Visited the new Cannery Casino on Boulder Boulevard. Slots were ok but we did not stay here so I cannot rate that. Tried your Dunkin Donut iced coffee and it was so watered down that I threw it away. I have Dunkin Donut's coffee every day at home and it is without a doubt the best coffee but you will be giving it a bad name serving what you do. I know you are new but there is a formula for making this coffee and if you think you are going to save money by skimping on this coffee then no one will buy it and you will close. Get with the program.
Next time I am in Vegas I will try it again but instead of throwing it away I wiil return it to the counter.

Visited the Cannery for a rock concert,It appears very well run but has one big
downer! Try getting a taxi!We were staying on the strip which is some 20 minutes taxi ride away but come the end of the night there was no sign of any taxis and when we asked about this we were met with blank looks, maybe 20 mins. maybe an hour.We eventually shared a limo with 2 other couples!

I have visited this casino on many trips. My cousins used to live in North Vegas. Let me say this.....I have NEVER come out of this casino ahead. Their slots are tighter than a crabs ass. The casino is very clean and decorated nicely....but you can't win there. Oh well!!

- Good Visit We visited the casino only in June, 2006. I liked it. It was laid out well, clean, and had a good selection of slots. I even won a little bit. I was not drinking at the time, but saw plenty of cocktail waitresses. The only thing that might keep me from visiting again is the location. It's kind of far out, way up on Craig Road.

We made the mistake of going to "Pure Aloha" which was advertised as a Hawaiian
fair with music by one of my favorite groups Kapena. The tickets were $20 each so it wasn't cheap. When booked we were told that the entertainment would take place in the Amphitheater which was indoors. Well, the event should have been booked as "Pure Jamaican" as it was all Reggae and the amphitheatre was just a large truck bay with the doors open to the outside. The cold and unstable bleachers were outside in the cold wind and the chairs they did have in the "amphitheater" weren't enough for all the ticket holders and were just being put up at 6p.m. Major disorganization even on Island time. When did the Hawaiian culture become Jamaican??? And the food. When did chili fries, onion rings and chicken wings become Hawaiian food? What happened to Kalua pork, chicken long rice and poke? If Hawaiians are afraid of losing their culture I would say they already have if this is what they bill as Hawaiian.
King Kalakaua would turn over in his grave. We were expecting real island culture with Hawaiian meles and dancers, ono food and it was just a rip off.
The food at the Victory restaurant were the worst cheeseburgers we have ever tasted and after the waiter threw down the food we never saw him again. After
enduring reggae for 4 hrs Kapena came on so late that we were already chilled to the bone. When the first song they played was Jawaiian we said "A L O H A".

- Good Visit A cashiers cage in a casino is there to provide patrons with service. At the Cannery the employees of the "cage" must feel they are there to give some really cheeky atitude. One of the worst encounters in all of Las Vegas with a cage personel was there at the Cannery. Their employees act as though they are doing you a favor instead of performing their paid job duties. I wonder why the big giant money sucking casino owner isn't aware of this. Oh thats right the general public is going to give the Cannery their money anyways. As for casino action the Cannery is there by the highway and thats how their machines play. They can make a quick get away. My advice don't play there, It took me over two years to win sonmething. In addition the worst monopolizing pigs in all Las Vegas are the Station Casinos, don't fall for it.

- Good Visit I enjoyed my venture away from the strip for one night. The Cannery is very clean inside. I hit a few little "jackpots" on the slots, enjoyed my breakfast at the Victorys Cafe, and got a t-shirt when I signed up for their players club...what more could I ask for!

- Bad Visit Considering that the proprietors of The Cannery are one of the top 10 moneymakers in Las Vegas, their jackpots are downright paltry. Their newsletter even has the gall to "highlight" $100 payouts as "jackpots." The noise level inside the casino is ear-deafening; ear-plugs are recommended if you don't want to suffer hearing loss. Their live poker tables sit right next to a bar which features fourth-rate crooners with 90,000 amp speakers! Some of the poker dealers must be on pep pills because they deal so fast and cold-bloodedly that they suck the humanity out of the game. This is done to earn more tips and to hell with finesse and announcing each bet. They'll grab your cards and kill your hand before you know what hit you. In the unlikely event that you need to cash-in your winnings, figure on standing in a long line for a long time as their boondock mentality only allows for one or two cashiers at any given time -- no doubt to cut down on overhead. On the other hand, if you're into "raffles" and "door prizes," this is the place for you because they're eternally blaring out the names of "winners" who never show up. If you plan on using any of their food coupons, you'd be wise to call ahead to see if they honor them on Mother's Day, Father's Day or Groundhog Day! The only nice thing about the place is that access and parking are pretty good, mainly because it sits in the middle of an industrial zone. Their slots are tighter than a screw on toilet bowl. Don't expect to see very many cocktail waitresses, either. While the decor is surprisingly pleasant, the crudity of the staff is alarming. For example, the "free" concerts require a two-drink minimum: When you order the first one, they bring two of 'em to make sure you comply! The Mexican restaurant is so slow that they actually provide an alarm clock to those waiting in line! Check your bill, too. I was charged $2.50 for three tortillas that supposedly came with their carne asada platter! My wife ordered four tacos without cheese; the came with cheese -- four hours later, so to speak. The casino is nice; some of the people who work there are idiots.
