hit the coffee shop for a quick breakfast (and some black coffee) before leaving for the airport. On this trip the breakfast had to be our best meal and service we have had in Vegas for a long time. Our server was timely and had a great manner. He was very upbeat and constantly cracked dry jokes about Vegas and things... we enjoyed it greatly.

I've stayed at several of the larger hotels in Las Vegas. Our stay at the treasure island is by far the worst experience we've ever had. When we got to our room our tv wouldn't pick up anything, when we told management they're response was"what do you want us to do all the rooms are out it's a problem with the cable provider."If they already knew this why weren't we made aware at checkin. We gambled for many hours put our drink orders in and never saw the server again, when we told management they passed the buck and said that's a casino issue. It's sad that the American public is so starved for entertainment that these casinos can act this way because they know if you get mad and leave another person will be right behind you to rent the same room.Another thing at checkout time there were at least twenty people in line to checkout and the hotel had two employees working the checkout desk.I guess they can't afford enough minimum wage employees with the millions they're raking in.

Had a very good stay at TI, first time in Vegas, enjoyed alot of the amenities of TI. The buffet at Dishes was nice, tho would have thought they might have offered different things from day to day. Food was fresh and good. Tho Starbucks in general is usually overpriced, ate there last day for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised a Venti (large) coffee was not the $6 i was expecting, but slightly under $3 -- the breakfast at Dishes was a $21.95 brunch that wasn't announced the day before. Slots are tight, tho had some suprising good luck at the multi-denom. 5¢ and 10¢ machines. If you want the bed linens changed, it seems you have to ask - it doesn't happen automatically - tho they are happy to do it. Room cleaned nicely and in timely manner.

BUT -- I will say I suspect TI goes for the first-time visitor (i read these reviews before going but after purchasing my air + hotel) instead of seasoned visitors, as I . As I'm only 34 it seems I agree with the fact that they cater to the younger crowd (20s) but they also cater to retired folks, and that leaves everyone in between feeling left out. So while I had a good visit and good feeling initially, I would need to stay at a few other hotel in Vegas to see if my reactions are from Vegas itself or just TI.

I would also say going during the week is great! I arrived on Tuesday (few crowds) and left on a Friday and it was more crowded that morning than any other time during the other days I was there, and I could tell it would a total madhouse Fri and Sat. nites. I stayed the week before Labor Day so I'm sure Labor Day weekend (as well as Memorial Day weekend are a madhouse, and if you choose to go during these times what do you expect??? Plan in advance and go some weekend before a holiday or after but not during. Next time I go it will be definitely during the week as I would prefer to avoid the cattle drives that obviously come up during the weekends. Also if you are like me and don't use credit cards and just your debit card, don't put your card down for the room deposit as they hold $300 and charge everything else on top of it -- if it is optional then choose carefully. It did on the upside keep me from going a bit overboard though with gambling. And lastly TAKE CASH, the ATMs charge at least $3 if not $4, plus any charges your bank or credit card company adds.

Check in couldn't have been smoother... We got to the hotel at 1:30 pm on a Friday and was able to check in immediately... The room was nice, but small, and we had been upgraded to a "strip-view" room... The window for the "view" was small (had to be standing next to the window to see the strip)... Nice size bathroom =)... The service in the coffee shop was horrible... Ordered cereal and eggs and it took almost 30 minutes to get our food and never did get 2nd's on coffee until we raised our hands... Both rooms keys quit working after 24 hours (bummer!) Perfect location to Mirage(free tram) and Wynn (overstreet briges)! Loved the casino !! Several $5 tables which was good since we were with 6 people who had never been to Vegas ! TV check-out didn't work, bathtub was clogged, lights in closet would NOT go off, but did get fixed as soon as we brought this to their attention! .. Make sure you use the VIP option if you plan on seeing Sirens of TI ! Walked up 5 minutes before the show started and had better spots than the other 3000 people that had been waiting in the heat !Great trip, not that impressed with TI compared to other hotels we've stayed at on the strip !

Checked in the Wed of Memorial day offered an upgrade to Stripview - no charge. Room was two floors from the top, great view, could see Mandalay Bay from our room. Room was clean and exactly as pictured. Room was quiet, no door slamming or loud conversations in halls. If heading up the strip be sure to take the tram to Mirage, much quicker. Used the breakfast coupon given at check-in for Khaunaville. Service a little slow - we were first customers of the day. Food was hot. Also ate at Isla - very limited menu, service was okay, food was okay. All in all, a good visit.

Very happy with the hotel, the service and the food. Casino was ok. I doubt any pay out a lot. We stayed for several days with another couple.

Both of us have stayed at a number of different casinos in recent years. This compared favourably with MGM.

Both the hotel and casino staff were friendly and provided good service. Food was tasty, ample and worth the money in the buffet (we had breakfast) and the two restaurants we tried (Kahoonahville?)

Only complaints

1. The ladies found the new Sirens show tacky.

2. You don't get much for your gambling points

Great property for the price. The rooms are nice and clean. This is a smaller property so it does'nt offer all of the ammenities of its sister property mirage, but it is also alot less expensive and most things about this property are just as nice.

after reading all the reviews i was worried about my wife &i staying @TI .it was not as bad as everyone said but it is bad.we went to the tangine louge/bar and the bouncers we as big jerks you could ever meet .we had 1 drink and left ,the only good thig about it was we got in free since we stayed at TI.the buffet was probally worst than the airplane food we had on our flight over.the steak house was out standing alittle bit pricey but it was worth the money 2 drinks i ahd the ahi tune and my wife had the garlic chicken was the best .the casino is TIGHT ,so we played more over @mirage.the 1 thing that tops it off is you have to carry your luggage through the casino to get to the elevators.

For my daughter's 21st birthday, we decided to stay at the Treasure Island. We had received mixed reviews but decided to check it out ourselves and we are so glad that we did. All staff was remarkable! Our room was beautiful, clean & comfortable. The hotel was easy to get around to find our way. We found easy access to wherever we wanted to go from the TI. The food was great! Our only disappointment was that the ships were down for maintenance. I will definitely be back and TI will be my choice when I return.

My mom and I came here on short notice Thanksgiving Eve and stayed through the weekend. I had always been interested in staying at Treasure Island because my favorite Vegas show, "Mystere", is there, and I'd enjoyed the public areas here.

We were truly, and delightfully, surprised. The standard room was the nicest either of us had stayed in at a Vegas hotel, even nicer than MGM Grand's. The bathroom was especially good. The pool was fine, and the hot tub was even better (especially on a cold weekend!). The casual restauants and quick food places were reasonably priced and high quality - Mom loved the fries at Canter's Deli. I decided to try a spa treatment this trip, and I doubt I could have made a better choice than the salon/spa here, which was reasonably priced yet quite pampering. Transportation options were excellent - the bus stop is not far from the main or lobby entrance, there are pedestrian bridges in both directions, and a prompt tram to the Mirage nearby. Service was never less than good and often excellent at the desks, spa, restaurants, and showroom. And - unusual for a newer hotel - it didn't take forever to walk anywhere within the building. A wonderful hotel that is well worth a stay.

It seems that none of the hotels care about the welfare of their quests.

We were part of a group tour and spent 4 nights at this hotel. The room

was fair - just another hotel room and ours was located at the end of a long corridor. It was quite a walk from the elevator to our room. It seems that all the hotels place the elevators, rest rooms, restaurants, etc, all on the OTHER side of the casinos. That's right, you have to walk past all the tables and slots to get anywhere. At the Treasure Island we had to check out by noon, and then wait around until we left for the airport at 9 PM. Nowhere to just sit and just lounge around, expect in the Lounges (where you had to buy a drink, or by the slots. We ate a late lunch, were finished by 5 with still 4 hours to kill. Finally had to sit in the lounge and nurse a drink until it was time to leave. So if you don't gamble (or are broke) there is no where to just lounge without spending money!!!! And that goes for all the casino hotels!

We spent 5 days in Las Vegas, saw it, enjoy the sights, the shows and the buffets (Paris and Treasure Island have the best buffets), made our 'investments' and left - I douth if I will ever go back there again.

my best friend and i went to las vegas with our husbands to celebrate our 30th bdays. i was almost scared to stay at treasure island because i had read the rating on this web site and a majority of them were bad. as soon as we arrived from the airport we had wonderful service. the front desk was very fast and allowed us to check in 3 hrs. early at no charge. we had someone immediatly offer us help with our bags. the rooms were very clean, I wish my view out the window would have been of the stip and not of the freeway. we ate at all of the resturants in the hotel. The service wasn't all that great, but most of the service we had in las vegas wasn't all that great. The food was good everywhere except kahunaville, but the scenery made up for it. The prices were outragous, but I knew the city would be like that going in. the gift shops all had different prices so shop around. at one gift shop ciggarettes were $6.50 and at another they were $7.00. the casino is awful. the blackjack table pay out nothing. they have those new shuffle machines and do not use a shoe likethe older casinos. after four nights of see the dealer get hundreds of 21's and blackjacks we decided we would stay at the hotel, but we'd probably gamble at the venitian or ceasers.

I did this and we wound up paying only $89 tax included with a bunch of free coupns for drinks and buffet discounts! We also had a deluxe suite with was very spaciouse! I really liked the giant mirror on one wall (definatlly not a kid place!) The pool was rather dull but warm and great for a mid summer day (109 outside!) But the staff was great and always polite made us feel really welcome! So if you want a escape from the kids go to TI.

For the most part my visit was fairly nice. I didn't care for my view however; I must have been looking out the back because I could swee the Love Shop across the street. I also noticed a rather high level of noise for being on the 24th floor. Another thing that atnnoyed me was the disorienting effect of the elevator. I don't know if it was the same on all floors, but it seemed like if you got in at the right-front elevator, you would exit at the left-rear elevator. I guess it wasn't bad once I got used to it but it still bothered me.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our very first trip to Vegas. Upon arrival, they put us in a double non-smoking room, where we had asked for a smoking king. It was quickly changed. Over all the rooms are very nice, the staff is decent, but when it comes to the casino, and the dealers, they are awfull!! Those are some of the rudest employees we have ever come accross. I reccommend this place if you are just looking for a place to stay with decent rooms, but not to gamble. Needless to say, we spent our time in other casinos.

Stayed for two nights in March, 2005. Room was just OK. Nothing fancy. No fridge or coffe maker. Just a safe in closet. (I got fridge in Strato and coffee maker in WWH, where rooms are a lot cheaper than TI.) Went down to casino first night. Played Deuce's Wild waiting for cocktail waitress to show up. For one hour, none showed up. It was just amazing. Never experienced this kind of poor coctail service in other casinos. After omre than an hour of being thirsty, I ended up playing a VP machine in the bar, where I could get drinks from bartender. Got dirnks all right there but they kind of acted like that they are doing favor for me by giving me drink. Like they are buying me drink, you know. As always I was giving $1 tip for every single order but didn't really feel the usual appreciation that I get from other casinos. Their VP pay table is as bad as other Strip casinos. I played deuce's wild while drinking but it was hard to beat with the bad payout table they had. Slots seem very tight, too. FYI: Stayed in NYNY for next two nights. Much better cocktail service. Nicer rooms. Nicer casinos even though it's same tight Strip slots, etc.

I visited this property with my dad... When we go to Vegas, everything is comped by the casino we are staying at including our airfare. This was the most awful casino... The high limit slot hosts were rude and when they did give us show tickets to Mystere, they put them on our room charge. They told us they were free. This casino seemed shady. The coctail waitresses were slow and very unpersonable. The slots and tables were tight, rooms lame. We had a tower room with a view of the pirate show and strip. Food was very expensive. If we had paid for anything I would have been pissed!

What have they done to this casino? I use to stay here in preferance to any other hotel on the strip. It is now a sorry site. Who ever decided to change this hotel from the plesent Treasure Island that it was into the HIP TI they think it is now is out of his mind. They have removed the battle bar for a dingy night club, how can that be generating money I have no idea. This latest idea of putting in 1 cent & 5 cent machines in preferance to 25cent & doller machines only goes to prove how hungry the management is. I guess the idea is get the poorest people in and fleece them out of the last penny!!!! Vegas use to be about escapeism for me a place to go and stay in good surroundings after working for a year and let your hair down live a little above your everyday routine good food and plenty of entertainment and Vegas use to offer this. Not any more. TI is a typical example of this the food is plain, the casineo dingy, the COMPS no existant ( we stayed at Caesers but gambled in MGM casinos with the MGM card ran up 6000 points and when I asked about any comps they said get lost as we did not stay at a MGM hotel) they can kiss my patronage goodbye. So can Las Vegas I think I will try Atlantic City next.

Our visit started off great, we got in at 7 am walked right up to the desk and was able to check in early with no extra charge. The room was awesome also, we got a corner room with two windows, both with awesome views, one clear down the strip and the other the snow capped mountains. You also get vip standing room to watch the "Siren" show. We did eat at the restaurants there and the food was alright, but I fell in love with Isla the tequila bar. Loved that tequila!! If you can afford it, have the Goddess make you her special!!

All in all it was a good trip, I did feel that the slots were a bit tight, but our last night there proved me wrong :o)

We will be staying here again!

Hey everyone it's me again . Well we were there from 12/13 thru 12/17th . We arrived early and due to the time of year they allowed us to check in about a hour early . They did exactly what they said they would . A room on the south side with a view ... But they went one better they gave me a room on the 35th floor and I could see two different angles nice job guys . The service was good but the buffet was 20 bucks which is kinda high . The casino floor was dead and it was so nice and cool out you could actually walk around the whole strip . The Sirens of TI was closed and the club at Tangerine was also closed that was a downer but other then that it was great . Kinda tired this time so I didn't do much gambling at TI they gave us free breakfast tho and also free passes to the club that was closed ??? Strange . But overall the service was great no complaints on that and very clean . The central air was great and all in all a very nice trip . Any questions you can email me . I'm almost done staying at all the resorts only a couple left .

My wife and I are somewhat seasoned LV visitors. We have visited 1-2 times a year for 7 or 8 years. We try to stay in a different hotel/casino. And so far have been at the Flamingo (2), Luxor (2), Mandalay Bay (1), Ceasars (1), Venetian (1), Stratosphere (1) and now TI. I would rank TI at the bottom with the Stratophere. The only thing it has is location and you only need location if you need to go elsewhere because where you are sucks, that describes the TI. Checkin took longer than it should have, and a room was not ready, it was only 30 minutes before official checkin time and the week before Christmas is NOT busy. It was 2 hours before we got a room assigned. The room was very plain. Actually not plain but desidedly not my taste in decore. As others have said and as I expected half the restaurants, bars and attractions were closed. But the closures at this place exceeded my expectations. The food at the restaurants we did eat in was not very good anyway. I am a craps player, not big but I'll get $30-$80 on the table in various bets. But I like a $5 minimum table, TI's was $10, even the Mirage and the Venetian were running $5 tables so I played there. The pool is very small, very very small and a lot of concrete. A summer afternoon there would be gastly. All in all for the money I was spending I expect better, much better and I got it in all the other places. Our next visits will be Mirage and Paris.

The machines are tight, We tipped the maid, which usually gets us extra goodies and better service, but nothing improved. I loved the price and location. The tram saves you alot of walking. We had the breakfast buffet and decided it could use some more options. Room service was fast and warm, even my eggs were warm, decent price too. Table limits were a little high but comparable to the other large properties on the strip.

This was my first visit to Las Vegas and I has the time of my life. Of course I came alone but, that's different story. Granted the room was a little small, it didn't bother me since I was alone nor was I there a lot. It is very beautiful inside out and the casino was very good to me. Won about $500 on the slots. I don't think this hotel, actually Las Vegas in general, is for kids. The staff was wonderful and very kind/helpul. Called everyone by either Ma'am/Sir Mr or Mrs So&So.

I took my very first real vacation, and came to Vegas. I decided to stay at the treasure Island. When I first booked the trip, I asked for a room over looking the Sirens Ship, But when we checked in, we asked if we could upgrade our room, and for another $30 a night we got a room on the 29th floor, with a view looking straight down the south end of the strip, just an amazing view. I will be coming back to Vegas in early 2006 and plan to spend another week at the Treasure Island hotel

My sister (her first time to Vegas) and I stayed here for three nights (8/22-8/25) and found the hotel to be very nice. I've stayed at Harrah's (which I considered a dump) and the Luxor (which is nice, but the location is not convenient.) Check-in at 9:30 p.m. was quick and easy. The room was very well appointed with a large marble bathroom and large tub (big enough for soaking). The toiletries smell awesome! We were given a tower deluxe room on a non-smoking floor. The view from the room was tremendous and the 30th floor and room were clean and quiet. The housekeeping and maintenance staff were very efficient! If you rate a hotel on the FREE show outside, you should not write a review of the actual hotel! Its Vegas, everything that's free is big and cheesy and that's why you visit! The location of TI is great. The pool area is big (the pool itself is not), but the sunny skies of Vegas are much better than the gray skies of Pittsburgh! We were stay here again without hesitation.

My husband and I try to make an annual visit to Vegas for our anniversary. We originally had reserved Harrahs, however some last minute shopping got me this hotel at almost the same price.

Check-in: We checked in at 11:30 pm, there was no line. The front desk clerk was friendly.

Room: Room was small but nice, we asked for a king, however were given a queen. Since my husband and I like queen beds, we were satisfied. The room was simply decorated, very refine. One wall had floor to ceiling mirror to give it the illusion it was bigger. The bathroom was marble and had a large countertop for my make-up menagerie. The tub shower combo was nice. The tub was large enought to soak in. Water pressure in the hotel was less then adequate.

Casino: Casino was very good to me. However, my major gripe is that there is a lack of table games. There was only one let it ride table (my game of choice). There were about 6 blackjack tables and 6 single deck black jack (pays 6:5 on blackjack). Maybe 30 tables + craps. Minimums here 10-15 dollars per hand.

Entertainment: Sirens: the revamped pirate show. If you like cheesey theatrics, this show is for you. Music, singing and the animated talking was not our thing. Show would just be better if it was a erotic dance routine(no talking)

Tangerine: Tangeine is the nightlife at TI!! This place is great and we are not club goers. There is an outside deck and an indoor lounge 4 times a night a girl performs a little burlesque strip. very entertaining. There is no nudity. Drinks cost about 10 dollars each (we drank G&T and Scotch) But will warn anyone new to vegas.. If you want to get seats at these bars it will require you to buy a bottle of licqour. They usually ar 10 times the cost. So be prepared to see a $20 bottle to go for over $200. We stood the entire night dancing and drinking away.!

So to summarize, TI is a nice casino with great service and nightlife. The rooms are not fantastic but they are nice and the Hotel has a great location on the strip!

Stayed at Treasure Island for my birthday. Room was great overlooking the Siren Lagoon. The entire staff treated us really nice. The guys at the bar were always freindly, with drinks readily available. The shower in the room was spacious with lots of power behind the spray. Bed was softer than I like, I prefer a real hard bed. Do not eat at the Terrace Cafe, food is bland and served luke warm. Eat at Kahunaville.

I am a travel agent and stay at a different hotel each time I visit Las Vegas, and this is one I will NEVER recomend to anyone! The customer service is the worst, Starting with the rude man that checked us in, and when we got to the room it was dirty, we were not offered a different one or an upgrade. Then the first two days we did not have them come in and clean the room, on the third day the only thing the maid did was make the beds and re-place our 4 dirty towels with 3 clean ones. None of the counters or tub was even touched I know this because the conditioner I spilled that morning in the shower was still there! Again our complaints to management were not even addressed, we even wrote a letter to the manager and inclosed our business cards and have yet to even get an I'm sorry from ANYONE there. You have several hotels to chose from, don't make the mistake and choose this one!

Loved our stay at TI. Had a great room overlooking the strip for an internet special rate of only $75 a

night during late June. Service has friendly. Security checked for romm keys at elevators each night.

Sirens show is cheesy, but free. Kahunaville is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat. Casino is only

ok. Mostly $10 and up limits at night. No poker room (but Mirage has one right next door). Speaking

of that, location is pretty goog within easy walking distance to Mirage, Ventian, Imperial Palace, and

more. Pool is only ok as it is a boring shape, no real attractions like waterfalls, and it gets crowded at

times.

I've stayed here several times, and have stayed at many other hotel casino's on the Strip (Mirage, Excalibur, Flamingo, Sands, Circus Circus). The only one of these I like better than TI is Mirage. TI is an excellent place to stay, and if you use their Player's Club, you can get great hotel rates (if not entirely free rooms). The restaurants are good, and they have one of the best shows in Vegas. The only negative I've indicated here is that TI isn't family friendly. I can't say it's family friendly, but then again, I don't think any hotel on the strip is family friendly. This is a casino, not Disney World. You come here to gamble, not ride the tea cups. What do you expect? I definately would stay again.

I found everyone to be friendly and very accomodating. Make sure you get a players card, if you don't already have one, comps are a wonderful thing!!! Only ate there once so can't say much about the buffet, but if it is free then who cares!!! Got an upgrade without the $20 trick and got top floor Suite for $75 a night and upon checkout (and only playing .25 and $1 slots) had entire stay comped. Love the MGM properties and Love Detriot MGM for opening. Can't wait to go back next year!!!!!!!!!

Treasure Island (TI)

Date Visited: 04/04 - Bad Visit

Treasure Island is now TI, and the treasure is gone from more than just the name. Our reservations were made in January for an early April stay. When we arrived we received a smoking room facing the empty lot across the street, although we had requested a non-smoking volcano view room. We were told to call the next morning to change rooms, I called at 9 when I was told to call, and we were able to make a switch to the room we requested about 5 hours after the morning call. The move was actually more of an inconvenience than anything else, but what was frustrating was that I was told to come down and get the new room key, but still had to wait at the desk for 15-20 minutes before the desk clerk figured out which key to give me, even though I told him the new room number I had been given. The hotel was nice- even though I'm not sure why the inside of the hotel had no pirate theme other than the names of some of the restaurants. The pirate show out front was amusing, but if you'd like to see the show from the VIP section because you're staying at the hotel make sure you're at the entrance at least 30 minutes before show time, or you’ll have to watch from across the street. The crowds before and after the show were huge. We decided to use our two for one buffet passes after one of the shows and had to wait in a really long line to get in. Once we did get in we were so disgusted with the buffet's appearance, we asked to speak with a manager. Our server didn’t seem surprised that we didn’t want to stay. The first sign of trouble was when I stepped on a piece of meat on the floor on the way in, next, there was food all over the buffet counters and the floor, there were half filled cups of some brown soup or stew that had been sitting for a while because it was all dried and thick looking on the top, there were half filled plates of food left on the buffet counter, the food on the buffet was mixed up together, the selection of food at dinner time was very limited, and, to top it all off, there was a fly crawling around on the soup cups. When we told the manager, she acted like we were making things up to get a refund, and used the excuse that it was a buffet, so what do you expect? I had to walk her over to meet the fly- which was still crawling around- before she refunded our money. We didn't eat a single bite and instead headed over to the Grand Lux at the Venetian. MUCH better! The TI casino looked nice, but the machines were pretty tight. I saw one person win in the span of five days and it wasn’t a big enough win for a hand pay. I on the other hand, I had to wait for 20 minutes for a hand pay of $5.00 on a nickel machine because the machine was out of tickets. Once I hit the collect button, I couldn't spin off the last five dollars because the machine locked up. Most of the employees seemed tired and irritated. The security people were rude and abrupt. Thank goodness for the one bartender who was friendly and poured generous drinks. If you'd like a lounge chair at the pool, make sure you get in line before 9 am when it opens. There was a crowd of people waiting every day and when the doors opened, a mad dash for the best seats took place. This was my fifth trip to Vegas in the last year and a half, and I will not be returning to TI. The rooms were nice, but there are nice rooms in other hotels where the food is also good and the people are friendly.

My wife and I and another couple had our first stay at TI and loved it. We used an e-mail promotion and got an upgrade to the Petite Suite and our friends stayed in the standard room. Our room was super nice; there’s was a little small just a standard hotel room but very nice and very adequate. The maid service was excellent and the nightly turn down service was great, they even filled up our ice bucket. If you are looking for a large pool this is not the place, very small and dull. I had heard the casino was not a great place to gamble but we all had great fun and good luck at video poker and the drink service was top notch. We also really liked the short walks to the room and with a smaller casino we didn’t lose each other. The location is also close to other fantastic Casinos that we love, just a great location for us. My wife also loved the fact that Starbucks and Krispy Cream were down stairs for that morning pick me up. We ate dinner twice and breakfast once at Kahunaville. The food was excellent every time, service once was poor, the other times service was very good, and we also enjoyed the bar at night very much. The meal and service at Terrace Café though was poor and we were amazed at the long lines for this Cafe in the morning when you could walk down to Kahunaville with no lines and eat for the same price with a much better meal, a little less selection though. We have stayed at Flamingo, and Tropicana before and we really loved TI. In a nut shell, great service, great cocktail service (even in the nickel slots), much shorter walks, and great location. We are all really looking forward to staying there again, soon I hope!

TI --- what's that? It certainly is not Treasure Island. The slots are tighter than most and seem to malfunction a lot with those stupid ticket dispensers. Almost no floor staff anymore to assist. I sat for nearly an hour and a half waiting for someone to come within sight of me to ask for assistance when I was cashing out $50 and the ticket machine jammed up and locked the machine. When they did show, they were abrupt and seemed almost upset that they had to help me.

We have been coming to Vegas 2-3 times a year and always enjoyed the "old" Treasure Island. There is almost no evidence of the former pirate theme and the Sirens show is a complete joke. The old show had a story and was put together well. The new show attempts to draw a crowd with overdressed "sexy" women with no story and an absolutely awful song and dance routine.

The location is only convenient if you are going between TI and the Mirage or Venetian. Other than that, you will be walking forever.

This was my first trip to LV and had an excellent time. TI is a very nice hotel and would recommend it to anyone. I think it is trying to change it's persona and to go after a younger crowd, not too many kids at all. Room was clean and very appeasing. The casino is fairly nice but there are better ones. The location is good. We ate at the Terrace Cafe a couple of times and the food was decent. Overall, TI is a good place to stay and would stay there again.

Treasure Island (TI)

Date Visited: 03/04 - Good Visit

This was my first trip to LV and had an excellent time. TI is a very nice hotel and would recommend it to anyone. I think it is trying to change it's persona and to go after a younger crowd, not too many kids at all. Room was clean and very appeasing. The casino is fairly nice but there are better ones. The location is good. We ate at the Terrace Cafe a couple of times and the food was decent. Overall, TI is a good place to stay and would stay there again.

We travel to Las Vegas 2-3 times per year and stayed at many casinos on the strip. This was a very disappointing experience for us. It was our first time at TI. We stayed on the 34 floor for 5 nights. The room is very spacious and clean but in need of repairs. The toilet didn't flush properly, the stopper in the sink was broke, and the door to our room did't close properly. The layout of the bathroom is not easy access. We were uninformed of the pool being closed and no one seemed to know of any alternatives. We had to make calls to find out that Mirage opened there pool to TI guests to a understaffed overcrowded area. We would not stay here again.

I DONT KNOW IF THIS WILL EDIT AND OR ADD TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW.. HERE IS THE ACTUAL TRIP REVIEW, PROBLEMS PRE TRIP ARE MENTIONED BELOW..

**Arival**

I got to the hotel a lil later than i wanted to not a big deal.

Check in seemd to be pretty quick and easy, And When i inquored

about the deal i got and it was supposed to be a suite was told

We dont have any right now, check with reservations between 11am-3pm

tomarrow and we may have some cancleations..

**inital room entry and set up**

Room was on a good floor 35th..

room was average room, Smelled a lil beefy.. Litterly!!

Everything seemd ok, Handle on the Tub had the handle broke

was sitting on the counter.. couldnt get it back on so i just

used it without the missing peice..

Tv, would BUZZZZZZ loudly when bright backgrounds were displayed

also rj45 Jack on the box which allows check out check bill etc

on the tv had a EMPTY connector without any actual wires going into it..

So couldnt do check out or check bill online etc..

***day after 1st night*** Its about 11:45 I call over to "Reservations" am told their are a few suites avaible, They transfer me to the club card desk to do the "upgrade" (which was WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET ANYHOW PER THE DEAL)

They then tell me oh no, reservations has nothing to do with our section we have a block of suites that we use and their insane to try and get..

I inquired how were there NONE avaible when i called and reserved the DAY the offer came in the mail.. Their responce was "Their impossible to get".. Till this day im sure if the inital reservation was done right i would have been in one.. long story short.. Was told indirectly no you cant have a suite.

***2nd day casino review*** Kind of forgot how small the casino was,

over all I played pretty much all over the casino, found some decent machines.

I ended up turning my freeplay into winnings that ended up breaking about even and i ended up turning it into cash which i then spent in the casino again.

I was pretty disapointed in the fact where they had the deli is now boarded over, I hope they dont plan on keeping it closed up..

Also noticed Madam chings was closed and boarded up..

not sure on the plan for these places..

Over all trip review in short form..

It seems the deal they sent me "Free in febuary" Was glitchy but good.

When ever i tried to set up something (EXCEPT dinner reservations) they always said that isnt right, i had to go to the room and get the card they sent me.

A great promotion, got me there to spend money and that i did.

a decent visit, missed the deli,

a Lady Young, or something like that was her name at the cafe check out VERY SNOTTY ATTITUDE!! I simply asked about getting something to take up the the room instead of eating there, her reply loud, snotty and with a very attitudeish voice "ROOM SERVICE YOU GET ROOM SERVICE"

very inconvient, Ended up my girlfriend and I ended up having to go down in person. Would have got room service, but when a Chicken cesar wrap has 5.00 In room service charges added and the cost is 3.00 more, so we just ate some there took the rest back to the room put it in the fridge for later.

Girl in the VIP check out Very nice and efficent..

Over all not a bad trip, Was annoyed that i couldnt get the suite that i was Expecting, (Love the spa tub)..

But A great offer, Will go again.

Next time hope TV works properly,

and Will get the fridge again was

worth getting!!.

Hope to see the deli next time as well

Trip is upcoming, But current situation BEFORE getting there described herein

Quite dissapointed with my current situation with the hotel.

Recived a great deal in the mail, Upon calling on this deal offered

I first had to fax the deal, a bit annoying but they were fast on calling

back. I shouldnt have assumed everything was ok when they called back and said

"Ok, your reservations are made and set up".

I Recived the deal on 1/20/04 THE SAME DAY I revcied it I Called and FAXED it in and set up the reservation.

Upon using the TI'S website feature "Verify reservation" I notice "Deluxe room accomidation". Untill this point When "George" Called back and said yea everything is set up, I assumed this would include the SUITE as the offer stated, he never mentioned that a SUITE was NOT avaible.. he just said ok your reservation is set up.

Even though I may not be the highest roller I at least expect when a deal is sent to me and I am told by the hotel/casino employee that everything is set up, that means the details of the deal are included, Should there have been a problem, I wouldnt mind if it was brought to my attention at the TIME of the reservation being made on 1/20/04 and be put on a list if a opening came up on the promiced suite.

As of now, tonight I was basicly told "Yea were busy right now so there wont be any suites open". We Will see if their are any on check in..

I am coming in on a Off time. 2/15/04 ALMOST 1 MONTH AFTER MY INITAL reservation.. I find it VERY hard to belive that ALL the SUITES are booked

that far ahead!!.. I belive its more of a case of george dropped the ball and didnt mark in the computer a suite.. But we will see if they can make good on their offer when i check in..

I hold a hope that it will be made right, I'll be on my way and checking in on Sunday, I will update everyone on here..

Treasure Island (TI)

Date Visited: 02/04 - Bad Visit

It's never good when you are on vacation and a hotel makes you want to go home. That's how my husband and I felt about TI. We had been spoiled 5 previous nights at Mandalay Bay's TheHotel but due to a huge confrence we had to stay somewhere else our last two nights in Vegas. We thought we would class it up and stay in a suite. We searched and thought the Tower Suite at TI looked "sweet" get it...anyway...we go to check in and the valet was rude. The bell man was rude, he was pining for a tip so bad it made me sick. He kept saying "I'm not going to be brining your luggage to you, it will be someone else" so on and so on. What was so pathetic was that I lifted all of our luggage out of our convertible and put it on the cart while my husband was been harassed by the valet. The front desk man was nice and quick although our suite wasn't ready yet. No big deal. When we booked our room on the net they advertised it as having "sweeping views of the strip and the pirate battle" we get into our room and we have a lovely view of the top of the casino. We were only 12 floors up. Even if we would have been 100 floors up we wouldn't have had "a view". The room was very large but that was all it was. A large room with dated furniture and ugly decor. To the rooms credit the two bathrooms were beautiful with a jacuzzi tub, sit in shower and two walk in closets. I can honestly say that was the only nice thing, next to housekeeping about this property. We even got the creepy turndown service which I'm still not sure about!

We went to play some blackjack (although we usually only play at MB) and that was the worst mistake of the trip. I have two words that makes playing BJ there horrible AUTOMATIC SHUFFLERS. We never won and thank goodness we didn't try too, there was no way it was happening. The dealers were nice and did the courtesy "oh, I'm sorry I hit to 21 after taking 6 cards" but it didn't help the fact you felt like you were getting screwed.

We used the valet about 6 times and they were either rude or uncourteous. We even had our car brought out to us with a nearly flat tire and the valet said "give me your ticket" and ran off. Nice huh?

Don't let me forget room service and dry cleaning, oh the joys of TI. We attempted to order room service one night and were shot down. You would think that they would be hapy to take the money you are willing to pay for room service but not TI! After looking at the binder titled "Room Service" we found there was no menu. After calling room service to see if we could have one brought to use they told us to look closer because we probably over looked were they had hidden it. After commenting that we looked in the folder marked room service, they told us to look again. We decided to not get verbally lashed by calling back and went to their Terrace cafe. Overall, the food and service at TI is average and we could not bill things to our room unless "prior arrangements" had been made and they would still have to call and get verification each time.

During the course of the meal, my husband somehow got their $15 spaghetti sauce on his white sweater. No problem TI has dry cleaning. Well, not at certain times. We called at 2:30 am and told them we had an item that needed to be laundered. They seemed confused why we were calling and said "don't you want to do that later". Yeah, that's why we called now. They said it would be awhile before someone was able to pick up the shirt. Fine, we have nothing else to do. 5 minutes later (fastest long time I've ever waited) a grumpy bellman comes to the door, takes the shirt, takes his tip, mumbled thank you and walked off. No reciept, no comment on when it would be back. We were very suprised to see the sweater the following night. We thought we had lost it to the good people at TI.

Our visit to TI was about the same as it was to Mirage. I felt like the rooms did not warrant the exuberant amount of money they charged. At least they could be nice to you when they were taking your money, normally I don't mind spending money in Vegas but I was biter leaving this hotel.

I'm glad to read that other people had an enjoyable time because this was our 10th time in Vegas and I would rate TI and Mirage at an even tie for horrible.

Treasure Island. A very nice hotel. My wife and I had a very nice time. It is centrally located for walking distance to the Stratosphere or even Bellagio. I miss the old boat show they used to do, but the new show has some beautiful women. We saw the Mystere show which was very good. Not as good as "o", but still good. I would stay there again just due to its location alone.

After checking out locations and prices I settled on TI. I stayed in their Excutive Suite at a great rate of only 140.00 a night booked right through the Hotel. The suite was huge with 2 large bathrooms, 2 tv's, refrigerator and a terrific view. The decor of the suite was ultra modern with a nice decor of beige, yellows and nice greenery. Housekeeping kept the room spotless everyday. The casino was nice and large with low table rates and the staff in the whole hotel was super freindly. But like most things, nothings perfect. The tv in the room was the cheap magnavox sets you see in most low run hotels. The set was very fuzzy and the hotel didn't even offer free premium channels. The buffet was very dissapointing with almost everything dry and tasteless. The room service was very good though. I had breakfast and a late night snack and both were excellent and came quickly. The Pirate show was just okay. I heard though that the old one was better. Even though traffic is crowed, I recommend a rental car. All the major strip hotels including TI park your car free no matter how many times your're in and out. I recommended this hotel to some freinds and they loved it just as much as I did.

Very favorabily impressed with TI. Room rate on the week before the Super Bowl was great. Definitely join the MGM/Mirage Club for perks. The room was large. Plenty of vanity space in the bathroom. Quick evevators. Overlooked the Pirate Ship battle. The old version was superior. Who cares for the Sirens? Did the British complain about how they were treated on the older version? Would like to see $5.00 Table games in the daylight hours. Paris, a comparable facility has $5.00 roulette. Would stay there again.

Got a great weekday rate for 3 nights ($65) including a tower upgrade and 2 dinner buffets. Was very impressed with the place. Room was very nice and a good size, and the bathroom was just as nice. Had a great view right down the strip. My only complaints (very minor) are the low shower water pressure, and the dirty window. I also liked getting VIP status to see the Sirens of TI show (see my review of it) with my room key. I won about $100 playing $10 blackjack, but I was stupid and kept playing and lost it all. I'd definitely stay here again, but I'm a low roller and probably won't find a rate this low here again!

Treasure Island (TI)

Date Visited: 01/04 - Bad Visit

We just returned from a 6-day stay at the new TI, which was our 2nd stay at Treasure Island after a very good experience several years ago. Check-in was flawless and friendly. Our room was fine, but nothing special by Strip standards, and reasonably clean. Early risers (by Vegas standards), we called Housekeeping each morning and requested service by 1 p.m., which they handled beautifully.

We chose TI primarily because we got a good value for News Year's week, and we'd had a pleasant experience there earlier. In fact, even when staying at other strip properties, we generally made numerous treks to TI because it was our favorite (and luckiest) casino.

So why the poor ratings?

The Casino now offers the poorest table games on the Strip (with the other MGM properties close behind). All BJ tables under $100 use the continuous shuffle machines. And Dealers must hit on soft 17 (which seems to be the new routine in Vegas). Folks, if you like to play BJ, that's a terrible game. Personally, I will not return to TI or any of the MGM properties until they make changes. I guess I wasn't the only objector, as the tables were routinely dead while we were there.

They've upgraded one of the casino bars (very nice!). They also eliminated a 2nd one, replacing it with slots.

All I can say about the new show is it is different. Better? Worse? I don't know. I kind of liked the old one, but maybe that's just nostalgia talking.

The restaurants are ordinary and service is spotty. We had a terrific experience at the Cafe one day, and a less than desirable one another day, where we stood in line without moving for 15-20 minutes while there were numerous available tables. Finally, we gave up and made the short walk to the Venetian's Grand Lux Cafe, where we were immediately seated, the service great, and the food was infinitely better. Dinner at Francesco's (a former favorite) and breakfast and lunch at Kahunaville were fine, but nothing special.

TI is trying to join the Palms and Hard Rock as the hip new places for 20-somethings. It's fine and a reasonable value if gambling is not high on your list of priorities while you're in Vegas.

Celebrated our 10th Anniversary with a three night stay. We asked for and received a room with a view (25th floor overlooking the pirate battle and the northern strip). Learning of our anniversary - the hotel also provided a complementary bottle of champagne. We checked in a little early (2 PM) and found our room was not ready. To make up for the minor inconvenience - the hotel comped us two buffet meals.

The rooms were nice. The bed was very comfortable - the colors inside the room were muted - not overpowering. The bathroom was good sized.

The meals at the hotel were good to great. The buffet was very good, as was the Terrace Cafe. Kahunaville was great in terms of atmosphere and food. It was also nice having a Starbuck's onsite to get you jumpstarted in the morning.

The staff was helpful at every turn. The casino was not as big as, say, Bellagio's or Mandalay Bay's, but was nonetheless fine. We were very impressed overall and will be staying here again next time we visit Las Vegas!

I expected much more considering the perception I had of this property. The room was like any room I have ever stayed in at a RedRoof Inn or Super 8. Two double beds and the bathroom was so disappointing and so small I could hardly believe it. I was expecting much much more. I have stayed at the Aladdin, Mandalay Bay, Venetian, and Luxor before and they are all superior properties to this one. As for the the new Sirens Show, it is downright awful. It has no story line and the choreography is terrible. The old show was so much better. The girls they added to the Sirens were suppose to make it a sexier show and they have more clothes on than an old lady walking down the strip on a cold night. I will never go back to see the show again as I did with the old show. My advice is to stay somewhere else because the hotel rooms do not measure up to the others. I will say that the Casino is nice and worth visiting.
