Casino vistit only in June 2006. Casino was small, lifeless, and quiet as a tomb. At one point someone must have one something because she yelled really load. I almost expected a librarian to shush her. However, the place was very nice with a lot of nice little touches here and there (i.e. real cloth hand towels in the bathrooms). I don't think they are really trying to draw in the crowds to gamble here. It seems more like the casino is just another amenity for their business travellers. Still - I'd go back if I were down that way.

I stayed at the Westin for two nights. Granted, it is not a themed casino and there are not that many attractions. Sometimes you do want to stay away from all the noise and smoke and to be honest with you then the Westin is the perfect place to relax. You are in walking distance from the center of the strip. The people in there are very polite and check you in immidiately and the rooms are spotless. The beds are comfy and soft, the bathrooms have a lot of little goodies and they give you fruit and water bottles as a thank you and yes, they are free. Most importantly, since you are not on the strip, you can actually see the strip from your windon, just ask for a higher floor. Normally when you are on the strip, you do not get a whole panoramic view, you see the building in front of you and to your sides. Overall, I think it is a nice place to sleep and get rest and do not want noise. Don't get me wrong, but I like to be out till 5 am and sleep till noon, but if you are on the strip, forget that.

This has got to be the most sterile, lifeless, cold-blooded, anti-human casino on the face of the earth. I think that those condemned to The Gulag felt more comfortable than visitors to this overly-lit, over-guarded and over-priced dump.

I just got back from Vegas and wanted to put in my 2 cents about the Westin Las Vegas. The check-in staff was excellent and allowed me to check into my room at 7:30 am since I just arrived from the airport and the room was ready. The casino is small and the hotel is located off the strip but I thought it was close enough to the monorail to make it strip friendly. The room was clean, the heavenly bed and shower were "heavenly" and I will definitely be back for the rooms. Now for the casino, I felt tricked to join the players club (pay $25.00 get $40.00 credit). you couldn't cash it out, only the winnings and the rep didn't explain herself properly. I had trouble using one cash voucher in a machine and when I took it to the cashier she accused me of already "cashing it out" and the manager was called to settle it properly. That negative casino experience would keep me away permanently if the rooms weren't so nice and comfortable. A much better and nicer room than the more popular strip hotels-by far!

Westins are known for their great service and their unbelievable beds and bathrooms. This hotel is no exception. That bed is awesome! I also liked being a short 5 minute walk to the strip (and close to other off-strip properties) without all the craziness. Room was quiet and well appointed. Casino was verrrry quiet. Dealers were friendly. I used Starwood points to stay for free so I'd say the value couldn't have been better. Don't think that they do much in the way of comps. If you like great service at a quiet spot, this is a good choice.

This hotel just is not worth the money. The pool area is tiny; there are too few lounge chairs. The rooms are dingy and small; it is just not a great place to stay.
Stay on the strip; more value and better service.

Not bad but off the strip a little. I didnt hate this hotel, but why stay here when there are many better choices. Casino is very small, but the people seemed friendly.
