Pool at MGM Grand Hotel/Casino

Month Visited: 08/13
Fabulous pool area. 4 large pools. Very nice pool store for towels, lotion etc. Numerous bars
throughout. Never had an issue getting a lounger. They do not let you put a towel or book on it
and save it for later. Your not there you lose the lounger.
We went early and left early before the sun got too hot (August). So if it got busy in the pm we
weren't there to see it. I do think its a younger crowd and the music is recent and blasts
constantly. There kids don't get up early so you can take advantage of the early mornings if your
older.

Beautiful pool. Always very clean. Never overcrowded. Plenty of space to walk and lounge. We've been coming here for years and it's definitely our favorite pool in Las Vegas.

Pool at Hard Rock Las Vegas Hotel & Casino

Month Visited: 06/09
Me and my friends from college were in Vegas for our buddies' bachelor party and we went to Rehab on Sunday. One word can best describe the party at Rehab: Amazing!

We booked nights out at several nightclubs through www.vegashotspots.com and had a great time. But nothing compared to the party at Rehab! So many hot girls, such a cool party atmosphere. Not to put down any of the nightclubs, which were fun, but this pool party was the best thing we did all weekend. And it wasn't just me who said this, it was everyone in our party of 10 guys.

I have never been to this pool on a day other than Rehab, so I'm not sure how exciting it is then, but if you are going to go to the pools in Vegas, you HAVE to hit up Rehab!

These pools are so tiny! They have two pools but when I went they were both packed and it was hard to
get a chair. I figured a huge resort like this would have a much bigger pool or at least more than 2 tiny
pools. It was hard to get drinks and we had to go back to our rooms to get ID because we weren't planning
on getting carded at the pool. I would recommend going somewhere else if you are looking for a good
pool, or at least going early in the day to get a good spot.

Pool at Signature at MGM Grand

Month Visited: 08/09
This was our 2nd visit to Signature. It is hands down the best place in Vegas. Each 3 towers has its own simple not too large pool. However it is QUIET and PEACEFUL. Plenty of softly padded sunbeds with fullsize towels (that cover the entire bed) available. Complimentary icecold waterbottles in unlimited supplies. Airconditioned clean bathrooms in just yards from pool. Food and drinks available in the bar also just steps from the pool. Pool is just off the lobby; no need to hike thru casinos or shopping hallways as in most LV hotels. Signature is all non smoking.

Pool at MGM Grand Hotel/Casino

Month Visited: 08/09
We used to love MGM pools but lately they are too full and noisy. No chance of getting a sunbed and you will lose your kids there at some point...Lazy river is always full of drinking young adults especially late afternoon. Very very far from guestrooms. Do not stay at MGM for its pools, go anywhere else for a simple pool and enjoy more peace and quiet closer to your room.

Pool at Four Seasons Hotel

Month Visited: 09/08
Best pool on the strip by far and I've stayed at most. Might be issues when it's really busy as it's quite
small, think capacity is 60, but you do have access to the Mandalay Bay pool, so all is not lost. 4Seasons
pool was so good we never went to the Mandalay Bay pool, which we consider the best before our visit
here.

Attendent are professional and lay out your towels for you. Free Jug of ice water and glasses.
Comfortable loungers. Pool is nice and warm. Attendents come around every hour or so and offer free
smoothies, ice creams, sunglass cleaning etc. Also the gym is next to the pool area and is free to use
and has great equipment.

Easily the best pool experience on the strip and possibly las vegas.

Not the best pool, but certainly not the worst. It's large, so you can normally find somewhere to sit. Have

Pool at Mandalay Bay

Month Visited: 09/08
Only bettered by the Four Seasons pool. This is a great place to be while in Vegas. Only trouble is, it's so
good everyone is there. You'll need to get down there early to get a spot, otherwise you'll be hanging
around with everyone else who go up late looking for somewhere to sit. Weekends are a nightmare, as the
place is packed out. So if you're a late starter or have a large group, not the best idea. But still a great
place and 2nd best pool on the strip (if it's empty).

MGM is set-up for everyone and is a great pool area. Plenty of shade for those who don't want skin
cancer. Can get very busy and difficult to find more than 2 or 3 beds together unless you're up early.
Plenty to do and great for kids. Beware, it's a long walk from your room!

Nice pool, but too small for the size of the hotel. It's very poplar and you can find it hard to get sunbeds.
They also put the sunbeds very close together, so not the place if you don't like close contact with people
you don't know. Other than that it's pretty good, just crowded.

Pool at Paris Las Vegas Resort & Casino

Great pool area with plenty of space and plenty of beds. Be warned the sun takes a while to get over the
hotels and then chases you around the pool in the afternoon to stay in the sun. Was there in September
2008. Also the pool if very very cold, all day. So if you like to use the pool to swim or just hang out, be
sure you like it very cold. I don't and stayed out!

Very basic, but then you're paying peanuts to stay at the sahara, so it's what you should expect. Never
been too busy when I've been there and can always get a bed, which can be said for a few of the
expensive hotels on the strip. No Great if you plan to spend a lot of your time by the pool, but good for a
few hours a day.

Pool at Venetian Resort Hotel Casino

Month Visited: 04/09
Venetian pool has been revamped since I first stayed there in 2001. Was there in April and the weather
was good one day, poor the next. Pool was so packed I couldn't get a bed one day and another I was in
the shade for 2 hours waiting for the sun to get over the buildings. Great pool area, but does get very
busy and lots of it's in the shade. 90% of it was shaded at 9am and 50% at 10.30am. Not sure if it gets
better in the summer, but can be a problem, as you end up without somewhere to sit in the sun or
chasing it around the pool. Still a great place to stay with everything you could want, you just need to plan
ahead a little to enjoy it to the full.

Pool at Mandalay Bay

Month Visited: 09/08
The Mandalay bay has done excellent in making the pool area exciting and secure. There are about 4 or 5 pools open to the public. A wave pool, a circular pool with rotating current flow in an anti clockwise direction it is easy to believe it is realxing just floating round, yet it currents stimulates activity as it flows round.

Then there are two other quiet pools which are very relaxing round the back.

Sadly the pool areas are so popular it is dificult to find a place to sun bathe.

The wave pool has a glass fronted casino in front of it open during pool hours.

The old pool was open one day while I was there and was ideal for people who enjoy the quiet and peace and avoided activity. I do hope they keep the old pool open as it can be used when the hotel is full adn then fulfill every ones needs.

The MGM has MANY pools! Like a water park. There is an adult only pool, which is nice because there are many children at the other pools. I enjoyed laying out around the lazy river pool, because you can get in quickly if you get hot, and you get to people watch! There are big waterfalls, and all kinds of fun stuff. We met up with some people that let us hang out in one of the many cabanas that you can rent out, which have personal waitresses and massage therapists. Very nice!

Mandalay Bay is upgrading one of its pools.....good idea, I guess. BUT, while we were there, poolside space was hard to find, unless you went to line up at 8:00 a.m. as my husband did one day. I don't know why they don't do these remodels during the winter months....far fewer people pooside in Decmeber as opposed to spring break. Until the new pool is opened this summer, be prepared to line up EARLY in order to get a chaise lounge.

Pool at Sahara Hotel and Casino

Month Visited: 03/07
One of my favorite pools in Vegas. Not only is it HUGE (5,000 sq feet) but it is comfortably heated...nothing worse than jumping into a freezing pool on a beautiful day! The pool has a ledge built into the inside of the pool down the two long sides, making it wonderful to just sit in the water during the "warmer" months.
The jacuzzi seats at least 10 people and is a gathering spot for folks to trade "ratings" on restaurants and shows.
If you are looking for the "beautiful people" to hang with - this is NOT your pool. Lots of middle aged, friendly folks and little or no hard bodies.
Drink service is available chairside (cocktail waitress) or a short stroll over to the pool bar with a $2 tip will get you a friendly bartender and a killer frozen drink (it is a full service bar and prices are consistant with casino drink prices).
I rented a cabana last summer. $10 gets you a plain cabana with 2 lounge chairs, 2 chairs, a table and a cooler full of ice and bottled water (I purchased some bottled iced teas from the gift shop and tossed them into the cooler).
Unlike some other casinos, there are plenty of shade trees around the pool, so I only rented a cabana so the galpals and I could play a cards in shady privacy.
The only down side is: make sure you bring sandals/shoes, as this is an older pool and the concrete deck surrounding the pool can get VERY toasty on your tootsies!
Will I go back? - You bet! I have reservations in 3 weeks for 2 nights, so I can work on my tan in happy bliss here!
