These are probably the nicest rooms I’ve stayed in while in Las Vegas. Big TV, another TV in the bathroom, great shower area and great views are some of the highlights. I did think it odd that they didn’t have a coffee maker, while their sister property Green Valley Ranch did.
As with most Station Casinos, the casino is very nice and one wouldn’t need to leave the property if they didn’t want to with all the dining, recreation and gaming options.
The spa is awesome, and I suggest you take advantage of it if you stay here, as I believe there is an unavoidable resort fee added (even if you're comped in some cases).

We are from Hawaii stayed at Red Rock Casino Resort for two days. This was the best hotel stay that we had ever had. Been in hotels in foreign countries, other states and in Hawaiian resorts, this was the best in service, accommodations, and everything else including their restrauants. We would definitely stay there again./gkn

Just back from a 3night midweek end of June visit to Red Rock. If you are going soon, be sure to request a room away from construction. We were on the sixth floor near the elevator with a pool/mountain view. We never were bothered by construction noise. I have seen many complaints by the not so luckily situated though.
Overall I think this property is a great value if you want a luxurious room off the strip. The rooms are very comparable to the Wynn (maybe a little smaller but not appreciably so.) I loved the design of the hotel and the decor of the rooms. Very retro Palm Springs with a little feng shui thrown in. The designer thought of things like setting the rooms off in alcoves from the main hallway, so you don't hear the hallway traffic. Beds are super comfortable. Loved the 42 inch plasma in the room. Nicest TV in any of the standard hotel rooms I've ever been in. Better than Wynn, THEhotel, etc.
Speaking of TVs, there are TVs everywhere here. If you are looking for a sportswatching getaway weekend (final four or college football for example) this is a nice feature.
I liked the casino layout. The chairs were adjustable and comfortable. Not too smoky. Only a few full pay video poker machines, ("optimum pay" hidden in corner and always full) but if you are used to the strip lousy paytables, these are comparable. Cocktail service was mostly good. Handpays, very slow. At times and in places, unusually noisy--Rio like at times.
This hotel is not yet fully open. When it is, I hope they plan on adding a pool. The one they have would be too small for this hotel when fully occupied on weekends. Speaking of the pool. Music is way too loud there. They need more adjustable chairs, and they might want to have a few umbrellas available and /or misters for the guests. You could only get out of the sun, or get misted if you rented a cabana. Midweek, the pool was pretty empty relatively speaking, but it was 105+ degrees during our stay.
Midweek the crowd was mostly seniors. I don't know if it is different on weekends, but since I usually try to do Vegas midweek, I am familiar with the upscale strip hotel crowds midweek in summer. The crowds in the strip hotels midweek are definitely more youthful than the Red Rock crowd we saw. That said, it is obvious that the hotel is marketing itself to a younger crowd based upon the music and decor.
Bars were dead at night. we didn't try the Cherry nightclub though, but it seemed quiet midweek.
Restaurants were not that impressive. The food was good at Salt Lick. Not so good at the oyster bar. Acceptable but not memorable at the mexican restaurant and cafe. We didn't try the buffet where there were long lines all day. There is also a food court with various fast food choices and a few Starbucks. Oddly neither were open late or opened early. The one exceptional eatery was the italian place Terra Rossa. Great food and reasonably priced for quality. Highly recommended. Restaurant prices are a little better than the high end strip resorts.
Service by hotel and restaurant staff was mostly inexperienced. Not snooty or rude, but most were definitely not schooled to anticipate guests' needs, like offering a pen with the diner's check. We checked in early, the room was not yet ready but assigned. Somehow two hours after official checkin time and nearly four hours after we checked in, the room was still not ready. Why wouldn't housekeeping be alerted to expedite the cleaning of a room upon the guests' check in?
Despite the above criticisms, I would be happy to return to this resort if I got a good rate.

Casino visit only, in late June,2006. I loved the casino. It was laid out well, had a lot of energy, good cocktail service, and a great selection of some of the newest slot machines. The grounds were beautiful. I'd love to stay there some time, even though it is quite far from the Strip and Downtown.

This hotel had only been open for 3 weeks when I stayed there, so I shouldn't be too hard....the good things first: It is breathtaking. The Frank Lloyd Wright design and the colors mesh perfectly with the mountains behind the hotel. The layout is good--the some of the touches, like the dark red tinted doors to the lobby, are great. Service at check-in, and the restaurants, was top notch.
Now the bad. For the price (which includes a "resort fee," that they don't tell you about when you book the room), the resort needs work. First, the sensory overload factor. I don't take vacations to get bombarded with "house" music at the pool (at full volume) and in the casino and elevators. Plasma TVs everwhere. TVs built into the bathroom mirrors. I mean, really--was that expense really needed? And all of the focus on "high tech visual" and "techno" noise at the pool took away from the basics. We did not get toilet paper replaced and new glasses after the first night there. There was no "do not disturb" sign and the high-tech "do not disturb" switch was jammed (only after three weeks). The front desk had no "traditional" plastic hanging signs, so they had to make one by hand.
Did the big wigs who made that decision presume the "do not disturb" switch and light would NEVER break?
The elevator doors close way too fast--they nearly took my arm off.
The mini bar is one of those new "computerized" ones, so be prepared to get charged for something even if you take it out, and put it back in. (Luckily they took that off our bill).
The night club, CHERRY, (as the case with Pure at Caesars), plays the awful "thumping" house music until the wee hours, and it will keep you up at night.
For all of these "twentysomething" appeals, there were a lot of families with small kids here. This is not a kid-friendly place.
I'll give it an "undecided" vote since they are new. I have written a letter expressing my concerns to them, which has not been responded to yet. I am willing to give them another chance but don't plan on flying to Vegas anytime soon. At least until next year.
