- Good Visit We didn't stay at the hotel but we visited the casino. I was amazed!!! This hotel was out of this world. From the time you walk in, you can tell that it's quality!! You can smell the scented air. There are beautiful flowers all around!!
Suggestion: On your next trip to Vegas, take a tour of the hotel. That's what we did. All you have to do is stop by the concierge desk at 2:00pm and the manager will come out and give a tour of the hotel. I believe the tour is only M-F.
We got to see all of the rooms, including the suites!!! I highly suggest staying on the Tower side. You get your own private entrance, check-in, and pool on the Tower side. The suites were very beauitful!!! The only downfall to the suites was there was only one bed.
Shopping: I got to shop at the Wynn. If you plan on shopping here, bring at least $2000!!! There's nothing but high-end stores in this hotel. I went to the Chanel store and easily spent $2000!! The service at the Chanel store was great. Just ask for "Liz", the make-up person. Her customer service was excellent!!! But there's a nice mall right next to the Wynn with more reasonably priced stores.
The casino was great!! The seats were very comfortable at the slots and tables. The dealers were very nice. Good experience overall in the casino.
The next time I visit Vegas, I am staying at the Wynn. It's not crowded with people like Caesars!! It's just right!!! And if you can afford it, try booking the 1-2 bedroom Villas at the Wynn. They are little condos on the golf course. I haven't seen them but I heard they are very very nice, over 2,000 square feet!! You'll probably spend about $1500-$2000/night.

- Undecided We vistited the hotel last year with some friends of ours who got a free trip. Usually we stay at the Luxor or MGM; we had walked through before and were very excited. I can't really say it was a bad visit- but for the money I can't see us staying here again (unless it's free of course- lol). First off, the rooms are very nice- but why wouldn't they be, it's a new hotel. The maid service was average. Still had to call for towels and soap, etc.
My problem is that everything, and i mean everything is overpriced. If I was paying $250 a night for a room I would expect the golf course to be something less than $500. Vegas tries so hard to be classy- you can play Pebble Beach for less than that. Good grief. Not once did the table mins for craps go less than $15- and this was during the week! What really took the cake was that Wynn is now charging admission to the Ferrari dealership- even if your a guest. What a crock'o'crap. All the other revenue streams are not enough it seems- and he needs to shaft his guests and charge $10 to see a handful of ferraris. Go to the IP- get the free pass at the Players desk and see three rooms full of classy cars.
There were some bright spots which will warrant us visiting the resort on subsequent stays in this awesome town. The buffet was top notch and is one the best I've had thus far (also check out Mandalay Bay...yum!). The waterfall is awesome and nothing beats having lunch right next to it- for that matter the landscaping around the entire resort, both in and out, is spectacular. Finally, it has one of the nicest pools i have ever seen. Perhaps in time the aforemention costs will catch up with it and the amenitites will better reflect the cost of a stay.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and were very happy with the stay. We stayed during the week and it was crowded, but not ridiculous. All rooms are a reasonable walk from the elevator (nothing like the trek at MGM or Flamingo). The rooms are fantastic; you walk in and the first thing you see is the full wall window. The remote operated blinds are neat. The bed was the best I've ever slept in...you feel like you melt into it, and the linens are super luxo (I'm a guy and the last thing I ever thought I'd comment on is the bed and linens). Smallish plasma TV was nice (hinged on the wall). The bathroom was super; nifty under cabinet lighting so you can find your way at night, glass shower, jacuzzi tub. My only complaint was the stocked fridge with the sensors that charge you for anything that's removed over 30 seconds. When staying in Vegas, I always stop by the convenience store on the way to the hotel and pick up some assorted cocktails, soft drinks and snacks rather than pay $5 for a thing of peanuts or $4 for a coke. But there wasn't one inch of room in the fridge to store anything. That aside, no complaints about the hotel room.
Casino was very swanky. Everything is bright and red. Since the place was just a year old, the slots and tables all seemed like new. Dealers were OK, but a $2 tip on your $15 blackjack bet barely nets a thank you. Speaking of blackjack, most limits were $15 during the day, with usually 1 "satan" shuffler machine at $10. Evening limits were $25 and up.
We ate at the buffet for breakfast and everything was great. Had dinner at the little poolside cafe and it was fine, just overpriced. Went to the pool on the last day and it was super. No deep water (4 foot max I think) but it was very refreshing and about half the complex gets afternoon shade.
Overall nice stay, but pricey.

- Good Visit Stayed the week after Thanksgiving in a Parlor Suite. Nice large living room, bedroom, and bath. The wet bar area has a mini bar and a separte refridgerator for your own stuff. Unlike a previous poster, the minute I started playing video poker at the bar my drinks were comped. There was no minimum. Everything about the stay was great, as would be expected in a first class hotel. One complaint, but nothing the hotel can control: I play blackjack, and found the players at the tables were not near as much fun as at some of the other casinos. The dealers were great though. I will definitely be back.

Let me just say if you have a lot of money, the Wynn is for you. If you are some shlub that stays at a place like the Flamingo, don't bother. The frist and only experience led us to a video poker bar where you had to play $100 for a free drink. $100, no joke. The bartender was rude and looked down on us. Not a place I would have enjoyed losing money, after the bar, it was straight to taxi stand land and a more customer friendly Casino.

- Good Visit Check-in was a breeze. Had called and requested a room close to the elevator and even tho our flight didn't get in until evening they had saved a room close for us. I found the staff to be helpful and fiendly. The room was gorgeous - loved the robes and slippers. Maid came by every evening and filled our silver ice bucket, turned down the bed and left chocolates. We mostly play video poker and found the machines to have favorable odds. Liked playing while sitting at the bar. For $20 investment in the poker machine got 3 very good drinks and won $200. For 250 points on your player card you earn 2 free buffets. This is by far the most beautiful place in Vegas. Yes it is expensive but not out of line with luxury hotels in other cities. Gorgeous pool and Terrace Pointe Cafe was very good. Hope to return soon.

Skull and Bones for EXPENSIVE...........no value here. Went to the night club TRYST which was expensive and full of HO. My advice don't stay just visit the mall go to night clubs...........it's not worth the money............it's easily $500 per day per person with no gamming or shows.........too expensive for me it's just VEGAS.

- Good Visit Monday
• Tower Suite Room
Very Nice décor, TV was working, with no issues.
Great soap, also noticed back brush for bath tub.
• Dinner at Red 8, we love this place, great food. For those who do not get into Asian food, just get the Roasted Chicken….very nice and friendly
• Tableau Breakfast – the best, especially Bengets
• Massages for both of us…Wynn Spa is Ok, just feels more like local club (prefer Four seasons and THEHotel spa). Wynn Still has “relaxation area for BOTH men and Women. I know women hated this, exposing themselves without makeup etc, My GF heard a lot of negative comments in the ladies room.
• PHANTOM. Yes we have seen this show before, in Chicago, and yes this Vegas show is only 90 minutes…But THIS VEGAS SHOW IS THE BEST PHONTOM I HAVE EVER SEEM (This included the Phantom I saw with Mr. Crawford).
• PHANTOM: The only place to see this show is in Vegas. The theatre is amazing, the Chandelier is wonderful, bright fireworks and I saw about 30 people crying. This Show is great. I give it 100 stars out of 10.
• Tableau Breakfast – did I mention I love this place
• Pool, No cabana this time, but pool attendant set us with Umbrella.
Overall a very nice trip, you get what you pay for. The upgrade to tower section of hotel is worth it. Private check-in, private enterance (and valet), nice service, private elevators, nicer room decor (has dark brown and NOT Orange wallpaper). Restaurants are very nice. Bartolotta is the BEST for seafood. Red 8, very nice asian food, Sw Steakhouse not as good as Luxor and Weng Lie not as good as red 8.

- Good Visit The hotel was VERY LARGE, VERY BEAUTIFUL, but VERY PRICEY... Their basic room is fairly large, but VERY overpriced for how nice they are... Venetian blows Wynn away !!! The flat screen TV was a nice touch, but small... The floor to ceiling window was the best part of the room unless you were facing the new construction going on outside... There was no couch or table, just two chairs to sit in... We put our parents there for their 50th wedding anniversary and didn't get what we thought we were getting based on the website !

- Good Visit We stayed at this hotel from July 11th through the 14th and loved every minute of it. The view we had from the 34th floor was pretty awesome. We were so mesmerized by the view that all I wanted to do was sit and stare out of the window!! The size of the (king) room was a pretty decent size and it included a table and chairs, a desk and a loveseat and ottoman. The bed was very comfortable and the staff that we came across was very helpful and polite....

- Good Visit This was our second stay at Wynn and every bit as good as out first. For years Bellagio has been our favorite place in Vegas, but now we think Wynn has surpassed it. The public areas are gorgeous, and the rooms simply wonderful - that flat panel HD tv really adds to the enjoyment. The service is consistently pleasant and efficient and the casino is simply great. The selection of restaurants is outstanding. We especially love the Country Club Grille for breakfast. As others have noted, the outstanding features of Wynn are specifically for guests of the hotel, not outside gawkers. We especially appreciate the design that, unlike most other hotels on the strip, does not require long walks to get from one point to another. we'll be back, many times.

- Good Visit Stayed at the Wynn in 7/06 and found the staff and the hotel to be absolutely top of the line. The rooms are the best in LV and we are frequent visitors to LV and have stayed at all of the top properties. Usually stay at Bellagio and if you it, you will also like the Wynn. The show La Reve is fantastic and rivals any Cirque De Solei show and we have seen them all.
The restaurants are very good except the buffet could be better. The casino has a fantastic atmosphere and all of the dealers were gracious. You have to admire the craftsmanship in this hotel and all of the quality amenities there.
If you want the best money can afford in LV, this one is for you.

This is not a child friendly hotel and for those of us who don't like screaming kids under their feet it was great! If you are looking for a $49.99 room you will not find it here, although you can have a $53 steak at SW(restaraunt). The rooms are among the highest($$$) in Vegas, but spend one night in one and you will know why. I will be back soon.

- Good Visit I like to get to Vegas early in the day so that I have time to recover from the flight from the east coast, some times this does not work out so well as check in time is 3:00 PM, especially on sundays and to make it worse, the day of the Vegas NASCAR race. Poor planning on my part but it was my nieces' spring break; so I was pleasantly surprised when the lady in registration kept checking w/o any prompting from me and after a few minutes,(at 11:30 AM) we got a room on floor 28 with a view to the rear. At first I was somewhat dissapointed, that feeling quickly faded as I grew to love the golf course view.
The room was everything previous posts have said, beds &linens being the best that I have ever had; nieces were impressed w/flat screen TV and they loved putting the bathroom TV on a music station while getting ready to go out.
We only had 2 meals at the hotel, lunch at country club grill:omlette, crabcake sandwich, burger/fries couple of soft drinks $78 + tip ($22). Snack At zoozoocrackers'a deli next to the sports book in the casino: cobb salad, Club sandwhich/fries, 2 beers $58 +tip ($10). Kind of pricey but it is an upscale place.
The girls each got a massage which they loved ($145 each) and I got a hot towel shave ($65). They said the massages were great and well worth it (my money), $65 for a shave might seem steep, but if you have never done it guys, give it try, it is a GREAT feeling, takes about 45 minutes and is worth every penny, besides, how long does $65 last on the blackjack table?
A little too cool for us to enjoy the beautiful pool, look forward to July trip.
Dealers at the tables were VERY friendly and professional, seemed like they loved doing it, Monday night/Tuesday morning we stayed at the same table for 10 hours, mainly because they made it so much fun; nieces got hammered, I lost track of how many beers they drank, at one point the dealer suggested they do some shots; believe me he did not have to twist any arms. I should mention that the cocktail servers are hot hot hot, but they also hustle, we never had to wait, one of them them figured out that the girls were on a mission and did not even ask, just kept bringing beers and shots. And yes, I did lose money
but niece #2 won a couple hundred.
Made this too long,
HIGH POINTS:
No young kids, not a family place, fine with me
Great service all around
Best beds in Vegas
Beautiful grounds and pool area, again lack of kids will make the pool even nicer
BAD POINTS
for me, none, but not the ideal place for families or a bunch of guys out for a Vegas weekend, seemed to be an older crowd. Again not a deal breaker for me.
Location sort of sucks if you want to get out and about, not really close to anything so if sightseeing is in your plans, I would stay somewhere more central. Also as the monorail goes around the golf course it does not stop at the hotel so it is taxi everywhere. having the fashion show mall across the street is a plus as there is a larger selection of stores there than forum shops, plus some more dining options.
Not cheap; nothing in the place is, but again you get what you pay for, if you want inexpensive stay somewhere else, there are plenty of options.
Would I stay there again? YES!

ok, so the rooms are expensive and I never will want to spend that much money on a room (though I will accept a free room there)...and the casino seems to be shooting for the "higher class" types....they let me in... so how high class can they be??? anyway.... we were impressed with the casino layout.. and the floral arrangement...one thing I did not notice anyone mentioning is the Parasol Up/Parasol Down area.... I would certainly recommend going to the Parasol Down part and going outside for a drink or so... the lake with the statues, along with the drive in waterfall.. and the trees is impressive.. though it won't knock your socks off...and yes... the drinks are high priced.. oh well.. how much were you gonna be losing at the tables anyway??? give it a try

- Undecided The Hotel is introspective you do not get a real picture from outside.Once inside the layout is confusing to start off with and fine once you become accustomed to it.It is poorly layed out for a new build, the whole place is awash with obvious signs of high expenditure. The result is unexpectedly cramped and lacks any wow factor. The mosaics on the floors are nice but are breaking up already, and they don't fit with the rest of the decor. The usual high end shops plus a rip off gift shop.$3 for a diposable lighter and nearly $3 for a small soda. The Resort rooms are great.Plenty of space, panoramic views over the strip, electric drapes,2 lcd tvs.Verrry comfortable bed indeed, reasonable size bathroom.
All the extras, the shoe polish, slippers, bathroom goodies and shoe horn are the best in quality. The biggest let down was the toilet paper real cheap nasty finger through variety!Room service was good. Our losses $100.00 on the penny slots in 30 minutes,I will not be robbed so we gambled in TI and $100.00 lasted a whole day on the slots and it is only 10 minutes away.
We would visit again,it is a nice place to stay and the centre of the strip is moving up towards TI now,so it will soon be the best for its central location. My advice to Mr.Wynn do not let your designers and contractors have their own way with the budget and styling decisions it has led to expensive mistakes. My guess is that within the next year more remodelling will need to be done to the taxi drop off area,as it is already obvious that it cannot cope with the flow of baggage and people waiting for pick ups.

- Good Visit I received an email from the Wynn about a week ago offering us two
complimentary nights at the hotel. As I stared at the computer screen, I
thought, what's the catch? "No Catch" the reservation woman said. We
would like you to stay as our guest, and check out the property. I had
signed up to be on their mailing list before the hotel had opened. Let's
see, free room in the newest, nicest hotel in Las Vegas? Let's go!
This place is great. Top notch. The staff was also very nice from bellmen
to front desk. The standard room was high tech. 30" HDTV LCD monitor,
13" LCD TV in the bathroom. Remote control drapes, wireless phone, fax
machine, 10,000 kbps internet hookup (extra $11.99 a day to use). 320
thread count sheets, solid marble table, awesome bathroom. Seriously,
I'm spoiled now. I love the the high end tech stuff. We were on the 31st
floor facing the strip. VIEW, VIEW, VIEW. Nice.
Ate at Daniel Boulud Brasseria one night. Steve Wynn was there having
dinner. The food was great. Not cheap, but excellent! The 24 hour
restaurant is called the Terrace Point Cafe, also great.
Le Reve was fantastic. It’s like a combination of Mystere and O. Totally
worth the $90.00 per ticket.
My only complaint is that the minimum bet on the table games are too
high for me. I can hang with $5.00 to $10.00 blackjack tables, but $25.00
a hand is out of my league. It's also too bad there are not more bars with
video poker. That's what my Girlfriend and I like to play while sitting at the
bar. Maybe Steve Wynn will read this and build a few down the road.
And yes, both nights were free. We will be back. I've decided not to stay
anywhere else. What a great place! Thanks Steve!

- Good Visit Everyone has his own favorite hotel in Las Vegas for a variety of reasons. I would put the Wynn at the top of my list for best overall hotel and casiono. We have stayed at the Wynn twice Dec. 13 - 16 and July 24 - 27. Both visits were very enjoyable. The Wynn hotel is equal to the finest hotels in Las Vegas.
The staff has always been helpful and friendly to us. The rooms are not as large as the Venetian, but the rooms are the best that I have ever seen. Two LCD monitors, one large and one small, electronic drape openers and the beds are similar to the Westin heavenly bed. The decor is similar to a jazed up Bellagio. The buffet is as good as any in Las Vegas. Like any new property they still have a few small bugs to work out, but over all this an fantastic up-scale hotel.

Too bad the prices on the rooms are so high as we would like to stay for a few nights. If they lower there prices & bet this will be great for a stay. We are not high rollers but do enough gambling that room rates could be lower. We get rooms at Harrahs for almost nothing because of our comps but understand Wynns has much higher standards as for comps. PS, we even won playing slots.
Check it out, it is just fantastic.

Wow - After reading these reviews it sure seems like Mr. Wynn needs to have a sincere heart to heart with his employees. I used to encounter the same attitudes in Palm Beach where the employees of the various shops, restaurants, etc. would put on airs. Why? I couldn't tell you but they sure developed attitudes nonetheless.
I probably will visit this place sometime soon, but I doubt that I'll stay there.

- Good Visit We stayed at the Wynn Las Vegas from November 21-24, 2005. It was absolutley fabulous! Check-in was quick (we arrived early and they had a room ready and waiting). They even gave us a choice as to which side of the hotel we wanted to stay as well as a choice of an upgraded room for a small fee. My wife chose the view of the golf course and pool (we decided not to upgrade at this time). We went up to the room and it was the nicest room I have ever stayed in. Later that night we decided that we wanted a room on the other side of the hotel with a Strip view. I decided to go down and see if there was anything we could do. The staff at the reception was very nice and without question upgraded our room for free! We ended up with an unbelievable 2.7 Billion dollar view of the Strip. Our room was on the 57th floor!
We spent a lot of time away from the hotel visiting other properties on the Strip but we did spend most of our time in Las Vegas at the Wynn. I'm by no means a high roller and I found that the prices for food was not all that bad. The service from the waitresses was excellent while we were gambling. Table limits were reasonable and I made a little money to boot. I played blackjack and the dealers were great. They were happy and laughing with the players and we really had a good time playing. I always say a happy table is a winning table and everywhere I sat everyone was happy.
The whole experience was top-notch from check-in to check-out. The prices were very reasonable for a hotel of this calibre. I will definitely be looking to stay at the Wynn Las Vegas on my next trip to Sin City.

- Good Visit On arrival the computers were down so we could not register until 3PM and then everyone was registering, but it went fairly fast anyway. We had a snag at the valet parking when they couldn't find our car because of a mix up in the numbers, so we had a long wait there. It took more than a half hour to get our luggage up to the room.
BUT, what a room. Not as big as I had expected but it is very, very nice. The bed is so comfortable, and I'm one who never can sleep in a hotel bed. If it hadn't been for the noise from the Treasure Island show I would have gone to sleep before my head hit the pillow. Beautifully appointed room with flat panel TV (they could use a better remote control), linens to die for, a huge bath with deep soaking tub and walk in shower, two sinks with make-up vanity. They come in in the evening and tidy up your room, turn down the sheets and leave a chocolate.
The casino is a casino, nothing special, very expensive. You have to go exploring to see where the best features are, such as, the restaurants. They are the most elaborately decorated I have ever seen. We did not have a chance to eat in any of them but if the food is as good as the decor, WOW.

I don't know about you, but I prefer casinos where the main illumination is provided by the slot machines and the neon signage. At Wynn's, the casino is lit up like it's High Noon 24 hours-a-day. The place is so bright that you can't help but wonder how strangers have profiled you. Personally, I can't stand gambling in broad daylight. On another level, there are so many well-dressed Wynn's functionaries on the casino floor that they sometimes seem to outnumber the patrons. These operatives constantly watch you, sometimes over your shoulder. This gives me the creeps. Lastly, forget about asking for a drink. By the time the waitress returns, Wynn's has cleaned out your wallet. During their grand opening, they were passing out the same beady necklaces you get at the seedier casinos downtown. So much for being "high class." When Wynn's is packed, it just plain stinks because there are no windows that allow fresh air to circulate. What a horrible casino! Mr. Wynn ought to go back to the drawing board. This casino sucks BIG TIME.

I did not stay here, only visited the casino. It's a nice place, but to borrow a theme that others have mentioned, there's no "Wow" factor. Cocktail waitresses were nonexistent. Didn't bother to sign up for the players' club - didn't seem like it was worth the trouble. I wouldn't come here again.

Did not stay, but came to play (1800 miles) and to see what all the excitment was about. We have played in over 90 Las Vegas area casinos, good and bad.
The place is beautiful, no doubt, however part of the joy of our visits to LV is being treated first rate by the staff. Our experience at Winn Las Vegas was
underwhelming, to say the least. We signed up for our players card. The Wall Street lookking guy seemed to care less about us standing in front of him, or should I have said "below him". I bought in at the craps table, again the welcome from dealers and boxmen were ho hum. The casino cage was not any better. At least the slot machines were not rude to my wife. They were just another machine, kind of like most of the people we encountered who worked there. We have the best Art Museum in the United States in Cleveland. We don't go to LV to see art, we go to relax and enjoy our selves gambling and being treated as if the tourist industry really matters. We are treated better most everywhere else, which is where we will continue to play.

- Good Visit Thank you thank you thank you, my life has changed so much since I visited the wynn, the blackjack and craps pay off and in a big way there, I about lost all composer on the blackjack table there, I started off with 300 bucks, and quickly ran a shoot of cards with just a couple losses, but with many wins, I'm not sure how much I had in front of me, I must of had around 6,000, after about 2 hours, I was gonna cash out and go back to the new york new york and I couldn't stop my self from playing craps, my wifes favorite number is 8, so I put down 100 bucks on hard 8 for her, about 6 rolls later, it hits, and hits again and again and I kept on raising my bet, I'm not saying I won every time, but my life is not the same. With the winnings I joined a country club and I even invested in wynn (stock market.) Go to the wynn and win like I did. ($17,710) THANK YOU

- Good Visit I stayed at the Tower Suites at the Wynn(Bellagio II) and the room was amazing. Extremely large, well laid out and three flat panel TVs in my room. The only complaint I have would be their love for the color red, I am not a fan of red couches. The casino is very well laid out, extremely clean, every detail has not been overlooked, and only a few steps right onto the Strip. The restaurants(even the coffee shop) are expensive compaired to most places but its about the same as Bellagio or Caesars. Overall the rooms are very expensive for Las Vegas standards but if you want to stay in extremely luxury at the newest casino on the block, stay at Wynn LV.

I have just returned from my first stay at the Wynn Las Vegas on August 5th.
I make a trip to Vegas once a year and have been a huge fan of the Wynn properties. Whenever possible I stay at the Bellagio or the Mirage, and sometimes, depending on the length of the trip, I stay at both. My husband and I love the Bellagio for the first class service and the absolute beauty of the property. We call the Mirage our home away from home. This time we wanted to see what else Mr. Wynn had to offer. We had heard so much hype about the new Wynn Las Vegas and so we booked a couple of nights there. Our stay was on August 2nd through the 4th.
From the beginning we were unimpressed. We walked up to the Check in counter and received no warm welcome. There were no smiles, no happy greetings, and very little eye contact. My first words were, "I may be looking for a new home in Vegas!" I explained that I have always stayed at the Bellagio and Mirage and may be looking for a new and exciting venture while in Vegas. The girl just stared back at me with a blank look on her face. No signs of excitement to have us stay there. Just a blank stare. The check in was very uneventful and very impersonal. She gave me my room for $200 a night and sent me on my way.
My next venture was trying to cope with the heat in your elevators! I cannot believe that Mr. Wynn has invested so much money in the aesthetics and did not even cool the elevators! The ride up to the rooms was hot and muggy. During my stay there I heard numerous complaints about the heat in the elevators.
The rooms were nicely decorated but after hearing so much hype about how big they were, I was disappointed. Mr. Wynn put all the extra square footage in the large foyers! The room is just normal size, no different than the Bellagio. Just more foyer/entry space. Again, very unimpressed.
We could not wait to try the buffet. Our favorite place to eat is the Buffet at the Bellagio and we couldn’t wait to see how Wynn out did himself at this buffet. What a disappointment! We waited in line for over 40 minutes and when it was finally our turn to be seated, we had to listen to a 5 minute conversation between our hostess and another employee about her vacation plans. Finally she seated far away from the actual buffet. We asked if we could be seated closer so the food would stay warm. She was very abrupt and rude and said we could go stand back in line if we wanted a different table. We asked why this would be a problem and she said she would escort us back out to the line if the table was not satisfactory. I was shocked that Mr. Wynn had not even tried to compete with the other buffets. The variety was lacking. The quality was poor. The other buffets are serving prime rib and this buffet only had Flank Steak, the least expensive cut of meat. I really did not like the presentation. While the Bellagio and other buffets serve the food in large bowls and hot trays, the Wynn presents each entrée or food choice in a small little dish. Most of the small dishes are empty when you walk through the line. There is cool air blowing down right in front of the buffet so it is very hard to get back to your table with warm food. Especially since they do not offer hot or even warm plates for your food. They are ice cold right out of the ice box. The sampling of food is boring and unappetizing. We were very unimpressed considering the price was higher than most.
We decided to try breakfast the next morning. While other buffets have two chefs preparing made-to-order eggs, you only have one. So, the line is long and the chef is busy. I asked for sunny side up eggs and he tried to make them three times without breaking the yolks. I finally gave him a break and ordered an omelet.
The dining area is cramped and it is very difficult to move freely even around your own table. The mirrors around the room are just what people do not want to see when eating large buffet meals. Maybe this is Wynn’s angle to the whole thing. Present small portions to chose from, pipe in cool air all along the buffet line to cool the food, make the dining area cramped and small, and put mirrors everywhere so that people will not go back for more. I think people are on to the psychology here and I heard more than one comment about the same things.
The money spent on things that really do not matter is phenomenal. I mean when people see the Volcano or the fountains, or even the Pirate ship, they leave with a WOW! Mr. Wynn has invested so much money in a feature (the fountain that turns into a drive in movie screen) that does not have any WOW factor. Very unimpressive.
When I checked out of the room, I was not asked how I enjoyed my stay. It was no different than going through a check out line at Wal-Mart. No greeting. No friendly smiles. So, I offered my comments. I told the representative that I was very unimpressed and felt like I paid a high price for hype. I felt my visit was unpleasant and would probably not be coming back to the Wynn. He offered nothing. He made no eye contact. He handed me my bill and said, "come again." I would have asked why the visit was so unpleasant or how it could have been better. Nothing was said after I made the comment of not being impressed with the Wynn.
I left the Wynn feeling that your property is not worth what I paid to stay there. I am very disappointed in the staff and their lack of customer service. For $200 a night I wanted to feel special. I wanted to escape the everyday life at home and feel pampered and treated like royalty. At least that is the way I always feel leaving the Bellagio and the Mirage. Someone needs to tell the staff that the guests are paying their paychecks. It is this lack of customer service that will make Mr. Wynn continue to lose money on this venture.
I really do want to see Mr. Wynn succeed. I am so impressed with his past history and his "guests-come-first-attitude." Somehow, the message is being missed at this property. I have felt more welcome at a Holiday Inn.
Sincerely,
Save time and money and stay at the Bellagio or the Venetian for the same money. You will get outstanding service and red carpet treatment. And if you want a luxury hotel and the full pampering for less money, stay at the gorgeous Mirage.

We did not stay here, just visited the casino to see what a brand new one looked like. We signed up for the players club card and were told "Mr Wynn does not believe in putting holes in the card or in bungee cords". This is great if you can remember to remove your card from the machine, which apparently most people can't since every machine I sat at had one still in it. The machines are tight, but I did play one for about 15 or 20 minutes before losing all my money. The chairs are very comfortable which kept my sitting there even though I had doubled my money. I just didn't want to get up! This place is so big we were unable to find the taxi stand, so we ended up walking back to our hotel. We noticed on our long walk that Mr Wynn has installed fake grass along the parimeter. It's very real looking and I had to touch it to believe it was fake. I'd like to have this at my own home even though I think it might look odd to my neighbors to vacuum my grass instead of mowing it. We rode the monorail (big mistake, long hike to any casino on it's route) and it goes by the golf course. Only saw 2 people out there and I'm not sure if they were golfers or workers. We did not eat here or shop here so I can't comment on the prices. This was probably my one and only visit to Wynn Las Vegas as I am just a lowly office worker and Mr Wynn obviously built this resort for the high roller. My advice, go there to experience a new place, but eat, shop and gamble somewhere else.

- Bad Visit OK. it's a Wynn place. He of Mirage, TI and Bellagio fame. You expect Wynn Las Vegas to blow you away.
They spent $2.7 BILLION on this place! Where is the evidence of that kind of money spent? Yeah, it's
nice. Like a Ritz-Carlton, but there is (as others have said) no WOW factor. I just came by to see the
place and gamble. The "water feature" is just a surrealistic 5 minute movie projected on a drive in movie
screen (with a large head that rises from the lake). It's no Bellagio fountains, Mirage vocano or TI battle.
It's just plain stupid. I hit a royal on the VP and walked out with $1k so i like the action, but the low-
ceilings and bland enteriors won't bring me back. And every employee i dealt with was cold as a fish.
And that's what everyone was saying. Just wait, Wynn Resorts will very soon announce that they are "not
meeting their earnings targets"-- after everyone gets a look at WLV and finds disapointment. Two
things to note: very comfy seats for slots and the air conditioned valet waiting area is nice.

- Bad Visit The third week of June, we received, by mail, an invitation to stay free for two nights at Wynn Las Vegas. But the dates were June 26th to June 29th. I called to find out if I could have the dates extended. I was told there was a printing error and the ending date was supposed to be September 1st. The invites were sent out before the mistake was caught. The reason we got the invite was because we happened to be there during their grand opening month, and they wanted to give those people another chance to see their hotel and casino without all the crowds. She was right, there were lines waiting to get in and crowds everywhere. One of the reasons we didn't stay long was because there were so many people. The lady was very nice, and I told her I would call back if I could put something together. We figured we would probably never have a chance like that again, so we decided to plan a trip.
I called back about a week later to make my reservations and was asked what were my dates on the letter. Evidently, if you didn't call and get the dates extended, you didn't get the free nights. Also, depending on your amount of play, additional free nights could be received. So reservations were made with no problem.
We left out of Detroit on July 31st. We arrived in Vegas around 9:30 PM. We took a cab to the Wynn. Our cab bill was over $22.00, which seemed a little excessive, but they figure if you can afford the Wynn, you can afford the taxi ride. He did seem to go out of his way, as I kept seeing Mandalay Bay from many different angles.
We arrived at the hotel registration lane, and evidently our taxi driver stopped short of where he was supposed to because other cabs were honking at him. We were already out of the cab and my husband said, "I'm not getting back in the cab just to move a few feet." So he paid the driver, we grabbed out luggage and the driver left.
Registration was a breeze. Not that many people in line that time of the night. The girl was very courteous and explained everything to us. If we didn't want any thing from the mini bar she said, "Don't even move it." We didn't understand it at the time, but found out why later. We were told the robes were in our room to use, but the slippers (Mr. & Mrs.) were ours to keep. She informed us our hotel key is also your slot card. Not completely true, as we found out later. The elevators to our room were quite a long walk from registration. Our room was the farthest away from the elevator as you can get. But once we got in the room (it took some time to figure out that your slot card does not work for your hotel room), we were happy with where we were because we had a view from two sides. With the floor to ceiling windows, it was quite a sight, especially at night. The drapes and sheers were controlled by push button, the bathroom; very large with his and hers wash basins, the shower stall was surrounded with clear glass. There was a phone and TV in the bathroom also. We found out about the mini bar. You're allowed to pick something up and look at the ingredients, but if you wait longer than 60 seconds, you are charged for it. It's all weighted. You cannot get any of the Vegas magazines in your room, and there are no comment cards there either. You have to ask for them at the front desk.
I went down to the Red Card desk (that's what their slot card is called), and asked if my husband could play on my card or if he had to have a separate one. I was told because of new legislation, he had to have his own card. So I had one made out in his name.
We gambled the rest of the night and into the wee hours of the morning. After a few hours of shuteye, we were back down gambling again. There are no cocktail waitresses on the floor in the mornings. I even asked a supervisor if there were any, and she told me she would call and have one sent over. This happened both mornings we were there. One never showed up. So evidently, supervisors have no pull either. What chance does the lowely gambler have. All we wanted was a cup of coffee without paying an arm and a leg.
We took a break and decided to see the pool. Again your slot card does not work there either. It's a good thing my husband brought his room key, or we would not have been able to get in. Very nice pool, but we just walked around to see what it was like. They also have section for topless sunbathing.
Around 4:00 PM., I decided to check to see how many points we had built up. I found that the casino hosts have an office right out in the open, that you can go and talk to anybody available about your account status. After my card was checked, I was told I was 106 in the hole. Now I was so shocked that I was in the hole, I didn't ask if that was 106 points or 106 dollars. I asked how I could be in the hole, as I had put in many hours on the machines. The gentleman said, "We took off for your room." I told him that was supposed to be complimentary. I asked him, "What if I didn't gamble?" He said, "We don't care if you don't spend one penny gambling; we don't care if you stay here and gamble somewhere else." So I said, "In other words, I was penalized for gambling." The standard answer was, "That's how we do it." I told him that we have stayed at other casinos and have never had our points taken away from us. Guess what his answer was? "That's how we do it." He mentioned something about us receiving $600.00 in comps and acted like I shouldn't complain about being in the hole. Hello!! Please explain what free and complimentary mean to you. How can a person get additional free nights based upon pIay, when the more you gamble, the farther in the hole you go. I decided to find out what my husband had accumulated in points. He had $55.00 so far. The gentleman did not introduce himself or offer me a business card. I left there and went to see if I had accumulated enough points to get the two free buffets. I went back to the Red Card desk (because that is their promotion, not the casino hosts) and I did have enough to get two free dinner buffets. She swiped my card, and told me that I was in the system, and all I had to do was go to the invited guests line, and that they have all our information. She assured me that it would not come off my points (what points, I'm already in the hole), as this was their gift to us (yeah, just like the free room). We go to the buffet, find the "Invited Guests" line, and proceed to the front. I hand them my card, and guess what? They can't find me in the system. So he keeps fooling around and then he tells me I don't have enough points. By this time, my husband is furious, he's not saying anything, but I can tell by the smoke coming out of his ears. Somehow if must have been settled because we were given a receipt and allowed to proceed. We are at the front of the line and had already told the girl how many, when she yells out, "If anybody in this line (our line) doesn't have an LP on your receipt, you're in the wrong line. You need to be in this line." Which turns out to be quite longer than the line we were in, as we were first. In stead of her saying since you have been waiting and were next to be seated, I'll take you next, she made us go all the way to the end of the other line. I look at my husband; more smoke. Not only that, there are four cashiers in four separate stations, which is fine but, the cashiers are situated in the middle of the lines, so people would pay and step in line ahead of us instead of going all the way to the end of the line. They would pay and cut in line. You guessed it; more smoke.
After our dinner, my husband said, "I don't want to gamble here anymore", so we went across the street to the Frontier. We hadn't played there in such a long time, we had to get new cards. We found out that my husband could play on my card. They hadn't heard about the new legislation. Also, your points are good for four years there, yes four years. We found a lot of different machine with great pay scales. We found our favorite Pay The Aces, which can't be done TITO. We stayed there longer than we expected to because we kept finding new video poker machines that we had never seen before. Then we walked to the Fashion Show Mall and caught the shuttle for Palace Station. Which is where we should have stayed in the first place. We felt so guilty about not staying there, that we spent several hours gambling just to make up for it. Plus my husband is going to Vegas in October for business. Palace Station is out of the way, but he will be staying there just the same.
The next morning my husband wanted to take his money out. But come to find out he only got $22.42 back. It looks like your penalized for not gambling either. We did get two free buffets on his card, so we decided to use them for the breakfast buffet. We were told the same thing as the night before, that everything was taken care of; just walk through the "Invited Guests" line. This time it worked. We got through with no trouble. Service was not that great though. An elderly lady who sat next to us asked three times for coffee. One girl told her she didn't do coffee. Finally, after her meal was finished, she got her coffee. The same thing happened to my husband. He asked a server for some coffee, and he waited and waited, then finally saw her doing something else. We just gave up and left.
We have told several people about their point system and nobody can believe us. They say they have never heard of such a thing.
I am still waiting to see if any additional charges show up on my credit card.
One more thing, since I didn't get a chance to pick up a comment card, I decided to call for one. On my first call, the girl didn't know which department it was handled by. She found out it was the front desk, and transferred me there. I gave them all my information, and was told that a comment card would be sent. I waited almost two weeks and no card. I called again, asked for the front desk, they checked my slot card number and I was told that it was sent out on August 18th. Almost two weeks after I called. So, I waited. No card. I called again, waiting over a week this time. I was told that the front desk doesn't handle that, and I was transferred to Housekeeping. The girl told me that they had no way of checking my information, as they had no access to my account. But she assured me that a comment card would be sent. That just proves my point; nobody knows what they are doing. It has been since August 5th and I am still waiting for my comment card. Evidently they don't want you to comment, and I can see why by all the negative reports coming from there.
There are good things to say about Wynn, but there are many bad things to say also. Just because something is expensive doesn't necessarily mean it's better. Maybe they just need more time to work all the kinks out.

Maybe I expected more. Casino was tight as a tick. EVERYTHING costs too much. Its pretty but I like Bellagio much better. It just seemed to dark. I sure did'nt see many folks playing on the overpriced ($500 a round) golf course. Several women in our group complained about the lack of stalls in the rest rooms. One of the mentioned that the sinks, long marble troughs, reminded her of the sinks in WAL-Mart rest room. I got a kick out of that. When I was told that you have to earn 500 points to be considered a member of the player's club that ended my visit there. There are other places that WANT my action!

I did not stay here but I did visit, being curious about the "new great casino". I admit the casino is nicely layed out, plush and very attractive. My mom and I played the slots for a while and then I went to the shops to pick up a few things. I had no problem getting in to the golf pro shop as someone previously mentioned. Just a few suggestions, Mr. Wynn. Even the cab drivers stated there were fewer people going to WYNN now than a month ago. That's to be expected now that the newness is wearing off but as time goes on, please cater more to the average folks along with the upscale patrons. High rollers spend big money but average folks do too and they are the bread and butter, so to speak. Expand your gift and logo shop to include more average things like a variety of WYNN branded t-shirts. I had planned on eating at SW Steakhouse and wanted to be sure of a dress code. Weather that day, Tueseday July 19th was a record 117 degrees so I checked the WHAT'S ON magazine for any dress restrictions before leaving my hotel. Yes, I know it's general information in WHAT'S ON and I could have called first but WHATS ON showed no restrictions. Upon arriving at SW Steakhouse just at opening time I found no shorts were allowed in the restaraunt. I fully understand this and don't blame WYNN. Be aware if you are planning on eating here that you don't need a suit and tie but don't wear shorts of any kind, not even dress shorts. Brave the hot weather outside and wear long pants! It would have meant a $12 taxi ride back to my hotel to change and then another $12 back to WYNN so we ate at Blackstone's in Monte Carlo instead. All in all, I was impressed by WYNN's and feel the problems people noted here will smooth out in time. I think Mr. Wynn has a winner and nice place here!

- Bad Visit What a “WYNNer”!
Wynn definitely not “family friendly” or friendly at all!
I am not a person who is very easily angered, however after my first and ONLY visit to the WYNN with my family, I left with boiling blood and disgust following an unforgettable encounter with a pompous, hard headed “security” man, Ralph, who rightful belongs at such a “wynner” of a casino.
My husband and I recently moved to Las Vegas, and have been impressed with the city’s “family friendly” atmosphere. Upon many visits to countless casinos and resorts, we have found them to gladly accommodate and cater to families’ needs, with one exception: THE WYNN!
One afternoon, curious as everyone else, my husband and I and our two little boys (2 yrs. and 1 yr.) decided to visit the WYNN to get a better look at it’s unique an intriguing architecture. Upon arriving, we were excited to find a parking space close to the elevators, relieving us from a long hot walk across the garage with the two little ones. We quickly unloaded the kids, the stroller, and the diaper bag, locked up the car and jumped on the elevator which took us to the casino. As we strolled into the grand entry we were immediately harped upon by a “security” man who talked to us as though we were criminals, and ensured us, while pointing to our children sitting in their stroller that in “no way [would we] be entering in Mr. Wynn’s building with ‘that’!” My husband and I both looked at each other confused and embarrassed by the scene this man was making. I asked him if he was serious. Ralph assured me in his demeaning tone and in no uncertain terms that “Mr. Wynn once tripped over a stroller when he worked at the Bellagio, and decided to ban them from his own casino!” He further counseled us that, “when [we] are rich, and have our casino, we can make up our own rules too.” Nowhere was this absurd rule posted as we entered the casino from the self-parking garage. We decided that my husband would go ahead and take the stroller back to the car while I held the boys and waited for him to return. Right then, I should have been smart enough just to leave the hotel altogether, but we had driven all the way here with the kids and I didn’t want to turn around and return home disappointed.
If our first conversation wasn’t disturbing enough, I had to sit and be taunted by Ralph as my husband “followed his orders”! He knew that I was unhappy with Mr. Wynn’s ban on strollers, and began to make light of the recent bombings in London by telling me that “[I] should be happy, at least [I] wasn’t blown up on a bus in London!” I was shocked and disgusted with this “wynner” of a human being! I attempted to ignore his insensitive comments by preventing eye contact with him.
Meanwhile, my arms were burning from trying to hold my two year old who was eager to get down and explore and my 1yr. old who can’t walk. I couldn’t really go anywhere else to escape this crazed man, as my husband wouldn’t know where to find me. Yet, this “wynner” would not give up his demeaning chit chat. He caught a glimpse of a handicapped woman entering in the casino and let me know that the only reason they would be able to enter with their wheelchair was because of what he called the “American Criminal Liberty Union” (a.k.a. the American Civil Liberties Union)! I could not believe what I had just heard this man say! (Although by this point it probably shouldn’t have surprised me) He continued on to say, “and your probably one of those people who at the airport don’t want to wait in the long security lines and be wait to be screened . . . but then if something bad happens do you have the checkbook open to pay for it?” Fortunately at this point, as my blood was boiling, I was relieved by my husband who came through the doors and said, “Let’s go!”
I was in complete and utter shock regarding what I had been subjected to, I couldn’t even respond! I was physically and mentally shocked and almost “frozen” after hearing this blasphemy! I still can’t even believe the things that came out of that “wynner’s” mouth! (The term “wynner” is quite an understatement for what I truly think of this man) How could any human being speak of such things in such a way to any other human! I am upset with myself for not having the state of mind to give him an earful back. For this reason and to warn all others, I am writing this letter. Ralph needs to be set straight and know what a low life, uneducated, “wynner” he truly is by using a mother and her two young children as victims for his “power trip”.
To Mr. Wynn I say, you have some real “wynner’s” representing your name (my apologies to those who have a head on their shoulders and financially need to work there). I hope someday that your ban on strollers doesn’t come back and nip you in the butt, when you trip and fall on some poor loose child, who’s family then sues you and becomes the new owners of your establishment!
Lastly, to all I say regardless if you use a stroller or not, steer clear of the Wynn!

- Bad Visit Dont go to the Wynn to play the slots!! They are the tightest I have EVER encountered!! Drink service is slow. It is very beautiful, however Bellagio is much more open and elegant than this one is. It is what Mr.Wynn wanted it to be, a resort that caters more to confrences and things of that sort than gambling or tourism. One Point for the Wynn is that there are NOT tons of kids, that was great!! Nice to see, but wont go back.

- Good Visit My husband and I stayed at Wynn Las Vegas the weekend of July 15 and had a fabulous time! The hotel is absolutely beautiful! We had a panoramic view room that would take your breath away - it was awesome. The service - from check in to check out was perfect. We did not have to wait in line to do either. The slot hosts were very professional and personal and I loved the machines. We spent time at the gym and spa on Saturday. The spa is beautiful and very relaxing....I could have spent the whole day there! All in all it was a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back

- Undecided Everything about this place screams at you that you are not really welcome unless you are a high roller. If you are not there to spend a lot of money in their casino, you may be tolerated, but it is vey clear that you are not who they really want there. Even in other "high roller places", I have never felt so uncomfortable. It's not that we experienced any out right rudeness, just a general lack of interest. You can't even join the slot club unless you prove that you're "worthy". They give you a generic card that you have to earn a certain number of points on before they will sign you up for the club. It just seems to be a very snobby, unwelcoming place.

- Good Visit We just visited the Wynn 5/31/05 to 6/2/05 and the rate was only $209 which we thought was a great deal. Check in was easy and friendly. The casino was nice and thought it had the perfect lighting. The room was awesome (floor 21) and overlooked the wall fountain & could check out the show at night from our room, and the strip!! The rooms have floor to ceiling windows which was a big difference. The flat screen tv's are a nice touch too.
The only downfall we thought was that the pool area didn't have a water feature (waterfall or fountain) which I just love to hear while lounging. That is almost a deal breaker....at least in the summertime.
After visiting the Bellagio and Mirage on the same visit and then returning to the Wynn, we actually like Wynn the BEST!!!

- Good Visit I received an offer from their casino marketing department for 3 free nights in June. So my wife and I jumped on the deal. My first mistake was taking the wrong left turn off the stripo and entered the self park when I really wanted the valet. My wife was ok withn it and we took our luggage over to the bell desk and proceeded to check in, the room was not ready yet so we decided to have lunch whil waiting.
Noticed the atrium (you can't miss it) and it reminded me off other Wtnn properties. Found a little cafe at the end of the shops and I had a sandwich and a juice while my wife had a salad and ice tea. Coast was $37.00 a little high but I understand the cost is necessary to cover the fixed costs of the joint. The grapefruit juice was some of the best I have ever had, abd the sabdwich wasn't to bad.
Came back to registration and got our room. Our room was room 1239 a handicap room. (my wife suffers from oa also we got her an electric scooter from the bell desk) We went uo to the room and it was very nice. It had full view windows and our vies was of the mall, TI, the Mirage, and the Venitian. I also noticed checking many other people were taking advantage of the same offer were the room key was also your slot club card. I guess they are trying to build up the slot club membership (I think the got our names for the Golden Nugget were we play 5.00 vp) The room had one of the best beds I have ever seen very comfy. The bathroom was perfect with a built in seat in the shower stall that my wife must have)The flat screen TV was very nice and when you turn it on it has your name on it.
The VP conditions at this hotel are not the best, but not as bad as some other strip locations. On 1.00 vp the points wring up quickly on the card so it's not to bad. The craps (wich I did win at) were 15.00 minimums with 345 x's odds. Standard strip fair. The blackjack conditions are not good though with continous shuffle machines and dealer hitting soft 17's. This is not a place for bj play (it seems really set up for tourist and not gamblers).
All the help was extremely friendly, the only bad thing was when we checked out the bell desk took way to long to get up to our room to pick up our luggage. I will stay at this hotel if they ever send another deal in the mail to me.

- Bad Visit Stayed in Panaramic View Room. Room was much smaller than the web site makes it appear. The door was broken and we had to pull up on it to get it to close. No coffee anywhere but the gift shop, and room service. 3.50 a cup! And it was the WORST coffee I have ever had. Staff was friendly. Cab lines were extremely long. Way overpriced, if you like overpaying for everything this is your place. Would not stay there again, would not recommend it. Nuff said.

- Bad Visit As a local, I decided to check out the latest resort. We entered from the south valet and was very underwhelmed from the start. Valet drivers barking orders at our friend, etc. Once in, I thought we were at Bellagio. A similar garden greets you, but it is much smaller.
Once in the casino area, the look is very toned down, more so than expected. We decided to watch the "water feature" (Yes, that's what its official name is), but was told it didn't start until 9:00. So off to the Ferrari shop (thankfully they're not charging any more) and looked around.
We looked for somewhere to eat, but the only 'cheap' option was the deli by the sports book. 2 sandwiches, 2 beer and fries - $39. The sandwiches were big, but would have settled for one 1/2 the size at half the cost. (Don't order the turkey).
After dinner, we headed to the balcony bar to watch the show - you have to be at a bar or restaurant to see it. After waiting 10 minutes, I finally got to order my $8 beer. When the show started, it had promise, but it turned out to be nothing more than projected lights on the trees and (poor) projected video on the water wall. It was short, and worse than the worst shows on Fremont.
Overall, the property is not a place to bother taking out-of-towners. I would never stay here as it is further away from the heart of the strip than I would like. Everything is expensive, and there are no options. The service is mediocre, and velvet ropes are the rule - it's very unwelcoming.
In the end, we waited about 1/2 an hour for our car to appear at valet pickup and had time to review the trip. Final count? 4 thumbs down.
If Wynn's idea was to create a property that keeps the 'riff-raff' out, meaning the casual casino goer, he has done a great job. Let the rich play here and they can have this pretentious property all to themselves.

Wynn Las Vegas is getting a bum rap on this page.
Wynn Las Vegas was not meant to be a bargain. It was not meant to attract tourists. It is a five star resort. Yes, it's expensive and it should be. It cost Steve Wynn $2.7 Billion making it the most expensive resort ever built.
Sure there's going to be a few bugs when opening a new resort with over 9000 employees (this is to be expected). From what I've read elsewhere and experienced during my stay there last week, these flaws are fixed.
The resort is beautiful, the staff is great, the food in the cafe' and buffet was very good. The dinner at the SW Steakhouse was memorable. The room was lovely, not quite as big a Venetians rooms, but the furnishings were of a better class. The casino is well laid out.
The location is good and will be great in a few years. Wynn built this resort in order to start a new building boom and it worked. Soon the New Frontier, the Stardust and the Riviera will be replaced by new resorts. The Venetian has started building the Palazzo right next door, putting Wynn Las Vegas right in the middle of the new north Strip.
This is a great resort and should be appreciated for what it is. There is nothing to complain about concerning this resort, unless you are a middle classed tourist looking for a good deal.

- Good Visit From start to finish, we have nothing but praise for Wynn. We stayed in a Salon Suite, but wanted one done in reds and browns, so called ahead to pre-book a room. Upon arrival in the gorgeous VIP check-in, we were told that room 5003 was pre-booked for us. Excellent! We opened the door to the most beautiful room I could have ever imagined. Gorgeous marble entry with a half-bath to the right, massage parlour to the left, and an entire wall of windows at the far end of the massive living room. Past the entry, there's the full bar to the right, beautiful, roomy, and COMFY dining room area to the left. The living room consisted of 2 huge and EXTREMELY soft and comfortable sofas, as well as a business desk are to the far right, and small sitting area with 2 chairs and a table to the far left. And let's not forget the 50-inch plasma on the wall in the middle of it all! The bedroom was the size of an average hotel room, with amazing king-size bed, 42-inch plasma on the wall, sitting area with luxurious chairs and foot stool. The master bath was seriously as large as my living room. Two big closets on either side of the bath entry, a fully-enclosed toilet room, HUGE deep bathtub with champagne jets (tiny holes lining the tub near the floor that give off the most amazing massage), two sinks, vanity area with chair, and a huge shower with three functions: hand wand, shower head, or rain shower (which was amazing).
We had room-service several times, and it is well worth it. Not only is the food excellent, but the staff actually comes in and sets up a full dining set-up, as well as asking what time they should return to clean up after us! Awesome!
The pool area is gorgeous and nicely layed out. Plenty of soft cozy lounge chairs to choose from. Most of the action was around the Cabana Bar and Sunset Pool. Lots going on there!
We had a great time in the casino, got great drink service on penny slots (!!!), and just really enjoyed wandering the gorgeous facilities. A beautiful enderstated elegance is what Wynn accomplished here. Very whimsical, colorful, but nothing over the top. I highly recommend Wynn, and really cannot begin to understand the negative comments. Maybe we were lucky? At any rate, give it a try. Look around. Look up and down. It's just beautiful.
PS: contrary to what one reviewer mentioned about the lack of water at the pool: they have FREE bottled water at the pool bar, something I've never seen at any other Strip hotel. Just go up and ask for it, and you don't have to be a VIP, as said reviewer was so fond of mentioning.

- Good Visit My friend and I travel to Vegas together once a year for our annual birthday trip, and we usually stay at the Bellagio. Since we couldn't get a decent casino rate from the Bellagio we decided to splurge and try out the Wynn, and booked a room in the Tower for three weekday nights at $269 p.n. After reading so many negative reviews on this and other websites, we were worried. All in all it was a great trip and we will definitely stay there again.
There were some negatives, but they were outweighed by the sheer beauty and comfort of the room and hotel-casino, and the overall terrific service, albeit with the occasional glitch. True, everything at the hotel is indeed spectacularly expensive, sometimes even making the Bellagio look like a bargain. But after steady but low stakes slot play over our few days, we were comped one night and given casino rate for the other two, so in the end the final bill wasn't as bad as we anticipated.
What we loved: heavenly beds, beautiful golf course view, luxurious tub from where I could watch an LCD TV in the bathroom while my friend slept without disturbing her. Comfortable if unexciting pool, great food at Red 8 and SW (Although service at the steakhouse wasn't up to par with the rest of our restaurant experiences there, especially for the price). Lots of places for outdoor dining. The airy open feel of the common areas (except casino, which seemed a little closed in with a low ceiling--but not smoky or loud, so it wasn't unpleasant)was a nice change from the insular world of Vegas resorts, and the breathtaking art, furniture, flowers and other details throughout the casino were a joy to stumble across. Good beverage service in casino, and although pay tables on video poker were typical strip--lousy-- my slot playing friend had a fair amount of luck, and mine on VP wasn't bad either. Most of the hotel personnel with whom we had contact were exceedingly polite and professional, but still unpretentious and witty and seemed to sincerely want to please us. We ate at the lunch buffet after we checked out because we were comped, and although I am not a buffet fan in general, this one was just great--an attractive eating area and high quality food with a wonderful selection. At $15, this is one of the few "values" at the hotel.
What could use improvement: Sometimes service was slower than we would have liked--mostly in restaurants. But any time we had to wait, we were given sincere apologies without having to complain first. I expect that as the staff becomes more experienced and the crowds thin a bit, this problem will fade. The Tableau restaurant which is limited to Tower suite guests during the day was a little stuffy for our tastes. We didn't eat there because it didn't look relaxing or inviting and was really expensive. My suggestion would be to change it to a coffee bar. They need more of those, and less empty restaurants. (And oh where have all the in room coffee makers gone?) Also, for the price of the room, it seems to me that they could at least provide a quart or two of free bottled water to guests. When we ran out of the water we brought, we discovered that what would ordinarily be a dollar bottle of water was $12. That was almost as funny as our $95 pedicures and funnier than our $12 well bloody mary's. Knocking off a few bucks for some basics like this would help customers feel a little less gouged. I appreciated that the "do not disturb" sign had a "please make up room" sign on the back, but housekeeping didn't seem to take the cue. Although we were invariably out of the room before 9 am and left the sign to make up the room, it was rarely done before 3 pm. A $95 pedicure should entitle the guest to use the spa for free but since it was deemed a "salon" service we would have had to pay $25 per day to use the spa. That seemed unreasonable. Although it's too late to do anything about this I think, the tower pool area was completely shaded by about 1:30 pm. Put in a bad place. An ice machine in the tower suite area would be nice.
But the negatives were just nitpicks. We loved the Wynn and can't wait to go back.

- Undecided Visited Wynn Resorts on Saturday 4/30 after opening and had about the same impression. The colors are gaudy and Bellagio on acid about sums it up. However, we do understand the marketing strategy of that approach; cast a bigger net, get more fish. And they are going for the big game fish!
We ate at Terrace Point -lovely, but exceedingly slow. Luckily we went there well before 9 am because it looked to me at least an hour wait for seating in the cafe. Got out with a $60.00 breakfast bill, but we had a Mimosa each. Breakfast food was very similar to Bellagio's cafe in the atrium and about the same price. We then visited the casino and it was okay, but not a lot of luck. What we didn't like was the fact that there are no player's bars with video poker around. The sports bar is quite small and the only bar with video poker. Plus it is right next to the deli, so you have people watching you drink and play while they are standing around in line. Bartender said the lack of video poker at the bars was intentional - Wynn was going for more of a resort atmosphere. Too bad - I like to gamble more than just hang out at a resort. The staff was exceedingly courteous, very accomodating, and friendly.
In our brief visit, our impression was that it lacked the elegantly reserved yet relaxed atmosphere of Bellagio.

- Good Visit I visited the resort on Sunday 5/1/05 from 11:00 PM until 1:00 AM. I did not stay at Wynn Las Vegas during this trip.
My first impression happened at the corner of the Strip and Sands Ave. The area outside the entrance (via the Esplanade) is stunning. A large pond winds its way toward the "mountain" with various waterfalls (one over 100' tall) and lush vegetation. A pedestrian bridge spanning this pond guides visitors inside. Rising high above the Strip is the automated Wynn sign. This is the coolest sign I have ever viewed. Yes, viewed is the correct term as this sign is a show in and of itself. I watched the whole 15 minute sign-show which has a soundtrack emanating from speakers hiding in the foliage.
I entered the Esplanade which, like the Bellagio, is an assortment of high-end shops, some restaurants and the Wynn Gallery. The overall decor struck me as unexpected. I was expecting a clean, modern, Zen like, desert design (based on the architecture of the very modern rooms building). The design is, elegant, opulent, very colorful, and maybe over done, but again, I was expecting simple.
The Esplanade gives way to a large atrium with oodles of flowers and trees. One would expect to be dumped into the casino at this point and this was a refreshing surprise. The casino borders the opposite side of the twin atriums which are divided by a lounge at the center point. This is where the average Joe can get a glimpse of the lake without dining at one of the expensive lakeside restaurants. The bright colors became brighter and the opulent design invades every nook and cranny of this large resort. I am a designer and do not agree with a lot of the design choices. Some clash, brown walls with red flowered carpet and mustard green inserts with painted flowers. This place is like the Bellagio on drugs.
I must say that the workmanship and materials used are impeccable. Most folks will not notice that imported plaster is used everywhere. Other resorts use plastics for these details. The walls look like brown wicker from a distance but touching them reveals they are tufted satin. Hand laid mosaic tiles are under foot. OK, I do see the 2.7 billion but too much is too much.
Every employee I spoke with was lovely and informed, some were conversational. Everything here is expensive. We went into the "Drug Store" gift shop and purchased 1) 12oz Wynn water 2)16oz Cokes 3) small bags of Wynn chocolates and 3) candy bars and the total with tax was $47.00. We went to the Terrace Cafe (the cheapest restaurant open 24 hours) and ordered 1) cappuccino 2) coffees and only 1) crème brulee and the total was $28.00. I can't imagine how much dinner at one of the many nicer restaurants would cost. I have good taste but not deep pockets.
The casino wasn't as tight as expected and nicely laid out. The whole resort has an easy to navigate plan which does not sprawl like most other resorts. I could go on and on with more observations but I don't feel like writing a book here.
One more cool thing. The resort houses a Ferrari/Maserati dealership. We strolled down that corridor to have a look. It was midnight and as expected, it was closed. We were able to view some cars through the windows and while drooling over them, five suites came through and opened the door to the dealership. I recognized the grey suite as Steve Wynn himself and said "hey Steve, nice place, way to go" to which he answered "thanks George" Hey; maybe he calls every stranger George.

Feels small and cramped, nothing grandeous for Wynn.Flat looking, prices way too high for the average tourist which is what vegas was built on or used to be built on.
$500.00 for a round of golf? $30.00 for a t-shirt with only the wynn name on it,60.00 for the polo shirt??
Right now it's hard to access BUT they are working on finishing the crosswalk bridges.
It's okay but for whay he is rumored to have spent.....he got ripped off if he spent that much money for what we think is a oevrpriced place, nothing really stood out.

I didn't stay at the Wynn but since it is so new I thought you might like a review of the coffee shop, shops, and terrace bar, plus general look of the lobby. I expected the elegant Bellagio but the Wynn is more like the Land of Oz. Bright flowers everywhere -- beds of them on the floor, tiled into the floor, and hanging from the ceiling. Big, colorful parasols, too. There are two outdoor terraces that have an amazing feel of being in middle of a forest (I actually live in a forest in the mountains) with huge and very realistic waterfalls where you can sit and eat or drink. I had a drink at "The Lake of Dreams" and it took forever to get waited on by an unfriendly cocktail waitress. I also had coffee and a cookie at the other terrace where you just take it out there yourself. Everywhere I went the staff seemed preoccupied, probably because it was brand new. The shops were fabulous, of course and staff there was friendly. Sorry I can't add more, but this is a start at least.
