- Good Visit It is obvious that the marketing of this hotel/casino is geared towards the generation in which my son's are part of - hence my own lack of offers. But it doesn't stop me from visiting whenever I'm able to do so. This past visit allowed me to enjoy a 2-room suite in the Fantasy Towers - a corner suite to die for with a jacuzzi tub surrounded by windows, curved furniture, plasma TV's and the best bed I've ever enjoyed in Las Vegas. The small casino is again centered on the young generation that enjoys the bar scene, being seen in line to the nightclubs, and the poker room. But they have video keno and I've been happy with the winnings that I've gotten from them. The new buffet offered a very nice breakfast. The mexican restaurant was delicious. Other amenities such as a movie theatre, concert hall, food court and kids play area help to round out the casino. For a small facility, they pack alot in.

Casino is tight in every way. Too many machines crammed into the casino. Slots were not even playful, just each cash. Staff is snobby and could care less that you are there. Drink servers are slow, or maybe that was because there seemed to be only one for the entire casino. Pit-boss was extremely rude to me. I checked my camera to see how much battery power I had left and the pit-boss jerk accused me of taking photos. I didn't, but what would it matter if I did. Is it a secret that casinos have gambling?? I think we all know by now. The casino also has a tattoo parlor which is on a reality TV show. It's very busy and attracts a lot of low-life's. Stay away from this DUMP!

- Good Visit Been to Vegas over 40 times and have stayed just about everywhere, and this was the best hotel hands down.1.Check in was friendly and fast.2 Room was very nice with the most comfortable I have ever slept on.3. The casino is great if you are a video poker, some of the best odds in Vegas. The strip can't touch the Palms for % payback.4. Never did I have to wait for a drink during my gaming sessions.5.The pool very nice as well even though part of it was under construction. The workers were very disreet and area was sectioned off so it was like they were not even there.6.It's The little things that make this hotel one of my best stay in Vegas such as the in room safe, Davies Gates bath products, the newpaper on you door every morning, the coffee maker, Free HBO "didn't miss Sopranos",large bathroom I can go on and on.
Now me and my wife are in our 40's and this is more of a hip joint, however there were plenty of people our age group there.I think the weekend brings more of the young hip and freaky. We were there Sunday thru Thursday. Not many "Hey dudes whats up" there during our stay.Thank you Palms for a great vacation!!!!

When my husband arrived for a conference after a long travel day he was greeted with a room with broken lightbulbs, wiring that looked hazardous, crowded room, shabby furniture and staff that were to say the least, unhelpful. He got himself moved to another room which they said was a "free $30 upgrade" on a room which at least had good lightbulbs. The room was still very crowded, the television didn't work and when someone came to fix the television they put a piece of cardboard in a switch and that is what they called "fixed". It is way off the strip and you need a taxi to get anywhere. He would never stay at this place again and would suggest if you want to have a good time, STAY AWAY FROM THE PALMS!

- Good Visit I'm going to start by saying we've never stayed at the Palms. We do however, on every trip stop by for an hour or two to gamble and get some adult beverages. After being there 4-5 times I can say that I've only left once a winner ($200 at the Island bar), but we've always had a great time. The bartenders at the Island bar are great for some free drinks while playing VP while the Dealers at the tables tend to be a little stuffy. Overall the Palms has always been a fun experience and when it gets too expensive, the Gold Coast is right beside it.

- Bad Visit This place thinks it is to cool to have to offer good service. Employee attitudes at this place are the worst I've ever seen in vegas. I will never stay here again.

- Bad Visit What a joke. The Wife and I played the $1 slots for $50 each and were done in 5 minutes. We ate at the prime rib and crab legs buffet which was average. This place is all hype. Save the trip and stay on the strip.

This place somehow manages to appeal to the hip young crowd with the clubs but with their high paying video poker attracts a lot of tourists too. The table game limits etc aren't that good but the VP is the big gambling draw and they reward even the 25 cent video poker pretty well, I accrued enough to get comped a room there and into the clubs & all the restaurants. The hip quotient is actually a bit annoying. Great restaurants including Garduno's, Little Buddha, Alize, I've eaten at them all except N9NE. The coffee shop is the only lousy restaurant. Went to the Ghost Bar, $20 cover for those paying (although it and the room were comped) but overall it was a bit lame except for the view. This place has a lot to offer though in the way of entertainment and I'd recommend the short cab ride or walk over from the strip even to people not staying there. The Ghost Bar & Alize on the 54th and 55th floors are big draws for the view alone. Some of the finest & most efficient cocktail waitresses in town. Even the Palapa lounge, a free hangout where you can listen to music, is kind of cool. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and courteous. I really can't think of anything bad to say about this place, other than that the poker room is kind of a joke & the service and value at the coffee shop left a lot to be desired, glad it was comped or I would've been pi$$ed.

- Good Visit Did not stay at The Palms, but played here. If you love video poker, this is the casino for you. Best selection of full pay video poker I've ever encountered. Hit 4 Aces on bonus poker, and my daughter won $300 bucks playin "let it ride." Not bad for an hour's work! The players club is great, had a coupon from the Las Vegas Advisor for 3x points play, and a coupon for a 50% off straight comp (up to $50) that I used in the gift shop. Staff friendly and cocktail waitresses were everywhere. Even encountered a famous TV personality shooting craps. Fun Place. Don't bring the kids though, strong Playboy affiliation everywhere.

What a sleazy, plastic and garish casino! This is a playground for rich kids looking for sex, dope and/or alcohol -- a High-End Skid Row. There have been a number of drive-by shootings in their parking lot. I inserted a one hundred dollar bill into a $1 slot; 100 pulls later I had Zero Dollars. 100 pulls and NOTHING! What a swindle. Expect to pay 4.99 for a .99 cent hamburger. Eat it on cheap table splattered with the previous diner's droppings! I was served a watered-down drink in a cup-holder encased in what looked like lunger. Britney and Madonna frequent the place.

- Bad Visit Hotel did not have a room ready for me when I checked in. After leaving for a while and coming back, they checked me into a smoking room despite my explicit request for a non-smoking room. When I went back down, they didn't have a non-smoking room ready so I had to leave my bags behind the desk again. When they finally got me a room, the pool had closed for the day so I couldn't take advantage of it. The room was surprisingly drab for a hotel with such a high-profile reputation. Service was rude. Garduno's Sunday brunch was fine but the Fantasy Market buffet has really gone downhill since my previous trip. Gaming was also disappointing. Coming from the Golden Nugget to this place was such a buzzkill.

Visit the Palms on a saturday night to gamble and hit up club rain. Rain was a very good time and the casino was a lot of fun with a great atmosphere. I would definitely come back and stay at the palms even though its away from the strip. The taxi ride to the strip was 6 bucks.... not bad!

- Good Visit I have never stayed at the Palms, but my husband and I make a point of visiting there at least once every time we go to Vegas. We enjoy the casino, even though the demographic skews a little younger than we are. It is fun and comfortable with a good selection of slots. We usually do OK, too. The reason we have never stayed there is because they do not comp very well. Occaisionally we get a buffet or some food court food out of them, but they never send out room offers or cash back. (However, I hear they are more generous to locals.) I can't see spending so much on a room at the Palms, when we get comped rooms elsewhere. However, if they made a room offer, we would definitely take it.

- Good Visit Gambled here the entire afternoon of 7/7/05. If on the strip this place is a bit of a pain to get to. I really don't know if I'd pay for a taxi ride or not. Its simple enough to catch the shuttle from the Barbery Coast to the Gold Coast and walk across the street. The casino is a bit dark and crowded. STRANGE mix of youg southern California hotties/tatooed dudes and bluehaired grannies. Tables were OK. Video poker selection was pretty good for the area, though I did better at Gold Coast. My wife came out ahead on the slots and I was down a bit on them. She enjoyed the selection, which included her beloved Tabasco machines. The rest of our crowd got sucked into .01 100 play machines near the western casino door. They did well on them.
If i was 20 years younger (I'm 44) I'd liked to hang here on the weekends, when I hear it rocks. Today I feel more comfortable with the crowd at the Gold Coast.
I did rack up a couple of thousand points on my Club Palms slot card. Depending on whether I get any offers from the Palms will determine whether I make a special effort to go there while on the strip.

Although we didn't stay there, we made a point of going to the Palms because we heard about the young , hip crowd and it's the place to spot celebs. We were very disappointed....it was just OK. Nothing stood out as cool or out of this world, like so many other casinos in Vegas. We were there during mid-afternoon, so I'd guess it 'd be more electric at night when the clubs are hopping. Unless you are planning on clubbing, avoid this place cuz there's a nothing to see!!!!

3rd Las Vegas visit this year. It's a good job it's a 10 hour flight from the UK or I'd be here every weekend!
The Palms is a fairly cool place. Nicely decorated and the beds ARE the most comfortable in the city.

We really WANT to stay at the Palms our next trip to Las Vegas. We walked there twice July 04. One day we had the lunch buffet, which was very good and reasonably priced around $7.00. Liked the layout of the casino, the wood floors, the live Celebrity Poker tournament (which we were invited to watch but declined - next time we'll do it) and the gift shops. We usually play where we stay, so we only played a very small amount at the Palms. There were new versions of old games. Example: we like "leopard spots" video game and they had a different version of it.

- Good Visit First the Palms is for the party crowd, so it was perfect for me and my friends. Those who want to see a show and gamble should stay on the strip. Those who want to strip should stay at the palms. I was there for 3 nights, a long weekend, and I saw 4 kids and 2 older couples. at 1:30PM on friday a guy and girl got thrown out of the pool for having sex, do not take kids here. its like sodom and gamorra meets a 24 hour hollywood environment. Rain is the best dance club on the west coast and ghostbar is a must for cocktails. had very attentive staff made us feel great and took us everywhere. craps guys rock they took time to teach us the ropes and by sat we were pros, got tons of snaps at tables to remember the weekend...stay here for wild fun. a ways off strip but limos and cars services are everywhere. more fun than bellagio but less extravagent detail.

Fun place to visit!! The dealers were lots of fun while you watched you're money come and go.
The crowd was something else!! lots of gals in there 20s wearing only a couple of pieces of clothing and great looking. Lots of camel toes showing!!! <G>
The video poker is the best on the strip with the best odds... won $800 on video poker jacks or better.
Slots were very good too!! A lot looser than most.
With all the beauties in the casino, the swimming pool during the day will be a must see on my next trip!!!

- Good Visit The room was fairly nice, but it was not big at all. I stayed here for a $69/night special (weeknights), but I wouldn't pay more for it. The beds were certainly comfortable, but not big enough to sleep two all that comfortably if you're not significant others or spouses! I think they're double beds, not queens. The electric safe is convenient. The minibar is typically outrageous. The casino is unique with ceilings that make the fans and ducts look kind of cool. I'm told it's a good place to play video poker, and the table games are fine. Ghost Bar is pretty cool, although the Voodoo Lounge at Rio has a better view (they're both at the top of the casinos), more space, and less pretention. The buffet was ordinary but a great value at $7 for lunch. All in all, it's a very good casino, but don't overpay for it. There are better ones for your money.

- Good Visit Absolute blast at the Palms. Check in was super friendly. The room (King Suite) was very nice. The Ghost Bar - just totally cool - with the best view of the strip in Vegas; and the Alize Restaurant on top - simply out of this world!!! More than five star. One of the best times I ever had in my life.

Stayed at The palms, Jan 25-28.Booked at tripres. , for 88$a night, others I talked to payed 115 for the same period.room was ok, Aladdin and Golden Nugget seemed larger, but it was fine. Beds are as good as advertised, very nice. Chairs were kind of cheap, bathrooms fine.Only played machines waiting for a poker room seat, Drink service was spotty at Dollar, quarter and nickel areas.Poker room is good, generally nice staff and well run. They will comp you for food, buffet and coffee shop for about 5 hours it seems. Casino rate for rooms is probably not gonna happen for any amount of poker hours. Didin't check my card, but the slot club is average i hear. Buffet was good for the price, food had a decent selection, and tasted good. 1 out of 4 meals in the coffe shop was bad, others were good. Staff was 98% friendly and easy to work with, never saw a line atthe check in desk on my stay.Good shuttle to Fashion show mall, Ceasers, and sometimes the Aladdin., every hour from the back door.If I got a good discount in the mail, I would consider the Palms this summer, if not, and I am travelling with someone, would probably stay elsewhere. Not bad, but better experiences to be had on Fremont st or the strip.

My ford had a squeky wheel, I had to put a quart of oil in it to keep the warning light off, and the fm radio had static on all stations.
